I was stopped at the door by a maskless associate and told I can not enter without a mask. I would have gotten a mask but since he was not wearing one either I took my money elsewhere.

My experience was great for a last minute shopper going to the snow. Had everything I needed plus things I didnt know I needed. Great price. The guy who helped me out was nice as well.

After I purchased my shoes and I was walking out that loud 🔊 beep beep beep beep and how everyone in the store looking at me like Im a criminal and I paid for the items already just the split second they realize that they are at fault for not removing I think they already thought I was stealing because i had a return in a bag and they guy asked me to leave it at register till we decide on if my gf wanted shoes or slides in exchange I think that is the last time Im be buying at big 5 reason being I experienced similar appearance biased practices in hollisters big 5 so it might be how they get down

When I entered 4 employees were standing around laughing and talking. I asked about the sale on slippers, the price posted was $59,and was told the sale ended on Saturday. We called the Hollister store and was told it ended on Dec 12th. I asked why the had a sale and not Gilroy, based on that comment they checked the price and sure enough they were on sale for $34. No one made any effort to help us in any way. I mentioned they may sell more if the sale price was posted and was told they were too short staffed to keep up. I will never shop in the Gilroy store again,they were lazy and rude.

Wonderful, polite and helpful service. The workers here helped me find what I was looking for. There was a mistake or two, but thats fine. They did their job well and I found a product I was happy with. If I need a replacement or something else in the near future, Ill be sure to swing by and pick one up. Do keep up the good work and good customer service.

Found a great pair of womens hiking shoes at a reasonable price.

Almost 8:00pm on a Saturday night with light rain and a bit chilly. I was out on the town when work called. Big 5 was just what the doctor ordered, I needed a light jacket, good flashlight, and decent pair of boots on the fly. Along with a couple more little items I was out the door without breaking my wallet and service was friendly and helpful. Nice assortment of outdoor and workout equipment too!

For being in the awkward location its actually a really good Big 5 if you dont mind all the homeless you could find some really good deals here

Nice to finally get a sporting goods store in Gilroy. Just like any other Big 5. They have a large selection of sporting goods, camping equipment, guns, shoes, work out clothes and much more. The customer service is excellent. Location is great. Its in the Gilroy Plaza shopping center next to Round Table Pizza, Safeway, Goodwill. They have daily deals if you sign up for their email

I have shipped here more and more recently. My family likes the clothing and their unique quirky items at times.The staff is excellent .

Smaller than most other Big 5 stores, but still nice. Like any place, you gotta search out the best deals. This particular store is brand new, just opened a few months ago. Staff is a little bit green still, but willing and helpful.

Great! Had just what I was looking for and the staff to show me exactly where it was, courteous and friendly!

Bought a pair of shoes and a pair of boots there. The staff tried to help but wasnt really informed on the difference in the soles. ( as in what terrain the shoes were meant for. ) Afterwards I went to Sketchers for the ol lady and the same shoe was twenty five dollars less. (Now I know, it pays to look around. It would have saved me 25$ to have spent a quarter in gas.
