Wonderful people, as a local artist they have most graciously allowed me to put up work in their store. Truly people of the community. I also dig their selection, very well stocked and the general area is kept clean.

I firstly arrived at samurai comics and was pleased to see how clean and nice the store was. It had plenty of cool things to purchase from. Where my one star comes into factor is because of a couple of things. One, while browsing I had asked about buying magic cards and selling Magic’s cards but I was advised they couldn’t do that because the store no longer had a magic person there due to him moving to their Phoenix location. This was a little weird but I didn’t pay it any attention. Secondly upon checking out, I was advised that the comic I wanted wasn’t available for purchase yet and would be available until tomorrow. So the employee told me he couldn’t sell me the carnage comic. I was taking back because I was new to the location and comic shopping in general and didn’t understand what he had meant. He told me that the back wall comic rack is for new releases and they can’t be purchased. I responded with “oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know”. He was very aggravated that I tried to purchase the comic and said, (sigh) “ well there is signs there for a reason”. Which, when I went back to the location. There were signs that said unavailable. I was extremely unhappy on how aggravated he got and since then had a very rude demeanor. I didn’t understand how I would have to drive back the next day to purchase the comic even though they had about 9-10 copies of each alternate art, though I guess that’s how they run their business. I would like to note that a good business idea, would be to take a picture of the comic and place it in a comic seal, which could be put on the comic rack display with a release date to avoid any problems. It’s very odd to have multiple physical comic copies on display and they can’t be purchased until a specific date which isn’t stated on any of the individual comics for their different release dates. This would avoid any problems and make it easy for the customer to know when they would be available. Thought it would be obvious to say I didn’t go back the next day.Negatives:-Bad customer service-lack of knowledge and accessibility-Very off business practices-Rude employees

Samurai Comics is a solid store. The owner Mike is a class act and has been doing this for decades. I have been to a few of the Samurai locations and all have had great customer service and selection. The stores are presented well and clean.

Love this place! Great selection of books and memorabilia and the crew at Samurai are super chill and down to earth. Love kicking it with them too. Pre covid I use to walk in on various events they had going on so hopefully they get back to that. Highly recommend this place.

My boyfriend loves coming here for comics, its a little far & hidden. All in all its really well organized and clean. The staff is also very attentive & helpful.

I give it 5 star because I can. It’s a great shop for new beginners in comics.

What a joke! Rube obnoxious and arrogant!!! I so did not expect this treatment from the employees. I have been to the Phoenix store an had nothing but great service. Answer questions take the time to ask questions. These losers did nothing even close to that!!! I guess I should have read the reviews on this location prior to going there. A pattern shows through all to vividly. Do your self a favor an do not go to this location with expectations of being treated good...Total jerks...

Great store!! Staff gave a lot of recommendations. Easy parking and well lit. Safety covid protocols are in place. This isnt on the main corner you have to drive in some. New issues and well organized. They have three other locations as well. Price at this one is low to meduim range. They are in a busy strip mall, so might have to park a little away from the front door. Highly recommended.

Only decent comic book store near Luke afb, good selection but Im not too keen on their customer service. Not sure if its because i showed up in my uniform after work or if it was a bad day but i always get the feeling like Im inconveniencing who ever i talk to there. Not going to make an insinuations because everyone has off days, Im just another nerd trying to get some comics.

They were so nice and even helped me when i purchased the giant galactus funko pop for my birthday. Definitely love buying from them

The gentleman behind the counter lied about several things to try to make a sale. The selection was low. The place was rather clean though. And organized.

Lots of variety. Service was nice. I went particularly for D&D items. The selection for what I wanted was a little more limited but acceptable. Pricing was in line with similar stores from what I could tell.

No restrooms so if you plan on taking your time shopping or are traveling a distance to get here dont think they are concerned about their customers, but other than that great place.

Great local spot, they have a wide range of comics, graphic novels, toys, and other stuff. If they dont have what you are looking for, theres a good chance one of their sister stores has it and can get it there in a few days. Very knowledgeable staff and pretty decent hours, a nice escape from COVID Craziness.

Been my premier comic shop for many years hell I still remember when they were a much smaller shop and am so happy I got to see them grow. I keep coming back because of many reasons but paramount among them is their friendly staff, who are always willing to assist or just strike up a conversation and while it may not be happening right now due to the state of the world there is still no place better to come with friends and sit down for a game of DnD or one of their hosted card tourneys.

Went in looking for a gift for a family member, staff member was rude and unwilling to help. basically told me to figure it out on my own even though I expressed I didnt know exactly what I was looking for, only had the name of the show they liked.

I recently visited this comic book shop to prepare for a paper Im writing in my college level Graphic Novel class. I went into the store needing guidance and thats just what I got. Both the employees working that day were very friendly and knowledgeable. Im thankful I decided to stop into the shop rather than order a comic book online because I could actually flip through the books and see which ones I wanted to invest in. Also I was able to talk through my topic and the options with the employee which gave me some great ideas for my paper.I definitely recommend this shop if you are looking for something specific or just wanting to look around for something new. They have a huge selection of all things comic related.

Awesome place to hang out and also find some really great comics and games you often cant find anywhere else. The staff are all really helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable. They host fun and cool events throughout the month. If you ever have the opportunity to swing by, even if youre not huge into comics, I recommend it, as they have a really great selection.

Helpful workers that have extensive knowledge about most comic book universes; so I would encourage anyone that is curious in getting into a particular series of comics, to ask the kind workers there about their input. Love the organization of the shop since most comic book stores that Ive been to are poorly lit, and or have too much clutter. Samurai Comics is quite the opposite.

Very rude, used to go to this store all the time and now it has new people who are just looking to leave instead of showing any amount of respect towards their customers. I recommend not coming here and take business elsewhere. Only good person there is Alex who always is helpful and at least is polite to people.

The employees are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They care about the community and are always hosting events so people can get involved. And they are constantly updating their displays and keeping things fresh. Maximum effort!

Employees are really helpful and informed. First time here and was given some great info about the comic cons in the areas.

Its nice and clean. A bit cramped due to the stores size, but tolerable. They offer a small place for people to play table top games, although it further emphasizes how cramped the facility is.

For the space they have they do well. Some of their employees are clueless about the items they sell but they are friendly. Customers add to the atmosphere and usually you can find a good crowd. Prices are what you would expect from a mom and pop shop. All in all a decent place to go once in a blue moon.

This is a GREAT comic and game shop. Friendly and helpful staff, good selection of Magic and lots of other games. They have room to set up quite a few gaming tables for people who show up to play.

Ramon is the best! Ive known this man for several years, he is very good at what he does. This store is great for children AND adults to come and play various card games. They have a large variety of comic books and comic merchandise. I love the hello kitty keychain ornaments!!!! ^~^

The attendant was very kind and the lil dudes playing cards in the back seemed to be enjoying themselves. Most importantly my son found many competitively priced Gundums.

Cool store!Lots of choices - books, comics, figures, and everything to shop for the Anime or Comic fan in you life. Daughter got a manga, and we got a Studio Ghibli puzzle we had never seen before.Definitely worth you time to stop in and look around.

Fantastic place. I was a comic book fan as a kid, but got away from it as I aged into adulthood. Now my kids are getting into it, but I have no idea what is going on in the current comic universe, so it is really great to have shops like this that will help you out and explain stories and even give tips on the sort of stories that are cool right now... without treating you like a noob. This place has a great selection and would never do that. Highly recommended.

Fantastic choice of comics.They also sell posters, collectors items, and collector card items deck boxes, sleeves, mats.This was my first visit and with the store as a whole I was happy I had an issue with one employee that sat behind the counter on their phone the whole time I had to ask for items behind the counter several times before she bothered to even look up.

Compared to my last locals this one is ok. My biggest gripe is that they didn’t or don’t give out any of those yugioh tournament packs to everyone who payed the entrance fee like my old locals and they do not have a visible timer (as far as I’m aware) while playing which has lost me a few games.

Great place to get back issues. Store has great prices and very knowledgeable friendly staff. Will definitely return and tell everyone.

Do NOT come here to trade in your cards. They will legitimately try to lowball you. They offered me $25 for a card worth $100+. I wish I could give this place 0 stars for the ridiculous offer they gave me.

Excellent little store with a wide range of comics, but also other things. I believe there’s something for everyone there. Hey have Comics, Gunpla, Manga, Toys and Figures, D&D, and a whole host of other things. They also host Gundam Build Nights, Anime Movie Nights, Magic Tournaments and I think Adventures League. We always have great service.

Very good atmosphere, especially at the new location a little further west. They have more than just comics (plenty of merch) and a knowledgeable staff! Ive been going there for years now and the store has been growing in variety and service in that time and makes me want to visit more and more.

My favorite spot to pick up current books. Usually stocked up on variants, and all the staff are funny, helpful, and knowledgeable Alex, Reo, Mac, Ramon, and Chris (and sorry for anyone else I havent met yet). They are always willing to call other stores to see if they can get you what you want. Plus the new shop is huge!

I have been going here for only 4 months and each time I am greeted with a smile and called by name. Very helpful. Great store to spend time in and browes around.

Excellent location for growing West Valley, but might need to open a satellite location more North and West. Great place for youngers to hang out and do role-playing/Magic games. Good selection of new comics. Descent selection of action figures. Weak on older issues. Had issues of X-Mens Messiah Complex when other stores were sold out.

Enjoyed seeing the magic game hang out/possible future LAN parties area, The more modern comics, collectable shelf nic nacs. Very nice people working there. Would like to buy the owners power ranger daggers though.

Cool place to shop

Went there a few hours ago and boy do they know how to start a conversation. They have a wide variety of content to choose from and the staff was very friendly and understanding. i WILL BE COMING BACK, maybe friday for Friday Night Magic.

Theyve got hundreds of comics and are knowledgable about all things geek related.
