I went in here earlier today for new frames/glasses. No one tried to help me at all. The frame selection seemed pretty mediocre, but what got me to turn around and walk out without even trying to get help was that the women behind the counter (who were chatting loudly amongst themselves) made a comment about someones lose skin after losing weight and how it definitely did not look good. Body shaming is never ok, but for them to do it loudly in a professional environment was deeply distressing to me. Very poor customer service, and questionable morality.

Only 2 star because the doctor went above and beyond. The doctor seems very meticulous with getting the best fit and RX for your eyes! Unfortunately the rest of the office is unorganized, rude, and not a good service experience. I literally wanted to get glasses there and the front desk lady told me to look online instead. I usually am able to order a whole years supply of contact lenses through other eye doctors but here they only gave me a 3 months supply. When I called to ask for my prescription, she sounded like she was annoyed to send it to me and questioned why I needed my prescription. I will not be going back to this place because of their specific ways they handle patients. It really upsets me because I know there is a doctors office out there that would love to have me as a patient and I hope to find one versus me being a paying customer and having a horrible experience.

Daisy was such great help helping me purchase me and my family’s glasses. Its hard shopping for a family of 4 where everyone has theyre own styles. Daisy help each one of us with patience and made sure my kids and husband were happy with the glasses they chose! She explained our prescription changes and insurance very well and knew exactly what she was talking about. Exceptional service!

Have bought my glasses at Walmart Optical always with insurance paid like $500.00. So, this time decided to try TSO and $179.00 for exam, Joan Collins Collection eye frames, scratch resistant and transition lenses and Wow Goodbye Walmart. Hello, TSO!!! Dr. Fan, I’ve seen for several years and he’s very kind/through with Great office staff!

Amazing customer service! The front office staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and very nice. They will go out of there way to help and assist with any question, concern, or need you might have. They are also bilingual which is a definite plus! I love this place!

My husband and I have been patients do Dr. Fan for several years. We have always had a very good experience going to him. Dr. Fan and his staff are very friendly. My husband went in to see Dr. Fan back in Dec. 2018 and it was discovered that he had bleeding behind his left eye, Dr. Fan took immediate action and he was able to get my husband into a specialist the very same day to take corrective action. I highly recommend going to Dr. Fan.

I was told my glasses would take 7 to 10 business days, surprisingly they arrived in 4 business days. Must I say I’m so in love with my glasses and I receive so many compliments. Since my daughter needs glasses i’ll definitely return to TSO.

I love the doctor but not office staff. The lady could not find my insurance and then tells me I have a discount plan when I do not. I have very good insurance with Aetna (medical, dental, and vision) so instead of YOU calling my insurance company to verify I had to which is very inconvenient then call you back and still get the run around. Well....guess what, I will go to a different eye care facility. I will never return back to you guys.

My boyfriend and I as well as my family come here. And all the ladies at the front are nice! Especially Stephanie and Claudia. They have been really helpful my past visits with adjusting glasses and did you know, the frames come with warranty?! The Dr is very knowledgeable and got my eye site on point as well as good quality contacts. I definitely recommend.

Very rude eye doctor, William Fan! Would have never thought that they dont have patience. He was rushing through the eye exam and ended up doing nothing! No prescription, not worth the time spent on even going in!! Never going there again.

Stephanie was a great help from beginning to end. Dr Fan was thorough with my eye exam and has all the latest high tech equipment. only suggestion towards Stephanie is to sit down and double check how my glasses feel and look and maybe offer to clean them one last time. other than that - overall good experience - was happy with my frames and happy Im taking care of my eye sight through Dr Fan.

Ive been coming to to Mr.Fan since 2005. This man is amazing and his staff is beyond great. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere and I dont trust any one with my eyes but him. I highly recommend Dr.Fan to anyone. Thank you guys so much for always taking care of me.

Ive been coming here for 7+ years and I always leave with 20/20 vision! The contacts are comfortable, the frames are nice and the appts. are easy and fast. Out in 20 mins or so. Love it!

I’d give this office location more stars if I could. I’ve been seeing the same office and staff since 2000, 18 years now! 😮 Even though I’ve moved further away from their office I’ll drive the extra 30min. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and attends to all your needs and questions every step of the way. Even all the way to the end to let you know if those glasses you picked out look good for your face frame. Just amazing all around!! I have been coming to Dr. Fan for 18 years. He is very friendly and has many years of experience. Today I had my yearly eye exam, and even though I didnt have vision insurance, he gave me a 20% discount. He cares about his clients. I would recommend him to anyone!

Wont be back. They never told me there were premium options that cost much more than what my insurance actually covered. They automatically charged me as much as they could and simply told me what the bill was.... very glad i checked my insurance and then asked them why they charged so much. Very unprofessional - they should have told me what was covered and asked if I wanted upgrades that cost 3 times as much. BAD BUSINESS

I have been going to TSO for 10 years now. I have always loved the environment and the front staff is always so helpful and kind. I never have trouble finding my perfect pair of glasses and my prescription is always perfect! I love this place and would never think about going anywhere else!

Dr. Fan and his staff at Texas State Optical are kind and genuine people. I have been coming here for about 5 years, and my wait time is always short. I am in and out of the office in under an hour, sometimes as short as 30 minutes. Their choice of glasses are good and prices are reasonable. Dr. Fan is professional and polite. Great experience today. Walked in and was immediately greeted and helped by Laura. She was knowledgeable, patient and gave me several options to meet my needs until I was completely satisfied. I stopped in without an appointment to prescribe lens/frames I already had. I was in and out in no time. Very pleased with my service and I’ll be returning for my next exam and new glasses.

Havent been to TSO in years. Glad I came back. Had a slight issue with my insurance which the staff was able to correct. They were very courteous even helped pick out my new frames. Two thumbs up!!

After several years of having my eyes checked and getting glasses and contacts I finally found an eye Dr. that listens to the patient and knows his business. While other so called doctors could only get close to correcting my vision this guy nailed it both last year and this year. The price was quiet a bit less than even the doctor that is supposed to be a close acquaintance of mine charged for less results.Highly Recommend...

I have been going to Dr. Fan for over the last decade ever since I was in middle school and there is a reason why I continue to see him. Dr. Fan personally cares about his patients and has always been meticulous with his eye exams. I highly recommend Dr. Fan if youre looking to find a new optometrist.

Went to Dr.Fan for a medical visit and eye exam (without insurance) and I cant stress how glad I am I did! My eye is back to normal and I can see now! Thank you Dr.Fan and his lovely/caring staff!

When I made my boys an appointment. The lady was very nice. But once I arrived to the appointment the receptionist was kind of rude. She needs to know how to deal with kids. Than we had to pick out our own glasses while she sat behind the desk. And said which one fits or not. My boys still dont have their glasses. It has been 3 weeks

They are HORRIBLE IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARTS I WOULD!! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST. THEY HUNG UP ON ME. IF YOU DONT PURCHASE THE CONTACTS OR GLASSES THERE THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU PUT OUT OF POCKET FOR THE EXAM DONT GO HERE THEY ARE TERRIBLE GO TO FIRST EYE CARE UP THE STREET

I took my two children there today, ages 7 and 9. The staff was great there and really nice. My problem was with the doctor himself. He completely rushed through both the exams. Then my son had to get his eyes dialed and was crying because it burned (and of course the doctor noticed). Which was no big deal because I know it causes some discomfort. Well when it was time for the doctor to check my sons eyes again, he had trouble keeping them open wide because the light was in his eye. So he told my son he was going to put more drops in his eyes if he didnt open them wider. I didnt like that at all.

Its always cold in this building the service is always good from Dr. Fan.The receptionist(Maranda),I spoke with was exceptionally nice & patient, always smiling & encouraging.

I loved my experience.....not only was the doctor very thorough, he was also quick. After my appointement, they said my glasses would be ready within 2 weeks. But then just as I was about to leave, the doctor came out personally and asked me how far away I lived. about an hour and a half i said, so he took me back in and had my glasses ready in 15 minutes!

My phone was stolen from the top of my purse and no one was there but myself, my daughter and staff. They were very rude and hung up on me several times when I called back about it. After I told them not to charge my insurance, they finally called and said they found my phone. They have good deals on glasses though.

The facility is filthy, the wait time is unacceptable, and the folks that work in the office are too interested in chatting about purses and other personal topics to get up, walk down the hall, and into the waiting room, so they just holler from the office. If you dont hear them, its your loss.

The optometrist is fast, but there is not much communication. The restroom was very dirty and had a very strong and unpleasant smell.. The toilet seat was very filthy. Other than that - it is very easy to get in with or without appt.

Dr. Fan at TSO Grand Prairie, Tx has been my eye doctor for three years and at my last routine eye exam in March, Dr. Fan found a tumor in my right eye. Thanks to his finding, I was able to go on to an Opthamologist, Dr. Chan in Arlington and have the tumor surgically removed. The eye is healing now-and I am very grateful to both Dr. Fan and Dr. Chan for helping me take care of this before it became worse. Praise God.

Not very customer oriented. Way too many employees working in the office and it looks very disorganized.The optometrist fails to take the time and talk to his patients on a one on one basis. Fails to ask the patient questions about what concerns do they have about their vision.After paying over $400 for glasses and having to return them 3 times due to the lenses not measured correctly from the beginning...it becomes very inconvenient to the customer.Here was thinking that going to a “smaller” optometrist office would be a good experience.Very disappointed...

I arrived 2 minutes early and staff had me checked in and started the exam right on time. Really liked that whole visit lasted less than 30 minutes and I was explained astigmatism and given some drops for eye dryness.

The office was nice and comfortable, and the doctor was really helpful in helping my family find the right contacts. Overall, my visit there was great.

Wouldn’t suggest going here.I went in because my upper right eye lid was puffy. The doctor was very unorganized ie: medical equipment and trash everywhere in the exam room. I had to pay a copay with my medical insurance as well as my vsp eye insurance. I understand it’s labeled medical so I have a 50$ copay, but I was also charged another 35$ to my vsp insurance for no reason. I didn’t even get a eye exam!This eye clinic cares more about getting in your wallet than actually trying to help you!

I have been TSO customer for years and i will not continue to take myself & family. They are the best i had appt.today Dr.Fan is amazing takes time to explain his concerns . the young lady up front who helped me (i didnt get her name) was very attentive . i have not had good experience with younger folks working the front desk. She by far excelled my expectations. Prices are good too. Very impressed keep up the suburb customer service Dr.Fan and staff!

The blonde head lady is always rude i dont see how rude people last for some reason for the 2times I have been there she looks mad and she talks all rude ....The doctor always looks like he is stressed out. Worst experience Ive ever had. Ive been wearing glasses for 24 years and contacts for almost 20. The girls in the office have their children running around the place. They dont know how to fit glasses. I delt with 2 young ladies, I told one of them I needed the glasses to be tightened aroumd my ears and she bent them so far the lenses were slanted on my face I told her it was so dramatically bent and she argued with me that thats how they had to be so they wouldnt fall off my face. They lack the experience of looking at a patient and measuring to see where to bend them. I had them bent 7 times till I lost my patience. They second gorl kept asking me how I wanted it done where and what ahe needed to do. I told her I have never heated them myself I just know it doesnt feel right. Super rude each time Ive been in. I guarantee you Ill never go back.

Nothing redeeming about this place. Normally I love TSO but I cant say much of anything about my experience with this location has been good. Rude and impersonal staff (doctor included), ridiculously overpriced, poorly maintained building...and to top it all off my prescription was way off. Save yourself some grief and money and go elsewhere...there are plenty of other TSO locations that will actually care about you instead of just herding you through like cattle.

Reception is are very nasty and rude do not recommend that place just because theyve been there for so many years I think they know it all they refuse to check my insurance they judge you by the insurance you have they dont judge you by a customer just letting you know

The damn doctor, messed up my damn vision more than how it was messed up before, Im preparing a lawsuit, talking about I have to cut off the phone, you cant talk to the doctor, the damn manager is a damn joke, no damn respect, lack of self respect, laughs on the phone, like damn, Im talking about a law suit cause he messed up my prescription, going to damn fast with the damn procedure, and there were no other people for him to rush, I never been rushed ever like that, but thinking he knows how to do his job, obviously not, cause now my damn vision is messed up, and they want me to PAY FOR ANOTHER EXAM !!, it supposed to be free knowing he the one who test my eyes and gave me mine, eye contacts, and glasses, if I really tell you, Service is not good when u make a complaint for something that they for sure messed up, so quick they try to turn it on you like it your damn fault like damn once again I didnt test my self the doctor did, WE WILL TAKE THIS TO COURT, and I will be SUING FOR MONEY, u dont just mess up people vision and make it worst more than it was already, u think I was gonna pay like a dumb ass hell naa . Ima sue, B READY !!!!!

When I first went to make the appointment the guy at the reception area acted like he didnt want to help me, and when I went for the actual eye exam the staff was nice, but the lady sat behind the desk as I picked out my own glasses and took them to her while she sat behind the desk
