The staff at this store are so incredibly rude. Ive been in the states for only a few weeks on a cultural exchange visa and this was by far the worst experience of America Ive had. Completely chewed out by one employee for daring to interrupt him because I was unsure of what desk to pick up my item. Then completely ignored at the correct desk, while staff seemed to chat about something that must have been far more important than serving customers. Every other experience Ive had from customer service staff so far has been exemplary, why was this best buy so bad? Are all best buys like this?

It was GREAT! A Gentleman saw me looking, in bewilderment, and kindly ushered me, to the correct aisle. Then, he and another gentleman swiftly went, in search, for the last, of the ever so popular item.Voila! It was located, placed, on a cart, and taken, to the register. It was super easy peasy and everyone was very pleasant and helpful!

Always great service! You are greeted as soon as you walk in and they ask you if youre going to need any assistance so they can put you on a list right away in order to minimize the amount of time you have to wait to be helped. They say good-bye when you leave and are always genuinely friendly and helpful. Thirsten has been a favorite fir a long time as he is always welcoming, friendly and offers a genuine smile every day! Yesterday I was helped by a young man named Kenny and he was awesome. He answered all my questions about the projector I was looking to buy and took me directly to the products I would need to set it up.

Tried to get tv measurements for a floor model, the guy said go to the website, itll have all the specs. so i bought my new 80 inch TV from amazon. if you are just told to go to the website when you visit then going here is a waste of time!this store will close soon and itll be because of their customer service. These guys sold us not one TV but a whole two TVs!!! Shout-out to the TV expert guy he knows his stuff. Also shout-out to the guy who games and helped us find a tv with low latency. Ended up returning both of them, but that is besides the point. Amazing customer service and folks here know their business. 10/10 tv stands is my rating

Ive had positive experiences at this store multiple times. The staff is helpful and intelligent, answering questions I felt sure they wouldnt understand. As we are still in a state of emergency I will add that Best Buy has a very good system for curbside pickup. I actually ordered a large photocopier and the young man who delivered to my car was very helpful, wore a mask and maintained proper distance.

Very disappointed with the outrageous Tv wall mounting installation service. I waited 30 minutes on hold to speak with an employee. Another 30 minutes speaking with the employee, to find out the service was going to cost $400 just to mount a tv on my wall! I already purchased a $1,000 tv from their store. Ridiculous, Best Buy.

Id only give 5 stars if they had cheaper prices on some things BUT they do price match to major companies. Their staff is hands down professional and helpful. I do wish they had some extended electronic selections but nonetheless its a solid go to. Besides with high rent in the area they pretty much are the only place to go for electronics and others items.

Best buy was horrible! Almost as bad as Home Depot.... to be honest it was my 2nd day in a row trying to get a new phone. No luck! The ONE person trying to handle that department was over her head. As well, lots of empty promises on phones available, time to get to me, and me not being qualified for $800 trade in..... well, I decided to get online while waiting in line and visit, MyVerizon. I was able to get exactly what I wanted, did not have to get juggled between 5 different customers at the same time, and no one actually being helped. Making everyones time there longer, more frustrating, and unsuccessful (for me anyhow) . Most of the phone accessories/ protection devices were MIA as well. And if I remember correctly, last time I got my phone there (S9+) almost 3 years ago, it was the same thing. On top of the fact that they insisted on putting on my screen protector, only for it literally to just fall off 12 days later. And when I went in for the warranty which I purchased on it, they told me sorry, we dont do those here you have to send it in to them. WITH your receipt, etc, etc..... whelp, I think you have lost me and my families business! I appreciate the employee trying to manage it all, just not the corporation that puts their EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS in that situation for their profits. Best buy should change its name to Try to buy .... or Took forever to tell me you didnt have it, or couldnt do it!

I have been a longtime and extensive customer of this branch, buying all my TVs, computers, monitors, other gadgets there as my store of choice. In the past year our purchases have surpassed $5000. Up to now the service has been fine. However when we purchased a washer/dryer set to be installed by the Full Service Geek Squad service that I pay $300 a year for (1) the sales people never suggested to buy a separate vent system or even mention it, (2) the installers bring the set to our home, THEN observe there is no new vent system to attach to our vent, and leave without installing or even attaching the electric cord to the appliances. When I tried to call to complain to the manager, (1) the store says it is not taking any calls, and when I finally get a direct line to the managers phone via a corporate associate, the phone is answered with a message saying they are not available, and the message box is full. That is one-star performance to a customer who has totalled easily over $10,000 in purchases over time. Congrats, Goleta Best Buy, no longer my store of choice.

Purchased a refrigerator 9/4/2020. Best Buys set up appointment for delivery so I had to close my business without pay due to covid. I had to do this 5 times. Plus hire someone to remove doors to make it easier to get it in. Approximately 250 to 300 each time. Alway got call past delivery time saying sorry! Finally delivered and now Best Buys refuse to install it as promised. So now I have a refrigerator I can not have in my house so I might have to close my doors until o get it removed.

Waited a month to get car stereo installed. Had confirmation code emailed to me for appointment on 12/27/20 at 10am. Got there and they didn’t open till 11 am. Waited for 1 1/2 hrs. When someone came out to tell me that they don’t have an installer at this location. Yes seriously this really happened. When I was asking for answers inside they kept taking me to the Best Buy website on their display computers. Never answering my question and no one in the store had a clue what to do. So done with this place don’t waste your time.

The people here at this Best buy in Goleta are so nice and helpful. you cant walk in the door without being greeted and thats top notch customer service in my book. Everybody wanted to help me and what I was looking for. All I asked was where was the item I wanted and I got an immediate answer which was accurate. I definitely recommend anyone to come here because of that welcoming committee. Anywhere you are in the store, you will be greeted and asked if you need assistance.

I went into Best Buy to get a new cell phone, they didnt have it in stock so we ordered it. Went back when it came in. I was very excited 😁 but I forgot I had to get a case for it, they didnt have one in the store so here we are placing another order, at least they were able to send it to me, week 1/2 later i got it so excited again!!😁 to my surprise it was the wrong one! Back to Best buy placing another order waiting another week or so, finally got it only to find out it was the same one they ordered for me before 🤨 third trip and 3 weeks later back to Best buy to Return it!!! Didnt want to deal with them again!!I ordered one online for more than half the price of Best buy and recieved it in 3 days!! So Happy Finally!!!

Dont buy from Best Buy. Ive had good experiences with returns except this one. They charged me $170 for a protection plan that would have covered my phone for 2 years ( breaks, spills, etc ). When I came in to replace my phone they told me I had to pay $200 to replace it. They didnt tell me that when I purchased it, and told me it was in the fine print of the receipt. I would not have purchased it, if I knew that was the case. Do your self a favor and buy from someone else.

Check your receipt before leaving the store!I went to the store to buy 6 airpods. At first, they said only 3 per household like the website. I said 3 is fine. Next, we are in the cashier and I see 5 airpods. I guess we can do more than 3, I said. The employee replies The system can only charge 5. When I get home, I see 6 airpod charges on the receipt. Now I am on hold for an hour on the stores telephone line.

I have been a regular customer for years, but the first time I needed support, service was trash. (Im composing this review immediately after having left the store so that my recall is accurate.)I bought a mobile hotspot device (8800L) because my new homes local wired internet service is poor. I l ordered it through Best Buys online store for in-store picked today, August 16th, and grabbed it after work. Not knowing Best Buy sold me a defective device, I drove 25 miles home. Upon attempting to activate it, I learned that it couldnt find the Verizon network. I know the network is available, because my phone and tablet are on the Verizon network.I started with a call to Verizon. Although they remained helpful for 45 minutes, at the end of that time, they identified the sim card as the problem. Not having a free Verizon sim card, my only option was to return to Best Buy.I called first to verify Id be able to get help. Most options rang without anyone picking up - I was treated to 9 minutes of pestering IVR messages telling me to go to the website for product inventory information. I finay had to just hang up and call Geek Squad. I knew it wasnt their department, but at least they picked up the phone.Unfortunately, they gave me bad information, because they said I could bring the hotspot back for a quick sim card exchange. This turned out to be completely false.Because of my distance, and the amount of time I had already spent troubleshooting, I arrived 8:40. Customer service waved me over to the mobile department. The mobile department just looked up my account info, sharing amongst the two of them that they didnt understand what was going on.I told them multiple times that Verizon had already identified the problem being a defective sim card. Despite that, all they did was give me a sheet of paper with Best Buys activation assistance telephone number.They didnt give me the number until 9 PM Pacific, the exact time this supposed support line shuts down for the night.They didnt even bother physically inspecting the sim card until I insisted for a third time. They just looked, and refused to try substituting the card to test what Verizon said the solution should be.It no time was a manager contacted. In fact, after Id already told them about the distance I had to travel from, the technician told me they recommended showing up by 8 so they have time help, obviously having entirely ignored what Id told them already.I want to be clear that no one was exactly rude, but my experience can only lead a reasonable person to conclude that Best Buys staff is both uninterested in and incompetent at customer service.The result? Im stuck with an expensive broken brick, unable to do my work for days, and out hundreds of dollars. Maybe theyll deign to waive the restocking fee if I return it - of course, they wasted the 20 minutes I had in the store being confused, so the registers were already shut down by the time I had fully realized how much they were incapable or unwilling to provide help.If you want something electronic, dont buy it here. At least with Amazon, you can return a defective product without a ton of dispassionate runaround.

My go to A-Z electronics store.The young employees always have a tip or pearn and recommendation on computers, laptops, IPADs, phones, etc.I like the assistance of the youth who is growing up with technology. Always a plus!We purchased IPAD Pro with the new Stylus pen that charges when connected to IPAD. The purchase was for our Junior at UCSB - Go Gauchos.IPAD Pro is awesome. Streamlines the students learning experience because the pupil is able to download professors online slides and notes. Additionally, IPAD Pro is allows seach students handwritten notes.Manager of computer department is a true professional and excellent customer service provider.Loved it.All in all

I like having an alternative to Amazon! I went to buy a new monitor and related computer stuff. Selection is decent, obviously not as broad as Amazon, but I found an HP monitor at a great price. Sales staff is friendly, helpful and I know returns are easy if I have a problem. I like to support small business, but sometimes you have to support big box too, or theyll just disappear! As the only electronics store for 60 miles in any direction, it is useful to have. Sadly, the variety of items featured in the store limit the choices of each category and the two day wait for Amazon delivery becomes tolerable. The retail scene is forever altered. Im a true believer in supporting local retailers, even a big chain like Best Buy, but I need what I need and want what I want, so order and wait is the usual course these days.

I went to store in Goleta ca. With a laptop comp. that I had purchased a couple years ago among numerous other items over the years My cursor quit working and I wanted it checked out. Mind You now there was no one else at the counter. I was told I would have to make an appt. Why? There was no one else there. I would have to make a 20 mile round trip tomorrow fri at 4PM. I felt this was poor customer service. I went ahead and made the appt. then I went to another shop and they took it in and found that I had merely pushed a wrong button on My keyboard disabling my cursor on top of that they gave me a new mouse to replace my non working one for free. The entire cost was a fraction of the cost you would have charged and done on the same day. If this is the way You treat your customers then say good by because anything you sell I can get from amazon. Wake up folks and get some costumer friendly people on staff

Once we located a representative in the section we were looking to make a purchase, things went okay. The salesperson shared unnecessary personal information but was helpful in spite of this. I think that we got a good value for the items we bought. I think I am turned off by too much personal info shared by the sales rep. It wont deter me from returning to the store (yet), but management should be aware that this is going on.
