I was in this store five times. I bought 2 pairs of glasses/lenses. The staff is great, professional, knowledgeable. On my fifth visit to pickup my second pair of glasses, the Optometrist decided to pull a power play. I would avoid this guy. You can read my profile, I rarely leave 1* reviews, unless deserved. You should not give your customers ultimatums. If this guy leaves, this is a 5* location.
Dr. Bassett, OD was the best! He was very friendly and informative. As a closet Ophthalmologist I tend to ask a lot of questions as I like to understand how my vision works and how it can be helped. Dr. Bassett was willing to explain what he was doing and I felt that I was a valued patient not just another paying customer. I feel that he went above and beyond the standard of care and I will definitely refer him to friends and family.
I have been to Visionworks for years. The Drs and the staffs have been great. I am very disappointed today when I came and tried to get my glasses. When I sat down to price my glasses, and I was offered different options on the glasses. I saw a promotion on the side of the computer that advertised exactly what I needed for the glasses, and it read,”get a frame and get the non-glare on glasses for free.” And I asked about the promotion, and the lady just said “that is not for this”impatiently. Throughout the service, she acted as l was there to bother her. I was let down today.
Overall a great experience with the staff and process of how they took care of my family. Dr. A was very informative with how she wanted to figure out your prescription before looking at previous prescriptions you’ve had. Check in process was very quick, and there was a large amount of selection of frames to choose from. I will definitely be going back annually or as needed.
The eye doctor has been great and we have been to this office for past 2 years which is why were continuing at this office. However, after our experience today and my father’s recent experience. I will not be back. I believe they under new management and she is less then helpful. The manager did not even introduce herself and had a very flippant, non-caring attitude.I scheduled our year follow up last year with a date and time. They sent us 3 email confirmations and 3 text messages. I attempted to cancel appointment as it I did not work with my work schedule. However, it was impossible to reach someone to cancel the appointment not only through the office but the national number. I attempted to use the online system which also did not help. I am a physician, it is a pain when patients no show, so I rearranged my schedule to make it to the schedule appointment. However, when I arrived both my daughter and my appointments did not exist per the front desk. They stated those are just year appointments, basically reminders. When I tried to explain that this was not what was explained when the appointments were made a year ago and that I had confirmed through the the email, she stated they have nothing and we would have to reschedule. I spoke with the manager expressed my frustration first with the scheduling system which she admitted was a mess. She stated that they called people who confirmed to cancel their appointments because they moved their second doctor to another location today. I told her that I did not receive this call and told her about rearranging my schedule to make this appointment she stated there was nothing she could do.My father’s experience recently involved that he was not contacted when his glasses were ready. Again, he tried to reach someone and could not. When he came in they had a hard time finding his order. I guess they had been for a while and they could care less that no one had contacted him.I think the management changes are poor and frankly if they continue to treat their long standing customers in this fashion, they will find loss of more than just this family as customers. I would steer clear of this place as they really don’t care about you and will not even try to help you rectify this situation. When I told the manager to cancel all future appointments she did not even care.
This is a edit of my last review which I gave 1 Star.I had several issues with trying to get my glasses adjusted, I went in 4 out of 5 times and was told my glasses were not adjustable or they didnt feel comfortable adjusting my glasses.To make a long story short, after posting my 1 Star review Dr. Bassett reached out to me, he did find a problem with my glasses and came up with a game plan to get them fixed/corrected.Today 6/14/2021, I received my remake, Cindy was extremely nice and had no issues adjusting them and getting them to fit my face correctly.Also during this couple month process Michelle, Mario and Dr. Bassett have been extremely helpful in trying to make things right and get a pair of glasses that not only fit right but are to my liking.If you go into this location I would try to work with one of the above mentioned people, they will go out of their way to try to help you.This is why I can only give 3 stars because of the above issue and some of the staff being rude or sarcastic when it came to help me with my adjustment or other issues I was having with my vision.
Absolutely terrible. I went in for an eye exam for glasses. The Dr was friendly but unfortunately he got my prescription wrong!!!!! When I went to pick up my glasses, I immediately could tell that the prescription was wrong. When I spoke with the lady up front and asked her to check the script, she was rude. I wish I had gotten her name, so I could include her with a personal shout-out in this review.( She wore glasses and had the gray roots in the front, just Im case you actually buy glasses from these people, you can avoid her!!! ) When she came back with the glasses, she informed me that the script was in fact spot on, and when I continued to tell her I couldnt see out of the glasses, she tells me the Dr will not see for at least 2 weeks for a follow. So, I asked for a refund. Went for a new exam at Costco, and of course the script from Visionworks was far from spot on. It was in fact was wrong on both eyes! Trust me, dont go to these people!!!! Costco optometry was excellent, very professional, had a much better selection of frames and was cheaper!!!
I had such a great experience with Dr. Bray. He was very friendly and solved some issues i was having with my contacts and my glasses prescriptions which were some really big misses by my previous eye doctor. I want to thank him and the whole team who were very friendly and helpful. Tamara was excellent as well with her insurance knowledge and product expertise when purchasing my glasses and contacts. Thank you so much Visionworks team. I will be sending my husband to you as well. Cant wait to get my new glasses.
I have been here for frames twice now and both times I have had Michelle help me. I would recommend anyone that come here try and ask for her. She is extremely helpful and honest when choosing frames and lenses.
I am severely impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of my eye exam. They took the time to make sure to check for any issues related to my diabetes and was also able to locate other issues that previous eye doctors never even found. Ive never been able to see as clearly during an eye exam. I was given a referral to other eye specialists that will be better able to examine my eyes. It was an overall amazing experience, and severely thankful that they care for their patients like family and not just another copay to collect.
I bought glasses on 4/3/21 spent 320$ haver tried to use the website all this week to find when they would be arriving around and the website says my order doesnt exist .... i called the store only to find out that they lost my glasses, the woman claims she resubmitted the glasses again to an outside lab and that now i have to wait another 2 weeks. she didnt even seem sorry that this happened. if this is the amazing customer service people have been referring to then their bar for it is set way too low in my opinion. wish i could give 0 stars
Made an appointment to get new glasses. Was greeted promptly at arrival, temperature taken, and their protocols for trying on frames explained. I began searching for a frame(s) was later joined by my wife. We narrowed it down to 2 frames as well as potentially putting the new lenses in my spare frame.From the moment we sat down at one of the tables, Michelle took charge. First calling our insurance company to determine who was the vision plan provider (it wasn’t spelled out on out insurance card). She examined my current glasses, as well as my prescription sunglasses ( the ones we decided to have new lenses put in) to check for the type of lenses I had, the coatings, and indicated putting the new lenses in my existing sunglasses frame was the best option. She measured the old glasses, then used a couple of devices to measure my eyes, double checked everything, made some suggestions about the lens material, potential coatings, and the various levels of lens darkness. Periodically she would look up and greet new customers, immediately resuming to completing our order. Her approach and professionalism put us at ease and we felt quite comfortable with the entire process.The ultimate cost was much less than we had expected. Michelle gave us some instructions on what to expect going from there. She wrote several notes on the envelope the receipts went in case we had any questions later. While unnecessary she apologized for how long it took for her to help us.We understood that good things take time and we were appreciative of her having taken the time to do such a thorough job.If you go to the San Tan Visionworks we suggest that you ask the Michelle.
I absolutely adore Dr. Bassett! I have a birth defect in my eyes that can be challenging to correct, but Dr. Bassett gets me and my unique needs and has been able to refine my prescription so well that I see 20/25...the best I ever have had in my entire life. And he has a great personality on top of that. Strongly recommend him!
WOULD RATE 0 STARS IF I COULD.. By far the worst customer experience I have had in a very long time. I arrived 5 mins prior to my appointment time to find 4 more pages of information that I had to fill out (even though I filled out the online form prior to arriving like they tell you to) over the course of almost an hour of waiting. At the end of my hour long wait someone finally helps me by asking for my insurance card (which I had already given in the form I filled out online prior to arriving) he then says that since its after 6pm they cant call to verify my insurance and therefore cant see me and would have to resched. I have two kids, work a full time job, and am going to college and can say this place was not in anyway respectful of my time, the only redeeming experience was the guy said sorry. Unfortunately sorry doesnt get my hour of time back plus the time I will spend having to find a new eye Dr as I will and my family will not be going back to this place EVER and I will tell other busy adults in my life to do the same, not worse the waste of time.
I visited Visionworks without an appointment because of an urgent problem with my eye. Dr. Lad promptly and properly diagnosed the problem, explained what was needed, and identified the medicine required. She was kind, professional, nurturing, and did a fantastic job in solving my problem on short notice. I would give her 100 stars if I could!Many Thanks Dr. Lad!! 😁
Dr. Glenn Bassett is great. Sincerely cares, professional while personable. Doesn’t try to sell you more than needed. Highly recommend him.Michelle is one of THE BEST customer service people (sorry, I don’t know her exact job title) at that store. Very personable, fun to deal with, knowledgeable, helpful, on the ball and has common sense. I actually remembered her from the previous interaction I had with her, which was over a year ago. Ask for her when you go there. You will not be disappointed. I am not saying the rest of the staff there is not good. Best is to form your own opinion...always :)
Went for my first visit to Visionworks. The staff, my doctor were so great! The choice of lenses is amazing. Thank you to the ladies who helped me find my glasses and gave me honest feedback! Great experience! Highly recommend.

Five stars for the optometrist, *negative 4 stars* for the retail store, specifically, the incompetent and rude management.
I went 8/2020 and this is not my normal vision works, but due to corona this was the only one I could get into in the time I needed. I always get glasses and contacts and gave this information to the staff that I would like a prescription for both. I was asked to wait which was fine, and I walked around looking at lenses in the meantime. I was told that it was my turn and I was then asked by a staff member if I would be doing both glasses and contacts and again I said yes. I get in to the doctors office who was very sweet and get my exam done. Next is to pay for my exam and get my prescriptions. I was handed my prescription for my glasses but not contacts. When I mentioned this, I was told by the staff that I never asked for it and they were rude when they told me that I would have to see the doctor again as if it was an inconvenience. I waited until they could get me in, again! I see the doctor get my next exam, go back to the front desk and wait for my printed prescription and found that there was some issues with my insurance so I decided that I would schedule an appointment for my glasses another time. I get home and realize that on my glasses prescription it is missing my cylinder measurement and had to call them for this information. I called for three days before I spoke with a person who then put me on hold, but actually hung up on me. I called back and was on hold for about 25 minutes before I received what I needed.I will never go back to this location. Staff were rude during the actual visit and phone call after mistakes on their end and even after all that, I will be going back to my normal Visionworks to redo my prescriptions because I cant chance that the prescriptions that were given to me are correct. The doctor stated that my vision barely changed, but this new prescription compared to my last one varies by a lot.
I havent gotten my glasses anywhere but this store for many years. My daughter has as well. I guess after all of the years Visionworks needs to be reminded that even loyal customers have choices and while it was never my intention, it is time to find somewhere else to get our glasses. The front desk was intolerably condescending and rude while at the same time being unapologetically unhelpful. After 3 minutes of that treatment, I had to leave. Fortunately, lots of people make glasses and give eye exams. It wont be hard to replace them with someone better.
The whole experience was lovely. Entire staff were helpful and professional. Also, my husband and I had a great time. I felt safe with the obvious steps taken to ensure our continued good health during the pandemic. Thanks guys!

When I had my eye appt I have three different dates on when I could use my insurance to get contacts, I have been calling this location for weeks to get my prescription faxed over to somewhere else! All I get is because of COVID they are limiting the amount of calls!? Makes no sense!! Very irritating as I STILL haven’t been able to get contacts due to them NEVER answering! All I want is my prescription faxed over to a new office so I can get myself contacts.

I am always highly satisfied with the quality of service I receive here. They take good care of me and are very professional and friendly. I have been going here since 2018. Even when I moved an hour away, I still made the drive just to go to this store for my eye exams and glasses and everything else!

They have a high priority to maintain safety during Covid 19. All clients are seperated in the waiting room and all surfaces are cleaned between clients. Optometrist was very thorough with the exam, noting my right eye changed since last year. They worked with my insurance to get everything approved.
Service in person is great. Trying to call or contact a real person is impossible. I called for 3 days to get a copy of my prescription and no answer. Tried to do contact support online and sent an email still no answer.
Came in for my appointment and was not told that my insurance would not cover until I questioned the paperwork. The worker got immediately defensive and rude. When I asked why I wasn’t told beforehand that there was an issue with my insurance she called over another worker who said she called me and left a message that morning. I showed her my phone log with no missed calls or messages and that’s when the eye rolling began and she got even more rude. I asked what was wrong with my insurance and she said that she didn’t know and I would have to call VSP to find out. When I asked if she had the phone number she said that I can just google it to find out. RUDE. I will NEVER visit this location again. And btw my insurance was good and one call to vsp on her end would have fixed that.

08/05/20 I purchased a pair of prescription sun glasses and regular glasses. I was very happy with Glenn Bassett OD and Michelle Turner who gave exceptional assistance. Once I received the email my glasses were in, I was instructed to call and make an appointment. I was on hold for a total of 2 1/2 hours after trying several different numbers and went online with no success. I drove to the store and Michelle Turner kindly got me right in to get my glasses. Unfortunately the prescriptions were not correct. I again had to go back to the store. The lady that seemed to be in charge, was rude and unapologetic. She proceeded to tell me the problems I was having were company wide not just their store....as if that makes a difference to me. I was informed I had to make an appointment to be in the store. I could not get an appointment until 2 days later to talk to someone to resolve THEIR mistake. I have paid for 2 pairs of glasses I can’t use. I was not treated with respect.....no empathy or apology. I was made to feel I was a bother!!!
Terrible service, I paid for a protection plan and went in to have my glasses fixed, they told me I didnt have the protection plan. Ridiculous I always buy the protection plan. Never waste your time or money at this dump...
My $20 copay was not reflected on the bill, when I called about it:1 every time I called had to wait at least 15 to 30 minutes to get hold of someone.2 turned out they charged a ‘standard’ $70 eye glass exam (not covered by insurance) which I never asked for!Horrible experience
This has been one of the most positive experiences with a Optometrist. All of the staff are professional and kind. I have wore glasses off and on since I was 8yrs.old.Paid for a more extensive test on my eyes which gave a more precise outcome to my eyeexam. Thank youChristine Martin

Doctor Sun was awesome at Chandler Mall.Phil and Ericka at San Tan Outside mall were the BEST to work with in frame shopping.
First off, I was greeted with a significant amount of disrespect. When we approached the entrance, The man at the front door immediately aimed the temperature measuring device at my forehead even though I had kindly requested that he check the temperature on my wrist as that is the more accurate way to check a persons temperature based on research. He then rudely dismissed my request and then mockingly said -dont worry, I wont shoot you. I felt so disrespected and disregarded all at the same time. He then asked both my daughter and I to go cool off by the fan in order to repeat the same offense to check our temperature again as it was high being that we wete outside in the heat of AZ as expected. I felt like I didnt have a choice as he did it again. Mind you, I am very pregnant at 37 weeks and furious because of this incident.And on top of that before I had set up my appointment online I had called prior to make sure they would accept our insurance, I was told they do, and came to find out in the middle of the appointment after meeting with the eye doctor that they dont after they have verified.So Based on this level of mistreatment and a total utter waste of time, I will not recommend or ever be a patron of this business ever again.

Love 💕 dr Bassett he’s the reason I go there and the staff is good too but make sure you clear about 2-3 hours cuz the process isn’t fast. There were some struggles with the coding for insurance which hasn’t changed since last year but it was worth the wait cuz I got all my benefits applied and I got a phenomenal deal!

I would love to give as good review as I absolutely love dr basset! I will update later IF this review actually helps me get ahold of someone! I ordered my contacts over a month ago over the phone paid several hundred dollars and and EXTRA 20$ to have them shipped to my house so as to not need to go out and get them as we are in the middle of a pandemic! I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER!! I CANNOT REACH THE STORE AT ALL BY PHONE AND NO ONE ANSWERS THE CUSTOMER CARE CENTER IM JUST ON HOLD FOREVER. ONLINE SUPPORT WAS AUTOMATED AND NOT LIVE. SO NO HELP THERE. LIKE WTH? If I have to take my self down there to get in touch with someone when I have a new baby at home and risk exposing us bc you people cant answer the phone or have any thing that remotely represents customer service Im am gonna lose my mind! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
This location is Awesome, and Tamera made our experience there a very Pleasant one! I have twin girls who both wear glasses and I myself just recently had a eye exam and have to wear glasses as well. We went to that location because two other Vision Works that we went to did not have any frames that we liked so we were referred to this location.Tamera, was so kind to me and my girls and she was also extremely knowledgeable. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with Kindness and Warmth so much so, that when we left both of my girls said Mom, we liked her, she was so nice :-). I found the perfect pair of frames and my girls both got their lens prescriptions filled. I have been to a few eye glass places and by far this is the best one and when we get our next frames we will be going back. In closing, I just want to Thank Tamera so much for being so nice to us and sharing her knowledge.
Scheduled an appointment after work and then went in to find out that they needed to call my insurance company (which closes at 3) before coming in. Said they tried calling me to notify me and left a message but I never received any voicemail from them. Then they asked me to reschedule which only available appointment was two weeks later. I don’t recommend as the customer experience was not excellent.
The only issue I had with my experience at Visionworks was the wait. They were running late and granted it was a busy Saturday but it was hectic...and 35 minutes past my appointment time.Other than that things went well. The staff was very nice and apologetic about the delay. The doctor - Dr. Wright - was excellent.On the sakes floor, the supervisor, Tamara, helped me with my order. Also very courteous and professional.We’ll see how the glasses turn out in a week or so.
Good and bad, so I struggle with how many stars.The Good: Tom found 3 great frames in record time and was very knowledgeable. Tom rates the best of the best. The rest of the sales staff seemed very unengaged and uninterested.The Bad: There is no pricing posted for services anywhere. When I asked for a list of exam fees, the middle aged lady at the desk was very difficult. Turns out there are only 3 thing on the list, but for some reason she stone walled me.The optometrist was very intense and I repeatedly said “I can hear you” in hopes she would tone it down.Expensive: We paid $1500 for 5 pairs of single vision glasses and two exams.
Felt very comfortable with Covid precautions in place. Exam was thorough. Doctor and store associates were great.

This location is my favorite. Besides being close to home:) they have the doctor in on Sundays. With my busy schedule this is perfect. The patient care here is “Top Notch”. They are always on time and prepared for my visit.Also, the selection of glasses is pretty awesome too. They carry my favorite brands. Coach and Guess:) Thank you for having an amazing team!

Awful experience! The Doctor was good but the staff treated my husband and I as if were a bother. We spent a lot of money there and yet treated horrendously. If it wasnt for my husband needing a new prescription as bad as he did, we wouldnt have continued with the purchase. We will not be coming back again.
I had read the reviews before my husband and I went to have our eye exams. I wasnt thrilled, but decided to go ahead with our appointments, since Covid 19 has made it difficult to get in anywhere that takes our vision insurance. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!! The staff were very pleasant, informative and were following all the safety protocols. Dr. Bassett was professional, informative and willing to answer any and all questions. The nice gentleman that helped us with our new glasses went out of his way to make sure we found what we needed. Kudos to this Visionworks office in San Tan Village! ( The only thing I would like to see change is more large size frames for women, but to be fair, it has been a problem everywhere have shopped for frames.)
Leah was so helpful, conversation and patient while I picked out frames. She made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable about frame size and brands that had a narrower nose bridge!Tom was great when I picked up my glasses and did a lot of adjusting to make sure they were comfortable and fit well!
I have no idea how there arent more negative reviews on here. I came here because the reviews were pretty good, but I wish I just went to Costco! The doctor and tech for the actual eye exam were fine, but the glasses shopping experience has not been great. The employee who helped my husband (after we waited 30 minutes to be helped) was being short and trying to rush us to pay almost $400 for a pair of glasses after the $150 frame allowance. We told her we wanted to check Costco, and she instantly got annoyed and quickly said Costco is cheaper. I think she knew she just lost her sale. On the plus side, the Costco employee was extremely friendly and we only ended up paying $60 out of pocket for similar glasses!!

Staff is and was very curtious, professional and nice. They took the time to thoroughly clean equipment before next person came in and in some cases pending the exam while you were there waiting so you could see your health and keeping you safe during COVID is very important to them.
With protocols of safety in place the staff made the experience fun and informed.Keep up the hidden smiles and dedication.

I tried this location for the first time to purchase glasses. I was very pleased with the professional friendly service by Courtney, the manager on duty. Although the store was quite busy I observed that every customer that entered was greeted with a pleasant smile and acknowledgement. The selection of frames was good and the prices were quite reasonable. Courtney was more than happy to recommend a designer frame on sale that was nicer than the frames I had initially chosen. I liked them better and saved money as well. I will definitely use them again and recommend this business to friends.
My experience there was no good. The staff were so rude especially the skinney lady with dark hair. They are snoty employees. I would never go there again.
A little bummed with my experience at this vision works location. Great staff and great doctors but I was told I couldnt exchange my contacts and it wasnt my fault. Doctor ordered me a trial pair of contacts but said that they werent exactly my prescription and were a new brand. Shortly after picking up the trial, I noticed that I couldnt see out of them. A day later the entire 6 month order of contacts I hadnt placed the order for came in. I went in and picked them up (without having a follow up appointment on the trials). I opened a one of each of the new contacts to try them on thinking that they were my exact prescription. That was where my mistake was. The new contacts that were supposed to be my prescription were just as bad as the trials. I went back thinking that they would let me exchange them and they said since I opened them I couldnt (even though I had the contacts in a case). I understand the idea of not taking back something that is open but I just used my eye insurance allowance up for the whole year and didnt get anything from it. Very upset with my experience and unfortunately will not be back unless the mistake which is not my fault is corrected.
I was able to walk in and get an eye exam completed within 15 minutes. Everyone from the store front, receptionist, and doctor were fantastic. The ladies up front helped pick out my glasses and were even honest about ones that didn’t look so great on my face. They also made solid recommendations on the upgrades I should get rather than trying to sell me the most expensive product.Lastly, I noticed one of the ladies stayed 50 minutes after her shift just to help her coworker during a last minute rush.This is a great establishment with people who actually care about leaving a positive, lasting impression.
What a waste of time made me wait 2 weeks to get an appointment only to try reschedule me once at the office because checking insurance will take long .. new appointment in 20 days! You are out of your brains what a waste... never coming back your customer service is a shame... plenty of competition out there don’t go to this place!
Doctors are great but some of the staff needs some customers manners. I didn’t know their protocol for Covid . There is ways to let people know without yelling
Ive worn glasses since I was 6 and Ive had the best experience at this office. Everyone has been extremely friendly and accommodating. Even when I needed my lenses remade, everyone went above and beyond to make sure they were perfect. Dr. Basset is fantastic. He was even great with my 5 year olds. Gonzo, the man who makes the lenses, is fantastic. He really went above and beyond to make sure my glasses are perfect. I had been a customer with another chain for a long time. Im so glad I switched.
NIce and neat facility. I walk in and got accepted immediately. The test area was clean and high tech. The test with the tech was quick, which is nice. Dr. Basset was very attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Dr. Slavic was amazing. She explained everything she was doing and why. Our consutant named Unique was also great in helping me find attractive glasses and getting the most out of my insurance. I hope they add a few more XL fashions. Overall a great experience.
Dr. Ferrier and staff were wonderful and very thorough. I appreciate their cordial presence, as well as honesty. I’ve been duped into buying my kids glasses by another provider when it wasn’t even necessary or beneficial. It was my first experience at Visionworks, and they were great!!! Even the selection and deals were awesome! I appreciated walking out of the office with not only a great steal for 2 pairs of glasses, but feeling valued by each rep there.

I have taken my family to VisionWorks at San Tan a few times this year. The doctors and staff have been very helpful, accommodating and nice. The glasses and contacts are quite expensive, but service was great.
Exceptional service. Accurate prescription. Yes, I had to wait 10 days to receive my order but, I was aware of this before hand. I was nervous to use this company after reading some of their negative online reviews. But my experience was above average. Thank you Visionworks, you have earned my appreciation.

We went on the evening of November 4th. My daughter needs a new pair of glasses. I must say the woman working there (with purple hair) was less than not helpful at all once we said we were using insurance to buy glasses. My daughter needed a specific size and all the lady said was you can find them on the wall over there. The other gentleman who was helping another family was finding sizes for the people he was helping. Instead of the woman helping us, she rolled her eyes when I said I cannot find a pair of 56s. I left the store and refuse to step foot in there again. Ill take my business to a place its valued. I hope this fantastic associate finds a new job if she is THAT unhappy.

Scheduled an eye exam for contacts and was in and out within 20 minutes.. 4 stars because they didn’t have my contacts in stock so I have to wait 2 weeks for them when I was hoping to get them that day as usual.. but vision works is owned by vsp so if you have vsp insurance I highly recommend as my copay was only 15$
The staff at the San Tan Village location are fantastic. Everyone from the front, the lab and the optometrist’s office have excellent customer service. I have taken my kids there and they were treated so well. That’s the reason I am now going there.
I came in yesterday to get an eye exam and glasses, as the last time I had anything prescribed was in 2013. I worked with Dr. Bassett and James in the front. Everyone at this location was very kind and accommodating, I never felt as if I was being up-charged or forced into anything I didnt want either, certainly will be my one stop shop for vision needs going forward. Big kudos to James!
For the past several years I have been going to this location and all of my prescriptions have been right on. The previous 30 years my prescriptions were never quite right and I went to many different locations. Try them, youll like them.
If I could post no stars I would. Ive never experienced such bad customer service. The staff didnt acknowledge we were there,we waited 15min before they decided to ask how they could help us. Never going back! You shouldnt go either.
Dr. Bassett is amazing! Sooo funny and just an all around great guy. Definitely makes one feel at ease. Answered every question I had. The staff on the retail side are so patient and knowledgeable as well. I was getting so frustrated picking out frames but it ended super quick when Michelle who was helping explained why the frames I thought I wanted were always going to look odd because of my facial structure. She showed me a different yet similarly designed pair and it was a match made in heaven. I can’t wait to pick them up today!!
The staff and the optometrist Glenn Bassett were professional. The young man that took care of our order was polite and efficient. I highly recommend Visionworks.

The Dr. Was also very knowledgeable and open to any questions.Store: the staff at the store were also very friendly, helpful, and patient with us as we made our glasses selection.Overall we were very satisfied with our visit!
Have been going here for a while and had the worst experience today. Front staff was clueless and new female eye doctor was unprofessional and very rude. I will definitely not be going back there.
Great first experience with the vision visit...... horrible Waite time and communication! They told me everything would be ready between the 24-26th of the month. I called on the 31st asking and they said “well did you get a text?”..... no but you said it would get ready and the trial contacts are glued to my eyeballs so I think it should be time. They told me that my glasses were ready (where was my damn text!) but my contacts will take longer. They then asked “did you pay for them?” ..... of course I did!!!! They don’t let your order a year supply without signing your life away! We will see (or not see cause I won’t have eyes) if I ever get to pick up what I paid for........ To be continued
