Love this store!! I have always loved HEB and the people who work there. The associates are always so friendly and knowledgeable about their individual departments as well as the rest of the store. I know that when I come here, if Im asking about any department, any associate can answer on where I can find a particular product. I also love the fact that no matter where I am in Texas, I can get most of the products I am used to purchasing in my hometown HEB, which is further south in Texas...lol.

This HEB is a small yet they have a lot of great products. The staff is very knowledgeable and the managers are helpful not only did I come to work here but I also shop after working. Some of the items are sold out or out of stock but have similar items available to purchase. I would of gave them 5 🌟 but some of the employees are rude and the restrooms need more attention. Other than that great HEB to shop at.

Doesnt have anything to do with them but a car sidestepped me beside it and police sit there alot so I avoid it now lol.

Always very helpful and cheerful staff.The prices are much lower in comparison to the local walmart. The meat is fresh cut in the back of the store and fairly priced.Could be a little more on top of the cleaning in the produce section but all in all a clean environment to shop.

I believe that it may be th Only grocery store in Gatesville aside from Wal-Mutt!

Shop there every Sunday. Prices are decent and the employees are polite. Overall a good place to shop for groceries.

I wish they were a little bigger store. Im use to living in Austin, which are huge stores with lots of items. But so far they have been nice. I do wish the other customers would wear their masks!!! They have signs up but lots of people dont care about themselves or anybody else and they dont wear a mask. WEAR YOUR MASKS PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Why does all HEB smell like dead rats. Kerrville was the worst of all of them. Back in the 70s and 80s people would go into the HEB in Kerrville and come out gagging.One here in Gatesville is the same way..

No sushi. No fresh tortillas. Courteous service from the employees redeem the place.

Its a great store as far as customer service but the store definitely needs an update and a better selection of items.

They have been great through this winter apocalypse here. Theyre doing the best they can to keep up with demand. Everyone is out in the cold and trying to stock shelves. The work theyre all putting in is not going unnoticed.

I got in & out pretty fast for holiday food shopping. People are nice & offer help frequently. Piece of cake...or pie, they usually have something fresh baked & ready to save your(almost) empty handed arrival for any event you go to. Happy Holidays (politically correct) Lol

Without a doubt, whether in large city or small town, HEB always has a large variety of foods with comparable prices for all. This HEB in Gatesville is no exception. Excellent grocery store chain with wonderful wines, beers.

This HEB has a pretty good selection for its size. You can find a decent variety of healthy products and the customer service is always good. If theres anything you cant find, they are always willing to get it for you.

I was in and out very quickly. The cashier was friendly and even shared a joke with me. Even the gentleman behind me was enjoying in the conversation lol but as far as staff they were helpful in finding things and quick to ring me up so I could be in my way.

HEB is a great place to shop. They always have a variety of food and household items at a great price and seem to always have most items readily available. Most times you can run in and out without having to wait in a long line.The customers are always greeted with a friendly smile and conversation. Thanks to my HEB

They have always had good priced produce which is mostly fresh as it is sourced locally within the state. but their store band Texas license to carry holders from comfortably openly carrying in their stores. I understand this decision came down at the corporate level but it was still extremely politically motivated. Alienating half of their customers by denying them their right to self-defense so that they can make the other half of their customers feel more comfortable. Thankfully it didnt go as far as to ban concealed carry. But during the hot summer months that still very uncomfortable. But because of their good produce and good prices, thats why I didnt give them 1 star.

I pulled into the HEB parking lot about to do some shopping when I noticed I had a very low tire so I pulled up to their air machine and it said it would cost$1.50 in quarters so I went to the clerk to get two dollars in change but she told me that she was only allowed to give one dollar in quarters which would require me to buy something and the cheapest thing was a news paper of which I had to buy two so it cost me a dollar fifty just to get two more quarters. But after I aired up my tire I went and spent my$135.00 on groceries at Wal Mart

Great for getting great sales and quality produce and great meats. Great for just running in quickly. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Selection is not huge just the top flavors and popular items. They can order specific things that dont have in store.

Great place to shop. Has fresh produce, meats, bakery, and most everything you need in a supermarket to include dry goods.

Nice little grocery store. Plenty of produce and meat selection. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming to our children. Womens restroom was clean and well stocked as well.Just passing through, but found everything we needed quickly.

Best grocer in Gatesville. Its my preferred Pharmacy also friendly folks . It is the only Pharmacy I use the specialty HEB Pharmacy in Austin ships my Actemira Biologic injectables there to slow the progression of the incurable autoimmune disease.

Always friendly service and usually have everything Im looking for. Also one of the lowest gas prices in town.

I love this place. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and last longer than the ones that I pick up at Walmart, especially spinach. Theyre purple cap whole milk is amazingly delicious you have to try it if your a milk fan. They have great deals and coupons all over the store, and the staff is always so friendly and ready to help at any turn. Just a great Hometown grocer, theyve earned my business and I will continue to shop here indefinitely.

Great prices, helpful and friendly staff. This is the only place I buy my meat it is fresh and good selection. If you cant find the meat you are looking for ask the staff. More then likely they have it in the back and will wrap it up and bring it out to you.

Legit, small ol little HEB. Reminds me some other locations, like the one in San Marcos on campus, minus the students. Or even the old HEB on East 7th in Austin. Love the remnants in older and smaller HEBs. Theres always a certain quality you dont get at bigger HEBs. Though the HEB plus is fancy, Id pick the small one to shop at regularly. Unless I need a good beer selection, then Id go to HEB plus.

HEB is my favorite grocery store to go to. They seem to have everything thats needed and they are always conveniently located. I love that they have meal deals always going on. One of the best place for couponers. They have a well-stocked selection also and a great deli Market. The cakes are also wonderful there. They are beautifully decorated and very presentable looking. The gas is also a good quality and they sell E85 also.

As good as can be expected for a small town grocery store. Still offers a good selection of groceries and other items one might need for any occasion or get together.

Wishing they had Simply Ruffles 😔 but other than that they really do keep a good variety compared to other smaller HEBs.

Customer service is excellent. Recently I was charged twice for some grapes on a previous visit. I mentioned it to Mario as I was checking out and he gave instructions to get me a refund immediately. Staff members in store have always been very helpful in finding an item. HEB is definitely my grocery store of choice!

The parking lot is a bit wierd, but overall its a nice grocery store. I love how little details are well thought out though, like the buggy returns in the handicapped areas. Able bodied people often just stick all buggy returns half way out in the parking lot without thinking about us, like the other grocery store in town whos buggy returns are so far away from most of their handicapped spots its a shorter walk to go back inside the store and return them. HEB though puts theirs conveniently right beside our spots, which is a huge help for me. The longer I stand the more pain I am in, and a return right beside the spots helps a lot.
