It’s a shame I was discriminated against at customer service at this store location. I live 2 minutes away, which shouldn’t even matter, and was denied a return because I did not have a receipt for jewel brand items.

Stopped by at the this Jewel since I was in the area looking for a bottle of bourbon. Ryan @ the Liquor Department approached me and asked me If I needed help. I told Ryan that I was looking for a bottle of bourbon. He went and checked and got me the bottle of bourbon that I was looking for. Ryan was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectation. Definitely going back to this Jewel location when I’m in the area. Thanks again Ryan!

I rarely leave reviews. Ryan, the liquor manager, was extremely helpful and even generous with his time since I was looking for certain items and had questions. Usually, shopping at a store is all that it is. But Ryan definitely gave me a very positive customer experience and I would definitely shop here more regularly. If Jewel-Osco stores could give customers as good an experience as Ryan does, why would anyone shop elsewhere? Thanks!

Love their sub sandwiches. We came here to grab some items for a picnic and found everything we needed. They also have a great selection of sushi.

Expensive! A loaf of packaged organic bread cost $5.99 here. Thats more than a freshly baked loaf at Whole Foods! Organic milk was also more expensive here than at Whole Foods.

They obviously got pretty much anything you need as far as food and drink but its literally impossible to four or even five star places with such ridiculous prices pretty much on everything. I realize the one that I went to was within the boundaries and confines of the highfalutined Glenview suburb but come on, $7 for a little tin of pre-cut strawberries?$8 for bottled water? $9 for a chunk of cheese? For Yogi and boo boo to walk out of there with all the fixings for an even halfway decent picnic youre looking at at least $60! Im still trying to find the hidden jewel in the whole Jewel-Osco experience

I go back and forth between loving and hating this jewel. It is organized and clean. Has good produce and meat. But there are never enough lanes open and there is no self-checkout. So if you are trying to run in quickly and grab something, you almost always end up having to wait in a long line, even with just one item.

Love this Jewel. I live in the Glen and its our neighborhood supermarket. Gratitude to Ryan in the wine/beer section who is always super friendly and helpful in recommending wine and bourbon (my new obsession!).

Employees without masks, if you want to avoid COVID-19 and the variants that are flaring up then avoid this supermarket of plagues. Even the bagger was wearing no mask and ignoring social distancing!

We stopped in looking for 2 specific wines. Ryan helped us find them. We were hoping to pick up a case of each & Ryan offered to order them for us. He called us as soon as they came in & followed up to be sure that we picked them up. Super service

This Jewel has GREAT flowers. I buy flowers here regularly and they are good quality, last us typically 2 weeks.

They fired a special needs employee of 14 years who was constantly being harassed by the same customer. Ill never spend another dollar here again. It is in the news a quick search will provide all the info you need to not spend another dollar here.

My favorite Jewel Osco

The best Jewel Osco we visited. Clean, variety of options, the isles are well stocked. Hands down. They have eat-in area where you could rest or eat. Also, has a nice tables to unwind, read news papers and drink your starbuck. The barista was very accomodating and friendly.. Customer Service was very helpful. We are not from the area. People seems so laid back compare to the city. Cashier was so nice so as the baggers.

Glen location is much better than other locations in the area.

Rude wanted take money out gave me 60 told lady why need hundred didnt ask for 60 .she said ohh guess dont want give more .really I said she walk away rudely than I took candle paid for it took out 100 dollars needed .very rude nobody in line she stood there Ill never go back to this jewel never ever had problem so my option she need to be rotten up or let go its cold was late for wk who she tell me dont want give it really you ask machine ha unbelievable

Great full service grocery store

Clean and well-kept with friendly and helpful staff, when you can find them of course.

We went to use a gift card and purchased some good values both planned and unplanned. We picked up a couple pieces of general merchandise that were marked on sale but the register picked up the price incorrectly. It was a little upsetting as we didnt need the items and a $6 + overcharge caused me to write a note to customer service when I discovered it at home. The response told me, as a former retail manager, that customer service IS their business. Special mention of Anna OBrien one of the Front End Managers that turned a reluctant customer into a lifelong loyal customer. People count and that is employees as well as customers . BRAVO!

Jewel is a great supermarket for all your basic groceries. They have good quality food, clean and easily navigable stores, fast checkout, and good customer service. Their sale prices are good, though their everyday prices are high.

Usual - this store is above average. Very good meats and fish including whitefish, perch and Salmon. Produce Average +1of 3. Fruit Average +2 of 3. For some reason Bananas go soft in couple of days and breakdown to high sugar content.Management is very helpful in ordering items that cannot be found and reestablishing new stock levels. High Marks for customer service to 95% of staff all around.

Located in The Glens and can get pretty busy right after work, or early on weekends, the associates will get you in-and-out pretty quickly. Nice in-store Starbucks and a well designed flow on the interior, the aisles appear to be wider than most other Jewel-Oscos in the area.

Pretty good store overall, tends to be out of stock on popular items but you can always find a sale!

They have decent stocked shelves but I wish they would have self checkout lanes because there tends to be quite a lot of shoppers in evening and just one lane check out

Strange layout. The groceries are opposite side of the bakery. They have baggers which is kind of nice (although totally unnecessary). Clean store though. Definitely not as a whole foods but thats not what youre paying for.

I stock up/shop all the time. Nothing particularly standout -- sale prices decent and MyMixx gas rewards terrific. Discerning shopping will save good $$ -- read the weekly sale flyer! Staff terrific.

I remember going to Jewel as a kid, and the store was packed, the food was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately Jewel is on a slippery slope, it is hard to locate items in the store and help not available. Compared to other stores I have to say this store wasnt the cleanest..

Its close to home. Appreciate the Osco Pharmacy and their friendly, knowledgeable staff. And, surprisingly, pharmacy prices are very competitive.

I find this jewel to be a disorganized mess with sub par produce. Their advertising on the shelves makes it hard to find what you are looking for sometimes. I feel like they operate like a discount grocery without the discount prices. Go to Aldi and save your money or Marianos and get better quality for the same prices. There are so many grocery options in our area now Im not sure how Jewel is still around.
