Be careful with this place STAY AWAY. I took a motor to get a swivel bracket replace they wanted to charge me $489 for the part and over $500 dollars for labor. I decided not to get the work done with him due to the over price bill. When I got there to pickup the motor he had an invoice of $185 I ask for what if he didnt do any work it was just an estimate he never said anything When I took the motor in about a bill just to give me a price. Bottom line stay away or be ready to pay top dollar for a simple fix or be ready to pay just to get a estimate. Also I found the original bracket on ebay for $100.
Austin was so helpful! I’m a first time boat owner so it was really nice that he took time to explain everything I needed to know about my new prop and how to install it. It is refreshing to see a business owner care so much for a drop in customer. Now they have a customer for life.
Awesome shop highly recommend for any of your boat needs.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely would recommend.
Stay away far far away from these clowns.Made appt in February for appt on April 7th. Dropped off the boat and was told itd be approx 5 weeks to service the engine, add a deck to the bow, recsarpet and add live well and few other small things like cup holders. 4weeks later and nothing had been done and I still hadnt even been quoted after being told Id have a quote in a day or two. I dont know how theyre in business?
Austin was great.the price was very fair I have an older boat and was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. And had my boat in and out in two days. They were very honest and did not try to make money at all just sold exactly what I needed. Change the fuse in my bilge pump instead of selling me another bilge pump. I’ll definitely be coming back
Highly recommend! Bruce and Austin were very professional and informative with the urgent and non urgent repairs my boat needed. They walked me through the repair and parts they replaced as well as answered all my questions and concerns I had. Fair, affordable pricing with quick turnaround time, despite the holiday rush. Im relieved to find an honest place to bring my boat back to. Thanks guys!!
Bruce and his son were very helpful and very knowledgeable! They took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and why and what was needed to do the repairs. Did the work I needed had me in and out in 3 days with a very fair price! Highly recommend them for your boat repair needs! Definitely made a new costumer!
Ok so let me first off say these guys are great!!!!! I had a carb done here and were informative helped me out in understanding the parts I need to keep my motor in shape and were very prompt! The workmanship is great and it makes me confident in putting my boat on the water knowing these guys fixed my motor!
Smart guy. Very helpful on helping me with knowledge to work on my own boat. Sold me the supplies I needed and was even there for me on phone support when I had a question while working on my outboard unit.
Great experience with Bruce and his son, they let me know what the problem was in 5 min. I asked them to make the repairs and annual service. The set it up for towing and water sports and at a great price. Will be my boat guy for all my needs.
Good food great service great prices
Bruce Dean is a dedicated and extremely knowledgeable professional boat mechanic. My fiance purchased an older Bayliner ski boat, that appeared to be in top shape, but with a 30 year old cream puff there were still some issues that needed attention. We called 3 other well known boat shops including Sun Country Marine, who wouldnt even touch a motor that old. Bruce didnt even hesitate. He instantly knew the pedigree of the boat, its motor and all the other details, where to get parts/replacements and so forth. His knowledge was impressive as was his service. He even came out to Bartlett Lake to help us at no additional charge. He is very honest and hardworking and reasonably priced. He has a treasure trove of parts that cant be found anywhere today knowing how manufacturers love to make things obsolete and forcing the consumer into the expensive option of buying an entire new boat or motor. This man is not a hoarder, he is a SAVER of valuable parts that he knows his customers will need. He maintains a low overhead shop on the west side, as a way to be able to pass on his high quality at affordable service. Some of our problems were brought on by our own naivety, but once again, Bruce came to the rescue, explained our errors and didnt charge a dime!We have both owned several boats in the past and had experience with at least a dozen boat mechanics. Bruce Dean and his son, also a fine young man, are head and shoudlers above the rest, especially if your boat/motor has hard to solve problems.
After 2.5 hours of work performed, I got a huge bill showing 4 total hours (not cheap). I had already factored in lake fee ($150 + parts). I tried to discuss the bill and see if we could come to an agreement. Several voice mails and emails over 1 month and still no response from this vendor. Poor customer service after the work is done. Nothing I can do now but pay the over inflated bill. Customer beware, make sure you get up front pricing and an invoice at the time of service or you might get stuck.
Called Mr. Dean regarding our new to us boat and he was very helpful in assisting us with our fuel tank. Thanks for all of your expertise and knowledge.
They were not there when I was to drop off boat, no phone call. Waisted a month waiting for the appointment. Very disappointed.
When I moved from Tucson to Phoenix in 2001, I was fortunate to run into Bruce Dean at the Boat Show. Since then he has maintained all my boats which in order have been: a 17 foot Crestliner with a 90 Honda; a 20 foot Wahoo with 150 Mercury; a 19 foot Lund with a 135 Mercury and most recently a 20 foot Angler.I always buy used boats and Bruce has done an outstanding job of bringing them to tip top shape. When I bought the 20 foot Angler; it had a 125 Merc and was underpowered; Bruce got a super deal for me on a 225 Merc Optimax with only 300 hours. The boat is no longer underpowered!Having owned about 20 boats in the past 50 years, I have had plenty of experience with dealerships and mechanics.I can say without any qualification, Bruce Dean and his son Austin are head and shoulders above the rest; they are outstanding professionals, conscientious, fair and stand behind their work. They have my highest possible recommendation.
Havent went in but nice people
Super knowledgeable and friendly
Took my boat to Bruce . He charged me over 1300 dollars. Took it out to the lake and it wouldnt start. Called to see if he would stand behind his work like he said. And he has never called back. Will never use his services again.
Chose another service provider....hes a hoarder and doesnt care about his customers....this is not a real business....nothing but a front.
Know there craft
