I love hardware stores. Im a gadget girl. Going to home depot is a shopping trip I love, except I want to buy all the things. My husband always tries to rush me out the door. π
Two weeks ago, I was there to return something at the customer service department. But a lady was really unkindly speaking to me. I was upset in the morning. When I was purchasing a lot of items, there was nothing complaining. But when I return some items, it looks like they dont like working for returning customers. I spent over $6000 in three months for my patio project. but I returned around $300.

Went here for a clamp. First person I came across thought I said plants. Eventually found someone who directed me to the correct aisle. Needed a clamp that would cover 6 inches. Found two types. Selected the Dewalt. Cost about twice what I expected, though.
I dislike the shady grove MD home depot so we went to the Germantown Md store to buy a desk....we had the SWEETEST young man to help us by the name of Bryan- who was AMAZING- was so thoughtful, kind, caring and helped us decide on the desk I wanted. He was so knowledgeable about everything and walked us right thru the steps to have it delivered and even gave suggestions to have someone put it together for us. Bryan you are a gem and this store is so lucky to have you!! I hope this review finds its way to you somehow!! Thanks for superior customer service.
I had to look for someone to help me then I ask the lady at self check out someone could help me . She then took me over to plumbing and pointed out a older gentleman but he was helping another customer. Once he was done he help me THIS GUY WAS COMPLETELY AWESOME HE GOT ME THE RIGHT TOLIET SET AND THE EXTRA SCREWS ππππ I FORGET HIS NAME AGAIN HE WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A π

After a horrible telephone experience with a special order on a washer and dryer, I went to the Germantown store. After I explained the problems I was having, Gloria Lopez took charge and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. If you need a major appliance Gloria will take care of you.
Do not waste your time at this Home Depot. I have been here twice in the last week. First time I stood at customer service to pick up an order for 10 minutes as 10 different employees walked around me chatting with each other ignoring me. Today I came in for three basic items. After looking for them myself for 20 minutes, I asked two different associates to locate them. I had to follow the associate around the store for an additional 15 minutes as he looked for someone who could help. After all of that it turns out that the item was out of stock despite the fact that the store was showing a large quantity on the website. In addition, I needed some HVAC supplies which were significantly cheaper at Loews. I will be going there, and never returning to this Home Depot.
Midday on the weekends are the busiest time at this Home Depot, so if thatβs when youβre planning to go, the parking lot can get packed quickly so bring your patience. If you go early or later in the day, youβll have more breathing room and more staff available to help answer questions.
This used to seem to be a less than busy store. But seems to always be busy now. Associates are always helpful and have been attentive to the service being rendered.

No one knows anything at this store. Very suprising. I get better service in west Virginia one of the top 20 poorest states. Smh. My friend tripped over this. she just had back surgery. A fork lift coming down the aisle beeping the horn she tried to get out the way she tripped. Safety hazards. Poor customer service.

Make sure you take note of the product code on any item that lacks a product barcode. Even the checkout assistants have trouble looking these up and have to call help to send someone to search the shelves to find the code.
To small parking spaces... but I know that is not Home Depot fault...Was impressed there was a staff member out in the rain cleaning the parking lot... had to give her a small gift... for such a dedication to the mission....

We have been treated very badly by the store system twice. We purchased kitchen counters (two ground ones and two wall ones) and paid the whole cost in full. When we came to receive the ground ones they said itβs all gone. But with the help of one of the managers (David) we got them both. Then when we came to receive the wall ones they said there is only one left . Now we have to drive all the way to Aspen hill branch to receive the second wall counter. I really expect Home Depot reputation is much higher than this level.

Who doesnt like Home Depot? Can you believe you can get leather gloves there for about $5? They always have small bargains to add to your cart. Yes, some of the small items are pricey, but there is always something new and cool to help you organize your tools, stuff, and just about anything else. These are things beyond home improvement supplies. Things like rubber covered wire. I never thought I needed that, but now Im using it for so many things. So many different kinds of hooks and hangers and gadgets to organize. And plants! And the return policy guarantees you wont have to regret a purchase. Look around closely and you will find useful items you didnt even know you needed. Dont buy junk from infomercials that you breaks and you cant return. HD stocks quality items and you may return what doesnt work. Those solar powered motion detection lights are perfect example. Get them from HD, not from a website that ships them from China. Let HD ship it from China and return it if it doesnt work. Chances are HD has weeded out the junk and the product will work for you.
My wife says 3.5. Clean bathrooms but items that were said to be in the store at specific aisles werent. Very busy location in a very busy location.
Needed help with a plumbing question but the expert just couldnt be bothered. Instead he told me to go to Lowes. So I went to Lowes and received outstanding service.
Terrible service!! Placed my order on Jun. 28, 2021. They loose my order and now nobody give me any response about it. Went to the store on Sunday Aug. 8 to check it and they stays that Majda (Manager) will call me on Monday. STILL WAITING FOR THE CALL !!!!

Its practically all self check out and the self check out area is a freeform all. Some people form a line, some people just go in front. Chaotic.
The young lady in the window shade department was very helpful. She took her time, measured carefully, and gave me a brand new window shade...that fits perfectly.

I bought shower door and they never mailed me the door handles. I had to call delta to find out which store had the handles .I called several times to customer service and they transferred the phone call several times to Germantown store. Germantown store told me some manager was going to call me back to help me locate the handles after 3 weeks i.am still waiting for phone call. People go to lowes for your projects. I will never going to buy anything at homedepot . They are clueless.

This is my preferred Big box home improvement store. Everything is easy to find, I can get large sheet goods cut down by employees, and the employees I talk to are very knowledgeable.It might be bad, but my favorite part is the parking lot. Its easy to get in, park, and get out.The other home improvement stores in the area have dreadful parking lots that give me claustrophobia! The other stores are always packed full of people and the parking lots arent suitable for a car without dents....
Low staff on Saturday. No one could help us with key. Several staff standing nothing.
My wife just got an Christmas tree from them and they neglected to tie it down properly. She was going slower than the speed limit as suggested and it ended up hanging off the side of car. Please check all tree tie downs before you leave.

On 10/28/2020 the attached picture telling you yes, we has your goods, but when you arriving Home Depot, it was long gone and moved away from shelf.Kindly update as is / where is with correct info. I really like the store but when I needed to see if they carried a product I called 4 times to see if it was available. The automated answer line connected me to a department each time. No one picked up the phone until my fourth try when I asked the bot for a manager. The person who answered the phone then connected me to a person who said she couldnβt hear me and hung up.
Ive been going to this location for years and never have a bad experience here. Customer service is great!
Went there to get some sheets of wood cleanly cut. When I got to the machine cutter the employee told us he would do it. The wood was marked with a measured, clearly drawn line of where to cut but he did a very rushed job and cut the wood at a complete diagonal, totally missing the line, hence wasting the wood piece. Then he has the audacity to call my line crooked and proceeds to blame me when it was obvious that the wood was cut in a hurried and carefree manner. Would not come here for cutting, ended up doing a much better job at home.

I found my items quickly. The check out line was long but there were at least six registers open so we moved very quickly.
Be aware of the new return policies! Dont buy more than what you need to. They sell online items by pallets now, when you need to return the boxes you didnt need they require a minimum number of pallets (not boxes) for a return, basiclly you end up with surplus material that you are unable to return. My item was MSI tiles, I shared my concern to the Manager and he said there was nothing he could do. Shady way to make money. I check the email of my online order and there is no place in the email that explains this. Home Depot always trying to pull a fast one!

Spent $1700 on new shower surround (PVC panels). Bought 5 tubes of Crystal Clear Loctite all purpose silicone construction adhesive. All 5 tubes were EXPIRED with a 2019 dates (purchased 1-31-21). Now the panels are only half adhered to the walls and the job is ruined! Loctite refunded the $50 but that does not begin to fix the problem Home Depot caused by selling out of date products.

The manager of this facility probably doesnβt exist or constantly on vocation. He has to check first if new employees can read before higher them.All they had to do is to read properly 3 color selections and amount of them on the Behr color palette. This mission was failed every time. Lack of professionalism of 50% employees in paint department.
I called to get inquiry for my order when asked if I should cancel and just purchase my boxes in store inside the lady began to explain situations which I said I understand but do you think it will be faster to come in to purchase thatβs when she hung up on me I called back again and the phone was ringing than someone answer didnβt speak and put me on hold without saying hello or asking me to hold, of course I was calling back to speak to a supervisor currently place on a unwanted hold. I understand yβall are back up in orders but when a customer in inquiring about how to better handle situation itβs rude to hang up on them and try to ignore them when they try to call back to report incident.UPDATE: Got in contact with a manager on duty who handle the situation, amazing manager skills handle it perfectly.I hate to complain but I felt like I wasnβt rude and was just inquiry which situation will be best for both parties.Thank you to all employees working hard during this difficult time

Ive been a Home Depot customer for many years and never had any issues. Well, I ordered a shed from them and must say Im very disappointed. The shed as shown on their website when you order is tan with red doors and white trim. As you can see from the picture attached, the shed that arrived is all tan (no red doors or white trim). When I called Home Depot they said if you read the fine print that it doesnt come painted and needs to be painted. But yet all over the pictures is it red with white trim. As a paying customer for an expensive shed, it should be clear that I have to paint the shed. I shouldnt have to read the fine print on another page attached to a PDF someplace else to find out oh the shed you ordered doesnt look like the picture we show on the website you have to paint it yourself. Customer Service couldnt help at all. Im completely annoyed by this and if customers are responsible for painting it should be clearly labeled in the product description for everyone to see!!

I called this Home Depot and after being hung up on three times, I was able to finally get through to someone. I asked if they had 12ft tree stands, and he told me they were in stock. I asked if I could reserve one, and he told me there was no need because they had about 20. Just in case, I went ahead and placed an online order pick up at around 2:00pm. Then, after 3 hours, I called ahead and asked if I could pick it up. The person on the phone told me they were getting it ready right now. I drove to the Home Depot, and the order was not ready. In fact, the product I had ordered 3 hours ago were out of stock. Even though someone had said there were plenty in stock and they were getting it ready, no one bothered to actually pick up the item and reserve it. When I tried to ask to speak to who is in charge of the online orders, the employee replied βI donβt know.β I asked who can we talk to about this and he said, βI donβt know, Iβll be right back,β and then he left and did not come back. I asked if there was anyway I could reserve the same product at another Home Depot, but after about 30 minutes of the employee trying to make that happen I gave up and just got a refund.Then I drove to the Gaithersburg Home Depot and was able to find exactly what I was looking for in less than 5 minutes with the help of competent employees.This situation shows how unprofessional and unreliable the Germantown, Home Depot employees are. Itβs not the employees fault, it is the people who failed to train them. Now this business is being run by unorganized and irresponsible workers. Donβt shop here, drive 10 minutes on 270 to the Gaitherbsurg Home Depot where you will actually be able to find what you need.
