Love this place. I drive an hour to get some good cuts of meats. I recently purchased some really nice juicy steaks. Let me tell you, it was out of this world. All I added was salt n pepper and I “pushed it good” in to my mouth hmmm...hmmm. All the folks from the owner to the cashier are lovely folks.

If you need to get the best meet please go to this location. They do have a variety and the prices are very reasonable. I went once and now we go every other week to this store to get all our stuff. It is a kind of one stop place to buy everything.The Staff is Very Friendly too and they eager to help you.They have a huge selection of products too other than the meet.

I usually love this place their food is of great quality. The customer service used to be very good. However recently I felt discriminated against because of being a woman. I literally saw them charge a man $2 less per pound for the same meat choice that I paid for. When I questioned why he was not charging me the price listed on the sign, they told me the sign was broken and it had the wrong price listed. But I saw him charge a man the price listed on the sign. I am very disappointed.

I actually came out for the Lancaster Dutch Market as I looked around I saw the Halal market so I went in and bought chicken there. all I can say is wow! After buying raw chicken here there is no possibility of me buying raw chicken from any grocery store again. It was so fresh and definitely a huge difference in taste from name brands I would buy at the grocery store.Also staff was very informative helpful and friendly! I’ve already told friends about this market on Facebook and will be back tomorrow with a friend!

I have been coming here for years now, and they have the best meat, the best customer service, the best everything.They always great you with a smile, and I’m not even Muslim but because of them I won’t eat any other meat but Halal (unless in an Emergency and none around). If you need clean meat, a butcher who will remember you and your preferences this is your place. They will take the time out to give you suggestions, ideals and answer any question you have all with a smile... I can not say enough great things about this place.

Goat meat is good but they bumped up the prices recently due to high demand. Nevertheless a good halal meat place in this area. Only complain I have is using the same cutting blades/knives for beef and goat meat. Its bit unhygienic for me and few of my friends.

The meat is very expensive compare to the other halal shops in the area. They claim it’s due to Covid which is not true. I used to buy meat from indus food of silver spring which is a bit far from my house. They had a price increase during the summer of last year because of Covid, but their prices dropped once the shortage supply had been resolved. I guess I still have to drive to them to get the meat because there is almost $20 difference in prices compare to these guys.

Worst meat shop that I’ve ever encountered. Compare to Virginia halal stores. Rude, don’t know how to interact with customers, there wait times are over 15 minutes and the Hispanic guys who supposedly are hired to do their jobs instead of yapping around n insulting customers they just stand around n pretend they know what theyre doing. Im even surprised the owner who is a Middle Eastern Muslim hired a None Muslim person as one of the managers of his business. The last not the least if you’re a female n want to shop obviously if you are not covered all the way you’re treated less compared to the ones that are covers with hijab. An incident that happened on March 8, 2021 while the young manager from El Salvador started arguing with me is right now being viral on YouTube. Public needs to become aware of a business that has a poor reputation on disrespecting its customers.

Just started coming here for meat about a year ago, when I moved to the area. The quality of the meat is amazing and the prices are very fair. The butchers know the cuts and always go the extra mile in ensuring that the order is done right.This is the only place I shop for meat and thats not going to be changing any time soon.

Very Bad Experience with these Folks in the store (Cheating guys)I would never recommend this store to buy Meat.i was made to wait in the line for 1 hour and 20 minutes just to say that there is no Goat meat.i have asked for Goat Ground meat and the store guy gathered all the left over Fat pieces of goat and was trying to sell me, when i denied take it, and questioned him he is charging 12.99 per pound for Ground meat and he is suppose to give good meat, but not to cheat by selling unwanted Goat Fat mixed with goat meat, he was so adamant to reply, i have wasted his time and meat, he asked me be out of the store and there is no meat to sell.it was me who has waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes to get this bad experience.i havent seen such a Dirty behaving people in business.i would never ever step into the store and would ask my friend also not to buy any thing from this store.i wonder how this store has good reviews before, may be its all fake.

I’ve had the pleasure of finding this local grocery market in Germantown. The customer service is among the best I’ve ever experienced. The owner himself would come to me and embrace me as one of his own from the moment I step foot in his lovely establishment. The owner explained to me his dream to help and give back. He explained how providing his community with a better option of food was essential. The owner then explained how his personal relationships with his halal vendors from halal farms makes all the difference in the taste and quality of food. He said his meat was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife and oh was he right! Recommend ten out of ten!!

If you want to get fresh meat. Germantown halal is the best place to go. They have good goat backleg and they remove the fat almost entirely. When we cook it, it becomes tasty. Definitely going recommend it. Its nearly impossible to find a good store when you can pay Germantown halal for fresh meat. Good experience with them. Keep up the good work. A little bit of fat makes then tastier when cooked.

I come here at least once a week for our meats from the butcher. It’s a noticeable difference from the big box stores. More marbling. Higher quality. Weve been shopping with them for years now and we purchase our halal meat exclusively from this store. Their meat quality is consistently high and their customer service is great too! Throughout the pandemic theyve done everything to stay safe and still provide the same level of service pre covid-19.

I was very happy to find this place. The meat is incredible. Just grilled up 2 big ribeyes from here and it was some of the best meat I have had. The marbling was gorgeous and it came out very tender. The owner is very courteous and takes great pride in his product. Thanks Mr Deen for always educating me about the different cuts and best ways to prepare.

Got our chicken breast and flank steak from GHMG today and it’s definitely one of the best. The meat is fresh and they remove almost all the fat. We did curbside pickup and our butcher was so nice to bring it to the car. This place is definitely going to be my go-to butcher shop. Thank you!

Very clean. Fresh Meat and chicken, as always. My wife placed the order over phone and gave my name to pick it up. They called when the order was ready. Everything was good, except when I tried to tip the employees who prepared my order. I was surprised, they don’t allow adding tip to credit card payment. I didn’t it like it at all. This is a request to the owner to allow adding tip to credit card payment. I hope to see it implemented in my next visit.

Great quality meats, friendly service. Any cut of steak you want they have on site. Lamb chops were superb as well. Highly recommend.

Petty and Dishonest vendor, I have been going to this shop for 5 years and spend nearly 200 to 300 dollars here monthly. But after the owners wife charged me twice for a single transaction ($18.47 only)by telling me the first transaction didn’t go through and again processed my card . Told me only one transaction will post. But when both transaction posted i called in to fix the issue. The owner’s wife said they only saw one transaction. I put in a dispute for duplicate transactions but after opening the dispute the owner wife refunded the duplicate transaction and I was told by the bank that the dispute is closed because the owner had refunded on his own. After that I went to the shop and owner refused that the dispute was closed and that he wasn’t paid for the transaction. I showed him my bank statement from bank app with the duplicate transaction and only one refund from him and the dispute reversal. He said I never received the money from my bank. This is ridiculous first you charge a customer twice and then refuse to acknowledge that you charged the customer twice. Then when he opens a dispute you immediately refund the amount so the dispute is closed by the bank. Then say you need to pay me again. Wow.

Finally we found an excellent fresh meat shop.The most amazing meat I have ever tasted.The shop is all the time clean.

The store is clean and the meat has always been very fresh. Theres a slight language barrier so you have to be very specific about what you want in the least amount of words as possible. Its best to call and place your order instead of waiting in line.

This is now the only place I buy poultry, meat, and eggs. It is always VERY fresh, products can be cut to order, and the staff is always friendly and wiling to help me determine the best cuts for my intended use. They also have a great selection of spices that cannot be found (or are too expensive for less quality) at the conventional grocery store.

Worst customer service. I was a regular customer to this store but wont be anymore. Place an order via phone and they gave 40 minute ETA. I went to store after 1 hour and waited for 40 more minutes but I did not get my order. Peter tried to process my order but then the owner forced him to work on another order who came after me just because its a bulk order. After raising the concern, their reply was will call you when your order is ready, Worst customer service. Just because you are getting bigger orders, its not fair to neglect other orders.

We have been a customer to Germantown Halal Meat & Groceries from the time it opened about 4 years ago. We live in Clarksburg and it had been a huge effort to get to a Halal store before but since the opening of GHMG, we have looked no further. This is a one stop shop for all our Halal and Mediterranean groceries.Bro. Deen and all his staff are very friendly and professional. Its very convenient to place your order over phone or just drop in. I was very impressed by Bro Deens professionalism where I had once over paid my order without even realizing. He called me the same day informing me the overpaid amount and kept as a store credit to be used for my next order :). A second incidence happened where I forgot a bag of grocery in the store and came back home, again without realize what I was missing. :). I got a call from Bro. Deen again informing me and offering to delivery it home. These gesture are truly remarkable and makes a deep impact. Its not that a few bucks here and there would mean too much for most of us but its the true genuine gesture that means a lot.I wish all the very best to GHMG family and I would highly recommend this place.

Found a meat shop that does not smell like rotten meat!I used to go to Deshi Bazar off of 355 for fresh local meat. As soon as you walk in there you can feel the smell of old fungi and rotten blood. But not in Germantown Halal Meat. This is the cleanest meat shop I have seen in the area. Owners are super friendly. You can even place an order over the phone and stop by to pick up. Shop is not crowded with junk and ample room to move around. Good price and tasty meat!Definitely a place to visit.
