Purchased a generator from these guys and they were great to work with! Vince is who helped me, and he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things and answer questions. After I purchased they unboxed and did setup, checked oil, put in gas, all at no added cost. Vince helped me load it up and made sure I didnt have any trouble getting the heavy thing into my vehicle. Havent seen such great customer service in a while - Ill definitely be back and highly recommend.
From an former employees family members point of view, this is my take.The general manager of this establishment has the attitude of being high school bully. He was asked to provide equipment necessary to do the job and not only made fun of said employee, but refused to provide the equipment needed to complete the task per OSHA regulation.There are several other far worse incidents to mention, however the owner is supportive of the 50 year old high school bully and refuses to address any situation with this manager. From my understanding this company has lost multiple employees because of this general manager.

Not super impressed. I took my mower in because the battery wouldnt hold a charge and needed to be replaced (still under warranty). Storm kept it for three weeks and told me they charged the battery and there was nothing wrong with it. I took it home and it ran for 2 minutes before it died -- exactly the reason I took it to them in the first place.Edit: I’ve got to give Vince credit, he is working to make the best of a bad situation and I’m adding some stars back. Toro on the other hand…..

Good locally operated power equipment dealer. They had a better selection and value than the big box stores. My mower was delivered the very next business day verses weeks of delay.
Took a chainsaw to get fixed was told it has 30 days warranty went to pick it up to do a job showed up at work site did not work took the chainsaw back was told they would look at it anything else they would find wrong with it they would charge me what kind of warranty is that it worked perfect before I took it in it was just a simple fix (oil pump)
Great customer service
Just bought a Toro Zero Turn lawn mower from Storm Lawn and Garden and it was a 1st class experience as we received incredible service and I just mowed for the first time with the Toro and it blew away my Dixie Chopper in performance. I would highly recommend this place.
The best service
I agree with Dave Gonzales review from a year ago minus the strong language. While I am glad to have a family owner business in the city, I feel their customer service skills need improving, especially the lady behind the counter. She is not friendly and does not act very happy to be there. Kinda makes me feel like she is doing me a favor by waiting on me. I think all the associates there could greet customers a little friendlier. Customers help make your business the success it is.
For too many years now, this business has been there for me when Ive needed a part for my outdoor equipment. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about every part that has to do with any machine Ive brought to them. Id recommend these guys over any competitor in or outside the grand prairie area.

Has had my lawnmower since April 8 sd two weeks when I dropped it off now going on 2 mo only communicaton I get is when I call them no calling me with updates got City of GP trying to write me a ticket had to pay someone to mow my yard they offered me a loaner mower but that was just last week

Took lawn mower and weed eater in for maintenance and repair in early spring. Spent $250+ and 10+ days later got them home and weed eater was not repaired and had to be returned. Was told they had trouble with the quality of some of the jobs completed by a certain technician and he had worked on our equipment so we were ask to bring it back, which we did. Lawnmower was stored after return in lieu of using another mower. took it out to use for first time couple weekends ago and push start that was in perfect working condition and fully charged before being taken to the shop does not work now while charger light indicates it is fully charged. The bill we received clearly charged for check of ALL working components and a run check and walk behind. Obviously the push start was not utilized on that check or it would have been noticed that something was damaged during the maintenance and repair.While this may be the closest repair shop to home, I will now have to send to shop again and likely pay to repair a problem that didnt even exist before it was worked on. Will probably not use Storm again. They used to be great place to do business with, but their quality of service has declined while the counter help has become somewhat rude over the years and their princes are extremely high.

Great, great, great. Everyone is very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful. They fixed my 15 year old Honda mower: New crank shaft, basic tweaks & tuneup stuff. Runs great and they support their work. Very affordable esp over the cost of buying a new one.
I normally don’t review publicly but i think that this issue needs to get fixed. I bought a lawnmower in March of 2019 and broke about two weeks ago(Nov). I was told by the customer service clerk at Lowes that since it broke within that same year that the manufacturer warranty could get it fixed and i can still use my store warranty for a later time so i did. When I brought it in I was told that they were going to cal me whenever they find the issue to give me an estimate. There was a call from them just telling me that it was good and that I could pick it up but i had to pay for the repairs, first of all i had no call from them saying that they were going to fix it and i obviously didn’t get a call so that they can tell me an estimate. I get it it must not have been alot of money for the fix but still i am short in money and the least they could do is follow their policy. And when I dropped it off the person that helped me did not say that i had to pay a fee to take a look at it. If that was the case then I should’ve just gotten a new one without me paying. Next time, please tell your customers ahead if you’re going to charge for any fees or something man like damn. And the lady that I answered the phone was kind of rude and hunged up on me when i was trying to get an explanation of why i had to pay. I get it that the mechanic has to get paid but at least tell me that in advance. Fix your customer service too especially from the lady.
Went inside and asked for a part....the old lady behind the desk was bothered by having to get off her ass to check her stock....I left and drove to Arlington (And I live in G.P.) but that place can kiss my ass for life! Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere I dont care how long theyve been there ...That is not cool(I have never left a review in my life period Im not one to complain)

Got to call it like i see it, they might be good a fixing some things but I brought in an Echo blower for a fuel leak, for whatever reason they cant fix the problem, this was the 3rd and final, strike 3 Im out..... the fact theyve been around a long time tells me, theyre either burned out or they just dont care. Seems like its a little bit of both.
Excellent experience. I bought a Honda Mower. They know their stuff, and dont sell junk. Their price was same as the big box store, so I opted to support the local business. This is a family owned business that has been here since they dug the river. That cant happen unless they know their business and are honest. I plan on doing more business in the future at Storms.

I like this place. It is a family run business that at times is simply swamped. I buy most of parts here, and I have my equipment serviced here. I have bought many mowers from them as well.They sell residential John Deere but not commercial. They sell residential and commercial Toro Mowers. They carry Wright Mowers too.They have a Honda line, Stihl, and Echo equipment. They also carry Gators. They just added another line of commercial mowers so the product offering is expanding.They are competitive on equipment and parts. They are also fair on repairs but lead times can be slow on repairs. For the most part the counter staff is happy to describe how to do basic services on your equipment when you are buying parts.They willing to try and get you up and going on simple stuff but diagnostics, estimates and engine repairs are are weeks out. I guess that is to be expected.
You can avoid repairs by taking care of your equipment. If you need to have repairs Storm will take good care of you .

Do your self a favor and check herebefore you go to some other place and have to pay a lot more. If they dont stock an item they can get it pretty quick, (2-3 days). Family Owned one of the few lawn supply business thats been around in DFW this long!!! I dont normally write reviews but im writing this one. You simple cant go wrong here. 10/10
