Love our new kitchen design!!! Mike Bliss of the Gaithersburg showroom designed our dream kitchen, was so helpful, and very responsive during the entire process. To say we are obsessed with our new kitchen is an understatement. Mike thought of everything - best drawer placement, best flow, best of everything! My entire family of 5 has so much space to all cook together without getting into each others way. The design gave us a Lazy Susan which holds all of our small kitchen appliances, a pantry with 5 rollout drawers which we didnt have before, MUCH BETTER traffic flow, and drawers in the island which open directly into the open dishwasher which makes it super fast to empty the d/w. Everything is perfectly positioned and spacious. People cant believe this is the same kitchen as before. We removed 1 wall to open the breakfast area into the cooking space and it looks as if we moved every wall - theres tons of space we never knew we had before. This design is everything and we will be forever spoiled. Preparing and cleaning up after Thanksgiving this year in our new kitchen was pure joy! Thanks, Mike, for giving us the space, function, AND BEAUTY we were missing! Cant recommend Mike Bliss enough!

AMAZING! Everyone from Mike (who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and great to work with as he helped us design our kitchen) to John (who professionally and perfectly installed our cabinets ) to Miranda (who was on top of all the scheduling), the experience could not have been better (even through covid). The quality of the cabinets, the thoroughness of their work and the ease of the process were all exceptional. I would use them again and again! Since some may assume that their product is less than excellent due to their name, my only suggestion is that they change their name - nothing less than excellent about them. Thanks to all of you!

It was a mistake to buy cabinets here. We thought we were paying far more than Home Depot to get a well designed kitchen. This was not the case. This picture illustrates just one of the many issues we had: the design calls for the cabinets to be placed over part of the hood range, meaning grease gets sucked into the cabinet, making this white a disgusting brown every time we use the vent.

Cabinet Discounters created an amazing kitchen for us! Mike Bliss has a real talent for design and came up with a perfect solution for my uneven ceiling. When the contractor drilled a hole in the wrong place, Mike replaced the cabinet door for free. Their products are top quality but their prices are reasonable. They are responsive, professional and just very nice people. I plan on using them to design a wet bar and mud room soon. We also used Creative In Counters for our Cambria countertops. Absolutely perfect job! I highly recommend Cabinet Discounters and Creative In Counters!

Mike, I just want to let you know how pleased we are with the Cabinet Disounter’s technician (Ward from the Columbia Office) that you sent to our house to address the mysterious markings that were on several of our cabinets. I am sorry that we can’t remember his name but he is an excellent representative of your company. He arrived on time, analyzed the marking on the cabinets and carefully and patiently removed the mysterious streaks on the cabinet doors. From the showroom consultations with Mike Bliss, to the countertop install, each member of the team was polite, professional, knowledgeable and accountable. Went with Calcutta Laza quartz with an edged profile and Brighton cabinets. Plug on the cabinets: not a costly upgrade for the product quality; the adjustable rollout shelves and full door overlays speak for themselves. No need to be twist around a middle separator under a kitchen sink is priceless. We compared prices with a national home improvement chain. You get what you pay for holds true. If youre considering a renovation, put this team at the top of your list. You wont ever be disappointed.

Mike was our sales rep - he captured our design vision and made it reality. After the order was complete there were a few miscues from the factory - one cabinet was broken in transit, and then another was missing its pre-drilled shelf holes. All I can say is, WOW!!!I am incredibly grateful our contractor sent us to Mike Bliss at Cabinet Discounters in Gaithersburg. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable about different cabinets and spent a lot of time reviewing our options. That being said, we feel in love with the Brighton inset cabinets on display in the showroom. Mike still took the time to show us many different cabinet options but at the end of the day, the Brighton inset simply blew us away. We had a design in mind and Mike helped us fine tune it (multiple times through the process) to make sure we had the best possible design which not only looked great but also worked great. His design also helped us keep the cost down and made it easier to afford such a high end cabinet.Mike also connected us with the counter top folks and guided us through that process. Mike was always incredibly responsive and always there to help. Heck, just before we placed the final order for the cabinets, he lent us cabinet color samples to make sure we liked how they looked in the light of our home. Needless to say, we changed the color to a slightly darker cabinet as it looked different in our home than with the showroom lights. What a save!!! Several years ago in 2003 I contracted with cabinet Discounters to design and remodel my kitchen. Mike Bliss and his team did a great job of matching our desires and the constraints of the room to create a beautiful kitchen with 42 inch cherry cabinets, Silestone countertops, stainless steel sinks, usable work space, etc. We have been extremely happy with all aspects of out kitchen. Recently our pullout drawer containing our trash bin wouldnt stay closed. On a chance, I called Cabinet Discounters and spoke with Mike about the problem and he volunteered to try to get replacement slides for the drawer. Thats what I would call Continued great service. I would highly recommend Cabinet Discounters for your kitchen design and quality cabinets.

We have used Cabinet Discounters for two major projects over the last 7 years and have had a great experience both times. We remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms in 2006. We basically gutted our entire kitchen and bathrooms and started over. We had the greatest designer, Jim ONeil working with us on the new designs. Jim worked we us for about 4 months until we all were happy with the design and made sure we had incorporated all of our ideas. Cabinet Discounters then created a truly functional kitchen and baths. The installer was a gem and all of the work was completed on time and on budget. We would recommend both Cabinet Discounters and Jim ONeil without reservation.

After 16 years in our home, we decided it was finally time to renovate our kitchen. Their electricians and plumbers did their work without any problems. In addition to being happy with their cabinets, recommendations for granite and appliances were also very useful and productive .

Overall, great experience. The sales people offered a very competitive price given it was custom ordered granite. Carlos did a great job laser measuring the kitchen and offering useful suggestions. Jacob at Creative InCounters (the sister company that does the production and installation) did a great job showing us the actual slab layout and offering us to make adjustments. The two guys that did the tear out and installation did a great job and did the necessary modifications to make everything fit perfectly and be secure. The countertops are absolutely beautiful! Two negatives that resulted in a loss of one star: they did not seal the granite per their commitment--not sure how they can do that after installation given there is wet caulk in several places--I sealed them the next day; the cleaning and sealer products they recommend in their care guide are not the products they left us with. This sealer, per the directions on the bottle, requires a 30 hour prep and application time--not acceptable! Furthermore, these off brand products are only available from the manufacturer and not available from home improvement stores nor Amazon. Lastly, the sealer leaves a strange waxy feel--will not use it again. Yes, I do recommend Cabinet Discounters and Creative InCounters.

Our house burned down and when we rebuilt, we expanded our kitchen. We worked with Lu Morley in Gaithersburg and she was fabulous. This was a complicated job because we wanted to match half of our old cabinets that could be restored instead of replaced. Cant say enough good things about my kitchen remodeling experience with Cabinet Discounters. I worked with Tess Moran in their Gaithersburg branch and she was able to very quickly get a sense of my style and then guide me through the cabinet, countertop and floor selection process. And the demolition/installation process went like clockwork. Everything was scheduled in advance and all the various specialists (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, tilers, countertop installers) kept to the schedule. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Unbelievable and horrible - cabinets came through the delivery without padding, 12 of 17 doors damaged, scratched or warped. Now the whole kitchen project delayed for God knows how long, in limbo now. Customer service is unresponsive. Gaithersburg, MD office. Would never recommend them.

My wife and I began thinking about renovating our kitchen from the moment we purchased our home nine months ago. In the end, the Cabinet Discounters team in Gaithersburg Maryland went above and beyond all of our expectations and created the perfect kitchen for our family.We began our process, upon advice from family members, by inviting a number of kitchen renovation firms and independent contractors to our home to bid on our kitchen. We quickly weeded out those people who instantly made us feel uncomfortable, as well as those firms who we believed were overcharging for one reason or another. During this time we met with the team at Cabinet Discounters. The showroom was very professional with most of their materials on display and a plethora of choices available to families like us. The team was very welcoming from the start and was very open to listening to our suggestions as well as adding their own creative touch to help bring our kitchen to the next level. We were even informed, through an unsolicited phone call at the last minute, of a spectacular sale from one of the higher end cabinet producers that allowed us to upgrade our cabinets and save money. This is quality service from people who care about results, not just making the sale.Once we decided to go with Cabinet Discounters the process was quick, simple, and incredibly professional. Firm schedules were set for delivery, install, and secondary work such as plumbing and electrical. Above all else, our general contractor, Chip, was the most amazing part of this entire process. We gave him a firm deadline for when the kitchen had to be complete and day after day my wife and I watched as he worked diligently through the long list of his jobs. He would routinely stay well after traditional working hours to ensure that everything was complete. Chip completed all of this as he worked around our 80 pound yellow lab puppy and a family with a seven-month old baby. Although our timeline was short, Chip was able to complete every task on time with a level of professionalism and quality that few contractors display nowadays. Whenever we would come home from work, we would find Chip meticulously working on installing cabinets, tearing up our floor, patching holes in the walls, or working on any of the other innumerable tasks involved in our large kitchen renovation. More than any other aspect of the Cabinet Discounters experience, Chip made this process so easy, welcoming, and professional and he is the main reason why we are so incredibly happy with the results.Truthfully, both my wife and I were originally hesitant to work with Cabinet Discounters. We both held onto a belief that we should go with a small firm who would focus on our job as if it were the only one they currently had. We wanted a one-on-one experience with salespeople and a general contractor who made us comfortable and would answer any questions we had. We recently moved from our residential neighborhood home of 38 years to a condominium apartment in Leisure World. The apartment kitchen was outdated and provided only half the space we had previously enjoyed in our old home. We therefore were faced with the challange of redesigning cabinets, utilities, and appliances that would provide an efficient and attractive kitchen within the limited space available. Jim ONiel of Cabinet Discounters came to our apartment armed with a laptop and a measuring tape and suggested several alternate methods of creating a functional kitchen that might work for us. He then provided us with design drawings for us to peruse at our leisure. After we settled on a kitchen layout that met our needs, Jim met with us at the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Gaithersburg and we chose materials that were both attractive, durable, and reasonably priced. The installation of the new cabinets took place while we were away so Jim stopped by periodically to see that the work was completed according to plan. We are very pleased with our new kitchen. Thanks to Jim and Cabinet Discounters, we have a new kitchen that is both attractive, functional, and will service us for many years to come.

We were a first time remodeler anxious with all the details of a complete bath remodel.Jim ONeil did a fabulous job designing a custom vanity with a banjo-style countertop for our bath. He showed the layouts at different angles on his computer with complete measurements. Also, samples of the items were right at the store which made selections easier. His attention to detail was superb which made the vanity & countertop fit seamlessly in the bath. He went beyond to suggest other aspects of bath remodeling. His experience is a true asset to have for any customer. He even gladly sent a replacement drawer when we thought a wood grain on it ruined the look.We would definitely be coming back for our future big projects assured everything will fall right in place during construction.

While the outcome of Cabinet Discounters work was satisfactory, the “process” was so bad we will never use them again. Numerous mistakes along the way caused the job (redoing both full baths in our house) to take twice as long. For example, the shower door installer ruined one finished bath by trying to install the door in the wrong bath. Worse, and unbelievably, CD did not finish the first bath before starting and making substantial progress on the second! The last straw, however, was that CD refused to take responsibility for making sure that the tile and grout purchased were what was needed to do the job (the customer has the nominal responsibility to buy the tile, but CD neither gave us proper instruction for doing this nor checked our work). It wasn’t just the result – the wrong grout was used in each bathroom, one of the causes of the delays experienced – but the fact that up and down the company, from the salesman and the scheduler to the troubleshooter and ultimately the co-owner, they refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the mistakes that were caused. More than one representative persisted in blaming us. This is a company to avoid.
