I had an appointment for 11a, and waited. 2.5 hours later they didnt even pull the car in and its for an oil change and coolant flush. Their service tracking link say it could be up to you 7p to pickup. We do not lives nearby to wait that long. We left and they couldnt careless. Real poor service attitude.

I love this store. Pep Boys is a wonderful Auto parts store. Many Moe.and Jack was one of the best Auto parts stores to go to in the 1970s not only for auto parts, but for mini bikes, go carts, bikes, Lawnmowers, you name it, pep boys was and still is one of the best places to purchase your automotive needs, and you can not beat the great prices.

Firstly, The front desk person acted like she knew nothing about cars when I asked her a few questions, yet I saw her working on cars while waiting. My appointment was 10am, its almost 3pm and I am still waiting. Secondly, they have a service to drop you to your house but not bring you back to the store( thats good service there). Poor hygiene a d sanitizing of the bathroom and waiting areas. The bathroom is unisex and has not been cleaned in what is visually a long time. Additionally, there are flies all over the waiting areas in these covid times. No refreshments in the waiting area since you are stuck waiting 3+ hours. I forgot, it took someone 20mins to come to the front desk . I have been to 2 other pep boys and never this poor service and/or Length of wait. I think I will go back to one of the others even though they are further away .

We come here for everything that we can. They have wonderful customer service and they do a great job on all our vehicles.This might sound weird, but I always feel safe after they work on our cars. I dont worry that something might go wrong. Cant say that for other places weve gone.This location is awesome!

If no stars were an option. It would best fit. I called an made an appointment to be here at 4pm. I arrived 15 minutes early. I was told it would be a 1 hour to 1 1/2. Its not 635pm. I am still in the service department, still waiting for 2 tires to be put on. Watching the man work, is painful. He moves very slow. I had to use the restroom and it was dirty and no toilet paper. I talked to the man at the front he said thats the only restroom. I told him it was dirty and not toilet paper.. He had to search for toilet paper.. He came back and put it in the bathroom and no attempt to clean. I saw another worker came in and use the bathroom and he didnt even watch his damn hands. Disgusting. I will look else where for better service

I visited on May 26 to purchase and install 4 tires. I had to ask for an alignment, which is usually highly suggested. Upon completion I overheard the technician state the area for my spare tire is broken and they couldn’t replace it so they bagged it and left the spare in my trunk. I didn’t question it as he possibly could’ve been telling the truth. I paid for the service and started to walk out. I went back to the counter to ask if I can add road hazard. I was told it was too late since I already paid. So I sit in the parking lot and call the district manager’s phone number on the receipt. No answer so I leave a voicemail. My phone call was never returned. Fast forward to today, I miraculously ran into the roadside service guy that changed my flat. I asked him if my tire was zip tied or broken when he removed it. He said no. Asked if he could take a look. He replaced my spare tire where it belongs with ZERO issues. So pepboys was just to lazy to put it back. After all this I would NEVER return. That’s just ridiculous. I want to spend more money with you but am told it’s too late. Then I’m blatantly lied to about something on my car being broken???

Google said they opened at 730am so I got here 720am than notice a sign at knee hight that had store hours say 8am than when in here they were nice and all the car I brought in was a lyft/hertz rental and they had to wait for approval from hertz and that was 930am now here it is 1215pm and ac was busted in withing area and no sodas in the refrigerator to buy near the cashier and for someone that is diabetic like me and sweating my sugar is dropping to hot out side to walk anywhere not happy with the wait so update now its 140pm still wait the guy working on my car stopped to buy tools off the tool truck and than worked on other cars really now happy

I got new tires from them. They did not help at all in tire selection process. They said they will get it done in two hours. But my car was there for more than a day without any notice to me that my car will be there overnight. The staff are not professional. Definitely will not go back to this place!

I gave 1 star only because I had to. I brought my work truck in for 4 new tires and a alignment. I was told it would take 1 1/2 hours. I was the only vehicle in the shop it took the guy 4 1/2 hours to put the tires on I have never seen someone move so slow in my life. After painfully watching this from the lobby they told me they couldnt perform the alignment. I asked why they didnt tell me that before they installed the tires and that it was now going to destroy them just like the ones they took off they shrugged it off as not their problem. I will never go to another pep boys.

Many auto service places do shady business. Heres what this Pep Boys did. They charged me $10+ even after everything was paid online, tires, alignment, taxes... Their excuse is that on their side there is still this charge that has to be paid. The manager tries to tell me that this happens a lot with online orders and thats why they dont recommend online ordering. So I was supposed to know Pep Boys online orders dont work properly? And that they will charge more after the service is done? Very bad customer service skills as well. After a few minutes of going back and forth I ended up paying but they didnt appreciate the customer enough to not make me pay it even after its their fault. Be careful, I definitely wont ever go to Pep Boys anymore.

Took them 6 + hours to put on tires. I watched everyone else leave before me and I never saw my car. Then a worker who has his own shop comes by and assures me. Then two seconds later I see the workers finally pull out my car in the last hour I was sitting there. When I finally get my car it takes another 15 minutes to test drive. I find blood all over the steering wheel. The worker had no gloves on and was rubbing it on my seat as well. When I called corporate it took a month or two for them to get back to me and tell me they cant do anything for me. Dont go to pep boys if you value yourself as a person.

Great service. Good deal on tires for 2 vehicles. Fast and friendly..a bit cold in waiting lounge. I had a travel blanket from my truck that helped. I passed 8 other tire places to go here so Im please with the deal, tire quality, and service.

Should really be 0 stars. Poor customer service! I made an appointment at 11am to have 2 tires replaced. I arrived on time and was told it would be 2 hours max. My car wasnt taken in until 2:45pm. Wasted my day completely. On top of that, I had told them to rotate the 2 existing tires left and right. But when I checked, it wasnt done. I went back and talked to the mechanic, but he didnt care. He told me to come back another day or wait even longer. Would have taken him 10 minutes tops. I wont be doing back. Ill spend my money elsewhere.

I first am grateful to the Pepboys Mechanic by the name of Skyler. Long hair soft spoken male who assisted me installing my battery today during his lunch break. To explain; I woke up this morning to find I could not start my Ford Transit Connect cargo van. So I jumped started it and zoomed to Pepboys. I went to service to buy a new battery and have them install it, which is a free service. Service agent at front desk informed me it would take 4 hours before they could get to it. I could not wait as I had to be in DC in 2 hours today for a contracted event. I bought the battery and went to install it myself. How hard could it be, right! When I found the old battery I about pooped a brick. It was tucked away under the dash. It was very difficult to reach. Skyler saw me and walked out with a 10mm socket in hand and assisted me. He taught me how to remove the airfilter unit to access battery for removal. Once the terminals were removed and the security bracket was removed the side wall could be moved out of the way to slide out battery. Damn you Ford! He did most of the work and got me on my way. He also inspected new battery and found it to be faulty as it was corroded around terminals and told me to exchange it before installing it. Again, thank you Skyler and Merry Christmas! You saved me contract today.

What I dont understand is. I have a Hertz car he tells me I cant make appointment I have to be here to get a oil change. I go to bubbas have lunch was at pep boys at 12 its now about to be 2 p.m my car has not been touched. I need to work to make money cause lyft takes 250 a week out for the car. You have this new thing tells you when your car is getting worked on when it will be done and it has not moved for 2 hours. I have to leave cause I need to make money for myself. Just wasted 2 hours sitting here. I dont understand why I cant are appointment and come back. He says I cant do that.

I made an appointment for 12:30pm on a Thursday. Drop my car off to head back to work. I choose the Glen Burnie location because I work in the area. I thought I could go back to work and pick my car up when I got off. I had the text notifications on to track progress. At 4:30pm when I got off I check the text before heading to pick up my car. At 4:30 pm my car was still not ready and I only dropped it off to have a tire replaced and rotation. When I asked at 4:30pm when my car would be taken in they told me it would be another 45 mins before they pulled the car in shop. They had cars in and were servicing the people who stay and waited while the cars were worked on but didnt replace my tire even when the text said my car would be ready by 5pm. Ive never had such bad customer service or communication because if you knew the car wouldnt be ready by five which is what the text tracker said why not call the customer and let them know.

Picked up my car yesterday after an $1100 repair, and discovered a large scrape/dent in the driver side door, that wasnt there when I dropped it off. Went back in to let them know. One of the employees let me know that when the manager came in today, that they would look at the security camera footage to see if it shows what happened, and then would call me. The call never came today. I am extremely frustrated right now. My main reason for getting the repairs done was to get the car ready to sell, and now I cant sell it in its current condition and I cant afford to fix it. Needless to say, we will no longer bring our vehicles to this location.

Stop there to make an appointment to get my oil change because I had a 30% off online coupon. The young lady behind the counter made the appointment for the next day, and she told me to go ahead and make the appointment online also so I can use my 30% off coupon. She told me it was just over $130 to get the oil changed, plus I would get 30% off the $130.ish original price. The next day I showed up to get my oil changed and the gentleman behind the counter told me it was well over $200 and with my coupon it would have cost me $147 and some change. I canceled the appointment and went to AAA in Glen Burnie and it only cost me $101. I also reported to the gentleman who told me he was a manager that his two female employers behind the counter, one tattoos on her arm, were using curse words. The one with the dark hair was dropping the F-bomb word. She was talking to a black gentlemen who works there, saying she was F-ing mad because she had to reprint the tickets all over again. Nice language Pep Boys coming from your employees in front of customers !!

Staff is great, and place is always clean. This isnt and in out kind of place. Its best to drop your vehicle off first in the morning, because it may take all day to get service down.They dont work purposely slow, its just they have a lot of customers, and work proficiently on each customers vehicle.

The ABS light illuminated on my truck and a wheel stud was slightly bent which needed to be replaced so I brought it to PepBoys. They fixed the wheel stud the same day but the ABS required a sensor from the dealer.After waiting another day for the repair I picked up my truck. As I started driving, the tire was making a sound that seemed to indicate something was loose. I took it back to PepBoys. They tried to tell me it was the metal shield by the brake that was loose. I said the sound was a heavy metal sound. Not a thin piece of loose sheetmetal sound. But they said it wasnt and would order a bolt to secure it.I drove away and after hitting another bump I knew it wasnt sheetmetal. I pulled over and after getting on the ground with a flashlight I saw the problem. It was the bolts on the brake caliper, they hadnt been tightened. I took the picture (posted) and went back and showed them. They secured the brake caliper and it was all better. I found the loose bolt laying on the ground with a camera light on the side of the road but they couldnt find it while on a car lift? Oh well, they fixed it and no other damage thankfully. The repeated trips back is more of the cause of my irritation than anything else.

I recently needed rims. Went here and they assumed they knew my exact size, well the offset. I continued to look look and look more . Ended up at Pep Boys in Laurel and low and behold a woman found the exact size I needed . Im back on the road. My offset wasnt 7.5 or 7 it was an 8 if the know it all would have allowed me to show him pic of the measurements on back of rim, I would have had my rims weeks before I did. But a Big Thanks to the lady at the Laurel Pep Boys..

Such an great place. I unknowingly picked the day if a big car show and was beyond shocked by how amazingly helpful this man was who helped me. Even though he was about to get off work he went way above and beyond helping me. I was there to get touch up paint for my dark green Cadillac I was having trouble matching it and even tried using the paint code with no luck. The man not only went to the isle to help find the correct color, he went outside (all while using a cane to walk) found it wasnt an exact match went all the way back in and got a different color and then all the way back to my car sprayed it to look absolutely perfect! I have never been treated so well in my life. He is the best example for excellent customer service I have ever seen! I recommend anyone go there for any car services.

My boyfriend had his car serviced here and they took HOURS to just put a tire on! We got so impatient that we decided to use my car and drive to see what was the hold up. Only to find his car still sitting in the EXACT same spot we left it UNTOUCHED! He went inside only to find out that no one knew his car was supposed to be serviced, how that happened we will never know, when they had his keys!! So obviously someone knew his car was to be serviced. After we resolved that it took about an additional hour to get the car back.Fast forward a couple weeks I also needed a tire, and because they have really good prices we went back, I dropped off my car and about 20 minutes later an employee called me letting me know I didn’t actually need a new tire and that mines could be patched. I was BEYOND GRATEFUL! She saved me alot of much money and made my day. My car took about a hour. Idk if it was because my boyfriend and I had different employees help us, but the customer service I received was great!Both of our cars are doing great and my tire pressure light no longer comes on!

I had The Worst Experience!!!I went in needing a fuse for my car.... the guy behind the counter, Doug, seemed more interested in his marker and his watch, then helping me. After about 20 minutes of him proving he Knows Absolutely Nothing About Cars, my issue was Still Not resolved. I was rushed and left to help myself. If you thinking of having an issue fixed at this location, my advice is dont do it and Run!. I brought my car to this location. I read mixed reviews about them online but thought I would give them a chance because sometimes reviews are unjustified. This was a horrible decision on my part. I wanted them to replace an alternator for my Volkswagen Passat. I bought a brand new Alternator myself and just need them for labor. I dropped my car at lunch time on a Friday. 24 hrs later, I still had not received a call as to how things were going with car. I called them a few hours later and was told that they were finishing up my car and it should be ready in an hr. I went there two hours after this conversation to pick up my car. I was told when I went to pick up my car that they could not fix my car. They did not call to tell me. I was angry and called a tow truck to tow my car to Volkswagen. I then noticed my car was leaking fluid. I called the rep to my car and he said that the leak happens while they were trying to change fluids in my car and it over spilled. I was not informed of this issue and had I not thoroughly inspected my car while it was being towed, I would not have noticed this issue. Finally they charged me $400 for labor even though the job was not complete. If I could give these guys half a star and not one, I would. Please dont waste your time, money at this place. Just Run, Please just Run!!!!

Sooo. The free ac diagnostic is BS!! Thats not real..2nd, I asked the guy how long it would take to run the diagnostic, he said he doesnt know it dependable on what they find. How long does it really take to hook the device to the car and get the codes?! Then, the fuy that was looking at my car, just got in his car and left, so now Im sitting outside in the heat and no one is doing anything with it!! SMH

I never write reviews on Google but I am honestly concerned about the experience my roommate and I had at this Pep Boy’s yesterday. I dropped my car off on Wednesday for an oil change around 1pm where I worked with a gentleman who didn’t seem all that together. He told me the car would be ready by 8pm same day. 8pm rolled around and I still heard nothing from the shop so I called. Whoever answered the phone sounded like they couldn’t put two words together to form a sentence, put me on hold for five minutes, only to pretty much yell at me and tell me my car wouldn’t be ready till tomorrow because they were too busy.Fine, so yesterday we pick up my car and drop my roommates car off after a very nice lady heard my experience and discounted down the oil change. Later that night when we went to pick her car up the same gentleman was at the register. He began taking nonsense at my roommate which made us feel uncomfortable so she asked the gentleman to please ring us up so we could leave. He then had “system problems” and had to move to a different register that wasn’t even open (someone else already shut it down while he was rambling). At that point I took my roommates keys and asked to speak to his manager or like literally anyone else in the store. He said yes but then mumbled about having to go back to the other register again. At this point something just wasn’t right about this guy so I demanded that he get another person to help us. Someone else came out and after about five more minutes they told us the oil change was on them. While my roommate and I were walking out of the store this gentleman then began to FOLLOW US for literally no reason- we had our keys, all our paper work, there was nothing else for us to discuss. I’ve never slammed a door in a persons face before but sir, do not follow me out to my car.I tell you this story because not only was this by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a pep boys but there is something very wrong and potentially dangerous with the employees who work here. Do not go to this pep boys, it’s not worth it.

I went there to have my brakes checked. Ultimately I had the rotors and the wheel bearing replaced. After I left, I noticed a rattling noise. I returned about 2 weeks later to have the AC condenser replaced and told them about the rattle. They claimed they could not find any noise and also that it would be a couple days to get the AC condenser. A couple days? They were aware of the condenser issue a full 4 days before the appointment. Whatever. When I left I immediately heard the ratting again and went directly to a Nissan dealership. Upon inspection they found that all the bolts on the caliper were backed out. None of them were tight. What if my brakes had failed because of a shoddy job at Pep Boys? Pep Boys obviously has non-skilled technicians working for them. Pep Boys also said my tie rods were bad. Nissan checked all tie rods and there is nothing wrong with them. Pep Boys rep said the tech doing the work on my truck was a MD State inspector. Really? He isnt very good at his job. I would avoid this store at all costs!

Update: Youll see that I was replied to by the owner with a request to reach out regarding this poor experience. Ive yet to hear anything back from them, this is a poor attempt and making it look like they care about the (lack of) service this location provides.Scheduled a 4PM appointment online a few days ahead for an oil change, tire rotation, and tire balancing. Got a call the morning of suggesting I bring it in early if possible.I dropped my vehicle off at 3:30pm(For my 4pm appointment), was told Id be called when it was complete.At 6pm I called to check the status of my car. 2 1/2 hours after my drop off time and no work had even started on my vehicle. When I asked for an ETA on when the work would start/be completed I was repeatedly told it would be done by 9pm (closing time) and they couldnt provide a time frame for the work to even start.At 6:45 I went to pick up my vehicle as I could not wait until 9pm to try to get a ride to pick up my vehicle. If I schedule a 4pm appointment I expect work to begin at 4pm. Why is there an option to schedule an appointment if work will not start for 3+ hours after drop off.The gentleman at the counter could not find my key for the first 10 minutes, the mechanic was walking around with it. My car had not moved from the spot I parked it and no work had begun. I requested my key back as the gentleman behind the counter and the mechanic mumbled back and forth to each other about my vehicle.I do not understand how this is in any way acceptable service and I will not be purchasing anything nor having any service done at this location or any other Pep Boys for that matter ever again.The blatant disregard of my appointment and the lack of any kind of true customer service was disappointing to say the least. The staff at this location did nothing but waste my time.I will happily pay more at another shop to have this simple maintenance performed despite Pep Boys lower price.

Can you do less than one star? Took my brand new wheels in to get them mounted and balanced on a new set of tires. Well, now there are chips all over the wheels and of course, theyre blaming the manufacturer. Will have to contact corporate. Wouldve been happy with a 100 gift card now Im going to see how much they are to repair at a rim shop.

Manager of this store is unprofessional. Gave incorrect information on the phone. Then tries to fix problem by offering a pep boys credit card to help me get a discount on the service he gave incorrect price on. Told me I can apply but dont have to use the card. Well not return to pepboys all because of this manager. TEAM MR. TIRE

If I could rate this 0 I would. Worst experience. Took my truck in because I was experiencing a wobble in my steering wheel. Knowing because of the Baltimore roads my front end was out of alignment and tires needed balancing. Explained this to the person at the counter. Drop my keys off and go back to work. 7 hours later I can finally get my truck and leave the store and still have a wobble. After calling the store back, they informed me they did not balance the tires. No idea why not, its what I needed done. They said I could bring it back for another $60 and probably wait another 7 hours. They also wanted to sell me new rotors and brake pads, Im only at 19,000 miles, wont need those for a few more thousand miles. That $400 sale was more important to them then fixing my actual issue.

Absolutely terrible. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be crap. If I had to pick two words, I would say crap twice. They dont keep appointments, and their mechanics dont know how to balance or inflate a tire, and they cant tell a good tire from bad.I had a 0800 appointment for a tire installation. As of 0850 my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I could handle that, if they had taken the time to do the work correctly, rather than give me a crap product. The same day my car started shaking at highway speed. I took the car to the dealership, who balanced three of the tires. They couldnt balance the fourth because the tire is bad. This tire is so bad that it has 50 ounces of balancing weights on it, and any mechanic should know that this tire shouldnt go on a car.Also, when I checked the pressure, every tire was inflated more than the manufacturer recommends and the four tires were all inflated to a different PSI.Im hoping the mechanics at the Pasadena Pep Boys honor the companys warranty and know how to balance a tire.
