I have used this facility for many years. Even before they became Brazos Forest Products. Yesterday I referred the contractor whose making repairs on my house to them for beadboard as that’s where I got the beadboard that had to be replaced in my house. They sold four pieces of totally unusable product. Two hundred dollars worth I might add. You can’t put two sheets together edge to edge on the wall as the pattern does not match. We asked that they rip about an inch off one end and maybe three quarters of an inch off the other. They were somewhat rude and refused.Prior communications with them have been good but they apparently have changed. I’m in my 70’s and have never bought an unusable product from a business that wouldn’t own up to their mistake and make it right. We did nothing wrong as when you buy something like this (paneling, beadboard, etc) that is normally made to join side by side on a wall, you assume it will do that. Not this time.BUYER BEWARE - DON’T TRUST THEM.

Ive been shopping with them for about 8 years as a hobbyist. Their prices are half of anything I can find elsewhere and the quality of the lumber is the same or better. They have always been patient with me, even when Im buying smaller quantities of several different species of lumber.If you guys would just be open on Saturday it would be even better!

Not a place for hobbits. I was there to get the estimate for my outdoor projects. The not let me in. They not let me see the product. I was there and the guy by warehouse keep saying that I have to call.Who buy hardwood over the phone?Respect people and train your guys to respectfully tell the walk-in customers that you dont selling to individuals.

LOVE THIS PLACE! We have used almost all of the hardwood suppliers in the DFW area. This place has been amazing. Always have what we need in stock and get it to us next day (most of the time). They do the BEST job of planing and straight lining the items compared to the competition. We have switched over to Brazos exclusively for our hardwood needs :-)

I’ve been here a dozen times for lumber, they’ve got a great selection on hardwoods and have milled boards ready to go in three or four common species/thicknesses. Danny is the guy who’s usually helped me and he’s a good dude! If you don’t see it in the showroom, ask and they can bring a stack to you from the warehouse. Giving four stars though because pricing isn’t clearly listed and I’ve gotten sticker shock at the register! I do recommend this place for hobbiest woodworkers like myself.

This was my first time buying hardwood by the board foot, from a lumber mill. I was a little intimated because a lot of mills arent known to be too friendly. Kenny worked with me on the phone to place my order and schedule pick up. I showed up right at opening time (7 AM), and they already had my order ready to go. Danny helped me load it up and I was on my way. The people at Brazos made me feel comfortable, and I was surprised at how friendly and outgoing everyone was that early in the morning. Great first experience! Also, there are no local mills can beat their prices.

Been going here for all my lumber needs since it was called Paxtons. Over 12 yrs and have never had a negative experience. I build and repair guitars and like to source some of the wood locally. Brazos has a lot of what I need from Spanish cedar, Walnut, Mahogany and many other exotic woods. Javier has always been very helpful and has even helped me find the quartersawn boards I always need. Thanks Brazos you have a loyal customer for life.

Great place! I drove around town looking for somewhere to buy hardwood and they didnt care at all that I came in just for one board. They grabbed a whole stack for me and the guy helped me grab the one I want.

Been a few times. Place is okay, not a huge selection, no more than 5-10 boards available for walk-ins. Furniture grade pine was out of stock two of the times I went. Not the best place for hobbyists/small shops. Most of their milled (s4s, straight line ripped) wood needs to be further refined.

Actually closes at 430 now. Havent updated website. Manager acts like hes too cool for school . Very snooty. Fair prices but dont care come near their closing time. Theyll run you off.

Wish they would list some prices on the wood in stock. The one that I liked the best was 24.00 post board foot.
