The pictures dont match the the outside or inside. Looks like maybe some old pictures of a old location. The person in the humidor was taking cigars out of bundles and placing them on a shelf. Called them their house blend. I bought a couple at $7.95 each, they taste like a bundled cigar that should sell for $2-4 range. I think this place is mostly a tourist attraction and I cant imagine regular customers coming here. The man in the humidor, I think was the owner, not friendly at all. I tried to make conversation with him but he seemed bothered and certainly didnt come close to being polite. Only one other person in the store, and he was smoking a cigar at a conference table and staring at a laptop. The lounge area is cramped and doesnt look anything like the pictures. I told the person that I had recently moved to the island and got no response, not welcome glad you came in, nice to meet you or anything. I wont be back there are too many other places to spend money and time. A real disappointment.

Owner is rude with a bad business model. As an Ambassador of my local lounge who hosts Senators, Legislators, and business people, I know cigar etiquette and proper customer service and this place doesnt have it. Avoid this place and go to the other lounge in town (also reviewed). Also note that most of the photos and reviews are of the old location which no longer exists.

Went yesterday with my co worker and had a relaxed time.

Unfortunately, they were closed when I found them by accident looking for not there cigar shop. Appreciated the size of the building. It looked more like a converted bar, which Ive heard it still is. A buddy visited and stated it was just that with a standard selection of cigars, but nothing special. Look foward to visiting when theyre open.UPDATE (8/10/2018): revisited when open and the place is unique. Its a low lit old school bar that youd find in any coastal town-both manly & dark: possessing a rustic romantic charm. I was informed it was once the Voodoo Lounge. They have a large wooden patio that runs the length of the back of the bldg for outdoor events when its warmer. Again, its uniqueness is the deceptive size of the interior. The bar and humidor are fine sizes. Its the private lounge thats almost 2/3rd of the bldg, stretching like catacombs past a simple glass door to the right as you enter, complete with a poker room, a chess room and lounging smoking rooms. Yes, I said catacombs. The entrance which is up three simple stone steps past a single blackened glass door lead directly into the seating area for the bar, the bar was a sizable J shaped with a marble stardust counter w a metal strip, with dark wood above and below. Didnt get a chance to spy the bars inventory, but I assume their spirits matched their sticks. The humidor was to the far left and a lengthy private lounge to the immediate right.The humidor is a simple square blonde wood room, noticeably stocked w very specific lines of high end premium sticks. The price points puts them a bit more to the expensive side, but w a great full bar, ultra premium cigar brands & catacombs. You get a higher price tag. Worth it? I bought 4 Carlos Cabeza cigars. Which I took for their house blend, but only cared for the habano barber pole. So, $7.95 each, I dont think I fared well. But, I tend to judge places by the quality of their house blend (sadly, havent meet a house blend I like so far-HA was no different). Dont get me wrong their selection of premium sticks were selected with great care, I could tell, so dont let me mislead you on the quality of the rest of the cigar inventory. But, since theres only two cigar lounges in this historic Texas city they can charge a premium. Havana Alley Cigar lounge is such a grand curiosity with its old world charm, that I recommend it as a stop next time youre on the island for a drink & a fine smoke.

Great selection of cigars. Best on the island. Friendly staff and family owned. Been going there for many years. Big comfy leather chairs in lounge with all the channels on the huge flat screens. Like home .

Its not a cigar store so theres not a lot of choices. The ones they have are excellent. Its the same with the beers. The staff were friendly and helpful, the owner a very nice guy. Highly recommend this place to relax and taking a break from the rat race.

Great selection with knowledgeable staff

They have a very good selection of cigars in a well maintained, large walk in humidor. The staff is always friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Theres a nice lobby/bar area if you choose to hang out and smoke onsite. They also have a members bar but Ive never been into that area. Its conveniently located and parking is usually not an issue. But be careful, the curbs are really high and can damage your vehicle.

Great cigar venue! Jordan was super taking care of us, and the humidor gas a good selection, including local sticks for a good price. Cant wait to go back after it cools down to sit out on the be patio.

Stopped by while shopping in the area. The owner is a friendly gentleman, the cigar selection is good, prices are a little higher than normal but the atmosphere and fraternal feel to the place more than makes up for it. They had a cool Sunday event; beer, crawdads and a cigar for like $25-$30. My kind of place.

Fantastic cigar store, probably one of the best I have been to. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, helping customers make selections in both cigars and good pairings with beer and wine. I fully plan on returning in the future and will almost certainly buy the membership for the lounge.

Music was great. The staff was Super friendly and got lucky and met Carlos Carbeza himself. Super nice gentleman. His cigar bar and lounge has a great deck out back as well as several other rooms throughout. A huge selection of beer and wine and for me today was a great cup of coffee! Look forward to going back and trying one of the Carlos Carbeza cigars with mint!!

Very cozy & quaint spot. I didnt get the name of the lovely young lady that was working that day, but she was the best. Met the owner the day before I spent the afternoon there to wait out the rain. Will visit again on future trips to Galveston. Hopefully Ill get to meet my FB friend Jennifer on future visits as well.

Massive selection of cigars and smoking accessories. Wine and beer bar. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Its a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth finding. Cigar lockers are available. Not sure of the cost. Check it out!

Went there with a buddy to buy some cigars for his wedding and had an incredible experience. The owner took his time and helped us with a selection of different types of cigars for the different guests attending the wedding. Not only was he knowledgeable but very real and friendly, he didnt make us feel like we didnt know why we were doing. My buddy made a great selection for the wedding party and we even had a Liga Provada No. 9 at the shop. The wife of the owner took us on a tour of the property and the history of the building. This place is amazing and a really awesome spot to grab a cigar and enjoy it. We smoked our cigar on the patio and had a wonderful experience. This place is amazing.
