For being a new ride they definitely help me learn and find out alot before I official brought my bike. all the guys and wonderful lady treated me like an old friend happy to see me converse on any topic I didn’t know or wanted to know more about and any problems I was having it was only a call away to get right .so I definitely thank all of them for there help and made cycle max my go to spot .oh and if you want a parking spot forget about it lol
Best experience, Don made the process easy, fun and enjoyable. All of the staff where nice and helpful. They have a great inventory of bikes and accessories as well as GREAT prices. Being a car salesman I always look for great customer service and they definitely provided that. I will recommend everyone to cyclemax.
The staff treated me professionally and was extremely knowledgeable about the motorcycle I was buying. They were easy to work with and gave me a great deal on the bike.
Great Experience overall. Got all the info I needed, purchase was smooth and Don, the owner, was very respectful and professional about the whole process. I was too busy to pick it up, so he even arranged to have my bike delivered to my house! When I upgrade to a newer model bike ill be sure to come back to Cycle Max.
Not that friendly. Only 1 person was welcoming while the others pretty much stared and rolled their eyes. No real customer service and make you feel stupid when u ask questions about service on motorcycle and answering back quickly that they are busy and dont have time. I hate leaving negative comments but just speaking the truth.
Twice I have gone to them. Once for a battery for a 2000 Gold-wing then when I needed an electrical problem fixed. Both times they were no help. First time they don’t carry the battery. Second time they won’t even look at it said I should go to the Honda dealer. I now think of them as Cyclemin
Sarah & Scott were super friendly and knowledgeable. Made closing the deal on my Gold Wing F6B a Breeze.
Lots of bikes. Very nice staff. Chris was friendly and not pushy.
Called today to make an appointment for service and was told they were booked 2 1/2 weeks out. I was cool with that and wanted to make an a time to get in line. I was told they arent taking appointments and I should call back in a couple weeks.....Really??Read all the reviews and thought I found the place especially because I was referred by the Harley Dealer down the street.....Disappointed.....
Great guys and very knowledgeable! Don and Chris are really cool and know their stuff. Really fair on the price. Will be back when I decide to get another bike
Great selection and knowledgable staff
On Friday June 18th I called to schedule service on my bike. A guy named Chris answered and informed me that Id need to call back on Monday to do any scheduling. No biggie. I eagerly waited over the weekend for Monday to arrive. Monday June 21 I called. Someone answered hello . I replied hello. They replied hello . Thinking I had the wrong number, I asked was this Cycle Max. He replied yes. A little taken back, I informed him I was told to call in today for service. He responded I dont know whod tell you that, were closed on Mondays. Obviously a little annoyed, I said okay, Ill call tomorrow . Tuesday morning June 22, I called. Chris again answered. Took all of my information and assured a call back with in 30 minutes. Needless to say, I never received a call before the close of business. I called back Wednesday June 23. Chris again answered. To my amaze, he had ZERO record of who I was or the service I needed. Said hed been too busy, but would take my information and call me back before the end of day AGAIN. Well, that once again never happened. At this point, I was pretty much set on not begging these people to take my money, but what the heck, Iet me give email a try. On a side note, I emailed another Motorcycle repair shop the same day and got a response with in 20 minutes. As of today, August 16th, 2021, Ive never heard back from CycleMax.With over 24 years in Retail, 14 of which as a retail manager, and just a normal guy/customer looking for help. I find this absolutely unacceptable customer service from CycleMax. Honestly, I cant even call is customer service as I received none on five separate attempts. Theres no excuse and I will never shop for my future Bikes, Accessories, or service from this company again.
It was my first time here because was driving to JK in FrederickUnbelievable place they took me right away with appointmentThe prices excellent way cheaper that the dealer in FrederickChris at the desk did everything to please me
Meticulous, knowledgeable and honest. I have been bringing my bikes there for a few years. Their mechanic shop has been on point from custom jobs to basic oil changes to reaping OEM fairings and restoring. They don’t use hard sell tactics or try to suggest repairs that aren’t needed. They also have a nice selection of aftermarket and riding gear... nicely priced too. If you need a part, Don can usually get it cheaper then most competitors... and you’ll leave ensured it’s the correct part... :-). All and all, 4 years coming here for all my motorcycle needs. I enjoy the “people first” feeling that I get from this business.Update: sold my VFR and brought the new toy for an inspection and to get some motech crash bars installed on my BMW R nine T (R9T). Don is very knowledgeable, helpful and honest. Mechanics are awesome and knowledgeable with all make and models. Cyclemax has all you need; from parts to riding gear to accessories.
Called for information and Chris answered and was a great help with a very positive attitude. I’m excited to purchase a onewheel from this store!
Great place lots of bikes to see
I have had two very positive experiences at Cyclemax. Great prices on tires and service work done well, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend. A trustworthy professional shop.
I take a tire to be mounted on a rim I was waiting to hear something crazy but to my surprise they take the tire & rim mounted it not like those other shops in the area 3 days & I can bring it in. WOW ! ! CYCLEMAX great Service & fast with a good price very happy I have found new motorcycle shop 👍👍👍
Fantastic service and fair prices. Best place to go for motorcycle service or sales.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bought a 2006 Suzuki S40 Boulevard from them in good condition as well as some riding gear, which they were able to order on short notice. Very happy with our experience, we plan on stopping by again in the future. Also, they gave us a really good deal on the bike!
Nice find today, great place and a hell of an inventory in there. Decent folks, very knowledgable and priced quite reasonably. Definitely my new go to for bike needs!
Once you turn down the street they are on, turn into about the 4th driveway/you will see a small FedEx mailbox on the right- take the right into that driveway. Looked like a great shop to bring your bikes. I wasnt there for that though. I walked in to find many used bikes that look AMAZING. Wow 👏, congrats to the attention to detail. They have a lot of high quality bikes I was not expecting this at all.I found the bike I went to check out and Mike helped answer some questions and gave additional info that was useful. Then Don came to tell me more about the motorcycle. I liked the atmosphere. I can tell they sell quality motorcycles and I look forward to going back. They also have jackets, helmets, and a good selection of accesories.
Just recently bought a bike from these guys in Feb 2020. Their prices are beyond competitive and they have a good inventory of bikes. I feel that I stole the bike at the price I paid. On top of that, my friend and I ended up staying for two hours just hanging out with the owner and employees there. Great guys and I will 100% do business with them again.
Awesome customer service!!
Got my 2016 FZ-09 from them a few months ago and have gotten my 5000 mile mantince done with them. 100% a pleasant experience the entire time. Good rates and fast service. And the staff are super fun and knowledgeable! Best shop in the area IMO.
I didnt purchase a bike, but Chris in sales was super helpful and went above and beyond to help me out
Best Shop in the area! Always competitive pricing, and best selection!
Wonderful experience dealing with Don and Cyclemax. Don is equitable, passionate about riding, and went out of his way during the purchase of a motorcycle. Consider me a new loyal customer, thank you!
Great service. Excellent staff. Reasonable prices. Good work.
Really appreciate Matt and the rest of the Cyclemax team . Don gives great service and quality bikes, will be getting plenty more from you guys in the future .
I ordered a rear tire ... It was order to me immediately after I asked for it.. they had it 2 days later... They were patient enough to give me some time to few weeks before I could get there to put on due to my crazy schedule. They did not require a deposit or a payment on the tire to hold it for me. My word was good enough.. Great show and Excellent service! I waited for my bike and I was in-and-out in under 2 hours...
Surprised at the good reviews. Put simply, the owner doesnt honor his word. Had all kinds of problems with a bike I purchased last year including title and mechanical problems. Don, the owner, promised me two oil changes to compensate for the issues. When its time for the oil change he never replies. Bad for him because I was planning to spend $500 and bring a friend who is interested in purchasing a motorcycle. Don lost thousands of revenue so he could save $50.I want to support my local businesses but only if they provide a service that the community needs. With so many motorcycle shops in this area there is no need to patronize poorly run ones. Its too bad because I really wanted to like this place. Sadly, the owners shady attitude and poor ethics overwhelm any positive vibes I originally had.Update:Don has resorted to making fun of my last name. This shows what an infantile petty person he is.He doesnt check details and made a mistake while selling me a not actual miles title without disclosure, which is a serious crime/felony in many states. Not only that but he didnt change any of the fluids before, which he claims to do on his website. In addition, the bike left me stranded before he replaced the battery, which should have been checked in his inspection prior to delivery. The next week, after I went to the DMV and I told him about the title issue, the only thing he kept repeating was: You already titled the bike, right? He was hoping that the problem was over and done with. He then offered two free oil changes/chain maintenance when I said I didnt title it yet.Fast forward 9 months to mid May 2020. I call the shop and Don answers and we discuss an oil change and Puig windscreen for my bike. He says to send an email, which I promptly do. I dont receive a reply 72 hours later write a bad review. Don becomes hysterical and calls me a liar for posting a bad review.Ask yourself: Is this the kind of person you want to do business with?
I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Don and his staff, for ALWAYS taking care of ALLLLL my bike needs. I am a year round rider and Cycle max keeps me moving year round. I am VERY GRATEFULL for all the work past and present staff members have done and continue to do for me for the past 6-8 years. I have other shop options but I am not interested. Like they say if aint broke dont fix it. I look forward to many great years of service.
Purchased a Triumph Bonneville from Don and his team and had a great experience. Great service and selection. Highly recommend.
I really like this shop. I wish I lived closer. I havent had work done by them, but buy all accessories there. Bought a helmet and gloves from them last fall. I dont recall who helped me, but they stayed after hours to make sure the helmet fit was correct, I liked the color, and it was comfortable (or at least as comfortable as a new helmet can be). I am very happy with the purchase. The price was competitive with online discount retailers, plus I got to walk out of the store with it in my hands and didnt have to wait for delivery.I also ordered gloves from them, since their in store stock was low. I was split between two different pairs but ultimately decided to go with an older model. It was difficult to tell exactly what they would look and feel like with out seeing them and I was reassured that I didnt like them, I wouldnt have to pay for them and would receive store credit. The gloves arrived in a few days and I got a phone call letting me know as soon as they got in. I went and tried them on, but really wasnt wild about them. I asked if I could order the other gloves and they had no problem with it. A few days later the new gloves arrived. They were perfect, so I paid the difference (about $10) and was on my way. Very happy overall.
Very knowledgeable and professional. I am purchasing my Cam Am RT from CycleMax and I highly recommend them.
Great meeting the Don of CycleMax and as you see the future is here now...
Cycle Max is how I imagined a bike shop oughta be. I called about getting a minor maintenance/repair task done on a walk-in basis. Mack told me hed see what their schedule could accommodate and call me back. He did what he said hed do AND invited me to come right over. I was in and out in under an hour at a fair price charged...no fuss no muss.
Bought a Oset 12.5R over the phone with them since they are a dealer with positive reviews. Leaving another positive. Did business with Don. Great guy. I pulled some last minute Christmas BS and he put me on hold to double check that I would get it in time with the shipper. He didn’t just blurt out some sort of “yeah you’ll get it” he did the work like your hometown decent parts guy would. My bike was delivered in time too thankfully.I put my trust into them along with my card info and they delivered. Props to Don for replying to my concerned email as well. Package arrived on time, and packed protected. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you Cycle Max.
Quick, Easy and very helpful 💚
Wow! Amazing experience. Purchased a Ducati at the shop at an unbelievably low price. Paul and Don worked with me during the sale, and I was provided with the most excellent customer service experience I have received while purchasing a vehicle or large item. Will be a returning customer!
Bought a Suzuki Sports bike last Thanksgiving and had an awesome experience. Great staff!
This place is great. I looked all over the county for a new riding jacket and couldnt find one that fit right. Dude here named Don hooked me up with a sick Vanson jacket that literally fit perfectly. This is the best jacket ive ever had, and putting it on makes me grin. The other fellow there had brought out pretty much every manufacturers catalog and helped me look through it. Im pretty sure that they can get in any bike part that one would ever need. Real friendly folks. Stop in and check out what they have to offer.
Just spoke with them, they have 2 bikes in house. Wanted to buy a four stroke. Were unable to explain the 4 versions of Beta available.Just buy one online an hope its a good choice. No love lost, Im keeping my Wr450
Reason Im giving 1Star rating!1.Took my Bike there to have Clutch Replaced. They took 5days to do that when they said it would take 3days. When I got my Bike the Clutch was Still Slipping. Granted Im not a mechanic, I researched online and told them what the problem was. After the fix? I still had to take my Bike to Another shop so they could fix it.2. Now this season i took it back just to have Two new tires installed. Now I just got a New Paint job done and when I get my bike home to wipe off. And what do I find??? Scratches on my Fairing!!! Take it back there and No one has aAnswer, but it must have already been there. So those are my Reasons for the Low Rating!!!!
Got a set of tires for my bike -- purchased and installed -- tire prices were competitive with online shops but labor rates were by the book.Friendly and seemingly knowledgeable staff. The job was done well and fast. Had to take a star off for a bunch of oil smudges left on the swing arm.
Service department is excellent. Mac is very friendly and knowledgeable. They did a great job on my motorcycle and kept costs low. Next time my bike needs repairs, I plan on bringing it back to CycleMax.
Its def a hole in the wall! It took me about 5 mins to figure out where they were once my navi took me to their address - just so yall know; they are behind the buildings thats off of Cessna. The sign with an arrow is very small and can be easily missed. Once you get there parking is very limited. This was my first time going there so I dont know if there are times where they have more parking spaces or not.Its def a small shop but looked like they have plenty of bike inventory. I went in to get a replacement battery for my bike. Talked to Mack on the phone and met him in person. Him and his staff were very helpful and friendly. They even gave me a 10% discount for being a first time visitor... who does that anymore now a days?!?!I was referred by the HD store down the street, which was a bad move on their part but lucky for me that I found these guys. Ill be going to CycleMax for my motorcycle needs from now on.Very good first impression - lets see how servicing goes as I will be taking my bike in for maintenance soon.
Don is the owner and is a great guy, he is willing to take the time and help you with anything. he is really helpful with pricing too! He always gives everyone a solid and fair deal. I take my bike to this shop because I know they will give me a fair price and do really good work. I have been bringing my BMW F650 GS Dakar here for the last 3 years when they started out in a small shop before they moved to their current location. I do not look elsewhere because everyone charges way too much and do not value you as a customer like Don and his mechanics do!
Excellent experience! I rode in and was immediately greeted with great service by ppl who know what theyre doing. Don explained exactly what I needed and what I didnt.Honest, efficient, and cost effective. I found my new one-stop bike mechanic. Oh and unlike other places they actually keep a variety of accessories IN STOCK. Wow, go figure. 5 stars all around.
Took my bike in for break-in service. Staff were friendly and respectful. And prices were fair. Recommend to anyone needing service on their bike.
I bought a motorcycle and although the price was a little more than I wanted to pay (because taxes and registration fees are not negotiable), it still was an awesome deal and the bike is worth more than it cost me. This place has good prices and the service I received was excellent. They even showed me how to & helped me load the bike on the trailer.
The owner is very rude and has bad customer service! He talks down to you and over charges! I feel bad for the people who work there.
Poor customer service and rude. Took my carbs in for minor repair and finish cleaning. Was told it would be quick but it turned into over a week. wouldn’t have minded except for all the subsequent lying and stringing me along. When I called I was told it was almost ready and would be done shortly only to find out it hadn’t even been touched yet. Each subsequent call, I was given another excuse of why it was not ready yet. At one point, I was told the mechanic was on a test drive; this was during a thunderstorm! Another time I called and spoke with Don, the owner. He told me he was too busy to check on this because he was with a customer and I had to remind him that I too was a customer (emphasis on “was”). Then he said he would call right back but never did.Do yourself a favor and go to a real shop where you are valued as a customer.
Very friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful staff... Great pricing on their inventory... Bought a bike here recently and I am coming back for another very soon!
Stopped by to see if they could lower my new bike. They told me come back later in the week even though they were very busy with spring service. I called a couple days later and they told me they would work me in. Picked up the bike the next day. They paid a lot of attention to details and did a great job putting on the lowering kit and setting the front forks. The staff is pretty friendly also.
*PISSED OFF* I had mixed emotions about this place. I called to see if they still had a 1 year old bike for sale - they informed me that they didnt but could sell me a new one for the price of the old one. Great! I was in!I drive an hour to get there and the guy that I spoke with on the phone wasnt there, and they guy that was working wasnt sure how he got me that price. And I was neglected to be told that there is a charge for using a credit card (otherwise, I wouldve brought cash). I can get over the fact that the bike was a little more pricey than expected. What really PISSED ME OFF was the fact that I paid for the bike, I had it put in my name, since it is MY bike - and the technician who went over the bike with me only talked to my boyfriend that came with me. I am a woman who has been working on cars myself for the past 7 years. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A WOMAN. The bike is nice, but I wouldnt recommend them to even an acquaintance. Dont be sexist CycleMax..
Very happy with my purchase, it was worth the 4 hour trip there and back. The owner and his team were friendly and knowledgeable. Offered assistance and had great communication. Not to mention the great deal I got on my Yamaha R1 =). I also bought a new Shoei helmet, and was able to save more than if I bought on the internet. Thanks again, I will be looking to purchase my next bike through them, again.
Took my one year old Zero SR here for work, was offered a trade in on it immediately. They leaked brake fluid on the plastics and told me it was always like that, but the warranty would cover its repair. I was charged for motor commissioning (covered under warranty), annual maintenance that I didnt ask for, and troubleshooting for random shutdowns while riding (covered under warranty).I got the cost reduced after expressing my dissatisfaction, but it was clear, they are not honest. Go to Motorcycles of Dulles, theyre terrific, they hooked me up and have been a pleasure to work with.
My friend and I are working on restoring an older V-TWIN Honda motorcycle. We were stumped by the rough idling issues and so we brought it to CYCLEMAX to have them look at it. It took them three weeks for them to look at the bike and come up with some kind of diagnosis. Every time we called the shop, we were told that it was next in the queue or that something came up making it less of a priority. At one point, Clinton (service rep) said that we brought him a f****** jalopy to work on and so what did we expect? This same guy told me that he could tune the carbs in the parking lot in 5 minutes. This place doesnt know how to treat its customers. They also wanted an exorbitant amount of money to tune the carbs, replace some hoses, and the fuel petcock valve. I declined and when I came to pickup the bike, I used a larger box truck because that is all I had available to me. One of the female employees looks at the truck and says thats a big truck for such a little motorcycle in a sarcastic tone. Really? Is this how you win customers? There are several better motorcycle shops in the area. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
Love the crew here. Ive been to many shops in the DC metro area. These guys always do a good job, fast, efficient, and fairly priced. More expensive than some shops but Im ok with that because I love the staff here. Mac and Kyle always treat me and my bike with care. I recently moved to silver spring so im further away from them but im more than happy to go out of my way to visit these guys.
Good price for better service. I went in to change my tires at 5pm, I was out by 6pm. They performed a thorough check of all the systems and fixed everything for a very reasonable price.
Far and away the best motorcycle shop around. These guys are knowledgeable and passionate about riding. No BS. There isnt another shop like it in the region.
This is the second time dealing with CYCLEMAX and I will keep on returning for all my motorcycle needs. They love taking on work and always are more than helpful. Very knowledgeable people. There prices are very reasonable as well. Visited other shop to normally shop around but did nothing and waste time. They have the best prices!!!!! Look no where else. Thanks a lot guys ready for the 2014 season.
Real nice people. Dave took my bike in 20 minutes before closing. Replaced rear tire. wait wasnt too bad and offered a great price. Going to stick with them for all my bike needs!
My go to shop for parts, expertise, and advice. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
Exelent service, very quick also. Guys are always ready to help you but for real. I highly recommend them to all my friends, and will be back for anything around my bikes! Thank you guys for great service!
The workers are rudeBAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SHOP.IM NOT GOING BACK
Excellent bike shop! Brought my bike in for routine 8000 mile maintenance and told that the shop could do the work the next day. When I returned the next day, at first I was told they were too busy. But Don talked with me and said he could get one of the mechanics to do it so I left the bike. The work was done that same day and the total was about $250 less than what the Honda Cycle dealership was going to charge for the same service. Don explained everything and didn’t try to sell me unnecessary work.
Knowledgeable, capable, honest. These guys know what theyre doing, and do it right. Old bikes, new bikes, they do them all. Very fair prices, especially for tires.
Always a great local company to work with in my experience over the years, and I hear the same about them from others as well.
Very friendly, courteous, and unpretentious riders. Oh, and mechanics to! These guys are fair and realistic.
Purchased a helmet and some other riding gear here, Don was very helpful and knowledgeable, thanks!
Staff is friendly and transparent about their whereabouts. Don is a nice guy and willing to work with you.
During my most recent visit the owner met me personally and spoke with me about some past misunderstandings I had and it really meant a lot.Don makes the effort to see his customers satisfied and he takes it personally if the ball is dropped. Solid cat in my opinion.
Awesome place
Kyle fixed my bike with his bare hands. Its like watching Robert Duvall design his stock car in Days of Thunder. Kyle is brilliant.
Great customer service. Amazing mechanical work. Awesome shop pups. Low labor cost.
Don is very Professional and pleasant to do business with!
Meh
My wife and I drove 425 miles from Kure Beach, NC to visit this shop. We had talked to the owner Don, a few times and when we arrived, he greeted us like good customers. We spent the entire afternoon there. We ended up buying a 2007 BMW GT 1200. We bought a year warranty in this obviously pristime road bike. We bought 2 helmets and phone accessories. Don and Mike helped me get the bike insured through Progressive and they even loaded it into our trailer. We truly enjoyed meeting the amazingly cordial people at this motorcyle dealership and we were sad to leave. Thank you Don Fig... and Mike. Yall ROCK!!! Tony and Suzie from The Cape Fear.
Great place and highly recommend
Good prices, service, and reasonable selection. Had just what I needed.
Once again cycle max charged us a fee for there shop services and sent us home with a another death trap no bike or tire should come in to a so called professional shop and leave after paying hard earned money to never make it to your family so never trust this shop all riders know there life is worth more then our money!!!
I always have my motorcycles serviced by Heyser Cycles in Laurel, MD. They are phenomenal. Considering that I live closer to CycleMax and I need to buy a new leather jacket for winter anyway, I decided to give this place a try today. It was a very bad experience, unfortunately.I did not expect anyone to greet me, but one of the staff standing in the middle of the aisle talking to someone else stared at me as if I was from Mars. It was an awkward moment, so I smiled back and said Good morning to him. You know what? He turned his back on me. I had to leave the place promptly as a result. As to accessories, I am disappointed by their moderate collection.
Even though it was close to closing, the mechanics were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely go back.
Great team here with Don and crew
Don is awesome, he got me a great deal on a bike $250 less than other dealers I checked WITH a helmet! Buy your bike here.
Excellent sales and set-up. Don is the man to seeClean facility, experts in the field fast and friendly.
Awesome people and awesome bikes!!! Did I mention eBikes too?
Always extremely fair prices and helpful
Great selection and employees are some amazing people
Interesting mix of New and used bikes.
