Okay Im taking a second................................. I really struggled to write this review. Not because I didnt like this place but because I LOVED it!! I really loved it!! I dont give many five stars and this place deserves that and more. This coffee shop is located right in downtown Glendale. Next to the famous Lennys Burger. When you walk into this place you feel the cool atmosphere. So many different white and black art on the walls (picture perfect for your social platforms). Cozy and open sitting areas along with a sitting outdoor patio. Ordered an Americano, pumpkin spice cappuccino, brown sugar latte and a blue berry muffin. All items did not disappoint. This coffee lover was happy! The service was excellent. Speaking to the barista she mentioned they offer karaoke Friday nights. Not only do they offer coffee but they also offer wine and beer. Finally!! Downtown Glendale got it right having this place. Cool, modern, inviting! Like I said before, I really wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself. But I would not make it fair for the coffee shop or anyone else who sees and appreciates my reviews. Do yourself a favor, run to The Black Sheep and get your dose of coffee, wine or beer. I hope your experience is just as enjoyable as mine was.

This place was great! Clean, not too loud, friendly service and affordable! The owner even took time to explain how they built the shop last year, and his Honduran heritage, and how it influences their coffee. The coffee and pastries we had were delicious!

Exactly what downtown Glendale needed! Coffee is great, baked goods are great (get them while they last), great selection of beer, staff is great, ambiance is great, and the back patio is really nice.

Went in with my bf, he got a plain ice latte and I got a pumpkin spice latte. The plain latte was delicious, a really well pulled shot and not over extracted at all. My bf said he didnt know a latte could taste so good!The pumpkin spice latte was delicious as well and not overly sweet which I appreciated. We also got monkey bread which was also great.Overall a great experience and a really cute coffee shop. The two baristas were super friendly. We plan on returning for a coffee date. 🙂

Awesome little spot. Just moved to Arizona and this was my vibe for a morning coffee shop. Had an amazing barista who made my drink to perfection with love. Dope Ambiance. My macchiato was top notch.

Not an ideal time to open a new business as we enter an era of social distancing restrictions but Black Sheep has the space to keep you spread out! The new addition to the downtown Glendale area is appreciated as Black Sheep is the hero we didnt know we needed. Daniel and Linette have something special cooking up as they welcome you inside showing open arms and nothing but love. The patio has loads of potential and will hopefully feature live music and a chill place to enjoy the cooler weather. Im excited for the future as I anticipate this place will be filled with working laptops and coffee 1st dates. Oh and the coffee is phenomenal!

I really wanted to give this place a better review but Im having a hard time finding any positives. 😓 Met up for a date and the first thing we noticed was how hot and humid it was in there. The menu is huge which for some is a plus or negative because you can find new things to try or you take a very long time deciding what to get (me). Are you guys a coffee shop or a brewery? Not a huge fan of the chalk used on the board with all the colors...chalk just looks messy. Its also dark and awkward in there. I had a peach tea and they had a lemonade...both 5/10. A little tweaking and this place could be my new favorite study place.

My sister and I came in cuz we love to support local. We met the owner and she was SUPER COOL (hey Lynette!) We enjoyed an UH-MAY-ZING Banana Nut Bread Latte and A Carmel Macchiato that was DEE-LISH-US!! The vibe was awesome, the coffee was awesome..and the price? NOT BAD! Stop.in and get your caffeine fix! This is MADCATTER APPROVED COFFEE! They pull their shots per each cup and that ALONE is why I will support these black sheep.. See what I did there? Hahahah go..get...coffee...

Like the place but no decaf. The decor and atmosphere is nice. Would go to hang out have a beer there, the only reason they got nocked down to a 4 star is because the did not have decaf for my wife who is still breastfeeding our baby. There are other options but the one that mattered, wasnt available. Keep up good work.

First time here and I loved it.The crew was very polite and friendly and helpful with me making my choices.The coffee was so good. Just right for me.The muffin was very tasty.I will be telling my friends about it and will return.

First time in and this place is amazing. The decor, customer service, coffees and the “folded sheep” were all spectacular. It’s the right balance of funk and give a damn about what they do. I don’t come down here often but will be back for sure!! Make sure to check out the retro bathroom decorations also!

Place is very nice inside, the staff is very friendly. Only got a coffee and a muffin. Both were very good and of the great quality i like. What blew my mind was that my tab was just over 3 dollars. I have paid 3 dollars for just a coffee or a muffin of the same quality. Id give this place 4.5 stars but the value pushes it to 5. Recommend this place very much.

This is an amazingly simple concept. Good coffee and fancy offshoots at a reasonable price belies the true gem at this second home. Daniel and Lynette Sabillion, the always-smiling owners, are quick to listen, provide the atmosphere of acceptance in a world that advocates the entitled opposite, and seek to build relationships and not a business. My family and I committed to visiting at least once a week to support this sweet place and to grow our relationship with these sweet people. This is what the Dutch and Star place fail to grasp. They sell coffee and seek profit - The Sheep sells relationships and seeks people! Thank you!

The coffee is amazing and the owner is very knowledgeable. He was very easy going and helped me and my fiance to customize our drinks and get exactly what we wanted. This is the first coffee place that is not a major chain to seriously impress me here in Arizona. The syrups dont taste fake or overwhelming and the espresso roast is well flavored and smooth. I would 100% come back and try something new!

They’ve got a variety to offer: COFFEE, tea, BEER, hard seltzers, WINE, and smoothies!! They’ve also got a BoMb sandwich called the “Folded Sheep” omg, try it. As far as this being “mainly” a coffee shop... Fully stocked with MANY flavors & different types of milk/ all the coffee ingredients you could probably ever think of. The owner(s) are usually/always right here. Support small & family owned business!! As of May 1st, 2021: they’re offering live music too. I’ll start coming here regularly, Bc they’ve got plenty of space to post up for a couple hours with my computer or journal in my notebook. I also appreciate the big window & all the natural lighting. Very comfy sofas, as well.

I was walking a few miles from Phoenix west into the adjacent city of Glendale and found this adorable Cafe at just the right time. Its spacious with comfy couches and a large patio with more outdoor seats.They have a large selection and I bought a Mocha that was smooth with just the right amount of chocolateyness.The Barista did a fantastic job and communicates well with customers.Black Sheep has only been open about a year and it looked like alot of regulars there.I rank them top ten Cafe in Maricopa County.Highly recommended.

Today was....an interesting day. Instead of writing a book about my terrible morning Ill just start by when I walked into this coffee shop.I had an emergency and after SEARCHING for a certain facility for an hour. I finally came across this OPEN coffee shop. This gentleman was very nice and helpful. He has NO CLUE how much he saved my day. I want to say THANK YOU 🙂 and the Peach tea was refreshing 😊.

I am very much a coffee lover and always searching for new shops to visit. I am the type of person that will drive out of their way to grab a good cup of coffee. During today’s search, I found Black Sheep and I was truly impressed. The owner greeted me with a warm welcome and that itself goes a long way. I ordered my usual, iced vanilla latte. I came in with my baby and the owner was extremely kind by bringing my drink directly to me so that I wouldn’t have to leave my baby unattended. The latte itself was delicious. Before leaving, I was able to speak with the owner about his shop. Hearing him speak about his shop and the coffee showed just how passionate he is about this business and what he does. Highly recommend this place if you are in downtown/historic Glendale. 😊

Went today for the first time after driving by for the hundredth time. Good space, seating, wall art, and vibe! Got an iced caramel latte and iced caramel macchiato. Split both of them with my roommate, and we agreed they were both so good! Definitely will be back.

This place is such a nice breath of fresh air for the historic district! The whole vibe of the place is so modern, with a touch of the industrial look and is super spacious. The owners were friendly and welcoming, its clear they have a passion for coffee. I got an iced vanilla latte, sooo much better than a Starbucks. The coffee is really good quality and the drink itself wasnt too sweet which I appreciate. I got my daughter a strawberry smoothie and she loved it as well. Im just so excited that theres finally a good coffee shop near me!

Great place with a great feel to it. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Prices are great when compared to the chain coffee spots and the coffee tastes better. I frequent downtown Glendale quite a a bit and plan on making this place a regular stop a couple times a week.

The Espresso was high quality. We got a True Macchiato, done right. This place knows their coffee They use same beans as The Lux they said. We seek out high quality coffee/espresso and this place will be a staple for us. They had excellent service AND knew the flavor profiles (which is rare) which was rich chocolate notes!

The strawberry and peanut butter blended coffee is heaven in a cup!! The cold brew is pretty dang delicious too!! Parking can be a little tricky sometimes.

The coffee was good, a bit pricey. The biggest issue I had with this place was that no one inside (not even the barista) was wearing any face mask. The service was nice and there is a great atmosphere, but I felt very uncomfortable that someone handling food and drinks was not taking necessary precautions amidst this pandemic.
