Excellent sushi. They were able to accommodate gluten free needs. The server was awesome. This is definitely somewhere to stop while in Gastonia.

We were able to call in a reservation on Valentines day weekend. When we arrived the host told us they were running behind and it would be another ten minutes. Our server, Ashlee, was wonderful. The kitchen was behind with orders but we didnt care. Ashley kept us informed throughout the night and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was not as good as expected with the price point. The sushi we got as an appetizer was the best part.

Only reason i gave a 2 is because the bartender(Shane) was very good. ordered food at 6:40…. 8:00 and still no food. 3 other tables served after we ordered. some food was served yet half our party got Nothing !!WEAK RESPONSE from management….comped a couple drinks. 🤪

I love going to this place. Very relaxing atmosphere. Almost always great food. For instance, the last time I went the steak was a little more done than medium, but with the sauce it was still very tasty. And the sides were absolutely amazing. Very attentive and friendly staff. The prices are expensive, so its not an all the time thing, but it is worth it for a treat.

Last minute wedding reception they did an amazing job accommodating us! Good food, good drinks and amazing service rounded out this pretty venue where little decorations were needed. We were very happy and recommend then for anyone looking to host a small to medium event.

The bison filet mignon was AMAZING! The entire dish was great from the asparagus to the mushroom & spinach risotto. My husband and I have always had excellent service and food every time we have gone here. Highly recommend!

Just know if you don’t like the food and tell them to just send it back and take it off the bill, they have a “policy” that if you take literally two bites of the food, they’re still going to charge you for it. Ordered a butterfly roll and ate a piece, my friend took a piece, and decided we both didn’t like it, and told her that it just wasnt for me and i’d like it taken off the bill. She came back and said the manager can’t take something off the bill if we ate half of it. Apparently they can’t do math correctly because 2 pieces out of an 8 piece roll is not half. My friend also ordered a TURKEY panini and it didnt even come with the turkey. Absolutely horrible experience and I wouldn’t eat here again if it was free.

The service was exceptional. I had the shrimp scampi which was quite flavorful and my husband had a chicken dish which good but could have been a bit more flavorful. The flavor was in the skin. We like beer and were able to sample a few and both found something we like. We are not near by will be back.

Just okay, my husband ordered sushi I got a burger since I’m pregnant. Ordered it well came very rare and somewhat cold. My sister was even grossed out by the burger pink and cold not cooked. I informed the waitress who was like like oh sorry want us to cook it more. At this point everyone was done so I declined. Still got charged. I wouldn’t recommend this place, we won’t be back.

Although the shushi was great it wasnt my favorite..I tried it fried..7/10 just my personal preference to have 100% raw

The Lotus team made our rehearsal dinner so special with their catering! Everyone raved about the food and were playfully fighting over who got to take which leftovers home. We cannot recommend Lotus enough to anyone dining in the area!

My experience at this place was horrible I went in with my husband on Valentine’s Day we got a reservation for 8:30. We got a regular table so we asked for a booth and we got that after we got our drinks and bread ( 20mins after ) finally we sat in the booth. We ordered our food after 10 more mins. OUR FOOD TOOK 30-40mins to get to our table. Finally we got it and my lobster was HALF COOKED. HALF COOKED because I even tried a little piece of it, posted a picture of it as well and you can see on the left tail how the meet is raw still. Went to one of the workers because my server was no where to be found. He asked to bring the general manager in after he saw that IT WAS RAW. I told him there was no need because I completely understood it was busy or whatever things happen so I gave them a chance to just cook it longer/the right way. One tail was back to me first after my husband was done eating then I received the rest of my food. Any who didn’t even finish it because I started feeling sick. We left and as I was waiting for my husband to get the car I ran outside and threw up all my food... $100 DOWN THE DRAIN... not just that but it felt horrible to throw up everything in my stomach . My plate was $60 just mine. Overall i had to keep getting up for service, my food was terrible, and I threw it all up god knows how they cooked that. I love lobster and always eat it, never had happened before. Again I completely understand things happen and they could’ve been busy but it was a overall terrible experience in every way.

Great food, great service. We showed up with a large group and the staff were wonderful with us. And our server was absolutely amazing.

Note: I know it is the weekend of Valentines Day.-Reservations for 2 were at 7 pm and we werent seated until after 7:15 pm. ; they were very busy.-Our water glasses (tumblers) were less fancy (stemed glassware) then the people around us... It didnt matter to me but mattered for the experience to my husband.-Both times I have been here, the food has come out slow.-The Edemama came out very salty.-The Pot stickers came out cold. They brought more and they were still only luke warm.-The Salsa Sushi Roll was too big to eat in one bite and fell apart as it was picked up... and the soy sauce came in packets instead of a jar? Is that because of COVID-19?🤔-Napkins and utensils were not brought out until we asked for them.-My husbands Creole Pasta came without pasta... Turns out they served him someone elses order of Shrimp and Grits.-The Fried Green Tomatoes were battered before fried (not something Im used to) and had no flavor.-My husbands hazelnut cake came out with the tip missing and frozen- In the end, we werent offered any compensation until we were down the stairs and walking out the door from the manager ( gave us a $20 gift card) who was not aware of anything until after we paid a more than $85 bill.

DELICIOUS food. Staff is great. Server was knowledgeable and offered great suggestions on food and drinks. Favorite place to eat in the area, we come here every chance we get. Try the weekly specials or the sushi rolls. Cant go wrong.*Update*Surf and turf is excellent. Giant shrimp, great cut of steak. House special sushi roll and heba de mango are also excellent. The beer list is extensive. A lot of hard to find and local beers.

Best sushi in Gaston county, hands down. The rest of the menu is decent, but if you want sushi in Gastonia, this is your place. We usually carry out, and the order is always packaged up nicely, and the ordering is easy and efficient. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Parking can be a bit tedious at times given some of the other restaurants and grocery store next door. Highly recommended.

Had a great time for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Little area upstairs was perfect and food was excellent!

Overall good experience. My boyfriend and I went during lunchtime, when the restaurant was quiet. It was spectacular! Our server was great, constantly checking on us and making sure our needs were attended to.The only bad thing about the experience was the food; it was plated beautifully, but didnt taste particularly great nor bad. I hope to come back to order from the dinner menu and see how that food compares!

Just showed up at 125 was told they stopped serving at 2 and wouldn’t be able to serve us. No wonder everyone was at Hickory Tavern. There were only two groups at tables in the whole place.

This was very nice! I was looking for a nice, soft atmosphere for our anniversary and Lotus came up in the search. They have vegan options for the wife and on the main menu as well. Almost forgot the sushi vegan options. Sushi was Amazing and the main course were great as well. Seating was superb, we were in a small cozy corner which was also very complimentary to our evening. Staff...top of the line. Each person we encountered was helpful and trained well in hospitality. I believe our waitress was named Ashley....unbelievable! Make the quick drive and enjoy. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I came here for dinner. Service was great. The sushi was amazing. I would not recommend the burgers or steak. The burger buns are harder then the basket of bread they serve.

We found this gem through Google while searching for a restaurant near Bessemer City. Very cute place and the food did not disappoint. I had the salt and pepper shrimp for an appetizer. Delicious! Strawberry salad was good too. Strawberries could have been a bit riper. Delicious fresh bread served before the meal. Their menu had lots of great choices. If youre in the area, give it a try.

Our dinner was so good that I’m writing this review on our car ride home— I couldn’t wait! This is some of the best food we’ve ever had. Lotus sushi packed with tuna, bison filet and salmon cooked perfectly with modern fusion! My boyfriend and I are both foodies and haven’t found any restaurants in the surrounding area (Charlotte, Asheville) that compare. Our server, Olivia, was phenomenal— personable, attentive, with great recommendations. We’re already making plans to return.

Delicious sushi, thats what my husband and I go there for. Best sushi around and it is reasonably priced. I went with my mom for lunch once and tried her butternut squash soup. It was divine. Excellent staff, its never crowded for lunch through the week. Ive never had a bad experience here and recommend a visit if you havent tried it!

Our party had a great experience. Brought a friend who is accustomed to the fancy new dining experiences on South End Charlotte and they were very impressed with the atmosphere and food quality. Sushi was all excellent and so were all appetizers and entrees. If you’re in Gastonia it’s well worth the drive a little away from the main shopping centers.

Presentation is great and you definitely pay for it! Food wasnt bad. The delicious jumbo crab cakes are NOT at all jumbo and the quantity of big eye tuna is not proportionate to the price. Shrimp and grits were great and service could have been a little better...I.e. asking how everything was. May give it another try, but will be selective about the time and items ordered.

My husband and I visited Lotus for the first time for brunch today. I ordered the Creme Brûlée French toast and he ordered Neptune’s Benedict. We waited over 30 minutes for food and were only 2 out of maybe 10 people in the whole restaurant. Once we received our food the waitress asked me if I would like syrup and replied shockingly with a yes and that’s when she informed me they were almost out and would have to walk over to Publix to get some more. On top of that, the menu stated that my french toast would be served with strawberries but it was topped with cantaloupe, honey dew, and grapes which was the fruit cup that came with my husbands dish. His breakfast potatoes were so cold that he said he could tell they were frozen before. The waitress did not seem to care that we both hardly ate our food and the manager did not come to our table as she did with the other guest. I will absolutely not return to Lotus! If they cannot handle Saturday morning brunch with 10 guests I cannot imagine a busy dinner time rush.

Great restaurant. Loved the romantic atmosphere. The food was very good. I had the salmon. It had lots of flavor. My girlfriend had filet mignon. It was tender and had lots of flavor too. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is the worst food Ive ever had & I do a lot of traveling. The ambience & waiters were nice but the taste & appearance of the food were awful.1. A glass of wine over $10?2. Small, dry crab cakes with tons of breading, terrible taste, served with lettuce for $24!! Crab cakes on the east coast should be superb, large & flavorful for that price. The food is overpriced.3. The alfredo pasta was runny & bland4. The hamburgers were dry as sand & fried black as coal.5. The bar didnt have the ingredients for mixed drinks. Mostly local beers with no regular ones.6. The childrens menu is basically for adults. What child eats a whole pizza? One childs food came out when everybody was finished. One child didnt even like the taste of the chicken tenders so we had to stop & get her some food.Our party spent hundreds of $$$ at this place. It took quite a while to be served too. Id never eat there again.

Lotus has great soups and salads and I always enjoy the daily seafood specials. The service people are great! Never disappointed here!

I just moved to Gastonia and was looking for a great place to bring the Luv of my life, my wife and I came across Lotus by accident. The best accident in a long time the food was amazing, and it was not perfect but Oh my god the grits where all that and more. Let me be very clear about the food, the steak was awesome but my wife likes well done dont ask she may be alien. Had to be cooked just a little more, flavor remarkable. Customer service was top notch, best steak and grits in town and the atmosphere was amazing. Lotus is on the list of our best restaurants. Thank you for the amazing customer service and getting my wife steak cook to her liking.

I think this is one of the best kept secrets in Gastonia. The food is FABULOUS! The service is wonderful. I will just say the pricing is a little steep... However, we will be back; we will just have to budget! :)

The food is usually very good here! I would be surprised if you had a bad meal from here. The service can be slow, especially at lunch when most of us are in a rush. I gave it 4/5 because the food is good and different from the usual.

Went to Lotus for a dinner party...was less than impressed. We were there around 2hrs, a couple of guests with the dinner party didnt receive their food until others were paying.2 people in our dinner party were charged twice for their meals and if youve been to Lotus you know its not a cheap Applebees price.Wont be going back.

I had lunch at Lotus today to celebrate a dear friends birthday. We had a wonderful time visiting and enjoying the food and wine, but our server left a lot to be desired. He seemed to be unhappy with us for whatever reason and really didnt return to check on us or bring water when we asked. I thought he was very rude.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life I was with my sister for her birthday and as we were sitting at the table eating there was a family beside us with little children running on the table Barefoot and in Pampers management was aware of the problem and no one did anything finally manager came up and offered me a free glass of wine mind you My Party of Five spent well over $200 no apology from management or anything I just have to wonder being a black man if I was a white man would this have mattered

Very nice location for a fun evening or a special dinner. There is a separate upstairs space to be rented privately which was really nice for a low-key rehersal dinner.

Strangely awesome atmosphere and place to eat...as in you dont expect it in Gastonia. Owner took care of our large party all night and made great recommendations on the menu.

Ordered over the phone, the person taking our order did not seem to have clue about what I was ordering. Didn’t tell me how long it would be until I could come pick it up, and also didn’t tell me anything about curbside. Food is pricey here, but worth it. So it seems like they should have the right people handling the phones.

Late review. Went here for New Years to eat dinner. Was told twice in the middle of our dinner that we’d have to hurry up or pay an additional $20 fee to stay and watch the band. Then she went to every other table said the same thing. Needless to say we will not going back there again.
