I can’t even begin to describe how great of a dealership this is! I saw the car I wanted desperately, but I live 3 hours away from Phil Long Subaru. I explained my situation to Bernadette, a wonderful car saleswoman there, and she brought the car TO ME!! I have never experienced service like what I received from Phil Long Subaru or from Bernadette. If you are looking to buy a car, please give your business to them! You will NOT regret it!!! If you can, ask for Bernadette, TRUST ME it’s a great decision!
Tucker along with the other staff I encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I took my car in for an oil change which includes a complimentary inspection. They discovered my car needed a lot of work and gave me all the information and had patience while I figured out my budget. They were honest and reliable with my car and billing the entire time. I just drove my car about 2000 miles and didn’t have a single issue after all the work they did.After being informed Ford down the street charges hundreds just to inspect I am very pleased with Subaru and this specific service location.
I brought my car here on Wednesday from 9:30am - 3:00pm during this time nothing was worked on for my car. I was told I needed a part they did not have and to come back another day. The car has been shaking and not driving well on the highway, the drive to this dealer is an hour away. I offered to leave the car or come back and leave the car. The customer service was not the best and I work in customer service as well. Leaving the dealer my car stopped working and broke down coming off the highway, after having been at the dealer for close to 6 hours and nothing being fixed on it. I then called the dealer twice to talk to them about this and asked if I could tow it there and at least get a rental car, there were no cars available until Tuesday. I had it towed somewhere else and they found the problem and contacted me within an hour. You would think having worked or looking at my car for 5 1/2 hours they would see a simple air filter that was unattached and would either fix that or not let a customer get on the road for an hour long trip. Super disappointed to add this dealership to the list of untrustworthy shops.
You guys rock! After an unhappy visit which was completly my fault to begin with for being late these guys have done amazing work on my vehicle and well continue to come as my prefered service center. Not only do they have the BEST prices on tires in the valley they have an amazing service department that takes care of all your needs. Continue the great service guys!

Thanks to Glenwood Springs Subaru and Tucker Hutton for saving our vacation. Our Subaru Forester developed a metal rubbing noise as we drove down the road. We were very concerned and put a pause on our vacation. Not only did they take it in immediately, they found the problem and fixed it. It would have been over $150 bill. I cant say enough how much I appreciate this dealership. Ryan sold me my car back in February, and every time I come in he remembers who I am (even with a mask) and asks specific details about my life. I was very indecisive when I came in to buy and I had a tight budget - he was so incredibly patient with me and helped me get a good deal. I really enjoy coming in to say hi to him every time my car is serviced.Gerardo has also been so good to me in the service department - he helps me get all my needs met and takes the time for a more personal conversation. I also made a silly request to get another one of the reusable Subaru bags, and he went through the ringer not to get me one, but two.Good people all around! I am technically closer to other Subaru dealerships, but I will continue coming back to Glenwood Springs Subaru for this awesome customer service.
I received incredible service from Luis. I was shopping for a used vehicle from out of state and Luis did more to help me with my decision than any other dealership I have ever worked with. He made me several personal videos of the interior and exterior and answered all my questions thoroughly.
Glenwood Springs Subaru goes above and beyond. My friend and I were traveling when we experienced some issues with my forester. We called Glenwood Springs Subaru who explained exactly what was going wrong and offered to schedule us in that very same day. They not only fixed the problem, but also gave us easy driving directions and even great hiking suggestions for the rest of our trip. And they washed my car! The customer service could not have been better, and Leslie really stood out as extremely kind and helpful. Long story short, Glenwood Springs Subaru saved the day and made a potentially stressful experience actually great!
I had to get my airbag replaced (from the takata recall) so I was expecting my visit to take a long while. Theres a really nice little work station so I could set up my computer and work the whole time, which was great! Leslie was incredibly nice and helpful, and I really appreciated her customer service. Even though I had to get a few more things done to my car, I didnt feel bamboozled and it really didnt take very long. They even washed my car and gave me a jug of wiper fluid for free. Overall, great experience.

I recently purchased a 2020 forester. This was my second new car purchase in my life and I was pretty nervous. Bernadette made me so comfortable and informed, making buying my new car easy and stress free experience. I can’t say enough how great she was! They went above and beyond for me!
I went there this past April to get my car serviced. I was told that I needed a whole new engine block that was going to cost me a minimum of $5k and that my best bet was to drive straight to a mechanics and sell my 2010 Forester for parts for $500. I was supposed to drive from Glenwood to Idaho the next day, and so I ended up leaving the vehicle until I was able to come back and get a second opinion. I had a family member make a call to Subaru to see if that sounded right to him and he spoke with the mechanic that helped me. This mechanic said that their “motherly instincts” didn’t want me to drive to idaho all by myself, so they over exaggerated how bad the condition of my car was. After leaving my car and paying 2 months rent on a storage unit because of this misdiagnosis, I came back and drove my car from Glenwood to idaho with 0 issues and took it straight to a mechanic who told me I just had a leaking head gasket and he made the repairs for $1500. It was unprofessional to say the least of them to take it upon herself to lie about the condition of my car for my safety, which is not their business, as well as misdiagnose what was wrong with my Subaru. Now, I have sold my car for $9k and feel incredibly grateful that I did not sell it for $500.

Took my car in for service because Honda of Glenwood Springs was too busy. What a mistake!! Not happy with the service provided I have decided to give them one star review. Service writer Leslie was not thorough and attention to detail was left by the wayside. Do yourself a favor and stay away from dealerships in general, especially this one....if you need a good mechanic talk with a local and develop a real relationship with a trusting service professional, not this bunch of bozos.
Leslie Riggs Cook excels in her position in the Service Department. Shes always courteous and efficient and can handle multiple customers at once without losing her cool. All the work Ive ever had on my Outback has been done on time and with the utmost professionalism all around. Leslie is a great communicator and liaison between the mechanics and the customer. Were fortunate to have her and her team.

Want to extend my gratitude to Leslie in service on how she walked me through over the phone on how to release the rear hatch on our Outback. The battery had to be disconnected to reset the latch. A tool box was pushing the liner back into the latch area. Wonderful patience and instructions. Thank you Leslie !!

I was on a trip to Colorado for a race and while we were driving from Eagle to Aspen my Subaru Outback broke down. We got a tow from the spot my car overheated to Glenwood Springs Subaru. I explained my situation to the service department, and that I am a military pilot and needed to be home by Tuesday morning. Not only did Justin explain to me exactly what was wrong with my car (which multiple shops had not been able to do - I had been dealing with this problem for over a year with multiple fixes that all ended up only working for a short time), he worked with us to figure out what to do. We tried a fix that would hopefully get us home that we quickly realized would not and then were stuck. My car wasnt going to be able to be fixed for at least a week, and I had to be home in a matter of days. Not to mention, I had a full car of tents, racing gear, 3 bikes, 3 people, a dog...so we wrestled with idea after idea. Eventually, we went to talk to the sales department. The sales team stayed hours past closing time, working to help me find the right car, sell them mine (for a fair price, considering its current state) and make sure I was comfortable and happy before leaving. Even though I definitely had the lower hand, I never felt like I was being swindled. They took a crazy situation and made it so much better! I would never have imagined buying a car on a whim, but if I ever have to again I hope I am lucky enough to be stranded in a place where the service is as nice as it was at Glenwood Springs Subaru. Our dog even left happy and full of treats, too. Overall, a much better experience than I would have anticipated a situation like this to be.
I bought a Crosstrek Hybrid from Glenwood Springs Subaru last Saturday and it was the most incredible experience Ive ever had buying a car (or any large purchase, for that matter). Ryan Roberts (Salesperson) was so considerate, knowledgeable, and in no way pushy. There was none of that let me go back and check with my manager that you get at many dealerships. He called my insurance company for me so I was fully insured before I left. He made it fun and went out of his way to help me learn how to operate the car before I left. I had a long drive home, so this meant a lot to me. There was no haggling, no hassle, no stress - and the price was right. Chris Good, the Sales and Finance Manager, was extremely courteous and professional and handled the transaction quickly. They both made all the paperwork straightforward. I got a fair trade-in, to boot. If you are in the market for a Subaru, this is the place to go—even if its a little bit out of your way. And I love the car, even though I had been driving a Land Rover. Hello, 33 MPG around town? Unbelievable.

Good, knowledgeable staff. There doesnt seem to be a question they cant answer with little searching, and theyre willing to find the answers to your questions. Scheduling is easy with normal service times. In a time where it can be hard to find service like this, they maintain a very good reputation.
I like Subaru as a car company. The car I drive is a Subaru, 20 years old and still running pretty well. But when I went to this particular dealership to have them take a look at why the Check Engine light was on, their customer service left a little to be desired. They came to check my car, and told me that my knock sensor was going bad - valuable information for me, and Im glad they told me specifics - but finished with, in a tone that I found a little condescending, You dont have to come running to us every time you think something might be wrong. Believe me, I wont. Id rather go to someone who wont make me feel embarrassed for caring about whether my car can make my 1 hour commute every day.
Ill just echo the many wonderful experiences, specifically dealing with Chis and Jason. I was coming in from out of town to buy a car and they worked with me to get everything lined up to make the process go as quickly as possible. Jason also helped get everything ready in our new car for the long drive back. He could not have been more pleasant or helpful. I would absolutely recommend buying a car here.
We,ve bought three Outbacks there, and had a few visits to the service department too.Always been treated well, and the dog gets treats.The service dept has been great. On one occasion they accidentally scratched the paint on the drivers door, which I didnt notice until I got home. Went back and they immediately accepted responsibility and gave a loaner while they sent it out to repaint the whole door.No charge.Very happy to have a dealership of this quality locally.Update edit.Just to confirm the 5 star review ... Made an appointment for some service work that I didnt have the patience and time to fool with. Oil changes in the front and rear differential and brake fluid flush, that kind of thing.Appointment was at 10 a.m. and the estimated time was 2 hours.Everything was finished in 1½ hours and the car was even washed. Total cost was exactly the same as the original estimate.Again, very happy to have a dealership of this quality close at hand.

I pulled into here on a cross-country road trip because my recently purchased used car was making weird noises and seemed to be running a little rough. They were courteous, kind, offered to shuttle us to the hot springs to wait, and in the end didnt charge me anything because it turned out my car was just old. This review is for the Service Center (especially regarding a rep named Gerardo).tldr: extremely rude service rep, did not perform the service I scheduled, car smells like burning oil whenever engine has been runningI dropped my car off for an 18k Mile service that I had scheduled online. I bought my car at this location about a year ago and also purchased a service package that covers the first 60k miles of oil changes etc. I have gotten my oil changed/service done at this dealer 2x before this, but when I dropped off the car this time, the man at the counter (not Gerardo) said he could not find my VIN or service package. He assured me that he would find the info in their system and said I could come back to pick up my car in an hour.20 mins later I received a phone call from Gerardo who rudely said I didnt have a service plan. Not, Oh I’m sorry, we cant seem to find your service plan, but rather You dont have a service plan. I assured him that I did and he said Where did you buy the car? We dont even have any records of ever servicing it. ...I literally bought the car 30 feet away from the GWS Subaru sales floor (who were excellent to work with by the way) and had 2 oil changes at this same service center prior to this. Gerardo continued to tell me I was wrong, even after I supplied my service plan ID number. He kept arguing with me about it so I then again said, Well I bought the car from your dealer and I am looking at the service plan card that was supplied at the time of purchase so you need to find it, and hung up the phone.Over 4 hours later I receive a call that my car is done and ready to pick up. The paper work said 12k mi Service when I had scheduled the 18k mi Service which is not even a huge deal but just another testament to the poor service. They didnt even change the sticker in my window to help remind me of when the next service should be AND whoever did the actual oil change must have messed something up or spilled something because the car smells like burning oil inside and out plus smoke is coming out from under the hood!I called the service center after I noticed this the following day and the person I spoke with said that its common for technicians to spill oil on the engine...although I have never had that happen in the last 10+ years that I have owned and maintained a car. Not even during one of the many bargain JiffyLube visits I have made. Maybe I have just been lucky up until now?I really expected more from GWS Subaru. I used to recommend this dealer to everyone because I had such a great experience in their sales department and the other employees I have worked up with up until now have been great! But that Gerardo guy really left an awful stench in the air. I’d rather drive all the way to Grand Junction than potentially deal with all that rudeness and bad service again. I’m really surprised they have a guy who treats customers like that even working at this location.
Chris Good was incredibly helpful and was able to provide me with a great deal and generous service. He was very supportive and helpful during a stressful time when I was without a car. Everyone at the dealership was extremely helpful and friendly.
A complete waste of time driving from Castle Rock to their dealership, only to find out the car wed been looking at and discussing with the dealership was mistakenly listed as a Toyota Sienna SE Premium, when in reality it turned out to be an SE, a far inferior vehicle, automatically turning what looked like a decent deal into a bad deal.The guys claimed not to know that this was the case, but, seeing as the car was a trade-in, this is hard to believe, seeing as the SE Premium of the same year and mileage is worth $2000 more than the SE. Hmmmmm, Im pretty sure people running a car dealership would do their due diligence when trading one of their cars.Plus, Chris Good, the dealer we were working with, posted a 5 star review of the dealership, which can be seen below. What an awesome experience with the guys, Ryan, Chris and Russ, @ Glenwood Springs Subaru. They listened to our needs and found the best, used vehicle @ the best price up front. I googled on the spot, similar comparisons, and found I was getting a better deal right here in Glenwood. Very Cool! And I feel much better knowing the Subarus ratings are above all other vehicles for driving in Winter conditions. It was really easy to deal with the paperwork, especially with the help of Vikki in the front office, and they all made our experience far above expectations. Thank You all. Terrific Experience! I just bought my second Subaru from Glenwood Springs Subaru. The sales staff is helpful but not pushy. Always there for you, etc. etc. I suppose the point is that I just bought my SECOND Subaru there. Roy was my salesperson- again, and he tried to accommodate me with price, financing and he had exactly the Outback I wanted. I shop around. The pricing there is noticeably lower that other dealers. Like $800 lower. So I will probably be back in a couple of years to buy the current sports car.I live too far for the service department, so I dont know. I assume they are also great.

We have been in the 16 Crosstrek for a little while now. We are really happy with how it handles in the area with the snow and back roads. We have so far received exceptional service. We just brought it in for an oil change and tune up. Anyone looking for a good deal and good service should definitely look into some of these.
My last car purchase was over 9 years ago. Since that time I was surprised to learn there is not the anxiety and fear of going into dealership and wasting most of your time. This was a great experience and all sales staff were genuine in trying to find exactly the car to meet my needs. I did not expect to purchase, just test drive, but the car which met my needs was on their lot! The staff was and continues to be helpful and responsive to questions I have and the price was great with no BS attached.I love the car and would recommend Glenwood Springs Subaru to anyone!

I was driving home from Vail to Salt Lake City and stopped in after hearing a rattle coming from my car. Stopped by almost randomly and after seeing how busy it was thought it was a long shot to get it checked out. Alexander at first told me it would be all day, but after explaining I was on the road he pulled it right in, spent 30+ figuring out the problem, fixed it, and put me on my way, all for free!Great shop, great techs, great consultants. If I lived within an hour of it, it would be my go to mechanic for the rest of my life. Love the honesty!

I would highly recommend the Glenwood Springs Subaru service department. Justin and Alex are very knowledgeable on my car. They are also always able to fit me in their schedule on short notice no matter how busy they are. Its the best place to go even if you dont own a Subaru.
After moving to the Valley from Denver, I have taken my 2016 WRX in for all the maintenance. Clyde has taken good care of me and has been more than accommodating with my demanding work schedule. I am coming up on 30k miles and will definitely be back for my maintenance.
Just wanted to let the world know about the great service department at Glenwood Subaru. Everyone is super helpful and friendly and put up with some pretty ridiculous requests. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the folks there and they have always provided service either the same day or the next morning. Buying a car was as fun as buying a car can be, but I cant say enough good things about the folks in the service department.
Bought two cars here. As much as I like a couple models that Subaru makes... I would not consider buying another car here due to poor service. Sadly for Ryan, who is a really good salesman... I can’t give my money to their dealership any longer.The Service Department has really gone downhill in the last few years... follow-up and follow-through is poor. What is verbally promised has not been getting done, and when written documentation is requested, or I have questions about what will be done, it is met with apathy and annoyance at the request. They used to give a written itemization of what was agreed to be done- no questions asked. While my car was under warranty, oil changes and scheduled maintenance was always treated with priority and appreciation: appt. confirmation & reminder call the day before, thorough explanation of work done, recommendations for additional maintenances or repairs were made before they finished with the vehicle, good communication throughout the process, car was always washed, and a service satisfaction survey was always sent to me following the service!All of this has changed for me... there is now an attitude of being burdened if I have questions, what is spoken of is not always done and then the story changes at time of pickup. Car put back together and called to come pick it up but no call while the car is there with recommendations of other work that could be done at that time to save money, time and inconvenience of things that will be needed a short time later. That is a disservice to me as their customer, and to themselves as a lost opportunity for revenue and efficiency per service/repair event.The lack of product knowledge and customer service skills of some of the staff in recent years is truly disappointing, especially in a car market with so many other great competitive choices. My sales experience was really good and I was happy with letting them make a little money on my purchases on the front end and the back end. I was also happy to always service my car here at the dealership when I was in town and always at a Subaru Dealership instead of other shops... but for me, service is very important and unless things change radically back to the way they were... they have lost me as a repeat customer. I would’ve appreciated the opportunity to write this on one of their Service Satisfaction Surveys, but since they do not send those to me any longer, I will just share it here.The culture of customer service has changed here, and I suspect some internal problems exist due to conversations with others that have noticed these things as well, also because of being told by employees of the Service Department that “... they don’t care if I buy my cars there!” what an outrageous thing to say to a loyal customer who has spent over $70,000 at their dealership!!!I hope this helps!
Not sure on the sales side of things but the service department was great. Problem accurately diagnosed in a hour, part ordered and all done in a hair over a hour. No complaints.
Having to bring my Forester to the dealership was something I did not hope for, but my experience made the situation not near as bad. These guys are quick and have great customer service. Dropped my car off and they offered a free ride back to my house in swank new subee. Alex is one good guy, who will care about whatever situation your in. Exceeded my expectations! If you own a Subaru, this should be the only place you go for any automotive needs.

I always have a great experience at this Subaru. The funny thing? I dont even on a Subaru but I am always taken care of like I do. I have had my HONDA serviced here for years now. They know what they are doing and I have been recommending this dealership not only for the service department (Justin) but sales as well (Cory).

This is the first time in my life that buying a car wasnt an exhausting experience! We immediately felt at east and welcome at GW Subaru. We live over 2 hours away but it was worth the drive. Roy Wilson was so easy-going, knowledgeable and respectful to our entire family, including two children and our dog running amuck in the showroom. Financing was fast, easy and with great terms. Vicky was also a delight to work with when it came to closing the deal. Its almost time to trade in our other car, so well be back!
When you walk into Glenwood Springs Suburu it just feels different. The sales people are happy and ready to assist you in finding exactly what you want in a vehicle. They are dog friendly and most important to me, they are very community oriented. My experience with this dealership has always been excellent, on a scale of 1 - 10, they are a 10. Cheers!
Do not buy service packages. We spent $1,200 for a oil change and service program for the first 36K miles of the vehicle. We never were able to schedule an appointment. Were at 38K miles and no services delivered. We now bring our vehicle to Grand Junction or Denver for dealer services for recalls etc. Unbelievably the first time we were contacted by the dealer was two years after buying our vehicle, encouraging us to get our vehicle serviced there! Dealers offer to make up for services not delivered was to do recall work. Recently bought a Subaru from Heuberger motors in Colorado Springs. Much better buying and service experience. Worth the extra four hour drive...
I have been going for years and whoever is on the service drive has always been great for me. If you need an oil change and tires or a full tune up just trust that your car is in honest hands. Shoutout to Joel, Justin and Clyde for the prompt and friendly service! See you guys at my next service
Service department really going down hill. Less knowledgable, poorer customer service, now charging for estimates and quoting jobs. I personally was not charged this time because I complained about it to the service staff but as I was told this has always been their practice which I have not experienced the last few years.
I had to get some studded snow tires and I called very late in the day expecting to be denied service, however Alex got me in and out within an hour and even though he was very busy with many other customers at the time, he treated me great! I was very happy with this service!
Second to None in the Glenwood area (120 mile radius)! If I could give this dealership a star rating above 5 stars, I would give them a 10! They are absolutely awesome/amazing! If you want to show up to a dealership without being pursued in the parking lot, visit them. If you dont want to feel obligated to buy a vehicle, visit them. If you want to buy a quality car, visit them! I could go on, just try them out and give them a chance. Best dealership in the nation in my opinion! I had a great experience test driving a 2018 Outback and Crosstrek at Glenwood Springs Subaru! Although Jimmy is relatively new to the sales team, he is very knowledgable, and clearly knows how to take care of his customers. He answered all my questions thoroughly, and he was happy to show me all the features of the new 2018 models.Having done my research, I know that the pricing I was offered was fair. Jimmy and his team are effective salespeople, but I did not feel pressured into buying anything I did not want to.Although I am headed back to CA in a couple days, I now feel more informed and excited about these cars. I really enjoyed my test drive, and I would recommend Glenwood Springs Subaru to anyone looking for a Subaru!
