My first and last time shopping here! The store was nice and clean with lots of things to buy, and I spent over $200 on food here, but I will not suggest this location for any of my family and friends who do not look Korean or have kids. On our way to the register, my eight years old place her hand to feel a clay jar, and one of the workers ran to her and yelled, NO, NO, NO DONT TOUCH! Before that, they followed my 8 and 10-year old around, ensuring they would not steal $1.99 soup spoons. We drove two hours to this store because of the rating, but never will we come here again.

This is a great place to get groceries (not just Korean/Asian groceries). However their meat is not the best. I usually go to their competitor store for meats. They have a food court on the second floor and the dumplings are pretty good.

The selection was not bad and overall, the market was pretty clean. I went with my husband who is a Caucasian, and the security guy was rude to us, not once, but twice. We drove from Milwaukee area, all excited to try a new Korean market, but left disappointed. It was an unpleasant experience. The employees should work on interacting better with non-Koreans, and have more polite, professional manner.

In this day and age without travel or going to movie theaters and staying in the house most of the time, stumbling upon a new grocery store is rather exciting! I was delighted to find this store on the way back from visiting my elderly parents. Although some of the prices are high - e.g. regular produce items, their sales are abundant and fantastic. The store layout is terrific and 20 times cleaner than Super H Mart in Niles. The selection of certain items is truly mind boggling - sweets are my thing, not Kimchi, although both were remarkable! I bought a bunch of sweets including candy that was affordably priced compared to similar stores. Although this may sound odd, discovering this cool store made my day!

Weird experience apparently they cant spice up with extra peppers and if you order to go dont expect any condiments to go without being reprimanded. Otherwise food is great. There are so many other Korean offerings in the area that would be happy to get our biz. Ill update my review after hearing back from management. Hoping this was just an inexperienced employee, never been treated this rudely there.

Great Korean grocery store. A lot of Asian stuff here. I shop at this store at least once a week. The only issue that I’m really unhappy about is that they ran out of Shanxi superior mature vinegar which is the Best vinegar on earth, but it’s not being restocked from the past month. I stocked three bottles for this quarantine, I’ve already finished all of them.

Best Korean supermarket Ive been to. Big, clean, good value for money and delicious Korean claypot soups and mandoo!!!! I am ecstatic that this this Joong Boo Market opened and provided some competition in the Korean market scene. As consumers, competition adds value for us, like better price and service!!!First the groceries. Comparable to super H-Mart but my feeling is that stuff are cheaper here (disclosure: unscientific subjective gut feeling :-p)FRESH SALMON! As Joong Boo Market is know for their sashimi platters, their salmons are very very fresh! I will be coming here to get my fish in the future! They know their supplier and sashimi is dependent on good quality! Now the foodcourt. First of all, foodcourts are usually more than two stalls... there are only two stalls here :( Fortunately, the two stalls are SUPERB! We ordered a seafood tofp soup & a ox tail soup. Both broths are super rich, full of flavors and leaving me & my wife salivating! We both agree that we wont be going to any tofu houses as the quality here is so good and I dont have to pay gratuity. Call me cheap, I dont care! There are only three side dishes with the soup and none are cabbage kimchi, but they are unique and tastes good. The dumplings here are $6 and huge. Unfortuantely I dont have the stomach for it, but I have my eyes on them! They will be devoured the next time we are there!!!This will be my usual Korean Market stop now!

Great place for shopping. Lately i have been shuttling my dad to do his Korean food shopping because one store close by does not have the variety that JB does and it is much closer then H Mart on Oakton Street which is farther away, if driving down Milwaukee Avenue. Good selection, meat prices on average a $1 a pound cheaper and the quality is very nice. Fruits and vegetables offer a nice selection and really good deals pop up passing both price test and smell test (fruit ripe and juicy). Well worth the time to check out the store and its food court (access through separate side entrance and on 2nd floor overlooking store)

I really liked this place. First off its very diligent about following CDC safety guidelines. Second, Its huge but the quantity of space is outmatched by the quality of products. From a wide variety of fresh produce to every possibly known preserved food item (the ramen aisle alone is awe-inspiring) to the largest selection of khimchi Ive ever seen, they have it all. They even have a housewares section. (Impressive but a tad expensive).I personally love the bitter melon tea and corn tea and dontget me started on the banana, strawberryandmelon mik. Also, those tiny chocolate covered bread sticks with almonds, thanks, just what I needed, another addiction. So if youre feeling inspired after your Kdrama splurge come here to find those delectable fish cakes, tteokboki, and khimchi. You wont be disappointed.P.S. As with most stores trying to find parking in the parking should be an Olympic sport.

Food court 2nd floor: the food here is so-so and the taste is always disappointing. I wish they would put in the same diligence as the kimball location food court. The decor here is superb but the food taste and quality is pretty sad, considering Korean food has the potential to be delicious (this place makes things hurriedly and carelessly). Food quality is very low here. The red meat they choose to use in the food court is of a lower quality cheap version with preservatives to extend its life. If you are sensitive to such preservatives, it will give you trouble.

For being a brand new store... it looked OLD and run down. Super H is 10x better. The food court was just sad and you have to take a weird and sketch stairway to get up there. All their live clams were dead and who knows what else. Oh, and the bathroom was filthy. I saw a random McDonalds cup with a toothbrush on the sink too... It looks great on the outside, but very sad in the inside. Just go to Super H Mart.

A really nice Korean grocery store, that is getting one star, with absolutely horrible customer service. Fully stocked with everything youd expect, except store employees who can interact with respect and courtesy towards their English-speaking patrons. For the most part, I can say, I was ignored and overlooked anytime there was a Korean customer around with questions or needs. I was attempting to order a sashimi tray from the fish section, and the guy who clearly spoke English and understood my request- quickly went from annoyed with my request to pretending he spoke no English to looking down and ignoring me. I had a few things in my cart. I got in line at customer service to see if someone there could help me order my tray, as I had a specific request to leave out one type of fish. Was willing to pay the difference, but was never serviced. I proceeded to put my items back on the shelves and I left, empty-handed. Unfortunately, a store like this, isnt worthy of my patronage.
