The gentleman Charles, they called him chuck. He was super helpful and went above and beyond on helping us pick out our lovely couch and love seat in the clearance section. She showed us how it all worked and how to operate it. Thank you everyone was super friendly as well. Will definitely be shopping here again in the near future.
I was very pleased with the delivery of our new living room furniture. The delivery team arrived on time and managed to get our sectional and recliner into our home with no problem. The team was professional and swift to set everything up so that we could start to enjoy our new furniture. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
First non 2nd hand store I went to to find a dresser. After going to two other furniture stores in the area, I went back to VCF where I saw the dresser I initially wanted and subsequently purchased. Mr. Sung was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a good buying experience.

Mr. Sung Koo was the first sale rep to introduce himself and allowed me to walk around on my own which I appreciated, I hate to be pestered while shopping. When I did find what I was interested in Sung explained in detail about the sectional. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and I knew back in June I was going to purchase the sofa. While I didnt purchase until Sept, I called the store and made sure Mr. Koo received the credit for the sale because he earned it back in June with the service he provided.

I’ve been shopping at Value City Furniture for years for my furniture purchases. This particular occasion, I found my desired pieces at their Glen Burnie, MD location and an associate by the name of Janice Khyati assisted me. While I was able to make my mind up on one item, I needed to come home and take measurements before purchasing the 2nd item. I called Janice back within two days after taking the measurements and she remembered exactly who I was and added the 2nd item to my invoice. In my opinion, this is excellent customer service and I would recommend Value City for your future furniture needs. If you’re in the Glen Burnie, MD location, please ask for Janice.
After numerous trips to various furniture stores we ran in to Barbara and she definitely was a breath of fresh air! She was so helpful by looking up items for us … even when we over and over. She made us feel so comfortable - like we’ve known her for years. All in all, a great experience, thanks to Barbara!
My furniture is beautiful, and the price was fairly reasonable. Its the customer service that was awful. There were multiple delays in getting my furniture, and it came in just a couple of pieces at a time. Ok, fine. But not one phone call from them to tell me so. I found out I wasnt getting all of it at once from the delivery driver on the day of the first delivery. I called and got an estimated next delivery date. Nothing. I called again and got a new date. A couple more pieces. Called again. Maybe in June or July. Called again in August and they gave me my final delivery date.
Barbara Miller was really help and provided outstanding services when we were in the process of buying the furniture. She explained things in detail and guided us though the whole process and made shopping much easier. Value City is lucky to have an employee like her..
I went to the Glen Burnie location back in March 2021 to look for new furniture for my newly purchased home. Ms Barbara was the associate that assisted me and she was the absolute best. She was super duper patient and informative. She answered all of my questions and believe me, I asked several! Never once did I feel pressured or rushed into buying anything and that made a huge difference for me! She showed me so many different options and didn’t mind going back and forth to look at things twice and to be honest, three times for a couple of sets. I decided on the living room set and mattress I wanted to purchase and she walked me through the entire process!I also wanted to purchase a dining room set but was told it wouldn’t be in stock until July.I informed Ms Barbara that if I decided to purchase anything else, I would come back to this location to look for her!Best customer service ever! Had a great experience buying furniture at Value City Furniture. Jaison Grassel was our Home Furniture Consultant. He was very helpful with a pleasant attitude. Our buying experience was great. We havent received our furniture yet so I cant say how well they do with delivery. Once our furniture is delivered I will update my post. As of right now I will definitely shop there again.
If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would! Worse place to buy furniture and would never recommend this place. We bought a bedroom set 7 months ago and still have yet to receive a single piece of furniture. They kept extending the date we were supposed to get it. When they called us last week to move the date once again to next year March of 2022 we told them to forget it and just give us a refund. Now they are telling us it takes a whole month to get our refund back. I’m so tired of dealing with this place. Never again!!!
This was a good place to buy furniture it looked good and it was high but I think furniture is just high but out of all the places I went it was the best.
I realize things have changed since the pandemic but there is no excuse for not communicating changes in the delivery of my furniture. I called the store and spoke to 4 people who were useless and finally getting someone who basically said we dont have it and dont know when we might get it??? This comes after youve been holding on to my money and no one was even going to tell me? I shouldve listened to the friends I have who are still waiting for their furniture from this place. Dont bother you might not get your furniture at all

Value City Furniture is just what they say they are. Nice furniture at a reasonable price.One of the things I like about this store is that they dont follow you around and hound you about purchasing. We were greeted near the door and them roamed free. Our very kind saleswoman stopped by to check on is a few times and that was perfect.They have a clearance room which could use a little clean up. Even though the furniture in there isnt the best fixing up the room could do wonders to moving that merchandise.

My delivery date has been pushed back SIX times. Even after receiving a call to confirm delivery address and window. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever received.
I dont normally shop at this value city but Im glad I did. Mr Harris greeted my mom dad and I at the door. He was very informative explaining about what mattress that I needed for my dad and why I need to purchase the box spring also. He was very pleasant. I will be referring others to request him.
So my experience is alot like the other reviews who are waiting on their furniture with little to no communication. Like everyone else I realise things are different but why sell sofas that arent in stock and then make promises you cant keep. Because this company is glad to take your money and has little to care about after they have it. I will never patronize this business again.

Set us up with our delivery and protection plan and knew we were coming from an hour away and still stuck around and waited for us!! We will see him next year for our dining room set!!!

The WORST ever!!! My husband and I ordered our furniture in May of 2021, with a delivery date of August 7, 2021. No phone calls from the store to let us know what time the delivery was to be made. After several calls throughout that week, we were told it WOULD be delivered on the 7th. I decided to call the day before delivery and was told the furniture will NOT be available until November 10th!!! Unacceptable service!! Would not have known any of this had I not called to check delivery time.

Very few and far between do I leave reviews but only am I leaving one today because I had such a great encounter with the sales manager Ashley at this location. I ordered a sectional in March and it was delivered today (no surprise covid has slowed everything down). I was super frustrated to see that the wrong color/material couch was delivered especially after waiting about 4 months for it. I called up value city as soon as I could and spoke with Ashley and I can say that our conversation was the smoothest conversation and went even better than I could imagine. She was very apologetic while also very understanding of my frustration. I feel like more recently I’ve come into contact with people that are not so friendly, but she truly couldn’t have been more pleasant. She resolved the issue within minutes (I will be getting the correct color/material couch) and in the meantime, she offered for us to keep the couch we received so we do not have to sit on our living room floor until the new one can get here in a few more months (which I truly wasn’t even expecting to be offered) and we don’t have to pay a pick up/restocking fee. This isn’t my first purchase with value city, and while it may not have been entirely correct, the way the situation was handled by Ashley is the exact reason why I’m sure this won’t be my last purchase. Thank you again to Ashley for all the help!
So I ordered from White Marsh location but Glen Burnie called me saying my furniture would be delivered Wednesday that waa weird that Glen Burnie location call me ok I called back they said they dont know who I am I gave my number twice and the lady had someone else name under my phone number 🤦how?? I said my name twice she said we dont have anything for you. I said well why did yall call me? Should I just call the white white location! She was not helpful she was very rude and inpatient with me Im the customer yall called me and left voicemail just help me connect to the right person. Instead she was combative with me I asked for supervisor she said very proudly that she was the supervisor. I would hope not if so Glen Burnie value City get it together very unprofessional dont think I will be ordering from them again!!

I’ve been searching for furniture for our new all season room but due to COVID there’s a halt on production. I’ve been to VC on a few different occasions. I went to the one on Mountain Rd and was greeted by Sung Koo. He wasn’t like most of the Sales Reps. He asked me what I was looking for and gave me space. When I had questions he was there to explain Everything to me, give me quotes and options. Sung Koo was very patient, professional and had great customer service. I told him that I had to take measurements but I would be back. Unlike everyone else, he sent me an email thanking me for stopping by as well as the measurements fir the items that I was interested in. By him being transformational, that caused me to return the following week to by what I initially came to purchase pulse an extra item. Thanks for the great customer service Sung Koo.
Terrible customer service, no communication between company and delivery drivers. When you ask to speak to a manager /supervisor you get hung up (3×) or they fwd you to a number that rings twice & than beeps at you.Ordered a reclining couch & loveseat and was told via tracker & company confirmation call (day prior) delivery would be between 8-11am on feb 16,2021. At 1110, I called value city to track my delivery & basically had to ask rep for an expected delivery time from driver since late already. She places me on hold and says driver is on stop #2 in my zip and that Im stop #3 and says 30minutes till delivery....at 1124 I get a call saying they will attempt a delivery between 1-2pm so I call back # on receipt again to ask whats going on and time changed to 2-6 pm & was hung up on again . I called back and instead of picking option 2 for service/delivery I picked option 3 . Ive currently been on and off hold 5xs and now being told delivery is projected between 1-4pm.... Apparently the furniture store & delivery company are not the same ... 1st time customer with no desire to purchase from them again...Update... Delivery truck came around 2:20 pm & were beyond rushing / practically running to get our furniture off of the truck & into the house. They were here less than 10 minutes from the truck pulling up. Set received was way more stiff than the one we selected in store (hopefully it will losen up / get more comfortable with use) & the loveseat is 3 pieces & center piece isnt flush with the other pieces ....we paid over $1400.00 for this set & the loveseat isnt flush.

Then as I was leaving a lady who was in the middle of helping another customer asks you people need any help?. I have been in customer service for years, this is not how you treat a potential customer. Especially one who was ready to spend over $1000 in your store.

We first called the value city furniture store in Glenburnie to make an inquiry about a curio cabinet we were interested in. The customer sales person who helped us, Barbara Miller, not only was filled with accurate information but within seconds emailed us pictures that helped us to make a decision about buying the cabinet. She was incredibly crisp, friendly, and efficient and as a result within an hour and a half of seeing this item on Pinterest, we had gone to the store and bought the cabinet!
Ok you deleted my first review fromThis morning. Again I understand there are back orders everywhere. We ordered our couches November 2020 paid in full at checkout. The first time the couches came in back in April - only received one half of our sectional so we could not pickup. Pushed out until July 9th 2021 .. we monitor all week that it is expected to be there today so we can finally pickup. Wake up with the news it’s been pushed out for another two months .. it’s been 8 months to today now going to be 10 completely unacceptable. Have we received a call? A text ? A email ? Not one thing. Have a completely remodeled basement with a 75 inch tv hung with no furniture. Thanks Value City

I have been shopping at this VCF for over 15 years. My salesman DION is the kindest, most patient salesman you ever will meet. When coming into the building we have always been greeted, it always clean and everyone has always been friendly. In my opinion DION is number 1 person to do business with.
Im very disappointed that I have to, well.... say that Im very disappointed with this company!Were it any other circumstance I would be raving about their service.In April my wife and I bought new living room furniture and, although the wait was long, the delivery and quality of the product was perfect. Exactly what we ordered.Then in May, we returned and bought two new Twin sized mattresses for our young sons. Theyre ready for bunk beds and couldnt have been mor excited.This story ends well too. The mattresses arrived on time. I picked them up from their Glen Burnie location and the entire process was streamlined and efficient.If this is where the story had ended, then this would easily be a five star review. However, such is not the case.Due to circumstances surrounding COVID, my mother has recently become in need of a new bed as well, mattress and all. She liked the Twin mattresses we got our sons, aksed what we paid for them, and set out recently to pick one up for herself.Unfortunately, when she went to the Glen Burnie location, things took a turn for the worse.First they tried telling her that the mattress she was looking at was never that price. ( mind you only a month ago we had purchased two at the price she was asking ).When she produced recipts saying otherwise, their story switched to, Everything in our store has increased in price due to COVID.In response to that she produced my recipt for the furniture I had purchased back on April, and pointed out that the set we had ordered, currently, even as of me writing this today, is still the same price.From there, their story then changed to, Over 80% of the store has seen an increase. That furniture youre referencing must be one of the rare sets that have stayed the same price.At that point it became difficult to trust the sincerity of their words, given that their story had changed so much in such a short amount of time.While this location logistically functions very well, the management ( of which she spoke with ) is extremely dishonest, to the point if predatory.While I am not one to complain like this, I feel it necessary to inform the people to the best of my ability how this business chooses to treat the seniors of its community during a time of heightened vulnerability.

My initial experience was great, the salesman Mr. Harris was wonderful, and the ladies were patient and kind, thats why 2 stars. I paid for my sectional in full at time of purchase. They said theres a delay and could take until mid July, but that people who pay in full tend to get their furniture sooner. I made my purchase on May 7th. I checked the tracker in the end of May and saw that it was to be ready on June 9th. I called to make sure and they said that the chaise was in but the sofa would be in on the 11th. I arranged to pick up on the 11th. I called on the 11th to delay until the 12, they said it was fine. I showed up on the 12th to pick up everything and spoke with Steve. He said that I was called and left a voicemail that the sofa was delayed until the 15th. I was annoyed because I didnt have a call or voicemail from them. I had him confirm, he said call on the 15th to tell them youll be getting it. Fine i took the chaise and left. I made arrangements to have it picked up on the 15th but called ahead to confirm and was told oh no, the notes say youll come the 18th. So your item isnt in yet, it should be here Friday, just call to confirm and arrange for pick up. Im mad now, this is 3 times. I called Friday to confirm, after I made arrangements for pickup, since I dont have a truck I have someone taking time out of their day to help. BUT, oh no, it doesnt say the 18th, it says it wont be until the 23rd. So this time I got to the store, talk to some nice ladies in the back and they apologize but the manager just went to lunch and wont be back for a bit. That any compensation wouldnt be until after all the items are retrieved (whenever that will be at this point). They said they would make a note and the 23rd should be it. So I get to leave without any further assurances. Im not just mad, Im furious. I worked extra hours to be able to afford a nicer sofa. Had had to reschedule with someone who takes time out of their day to help me 3, now going to be 4 times. This is unacceptable. I would return the whole damned thing if it wouldnt hurt the salesmans commission and I would have to wait even longer now to get something else. But this will be the last thing I purchase here. I had even brought my parents to see about buying their own new furniture. But theyve been hearing how its gone for me. So thats probably not going to happen.

She is knowledgeable of each piece of furniture and was able to guide me in the right direction when choosing the furniture for my home. I was greeted and assisted by Jaison Grassel. He was super nice and told me if I saw something to let him know. I did and he made the process easy and quick. He answered all of my questions and knew exactly what he was talking about down to my amazing delivery. THE SERVICE was wonderful.

Ask for Sung Koo. I repeat ASK FOR SUNG KOO!!! I first purchased a couch and sectional from him late summer/early fall 2019. I went back Sept 2020, looking for him specifically so I could purchase a dining room table and bar chest. The table was delivered as scheduled. That bar chest tho. That bar chest must be a popular piece because my delivery date kept getting pushed back. Original delivery date was Nov 7. Sung left one message stating the delivery date had to be pushed back to Dec 5, then another message that delivery was pushed back again to Dec 19. No problem. On Dec 18 I get a call from the warehouse(?) guy that my piece didnt come in and Im rescheduled for delivery on 1/22/2021. Absolutely not. I called Sung, he worked his magic and guess what got delivered TODAY? My bar chest. Thank you Sung!

I ordered furniture in September from the Value City in Glen Burnie from Mr. Harrison Lemon. He was extremely knowledgeable on the products and explained everything from financing to delivery. If you are in search for a great sales representative, Mr. Lemon is a great guy to use. Delivery went smoothly. VC contacted prior to delivery and setup was great. The delivery guys were professional, masked up and setup quickly.
Most unorganized furniture store ever! Called to schedule a delivery 24 hours in advance just to not show up or call! When I contacted them, they said my furniture is delayed 2 months!!!!
So I wont knock the sales team here because they sales team is very nice and they do their best to be helpful. My problem comes in in WHAT they sell. I purchased a sectional in 2015 and bought the extended service plan. When I bought the plan, I was told that, if ANYTHING were to happen in the 5 years, it would be covered. Well, as you can see, there is a HUGE sag in the middle of the chaise. The was also a crack in the wood support for this. When I submitted the claim through Pure Promise, it was denied because they said thats normal wear and tare and I should call the store because I was sold this warranty incorrectly. I called the store and the woman was nice but said its over the year and I should try to go through Pure Promise again. Honestly, if I knew that I would NOT have spent the $219.99 on something that will NOT be honored by anyone.

Was looking for a recliner, every store I went to it was the same answer, they didnt have any in stock and didnt know when they would. I came here to VCF and they had said that some recliners would not be available until the end of may or middle part of June. But went thru and told me what recliners were available in a couple of days. Very friendly and helpful.
I ordered furniture on 3/9/2021 as of 07/15/2021 I still have not received my set. I have called the store several times and received rude service from the “manager” on two occasions. After paying over $700 and waiting over 4 months...he was unapologetic and down right rude. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION.
