Called with some questions on a rebuild and got lots of great advice from Ken. Super friendly and helpful. Definitely want to take my engine here for a rebuild.
Great place to trust your builds. Lots of knowledge lots of experience. Very professional.
I have 50+years in automotive. Ken has very educational videos that teach me sme things that have been a mystery for years. Thanks Ken
Fantastic experience! I called around after not being able to get a hold of the machine shop Ive used in the past, and found Ellison online. The owner asked what I needed done, the vehicle, and a few other things to get an idea of what the job would entail. I dropped off my cylinder head and deposit, and was called the next day as promised. The owner, despite having a very busy shop, took time and spoke with me about my intentions with the car, and pointed out other high fail items I should consider replacing. (Which in no way was beneficial to his pocket, as i was doing the mechanical work myself.) Ive been an ase certified mechanic for 25 years, and have run into very few shops/ owners, with the attention to detail and professionalism Mr Ken Ellison showed me. Highly recommend this place to anyone with machine shop needs.
Ken did a great job.I dropped off a set of cylinder heads and he cleaned them, pressure tested them, and checked the heads to make sure they werent warped. They were ready in no time and I got my truck back up and running quickly.
I live in Missouri had a question about an engine because his videos are great. Great information I called him he THANKED ME !for calling. I was asking him about AMC 304 told me what he knew about 304s off the hot of his head. Answered my question.Thank you Ken 👍
GREAT MACHINE SHOP! KEN IS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. WILL CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM
Couldnt ask for a better machine shop, Ken is a stand up guy with no run around. Nothing but amazing work from here. Keep up the good work guys!
Very well spoken professional individual that takes pride in his profession. Cant explain enough how grateful I am to have found his skill an passionate workmanship.
Never had any dealings with Ellison Machine Shop. But I could listen to Ken for hours talking about motors / engines and what goes into building a motor
Awsome as Usual!!!
Ken with Ellisons Machine is AWESOME!I typically dont leave reviews unless its absurd or outright bad,but I had a great impression from the get-go when I spoke to Ken on the phone about my needs with my Honda B18C, and crankshaft.I had come to them, because I bought a block with rusty bores, a crummy headgasket surface and the crankshaft needed to be cleaned up.I wasnt sure how to approach the situation and I was on a very limited budget (which he kept in mind the entire time)- we discussed the route to take, and kept in communication with me the entire time.I think the big difference between me as a customer, and the other negative reviews, are that I treated him as a professional, and gave him the trust to work with me, which, is something I noticed isnt a common thread between other reviews. He kept me in the loop with what was going on, what services were required, and in the end I was extremely happy with the motor I got back from them.-Hot tanked-Honed cylinders-resurfaced deck-tanked again-polished crank-measured for bearingsSuper friendly and helping. Very professional.
I want to give them 0 star but they don’t have it. They did my valves wrong. I aked for a responsibility but they jusy don’t care. I had to pay them $600 for my head jobs and another $1000 to find and fix their problem. I would just stay from this place.
I will be coming back for future machine work. I brought a problem to them and in a few hours they had it all fixed and ready to go.
Edit Review - Thanks your work is awesome
The finish on my heads was horrible all guy at the counter did was complain how much he had to take off of them. And it wasnt much! Had to finish job they started
Great guy!!!!!!
