An amazingly stocked European themed local grocery store. They have well stocked walls of chocolates, perogies, dumplings, canned mushrooms, frozen fruits, ice cream, processed meats, and pastries (fresh and frozen). The staff are helpful although sometimes a little stern

I love Taste of Europe. They have high quality Eastern European foods both packaged, canned and fresh. If you love smoked fish like me this is the best place to get it. They have a full deli counter with smoked fish, caviar, Eastern European sausages, cheese, and an assortment of prepared dishes and pies (filled rolls). They have amazing cakes and chocolate as well. Here are pictures of their Russian Honey Cake and an assortment of their fresh made pies with poppy seed sweet rolls. If your looking for Eastern European foods or simply want to try some new food experiences, the Taste of Europe is the place to go

Alright people, this is a great little store. They have a grand selection of tasty foods and beverages. Teas, candies, sauces, meats, and veg. Fresh made foods too, like stuffed cabbage, Russian pierogies, etc, etc. Well worth the field trip from West Virginia. And Kvass!Thats all, peace, out.

Great selection of Ukrainian food. Super friendly staff. They always give a free gift (we got chocolate bars). Just please don’t give Russian chocolate to customers who speak Ukrainian.

So happy to have found this store! Great assortments of quality Eastern European foods (mostly from the ex Soviet space), from fresh cheese, sausage and salami (check the kabanos meat sticks) to ginger bread and brine pickles. Have I mentioned the chocolate? Not only that I had hapy taste related flashbacks from my otherwise almost forgotten Romanian childhood, 50+ years ago, but I got the seal of approval of my otherwise very picky wife who is usualy very circumspect when presented with new foods.

Taste of Europe is such a fun experience! From the candy to the fresh made food to the various drinks, I never run out of the things to try and have yet to be disappointed. I always buy the white bubble chocolate (light, melts in your mouth), the fruit drops (hard candies in different flavors), khachapuris (cheese pastries), chicken kiev (stuffed chicken patties), and various other pastries filled with meat. I also enjoy the various sodas they have from a mojito flavor to a pear flavor, they are quite different than American sodas and really delicious. I have found everything to taste wonderful so far and the different ready made food is a great easy lunch to heat up in the oven/toaster oven! If you are a tea person, they have a great selection, I discovered a lemon and lime tea and a mango tea that I have been enjoying immensely. Also, the people that work there are super nice and informative and are always welcoming.

Taste of Europe, in reality, Taste of North Eastern Europe, is the place to go to for freshly made Russian delicacies, including borscht, salad Olivier, eggplants in French style and more. They also have a nice selection of home style cottage cheese.. For special occasions they have a variety of fresh cakes. The produce is not overpriced, their staff consists of lovely youngsters who are very friendly and eager to help. Do not hesitate to check the place out. Wont be disappointed.

Best European store in Gaithersburg. My boyfriend is Serbian so I often shop here for Bende smoked bacon(slanina), Milka, ajvar, wine, and other Balkan related items. I recently discovered that their cakes are delicious, not too sweet, just perfect! Great people who work here, they are always so kind to help an American girl with things I can’t find(or read) :)

Great place for special needsI really like their selection of cheeses. you can find varieties of cheese that you cannot find and most places. The quality is excellent and the prices are reasonable. They also have a large selection of lunch meats that are completely different from those that you would find at your local supermarket. The selection of smoked fish is outstanding. This place is my go-to for caviar.

Very good Russian grocery store. If you are from former USSR, you will find most or all of the things you need, but not sure about Europe part. (More like taste of Russia and former USSR) :) One of those niche stores with foods from childhood you crave every once in a while. Definitely make the drive there every couple of months to stock up on Russian food.

Location and variety is good but the service...VERY rude!! Asked their male cashier about the price and noted that it was very high, he told me that he doesnt care about my opinion and that I could leave if I dont like something. Taste of Europe is the best (and the biggest) Russian store in the area. It has the best selection of everything you can imagine, the prices are the same as every other Russian store, and theres super nice and friendly staff.

I like the various rye breads (authentic Russian rye) made in Brooklyn, NY. Inexpensive. Store always gives me a senior discount without me asking.

My wife ordered some sort of fish from the deli and it was not as advertised.(wrong fish of a lower quality).. Otherwise, service was great, selection was very diverse, and the blonde at the checkout counter was a 10. Well be back.
