Half of the sodas are always empty for fountain drinks......atleast one gas pump is always broke..... 9 out 10 times your recite does not print and you have to go inside.....they never put fresh hot food they wait till old food is sold before they put new cooked hot food....there are always people begging for change outside...... most workers talk to each other ignore customers before they help them lol is there a negative star ? I have been here ten times in one year and this is the experience 😆 🤣

This place is ridiculous! And I’ve called to speak with the manager Dominique several times and no response. She is allowing her store to be ran any way and I’ve noticed the disrespect for her employees. They talk down on workers with disabilities. This place needs new and better management.

Unless you want subway I wouldnt waste my time coming here. Out of stock on... any coffee creamer or anything else youd add to your coffee along with most of their selves are out of stock. Now the employees them selves are rude, act like you are a burden to ring out and snotty when you ask them for anything at all. Again dont waste your time with this place.

Came here 10/16 to get gas, let me tell you, the women working the morning shift (10:50am) are EXTREMELY RUDE! I will never spend another dime in there when there is a Goasis gas station across the street.

The place is ok. Not that big inside I like the fact that it has a Subway inside got to be careful in the shower and get my towels but the service is really good cant complain with that Im parking I like its nice structured has there truck wash which is a super plus and next to it is a TA in case you need to fix your truck also he also got some gas pumps and if you want to fix your whales including your good cat scale

Unlike any other gas station in the area this is also a convenience store. Bathroom, 8 showers, laundry system, cars and truck gas stop as well as other household items and convenient nick-nacks. Coffee and other hot/cold beverages as well as sandwiches from the store and franchise which is Subway. An array of State souvenirs. Lottery and video poker system for entertainment and illegal lot lizards on the truckers driving side for your nightlife entertainment if you know what I mean. All optional. I enjoy the friendly faces. Staff is accommodating, coffee is always fresh. They have the most amazing wings. It is a truck stop and interstate travel stop. A bit pricey so grab a rewards card if your going to visit frequently.

Place has poor truck entrance many trucks miss entrance daily. I have complained to head quarters they do nothing to address the Issue.Truckers gps takes them to corner 25th and burr where truck stop is but entrance is on totally different street and area. This pilot truly does not accommodate there customers with easy entrance. I have complained for several years and daily truckers miss entrance and wonder into residential neighborhood destroying yards, streets mail boxes etc getting turned around to get back on track..

Very difficult to maneuver in and out of. If youre in large RV or pulling any kind of trailer, this place is horrible to get gas at. The islands are set up in a crazy kind of way making it impossible for you to get to a pump unless its on the very end.

Good staff, clean place, but people walking around the parking lot begging for money. Also, their food selection in the hot case is only fried chicken products, mac and cheese, burgers, pizza. No mashed potatoes, roast chicken, meatloaf, roast beef etc.

Good selection of drinks and snacks! Friendly cashiers! Came through around lunch time and bathrooms were pretty gross. Would hope the do more spot checks on this.

Average pilot truck stop. Shower was not as clean as youd like it to be. The best thing about this one was the night counter person. She was great. Super friendly and helpful and a great attitude even though she was in there by herself at the time.

Shower was very clean, and the Sista that was on duty @ subway 4/1/21 4pm is an absolute Gem of a woman, I wish I had gotten her name❤❤ with her high pitched voice self😊😊

I absolutely love this place. I go at least 3 times a week. I used to go everyday when I lived around the corner from them. The entire staff is always friendly and helpful. Theyre like my extended little family. I love them!!

Nice friendly Station with Great Security

I was told that this Pilot was in a shady part of town. I did not have any problems. There is a TA across the street and several eateries around the store. I grabbed a shower and slept well through the night undisturbed. Not a bad place. Ill be back.

This is a very safe place to stop for gas and a quick bite.They have a security Guard on duty at all times.The coffee is always good.They are always busy and the service is always good.

Smaller truck stop but its clean and the people are friendly. There is a shop and truck wash on site. Parking lot is kind of tight but manageable. Took one star off because of the fuel pumps, multiple were in need of repair and the islands could use a good power washing

The fuel islands and store are not bad. But the fact that they have lot lizards roaming the parking lot and random crazy people that will walk up to you while you fueling asking for money is a little unsettling. They definitely need some kind of roaming security at this pilot

This is a clean travel center that has a Subway within. They have a hot food counter with fresh pizza, chicken and other items to choose from. They have a fresh cinnamon roll shop on location. This is one of thew best travel centers in the Chicago/NWI area. Your wont be disappointed, however travel centers area more expensive just like convenience stores on items. If youre traveling I-80/94/6 IRA right off the interstate on Burr.

I realized I left my phone in the store while I was 200 miles away. I called them and they found it for me after a quick search. The lady cashier was so nice over the phone. She shipped it next day in the morning. The store and washroom were clean as well. And the gas was reasonably priced.

Zero stars will be sufficient enough, but that isnt an option. Im a part owner of a trucking company. I hired a new assistant (NOT A DRIVER) An EFS check was issued to him to cash as they were before and I have signed receipts to prove it. Hes a young Black man 19 years of age and he was told he was too young to cash an EFS check, so he proceeded to give me a call due to confusion because he has cashed before at this location. I called and spoke to the manager and was told that the policy was changed and he said you have to be 21 as of January 2020. I told him he cashed 4 times just recently, so I called and spoke to a manager at the pilot in Highland IN that told me there are no age requirements, and she also checked the policy for me. The next excuse after I called back was he had a state I.D and no driver license so he couldnt cash it I rebuttal and said he only has a driver license, and a state ID can be used also, then I was told his name dont match the reference number which is weird because he never gave them the reference number only the I.D was requested. I proceeded to tell him there is no name attached to these transactions, I have owned my trucking company since 2015. I advised him that i would be reaching out to cooperate and he said he would too, to see what the policy is. My assistant described him, I now know exactly who he is and he knows the policy because he has been the manager there for quite some time now. At the end of the day the young black man was discriminated against. Im currently awaiting on the General Manager from that location to contact me now and we will possibly be filing a discrimination law suit. Thank you

This is a full service truck stop. There is a Subway store inside along with Cinnabon products. Pilots always have a huge selection of drinks. There are many choices when it comes to coffees and bottled drinks. Pilot also serves their own food too. There are showers if you need to clean up.

No entrance signs for trucks. Terrible, had to turn around in a residential area.

This has to be the worst pilot ever! If your in a semi do not go there to get gas it was a madhouse and so crowded u could barely move your truck to get to the pumps. There was a truck broke down in a gas lane. It had been there for over an hour and trucks were pulling in behind it cause you couldnt tell. Other truckers were telling people after they pulled into the lane. when I went in and said something to the manager stocking shelves she was extremely rude and seemed to not care. Truckers make there loving by the mile the more time they have to waste in these stations is more money they lose! They could have at least put cones or taped it off to let the truckers know not to pull up to that lane. Also they already had two pumps down that couldnt be used. We were there on 1-31-19 around 1-2pm. I would not suggest this pilot to anyone!!!!

I went through some reviews which were really disappointing me. But once I went there I did not find any bad or ugly. Found this place is safe and good, I had not wait for a looong to pay at the counter. The stuffs were good and friendly. No complains to far.

The biggest concern I have for not only Pilot but all Truck stops is that they are just Too Expensive considering the Volume of Trucks that frequent them. They are taking away benefits little by little, for instance they no longer give reward points for buying food, only fuel is rewarded. The food is Expensive, and considering that Billionaires own the massive amount of stops that are located throughout the USA youd figure they would take care of the Professional Drivers and use the difference as a tax write off but instead they Hoard the money like the Gluttons they are. They wouldnt spend the money they have in 3 lifetimes yet Enough is Not Part Of Their Vocabulary. To sum it up a General in WWII replied to his Russian counterpart after receiving a letter telling the American General to give up with a single word reply...NUTS!!!

Rude crew member & Management team.While standing in 1 long line & 2 managers are at the register handling transactions and another pilot crew member opens up a new register and politely request for the next customer in line to step forward and CLEARLY the guy in front of me is next in line so I informed him that he was next..I complained out loud immediately following after because NOW since you have ANOTHER line open, the crew member allows customers who just walk up vs waiting in line with others awaiting to be served. I commented out loud about the lack of courtesy and respect for those customers who were awaiting in the ORIGINAL long line and that the mere fact that the management team seemed unconcern.I pre-pay for my fuel KNOWING the issue is PROBLEMATIC and disclosed this matter with one of the 2 managers. Once I was done paying for my fuel and after pumping, I had to return into the store for an offset (change back)from my prepay. I notice that the SAME process continued. I patiently awaited while allowing the next customer to proceed before me since they were awaiting in ANOTHER line. The crew member who handled my offset was SNOBISH & RUDE because apparently she did NOT APPRECIATE my concerns that I had verbalized earlier and with other customers who were awaiting. I then inquired about why she had a snotty ATTITUDE and what occurs thereafter is ALARMING as she continued to ARGUE with a PAYING & UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!! Now both managers who had PREVIOUSLY IGNORED the ISSUE in the 1st place step in .One attempts to quiet and redirect this crew member from public UNPROFESSIONAL behavior, the other manager walks me out of the front door now stating that I could leave from their BUSINESS?? After her crew member publicly displays her ARGUMENTATIVE COMMENTS ..I COMPLAINED..was IGNORED & NOW IM to BLAME???TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & SATISFACTION (NOT) AT ITS BESTI DONT PLAN ON PATRONIZING THIS PARTICULAR ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!!!!!

The Woman behind the register did not speak to me except to tell me my total because she was singing R&B the entire time. If you do not want to interact with customers then do not choose to work in customer service.

Ive been traveling for 25 years and I have always used Pilot travel centers for a safe and reliable place to stop. Ive been a single mom of 4 and traveled alone with children or by myself and have always been safe at your centers to the point where I have had to pull up to the front doors and lock myself in mecar to sleep so I could rest and continue my trip safely! Thank you for your service !

Busy, busy, busy. You’d be lucky to get in here and fuel fast. Always a wait at the pumps. There is a lot of parking available during the day, but you need to get here early, because they tend to fill up fast. It’s also a pretty sketchy area. But that’s Gary for you.

Its always good to have a travel center on your route in which youre going there are easy to get in easy to get out spacious and then you can do a little shopping for little knick-knacks thats usually with the truckers due to bring home to their wives or their multi girlfriends or to coax a young teenager into their truck to kill them.

Very little room to maneuver, in and out. In fact the whole exit is bumped up. Not much parking either but the employee I dealt with knew her job ( I was cashing a Comcheck) and seemed happy to do it.

I always go for the freshly baked caramel cinnamon bun. MMMM delicious. Heavy rain kept me sitting in my car til it slowed dwn. But my overall experience, has always been very pleasant.

Shower was very clean. Was greeted when I came through the door and the gentleman cleaning showers said to have a nice day. Great place. The subway here was also good and staffed with friendly people.

Its a pretty big gas station with a lot of convenience store items. A section of Indiana themed items. I feel pretty safe going here alone in the daytime.

Usually pretty quick to get in and out. Can be real busy during warmer weather. The only downside is that the street entrance for truckers has gigantic tire swallowing holes which seems persistent even after not being here for 3 years.

It is a fuel stop with about 10 stations. Usually busy during the day. I fuel at this station between 12am to 4am. Its fast and with their app I always get a free dri k or something.

Go across the street to the TA if youre going to park here, couldnt know why. Only decent thing here is the catfish place on the corner. But you can walk from the TA. Well for a Sunday morning. The person in charge of coffee wasnt keeping it stocked. I got there about 8am. Fueled, used the bathroom, went to get coffee and three of the four or five of them were empty. I was not a happy camper. I tracked the person down who makes coffee and they got on it. But precious time on my part wasted waiting there for the coffee to brew. And yes I agree, they do need to lower their prices at cinnabon for the amount you get you pay a high price.

Love their coffee machines. Grinds the beans while you wait.

Well, it is in Gary, so dont get your hopes up too high. But despite the location, it is pretty clean, has decent parking, and they seem to have a concern with security in the lot.

I bought a chocolate milk and a Hostess product, the experience was mindblowing, life altering and simply totally epic. Cant wait to repeat this experience over and over again.

I felt very safe with security following me to the bathroom. Pretty sure he was just bored but I was entertained by his presence. I will be back.

I asked the manager what’s the store number for the Gary, IN pilot location it’s store #271. Why aren’t there any black managers? The way you treat your black staff is truly unfair, and it honestly shows. You leave the blacks single staffed at subway and you can’t lie because it’s the same damn thing every time I fuel at pilot. I feel so bad for the young ladies working them like dogs. I sure hope that at least the pay is good for these types of actions. Subway is so bad, spoiled, never any bread Ir a manager over there always one young lady working alone. I hope you look into why your GM is treating your ladies so unfairly. Truck drivers are not ones to really complain but I see the struggle in this establishment. Disgusting

Pilot travel had everything we needed from gas to a good place to stop, eat, rest,or get gas. It even serves trucks which makes it even more accessible for poeple having different needs due to their vehicles.
