If youre a Gunpla lover to any model kit builder, they have a huge wide range of items. Locally, you cant get better stuff than here if you want to shop at a hobby store. And the prices are very very reasonable. My wallets gonna hate me... Lol

I honestly cant go to this store too much or Ill end up broke from buying all this fun stuff. Theres a lot of stuff piled on top of each other which makes it a little difficult to find things but they have a huge amount of inventory if youre into board games, table top games or TCGs. They unfortunately didnt carry what I was looking for; GOAT guns, which is a 1/16th scale of different weapon systems but also California isnt widely known for its adoration of firearms right now which makes sense.I really liked the fact that they had tailored game nights (I may hit up the mecha night on Thursday) and it looks like a consistent group of like-minded people.If I start up with some 40k again, I know Ill be shopping here.

I sell 3D-printed dice towers on Etsy and recenly started coming to Brookhurst Hobbies to round out my paint collection. This is a fun store with a great selection of paints from different manufacturers. Youll also find miniatures, from Reaper to Warhammer, RPG books, including a huge selection of DND5e rules and supplements, brushes, and more. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.My one issue is that, while they have tons of paints to choose from, some colors sell out fast, and it would be nice to see the stock replenished a bit faster, but overall I love heading over here, looking around, and buying what I need.

Tons of great games, knowledgeable staff thats friendly and lots of model kits on hand. Very few hobby shops around that are this good, definitely recommend this place.

Brookhurst Hobbies is packed to the ceiling with plastic models and gaming stuff. You could spend a good day in their shop and still not see everything They have everything you would need for assembling and painting plastic models and figurines. The owners also lease the store front next store which they use primarily for holding games. If you are into plastic models or are into gaming you owe it to yourself to stop into their shop.

This place is great for any hobbyist, massive selection, nice employees, hard to find supplies that you’d normally have to order online. Also if you want you can order online and pick-up in store! I highly recommend this place for military, warhammer, diorama, books/mags and more! I come here every weekend to get a little something.. can’t wait for covid to end so they can open up there gaming building next door! I’m trying to play tabletop ASAP!

Brookhurst Hobbies is an amazing hobby store! They are my go to source for 15 mm miniatures. I used to go here as a kid almost 25 years ago until my family moved away. But during this time, I could get my fix by online / mail ordering. BH had really good shipping rates. I finally moved back and get to go in person!

I go to Brookhurst Hobbies for board games, but they have a lot of other things too (such as models, paints, terrain, dice, those little plastic famous character figurines with the big heads, etc).Brookhurst Hobbies has a great selection of more complex, interesting board games that you cant get at Targeto or Walmartian. [Im only reviewing the board game section]Absolutely AMAZING. So many extra board games/card games that you can not find at target or Walmart. There are a decent amount of nerdy RPG board games which is a bummer. However, the rest of the board games are very unique (but also expensive).

Came here to buy my friend a present. The customer service was great. Nice people introduced me to their shop properly and also told me about contests and even days where i think you could build with others. They have extremely cool model kits on display. But, the customer service, 11/10. Variety of kits, 11/10. Looked for an MG Hyaku Shiki one day and they told me they’d place an order for it months ago but it never came, they kindly asked if I’d like to receive a notification and i happily accepted. The people are really nice there I wish sometime I could work here when I’m the appropriate age. Hopefully, once quarantine ends, the building club (Idk if its called that) will be opened. [I’m not actually sure if its closed too but I believe it is because we are in quarantine]

I came into the store and saw a model I wanted I decided to wait, when I got back home I called from my house in a different state and ordered it over the phone and got it in less than a week.

This is one of the last great hobby shops. The staff is knowledgeable. Their products are up to date and plentiful. As to comments referring to the facility as being dated, I don’t see it that way, but even if it were, so what, if you walk out satisfied. Nothing wrong with a nostalgic atmosphere. I only wish I lived closer and could visit more often.

Been shopping here for almost 2 decades. I Love this place, not a lot of old school local gaming stores left. I most recently came here for an emergency dice purchase when I couldnt round up enough to try out the game Fiasco. They saved our Saturday night.

Lots of build it yourself models. Cars, planes, multiple different build it yourself figurines. I modify die cast cars and trucks and needed chrome paint and a couple other paint. They had all different colors and types based on the application and different types of modeling adhesives. I will be using them from now on. Sorry hobby lobby ive changed hobby stores 😂

I went to pick up finishing supplies and ended finding two kits to build as well. Great staff, really knows models and gaming. Highly recommended to anyone who builds models.

Im torn on this store. Their main location is a bit crowded and dated. It boarders on being a museum of gaming and hobby items. Some people make like that though, especially when looking for rare items. They also have a deep selection of models. Odd though as it appears they dont have a point of sale system, so Id imagine doing refunds and such could be a bit odd here.Now, their playspace thats located next door it GREAT. Clean, large, and awesome seating. Great space for card gamers. Lots of tables and terrain for miniatures players. Good spot worth checking out.The main shopping area could use some work, but not enough of a reason to avoid this spot. If youre into games and hobbies, check it out.

Where to start... such an amazing store. Not only are the staff knowledgeable of many of the hundreds of games/models offered at Brook Hurst hobbies but they are nice and provide excellent customer service as well. The room next door is designed for game play! You just need to show up on the right day and there are people willing to play and have a good time. Overall an amazing store.

Theres a great selection of board games, MTG cards, pen and paper, and general tabletop games. The store is by far the best local option for miniatures gaming and war gaming with every kind of paint and tool you could need to master that hobby. The store is very large but I never have a problem finding anything and the staff is very helpful as well.

Nice and close place to visit. Nice to come here for nice games. Some magic cards to get and play. There are even tables to duel and play during hours. Art supplies and board games are sold.

Ive been a wargamer for more than 30 years and this place is the closest you can get to Valhalla. The staff is great and will help you find the game or miniatures you need. Love their open gaming space.

I am really disappointed in their customer service. I called to ask if they had any Transformers cards at all and he said they had none very quickly. And when I asked him to check, he said sure they have a few wave one packs, I asked him to see if he had a metroplex deck, he said he would check, then hung up after a couple seconds! The guy sounded like he just wanted to get off the phone with me as quickly as possible and not provide any kind of customer service. Customer service is key to running a business! Learn that!

Bought a couple model cars their prices are better than most and man do they have a selection of plastic model kits!

Staff is super helpful! They carry D&D products, MTG, warhammer, board games, war games, model kits, and tons more stuff! The shop can look a little chaotic especially when they get new shipments of things, but overall its organized if you know where to look. They stock tons of kickstarter and limited products.

The organization of this place can get a little out of hand after people have gone through it, but thats the thing, they have TONS of stuff to go through. Board games, card games, dice--you name it. If you want to feel it out, this is the place. They also have a gaming area next door where you can try popular games, and play your own as well. There is a minimal fee for playing the games there, but if you plan on investing in a game thats $40+ Its pretty cool.
