I was looking for minus five stars but didnt find it. But one star is the lowest possible rating. My daughter called me from Glassboro with her car acting up. We live 40 miles from there. She didnt feel comfortable driving it home to our local honest and competent mechanic. I recommend Pep Boys because it might be pricey but they would get her in and out of there quickly. Or so I thought.They gave her an appointment at 11 AM Tuesday. So far so good. They charged her $179 to diagnose a misfire. Then the car sat there all day...and the next day, all day. A scheduled appointment turned into a 3 day ordeal. If she had known it was going to be dragged out she could have rented a car. Instead with nobody telling her anything she literally had to stay overnight thinking it was going to be repaired. On Thursday they told her the parts were not in. She finally had it and in spite of feeling unsafe limped the car home to our mechanic. They fixed her car same day for $100 less than Pep Boys estimate.The icing on the cake is our guy found something else wrong, that Pep Boys missed, got the part and still fixed it for$100 less. Without a doubt the worst customer experience from a mechanic shop ever. I would rather take my car to the old drunk working in his barn than ever go to Pep Boys.

Came here a month ago to get an oil change and the guy at the desk, Andrew, told me that next oil change I would need new front brake pads. Came in today without an appointment as soon as I started to hear my brakes grind. They took care of me right away and gave me a good price and they were busy too. So honest which is a huge change from when I took my car to a smaller shop. Kyle the mechanic did a good job and took care of my car. Deff gonna be coming back for more oil changes and for other services

Avoid this place by all means if you looking to get your car repair. The manager he wasn’t interested in changing my tire. He felt that he would be reliable if he scratch the rim. He also wanted me to sign a waiver if any damage was done to my rim. This place I wouldn’t suggest going to. I ended up going to Mr. Tire who acknowledged me as a valuable customer and had no problem changing my tire.

Not only have I left without an oil cap not on. But Terrible service!! No apology for the oil all over my engine or the waste of time I had to endure, TWICE! I will not be back! Schedule an appointment and want to make you wait 2 hours for a 15 minute oil change? What’s the point of an appointment?? You should advertise drop only! SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND AGGRAVATION — GO TO MAVIS!!

Should be a zero star rating. 1 star would be for very bad service and work. For me, nothing happened. My experience was more like a foggy dream, or the most boring Twilight Zone episode. Dropped the van off for estimate and received no follow up. I called throughout the day. No answer. Finally got someone on the phone (after about 30 rings and then being put on hold for awhile). My car is the next thing theyre looking at. 2 hours later, with no response, not wanting to leave my vehicle overnight, I went back. Saw my van, untouched or moved. No one at service counter. Not sure that anyone was even working in the store. Waited at the empty counter for awhile. Eventually someone showed up, not to work the counter, they were just passing by. I asked for my key back. Took my van and drove away. Like the whole thing never happened. Was it a dream? Is this Pep Boys like Brigadoon? A place that exists for a brief moment in time and space? Except instead of a quant village it is an empty auto parts store in a Glassboro strip mall. This was an empty experience of zero. Nothing. Did it happen? Maybe I am living an eternity in that Pep Boys and the rest of my life is a dream. 1 star is not fair. Zero stars, Glassboro Pep Boys is Purgatory.

Avoid this place! First off, no one in this store wears masks, including the manager. The shop told me to replace my headlight bulb which is an HID. I told them while they were at it to replace both. I pay, go out to my car and the headlight was still out. They claimed it was daylight out so they couldnt see the headlight was still out. They also said it was blowing fuses so it must be an electrical issue. They had a specialist come out and look who said the electrical was fine but the headlight needed a new ballast. So Im not sure why they said anything about it blowing fuses.The shop should have told me about the ballast when they attempted to put the bulb in. If the ballast went, it wouldnt have worked at all, even after they replaced the bulb. They never tested it and told me my car was good to go. When I went back in and told them the light was still out they called the mechanic and asked if the job was done and I could clearly hear him say no, before he walked away and continued talking. There was no reason they should have had me come pick the car up when it wasnt fixed. Then they wanted to charge more than my dealer wanted for the new ballast + labor. I told them Im taking it to the dealer so they said they would just leave my headlight on my seat. Im never going to Pep Boys again.

Horrible service. Just wanted to get a tire repaired. Got in 8am. One person before me it took 10 minutes before the service attendant even spoke to me. No clue what he was doing and there were several other people in the service area. No problem thought it might because they just opened. The attendant said it might take an hour for my car. I told him I would wait. (Mind you there is only one customer here). I walked to the supermarket a half mile away. Shopped carried all my groceries back. And hour and half later. They had not even looked at my car. Told that’s okay I’ll go somewhere else. And they could not find my keys. They found them but truly horrible service. I work in sales and if I treated customers like this I would not have a job. I wish could give Zero stars.Update**. I emailed and called Pep Boys about this issue six months ago. No one ever got back to me. I will Never patronize Pep Boys again.

Went in for an oil change. They lost my wind shield wiper cap and made ME pay for a new one. So I left and went to Auto Zone instead to purchase. On top of it, I asked if someone at PepBoys could take a look at my car to make sure there was no other caps missing. They insisted that everything was fine without looking at it. Won’t be taking my car there anymore. They just wanted to get me out of there rather than help me feel secure about my vehicle.

This place is a joke. I called a day before my appointment to set a 12PM appointment. I got pushed into a 10AM appointment and I accepted it because they explained the 12P would take me longer. Guess what? Got there at 1015 AM for them to not even touch my truck at 1130AM. I could understand if I walked in I am owed nothing. Literally nothing. But if I call in and ask for a time and get told to take another just to wait even LONGER then theres a problem.

Called to ask about a getting a tire patched/plugged due to nail. They happily took us in same day and let us know that this may run into tomorrow which was fine. We get the call to pick up the vehicle, free of charge they said, everything is all set to go. Our mistake for not looking at the tire or asking for a receipt of the service. We figured ehhh its a small job they did it.... Turns out the service was never performed, next day tire was flat and to our surprise the nail was still in the tire. We call back and get a very rude representative that did not want to accept the fact that they did not do the job nor apologized one time. Simply tried to pin the fault on us like we were supposed to patch the tire ourselves. Terrible customer service and will never be coming here for anything again. Will be complaining to corporate as this has ruined our plans to go out on new years day due to a flat that was supposedly fixed.

They will do the work well and the workers are friendly, but they WILL take your money wherever they can. My roommate and I have both had tires replaced here and both of us were charged for insurance on those tires that we were not asked about and did not agree to paying for. I scheduled an oil change and selected online the cheaper brand of oil, then when I paid after the service had been completed I saw on my receipt that they used and charged me for the more expensive premium oil. I’ve had no problems with the work they’ve performed but you have to watch them like a hawk if you don’t want to be cheated.

Went there for a patch job on my tire. Was told I needed rear breaks and roters and 2 new tires. My first issue was when I was on the phone with them, I tried explaining that the price online at their pepboys website was over $150 price difference. I said I could schedule the appointment online and it’s coming up an extremely different price. The guy was rude and told me it wouldn’t go through. He also tells me that my rear breaks and roters need to be replaced immediately as they are metal to metal. I am a mom of 3 small kids (with car seats in my car) he told me it was extremely unsafe for me to drive like this. I got a second opinion on the breaks and roters only to find out THEY DIDNT NEED TO BE REPLACED AT ALL! They were perfectly FINE! I explained to the guy I couldn’t afford all of this right now so he kept pushing me to open a credit card which I’m so grateful I denied. How dare they try to take advantage of a woman with kids in the middle of a pandemic and try to get me to spend hundreds of dollars that I didn’t have. SHAME ON YOU. Such a DISGRACE.

I stopped by because my tire was going flat I had to wait a bit becuase they were BUSY they looked at my tire and it ended up being the side wall on the tire unrepairable so they put my spare on and on my way I went!!! They were kind and VERY Courteous!!!

The management and the PepBoys Team in all the departments are what you call highly experienced professionals when dealing with All types of vehicles and all types of customers. I highly recommend this PepBoys automotive shop over anyone in the south Jersey area. Thank you to the Management and staff for always helping our family with our vehicles. If I could give them 20 stars I would. I went in to get a quote for a fan bracket replacement and was quoted over $1000 for job. Obviously I didnt get the work done when I could get the part for 90 bucks and replace it myself, so thats what I did, I bought the part for 95 dollars and purchased the belt for $60.00. As I was in the middle of changing my bracket and bracket replacement my daughters vehicle was ready to be picked up from this PepBoys for 2 front light replacements. It was a little pricey but I dont mind paying those hard working Mechanics. But my daughter drove her vehicle home and the headlights went out in the first few days. I called PepBoys and was told we would have to pay for the headlights and the labor again which is way over 300 dollars. Of course I was a little confused and didnt understand why the clerk couldnt just run a diagnostic to see what the real issue was instead of just roughly saying its just gonna cost me and my daughter the full price again instead of finding out what the real issue was. I proceeded to contact the customer support at the highest level of the PepBoys organization and explain my daughters situation. Ive been dealing with this PepBoys for over 15 years with excellent service so I was a little hesitant to go above the PepBoys shop in Glassboro but I gave them my run down of the situation. With in 5 minutes the Manager called me from PepBoys in Glassboro and said just bring it in and we will find out the real problem. I have to say there is no warranty on the head lights so he didnt have to do anything. But this gentleman even went above and beyond by telling me to bring in my Nissan Armada, along with my Daughters Chevy Malibu. He fixed my daughters vehicle and fixed my Nissan Armada by only charging us labor. PepBoys in Glassboro, you have my utmost respect and my family and I will always be a returning customer with always being a true advocate to your business. Tried to charge me $1900 to fix my truck which was overheating intermittently. Got it fixed down the street for $94 (thermostat). I already knew what was wrong so I saw the scam coming a mile away. Nosy tech insisted on knowing what I was going to do when I declined the work. To get him off my case I told him Id probably sell it as is. He immediately offered to buy it from me. Beyond unethical. I can only wonder how many people hes successfully duped into selling their vehicles for way less than theyre worth by diagnosing fake problems?

Brad was amazing when I went and got my tire fixed. Honestly, I don’t usually recommend or prefer Pep Boys because of previous situations but I came to them when everything was closed and stumbled upon Brad and he took care of me. I recommend you speak with him and get your stuff done. He is moral guy and will make sure your car is serviced and not messed with!

I am not much of a mechanic, but Pep Boys makes it easy to get the service and equipment I need to get my car running like new. The management team is top notch and really cares/takes care of their customers. I have been going here for regular maintenance as well and have never had an issue. Tried to stop in for a quart of oil after dinner down the street. Store posting and online states store is supposed to be open until 8. Door was locked at 7:55. 2 kids, probably about 17/18, standing there watching me trying to come in. Nice to see these employees make there own hours. I was in last week because my brakes were making an unusual noise and needed to be replaced in the end. The guys were shorthanded and did whatever they could to make me comfortable while I waited for my car to be worked on. They thanked me up and down for my patience, and I was super impressed with their professionalism with me and all the other customers who came in and out in the hours while I was there. This Pep Boys location is one of their best stores. All the employees are very helpful and kowledgeable. I go there about 4 times per month. I went there today to buy a battery for my lawn tractor. Brandon and Evan helped me pick out the right battery and explained the warranty. I have never had a bad experience at this store. The manager Stan is also very friendly, professional, and helpful. All answered at inside customer service counter and shop service counter. Purchased wiper blades w/free installation, made appointment for battery purchase and free installation, because l had to leave. But all is taken care of with all discounts and warranties. Brought the car in for a engine light that would not go off and failed inspection. Throughout entire process 3 times I asked is it inspected and was told yes 3 times! Son picks up car and not inspected. I left a call for the manager Saturday and still no return call Monday. I just called again and was told the car is inspected but not state inspected it was Pep Boys inspected. If the car goes in for a inspection failure and you ask 3 times is it inspected it would go without saying it needed State inspection. Also, why doesnt the manager return calls?Update: The check engine light came on again today and they repaired for no charge

My father in law went in for service on his van the other day and I have to give the gentleman credit! He is an older gentlemen, not always patient and often loud in his opinions. Normally after a visit to a mechanic there are many complaints. This time however he is very happy with the service he received. The gentlemen that helped him took the time to explain everything didn’t try to get him to do anything he didn’t want to do. He did make some suggestions for some routine maintenance that through conversation had not been done gave him a price and did not pressure him. Thank you Jack for your patience you saved us a lot of headaches!

Nice staff. Very helpful. Ive been going there for years for small parts, oil etc. The service station hasnt been my favorite place. Had some issues a few years ago that required me to take it back five times...literally. Once again the service department staff was nice and figured out the problem eventually. My vehicle has a lot of upgrades and custom work done, so I prefer to take it to specific technicians who deal with that kind of thing.

What happened to this shop? Service used to be accurately timed. I am still currently waiting for completion of brakes, rotors and brake fluid. Dropped my car off at 8am on the dot, they said they needed to order a part and it would be in around 2pm, which is completely fine. I called at 4 pm and received a the tech is working on it now, hes almost done. Its now almost 6pm and still nothing. Its a good thing I didnt need to be anywhere today because Ive been car-less for almost 10 hours. This will be the LAST time I ever come to this shop.

Time estimates are never accurate at the Glassboro Pep Boys. I pull into the parking lot and see only two cars being serviced. I think okay cool Ill get right in and right out, all I need is an oil change. I walk to the counter and the teller asks me if Im okay with leaving the car for an hour. I agree, go get lunch across the street, pick up a couple things at the K-Mart and return over an hour later. I havent received the job completion alert phone call yet so I assume theyre finishing up. The car isnt even pulled in! if it is was a more complicated job or if I came at a busy time I could understand a bit of a discrepancy in the time estimate. This is an oil change though!Pep Boys, if you cant do an oil change in an hour or less, dont. I have little patience for my time being wasted on my dollar.Normally I do my own oil changes but my jack broke.

I am in the USAF and was on my way to work and had car problems. Little did I know at the time that it was a HUGE problem. The guys at Pep Boys helped me right away and SAVED MY LIFE!!! You couldnt ask for a greater group of people. Kind, considerate, and very knowledgeable which inturn, had me back out on the road quickly and feeling very SAFE after their true PROFESSIONALS looked at and solved my car issue(s). From the Manager to the shop (service) worker, not to forget to mention their AWESOME customer service at the counter. I would also like to say thank you again to the Glassboro Police Department. This is my go to place for car stuff, but I always walk away thinking I should find a new place. Most of my frustration revolves around pricing and checkout which is rarely manned. The pricing in the weekly flyer never seems to be correct and the staff has to go through gyrations to make it work.

I had new tires, an oil change, and a wheel alignment done to my vehicle at this location. A couple of issues popped up while my vehicle was there. I understand things happen with employees and old vehicle parts that do not want to cooperate. The gentlemen at the service counter went out of their way and they were great in correcting these issues.

I recently shopped here and the customer service was excellent, the assistant store manager there was amazing not only was polite but she also made sure I had everything I needed for my diy oil change. I will be shopping here again !!!!

They were nice took me with out appointment for an oil change . When i arrived they were pulling a car out they said i was next . I told them i wanted synthetic oil they gave me a blend i knew immediately when I looked at my bill on my way out to my car . So i turned around went back in and the counter person said he was sorry he didnt hear synthetic. But dont worry your car is made for.the blend . I went back to my car so mad .i just got in and left . I live literally 10 minutes from the place . No hub cap . The car is an 07 i had to replace first time last year . Rt 55 pothole got me . So i called the next dayAnd they said let us run the security video. I had to call them again and was told it was on when you were leaving. But since you called so early we will replace it for you 🤔🤔. I ended up just buying off of Amazon and calling it a lesson. Also they never filled my washer fluid . Or never checked tire pressure. . As I said lessons learned.

When i first read the other reviews I was worried. We dropped our vehicle off the day before. They called early the next day to make sure of everything we needed done. Then they called again to tell us what needed fixed. Very polite even when I asked for them to check other things on our vehicle. We were very pleased with our experience there.

Manny is the man.... he made sure I had my car back in the right type of way for me to get my job done which requires alot of driving. He even stayed later to make sure I got it back the same day...hes awesome

Painful, repairs were estimated at 3 hours, arrived at 10 am. Waited in town till after 7pm (9 hours!!!). The only solace that I was rewarded was no increase in labor from the quoted price. Most of the technicians are children right out of school supervised by a single mechanic (More likely to ruin half of what they touch). I would rather run my vehicle into the ground than visit this shop a second time. If arson was legally viable I would have taken that road with a wide grin. As I Publish this review, I am still waiting for the completion of said job. Rear brakes and front driver side wheel bearings takes 9 hours... NEVER AGAIN. In addition to this review I will be contacting management. I am appalled. The End.

I really hate writing bad reviews but this is two bad experiences in a row. Made an appointment a couple months ago to have work done on a jeep and when I brought it in I was told by Brad idk when Ill get to it..despite making an appt. Then was told Itd be done in two days. I called them on the third day and the tech didnt even know what vehicle I was talking about. When he finally found it he said it wasnt processed correctly and they basically hadnt touched it. Says Itll be done in two more days...it wasnt..long story short a two day job ended up taking over a week causing me to lose money from work and upsetting my own customers because every time I gave them a day it got pushed back. When I talked to Brad about this he said I dont know what to tell you. No apology or anything. So I sucked it up and didnt write a bad review. Then recently I brought a car in with a serious acceleration issue and Brad was arrogant once again telling me its probably just the normal built in lag on that model and twice suggested that Im over exaggerating how bad the issue is. Then told me to take it to the dealer. Didnt even want to look at it. Myself, my family & friends have been bringing our vehicles here for two decades. Not happening again.

The worst Pepboys ever! I recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation (which is automatically included). Little did they know that I marked my tires before I went in. I had a scheduled appointment that day and guess what? I waited for almost two hours! when it was done, I went home and inspected my car, and the tires werent rotated at all! I called their manager Mike Dickel and complained about how unsatisfactory their services were, his solution? have me come back and have the tires rotated! are you kidding me? thats ridiculous! I told him I will not be coming back anymore - thats my solution. So, two-thumbs down for customer satisfaction.

Stan The Man Garrison! This isnt just a nickname, he IS the man. He bends over backward to keep you as a customer. No better feeling in the world than coming across a guy that makes sure youre hooked up. If they dont have it in stock, theyll get it for you. Price matching and even, beating is offered. Auto Zone and Advanced are not as comprehensive as this Pep Boys. Its all about service to Stan and thats reason enough to patronize on the regular.

Terrible customer service over the years. The staff is very unprofessional and I normally leave. Ive gone to a branch the next town over and always have a better experience. I try this store because its close, but I seem to always have the same negative experience. I have quotes from them on the phone & when i get to the store I end up with a higher price or they dont have a part they told me they had. I ask for pricing for tires & I get a much higher price than my research online.Only when I question them about it, then they offer me a lower price.These are just a few of my bad experiences with Pep Boys in Glassboro.

I brought my car in for some brake replacements, and by the time I drove back home to Connecticut, all of the new parts were totally warped and smoking! Ive been trying for about 2 weeks now to get a refund, and Im getting nowhere. Very unfortunate. Im very disappointed with the service.

I needed a tire replaced on my Altima. I scheduled it the day before and told them id be waiting there while the work was being done. Almost an hour goes by and they havent even moved my car yet. So I ask for an ETA and Jack at the service desk tells me he cant give me one and tells me to be patient. But what I really heard from him from his tone was, I really dont care and we dont need your money. Then he looks suprised when i ask for my keys back. Pep boys needs to step it up over there. I dont think its unreasonable to expect my tire changed after an hour if i schedule the apt. If they cant do that they got bigger problems over there. I hope for their sake it was just bad luck/a bad day
