I would not recommend this place. I had cataract surgery 3 years ago. I have been miserable ever since. The Dr. did not Communicate with me as to what he was planning on doing. I thought it was a going to have a very different outcome. I now have to wear a contact in one eye. It’s like an assembly line in that place. It’s not comfortable. Culture shock. I know several people that have also regretted going here. They all have a problem with their eyes. I wish I would have never gone to here…
The place is woke! Full on mask fear mania. I showed my face mask exemption card and they asked to see it, they inspected it, then they took a copy of it!They would not allow me to receive their services even though they have the choice, unless I wore a face mask - everyone knows they dont work. I decided to wear the mask just because I wanted another price for Lasik surgery to compare to. So lets see what happens.
I worked with Chavella, she was very knowledgeable and listen to my concerns. Her patience as professional was evident as we tried on at least a 50 pairs of glasses! Eventually going with one of the first pair of glasses she had showed me (I am so sorry, I should listen to you sooner). Even with Covid being a concern(everyone wore a mask) and each pair needing to be sanitized after I touch them. Wow! The staff was full of smiles and made me feel very comfortable. I have shopped at some of the big box stores for most my life this experience has made me a customer of Grand Rapids Ophthalmology for life. Thank you Chavella and staff for the wonderful experience! I ❤️,❤️my glasses
Grand Rapids Opthalmology, BlueSkyVision, SeeItClear, and whatever business names they utilize is a mediocre practice at best. Having submitted to the LASIK procedure over a decade ago (with Dr. C) I advised other family members to forgone that procedure based on reversion of my near-sightedness to pre-surgery values within two years. Although the doctor offered to repeat the surgery (charging me $$ again), it wasn’t worth the risk of worsening the presbyopia that the surgery induced. I also felt (as some other reviews have stated) that detrimental effects of the surgery hadn’t been well explained prior to surgery. However, I felt GRO was safe enough for my family to receive general optometrist services so we have been customers for many years. This was primarily because a decade ago it seemed they were the largest practice, with a near monopoly on the GR market at the time.As another low rating Reviewer notes they do utilize Optometrists (not MD Opthalmologists) for most, if not all, optometry services. And yes, they will likely arrive in their white coats and not inform you of that unless you ask! Recently, as my vision and eyes have aged I’ve been extremely pleased to see University affiliated practices opening branches at nearby hospitals. Also, family member visits during the past two years have underscored that this is not a patient-focused practice, just try to get them to provide you a copy of an itemized billing statement when you check-out and pay.We are now switching to one of what we feel is the higher quality practices in the area. I’m unsure why there aren’t more critical reviews of this practice (perhaps they attempt to remove or rebut them - another sign of a shoddy business IMO), however, that is fine with my family as it leave more openings at the higher quality Opthalmology practices now in the area!
I have been coming to GR Opthomology for many years and Dr. Barrett is always knowledgeable, informative, helpful and personable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my eye care. All the staff and optical workers are friendly and great to work with. I know I’m in good hands.
Unfortunately, I have to write a negative review. I was seen by Dr. Norris while she was on call. She was very polite and kind. However, I had told her my symptoms and what I believed to be was wrong (a detached retina). She did a couple of tests and decided to diagnose me with an extremely rare diagnosis instead (Adies Tonic Pupil). I had the telltale signs of a detached retina: loss of vision, dilated pupil, and sensitivity to light. In addition to these signs, I also mentioned that my previous doctors had warned me that I was at risk for a detached retina in my right eye. This was all dismissed. I was told to go home and that my eye should get better in a few days.Well, that was not correct. Thank goodness I didn’t believe her diagnosis and went to receive a second opinion a couple of days later. A tech was able to diagnoses me within 5 minutes with a detached retina and I was rushed into an emergency surgery.I have permanent loss of vision in my peripheral vision and my vision consists of squiggly lines any time I read words with my right eye now.Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Dr. Norris due to my experience with her negligence with my care. When I called the office upon receiving the bill, I asked to speak to someone in regard of the bill, I was prompted to leave a message. I did this and never was spoken to. I am very disappointed with my experience with this practice.
They took time with me and I didnt feel like just a number. Good place to work with, thank you. Recommend to my family.
Ive been very impressed with this organization & my eye surgeries. The only thing I think needs to be changed is the amount of time spent before being able to see the doctor. I was just there on Tuesday & my time with the doctor was about three minutes, but the wait to see him was about an hour!
Had great service here! Dr. Vandenberg was very informative, knowledgeable and friendly. Really enjoy going to this location for my eye care needs.
Halley Love.. Thank you so much for the amazing customer service today. I am sure that what you did was quite routine but you did it with joy and excellence. You brightened my day!
This doctor was amazing. its been quite awhile since ive had a dr to explain everything to me in a manner in which i understood. really felt much better when i left the office. I would highly recommend her.
Outstanding experience by all personnel involved in my cataract procedure. Dr Tomaselli answered all my questions clearly and never made me feel rushed. To a person, from initial to post op, everyone performed above expectation and made me feel important and comfortable. Thank you
Awful Awful Service. Scheduled evaluation with Dr. Cowden never even got to see him and was summarily dismissed telling me to schedule another appointment if I wanted an update on my prescription and I did not qualify for Lasik? Who made that determination? I set aside three hours of my day as they told me that my eyes would be dialated etc. I was summarily dismissed without ever seeing the actual Dr. after 45 minutes and never getting any in put from the actual doctor I will never recommend this office or this business to anyone.
Have delt with this doctor previously awesome job the first go around and know the second one will be equal highly recommend him
I was seen by Tomas Cowden, MD for a LASIK consultation. The check-in process was efficient and I was placed in a room shorty after arrival. The assistant who processed my intake was friendly and personable. However, once Dr. Cowden entered the room, the experience went downhill quickly. He left the exam door room wide open offering no sense of privacy. He immediately informed me of a diagnosis without any explanation based on one test preformed. Additionally no other treatment options were discussed, simply stating I would have to be monitored annually by an optomologist. It felt like he did not have any interest in my case and wanted to move on quickly to the next patient.
Dr. Kendall did an excellent job. Very professional and considerate.
Dr. Tomaselli is very friendly, and reassuring. More importantly she is very knowledgable, capable and from my experience, I cant imagine any better professional to trust with your eyesight.
Great people, environment, and quality. Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is the only place I trust with something as precious as my eyesight.
Short wait and courteous and professional treatment were much appreciated.
I have been pleased with services, friendly staff, and relatively short wait times.
Ellen is very upbeat and engaging. I took my son in for a yearly visit and this was our 1st time at Lakeshore. She took her time with him and made our visit a breeze. Well definitely return next year !
Excellent job on my eyes fix my cataracts and helped with my collapsed retina dr cowan is very good and does excellent work thanks again
Excellent people. Great knowledge and skills.
Everyone made me feel comfortable. I couldn’t ask for a better place to get my eye done.
Completely unhelpful. Didnt believe my fiance when she told them what was wrong with her eye and didnt even attempt to come up with any solutions. Ignored all her concerns and sent her on her way with no help.
Excellent care and follow up.
I drove 6 hrs to get to this appointment only to be told that their technician had gone home. A courtesy call would have been nice. They did not offer to make any accommodations with another provider. Very poor customer service.
It is agreat place people are very friendly.
Went to the 68th street location and met Robin D. and she was a God sent. Needed nose pads for a discontinued frame and she took the time to look and ordered them for me. Saved me from having to order new frame. She was very helpful and professional. Thank you again Robin! You were very kind!
Literally saved my husbands vision. Came here after a previous optometrist told my husband he had eye herpes. The pain and redness came back and GR ophthalmology told us it was an eye fungus, things have been improving every since! The ophthalmologist we saw first sent us right into see a corneal specialist. It is so important to have health care professionals who know to refer when something is beyond their expertise! Thank you Grand Rapids Ophthalmology!!!
Very caring staff as well as Dr. Cowden. They were all very professional as well as competent. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this office. Great about followup. Couldnt have asked for better.
I believe that absolute trust in the professional skills, dedication, and commitment to patient wellness are essential when choosing a doctor, especially an eye surgeon. This is exactly the care I received during cataract surgery 4 years ago and when it was determined I needed some additional work there was only one place I wanted to go (Grand Rapids Opthomology) and to have Dr Barret perform the procedure. I am most grateful to live in an area that affords me and my family such excellent medical care.
Worst patient care I have ever experienced or seen! After multiple phone calls of being dismissed for the eye drops I needed and was prescribed and the attempts to remedy the situation and never recieving a call back. I called and explained that I was not going to pay a $45 co-pay for care I never received, thought everything was done and we could just go our separate ways. Instead today I have a past due bill in my mail box, please feel free to take me to court for $45 because I will not pay it and I will be showing it to my lawyer since my insurance was billed.
The 2 laser procedures were done with great care and skills. Dr Barret also performed both cataract surgeries 5 years ago. Grand Rapids Opthomology has wonderful personnel who are well trained and efficient. I am very pleased with the results of my eye treatments and will continue to use them in the future.
I was very pleased with Dr. Barrett’s discussion of any future cataract surgery for my eyes. It was information that I had not heard before. I appreciate his knowledge, and learning about the situation with my eyes well in advance of any such surgery.
It was a great experience. O wasnt there long before they already knew what my problem was, and then they even got me in right away before the end of the year to correct myproblem so I wouldnt loose my flex money.....You guys are Awesome!! Thank you!
Ive been getting my eye care from Grand Rapids Ophthalmology at the East Beltline location for over 10 years and Im very happy with the care I receive, from new glasses to cataract surgery and follow-up care. What nice, knowledgeable people! I recommend them whenever I have the chance.
I am so privileged to have an eye care team composed by two of the most outstanding human beings on top of being stellar medical professionals. Dr. Gindzen and Dr. Barrett treat their patients with empathy and this makes me feel at ease as someone who has experienced vision problems since age 3.Thank you both for your dedication and excellent care.
I went in for a Lasik consultation, and had an honest discussion with the doctor, and we determined that the surgery was not right for me at this time. I appreciated the honesty, and did not feel like I was getting any kind of a sales pitch for the surgery. I was presented options, but am now content with how things are, and glad that we had the discussion!
I had one eye done to remove a cataract and replace the lens and cannot believe the difference already. I am cant wait to get other eye done! Dr. Maullem and his staff are very professional and personable.
Grand Rapids Ophthalmology does a great job. I have been going to David Barrett for 15 years and he is an outstanding Ophthalmologist. I have been very happy with the care he has provided over those years. As much as Grand Rapids Ophthalmology is a large practice,I feel the care I have received there has far exceeded much smaller practices I have worked with in various parts of the country over many years.
If I could I would give this no stars at all.I am my grandmas only means on transporting back and forth for her appointments since she has glaucoma in both eyes and is unable to drive. I made sure her appointment today, December 17th, 2018, was four hours before I would have to go to work. Giving us enough time for her to be seen and go home. Her appointment was at 3:00 pm. And I was running ahead of schedule at brought her at 2:30 pm, it is now 5:10 pm and we still havent been seen by her ACTUAL doctor. One of the techs or assistants had told us there were still three other patients ahead of her.You would think itd be customary to notify their patients if wait times would be longer than usual. Or if they made a mistake and overbooked appointments for this date.Honestly it is VERY ridiculous with how this place works, weve seen patients who have come in after we had and leave before we were able to!If I could choose, I would NEVER choose this company in my ENTIRE life. Not for my grandmother, not for my children, and not for myself.Be more considerate for the times of others. I work at a four diamond restaurant and if we were to overbook or if we made an error, we notify the guests. Not let them wait for a table for two hours.Thanks.
The doctor was knowledgeable, and very helpful he explained what was going on. What I could expect. This is always helpful. Ive been coming to Grand Rapids Ophthalmology for many years now for my diabetic eye test. I wont go anywhere else.
Complete confidence in Dr. Barrett. Had one cataract “repaired” with the other eye scheduled in a month. My sight is so much better!
Everyone is super nice here. I can feel like I can call them about anything eye related and get relevant information without much delay.
I have needed corrective lenses for over 30 years and this is the absolute WORST optometrist office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I had come to this office thinking that I would get state of the art care, I was wrong. The equipment they use for eye examinations is antiquated and the procedures leading up to the exam take forever, but the exams themselves are quick and not thorough at all. The doctor seemed more interested in matching my old prescription than determining what was best for me at that moment in time and in the future. Not only that, but she caused damage to my eye that lasted months during the glaucoma testing. I have never had a problem with glaucoma testing before, but I ended up with a scratched cornea from her constant poking and it took forever for my eye to respond properly to light afterwords. When I finished with my exam, the doctor told me that my prescription had not changed. Thats fine. What isnt fine is that they asked me what type of contacts I wore and I told them. Instead they gave me some trial contacts to wear although there was nothing wrong with my old contacts. I couldnt see out of the trial contacts and told them immediately. The contacts also didnt allow as much air to flow through them and I could feel them on my eyes. My contacts were very thin and extended wear. They told me to wear them for a week and then get back in touch with them. Thats absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I called them again immediately when I got home and told them that those contacts would not work and I wanted the same contacts as my old ones. They went ahead and prescribed the contacts that didnt work and had the nerve to tell me that the contacts I wanted didnt exist. I still have the packaging from my old contacts and told them exactly what the box said and that I had already looked at the manufacturers website and they did exist. They said they would comply. Well, here it is three months later and they still havent corrected their mistake. The contacts were never discontinued by the manufacturer and I know this because I called the manufacturer. Grand Rapids Opthalmologys incompetence caused me to waste my insurance benefits by dealing with them. Never again will I go there and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
I was very impressed with how well trained and professional the staff at GR Ophthalmology are. Dr. Hamilton was very empathetic and I felt truly cared about her patients experience and well being. I would highly recommend her.
I had an appointment with Dr. Muallem, and as usual he was very professional and polite. He listened to my questions, gave me recommendations and information pertinent to my condition. All in all a very pleasant appointment.
Slight wait to get a surgery scheduled due to a new doctor starting the day I was there, but overall my appointment went smoothly with very pleasant and courteous staff that answered any questions that I had. Nice change! Thank you to everyone I met.
BEWARE of how they are scheduling their appointments and their billing practices. Called to schedule a vision check appointment under our vision insurance (copay of $15), but it was scheduled as a medical appointment resulting in a $152 bill. Have been speaking to billing since end of April with a total of 7 phone calls never returned by the manager and director. Today I get a notice threatening to send me to collections. After 7 years, we will be finding a new place.Update: Glad I received a return phone call but I wish it didnt require a negative social media review to get a response. I hope that communication can be improved between patients and providers and scheduling/billing is more clear to patients.
The responsiveness of Grand Rapids Ophthalmology to the wide variety of optical needs has been astounding. I strongly recommend their eye care and surgical services to anyone in need.
It’s the best. Dr. David Barrett saved my eye sight. I had cateract surgery by a Doctor that caused my vision to be worse than when I started. Dr. Barrett corrected my vision to 20/20. I highly recommend him. Thank you.
It seems that people only take the time to make a comment when they had a bad time. For my part, I had a great experience at the East Beltline location of Grand Rapids Ophthalmology. All of the staff was courteous and professional and the waiting areas are comfortable and inviting. After my new glasses arrived, I found that they didnt fit very well and were causing a blister on my nose so I went back in and had them fitting perfectly back on my face within 20 minutes. Im impressed by the service and happy to be a patient. Id recommend this to anyone. Of course, as with all of us, people can have a bad day and that can sometimes translate into how they treat a customer, but that can happen anywhere and I would say that by and large, that isnt the norm for Grand Rapids Ophthalmology.
I have experienced the best with Dr Muallen and his staff. He was very informative, highly skilled, and patient oriented. I have developed trust in his ethics and integrity. He was honest and to the point. He made great recommendations. In my circumstance I am genuinely appreciative and happy with Dr Muallen.
I had an appointment on August 18 at 3:10 pm came to my appointment 30 minutes early they told me my scheduled appointment was canceled due to they don’t have my correct phone number. Despite the fact that i did get an email communicatatin confirming my appointment
Met Dr. Barrett to discuss cataract surgery. He explained the procedure and my options. I had many questions, and he answered each one patiently and completely. I highly recommend Dr. Barrett.
Dr. Cowden was extremely brief. Hello, do you have any questions? Ill see you in a little while. My questions had been answered by other members of the staff so I had none for him. He was off to the next patient. I felt like I was in an assembly line. I am, however, very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and anticipate good results from the same procedure on the other eye. This form is very difficult for persons with eye problems. The light blue does not show up well, making the stars and instructions very vague.
Dr Kendall was very patient in explaining about my condition and the surgery procedure itself. The staff at Ionia and Grand Rapids was very caring and helpful with all of my concerns. Definitely recommend them if you have any eye concerns.
Dr. Diekema was thorough and professional. Nice office staff and facility as well. Selection of frames great too.
I was terrified to get my procedure done as i have not ever had anything done with my eyes before. On the day of my surgery i was greeted with friendly staff, taken in right away and was constantly reassured that everything was going to be fine not only from the nurses but by the anesthesiologist and also Dr. Cowden, himself. I am so glad that everything went smoothly also that i was made to feel comfortable during the entire visit. I would definately recommend Grand Rapids Ophthalmology to anyone whom is looking to have services concerning their eyes.
I was really impressed by the service I received there. Very professional staff. The Dr I saw, Dr David Barrett was super I am now waiting for their surgical staff to call me and set up appointment for my cateract surgery
Dr Barrett has always been really professional and yet very personable. He explains whats transacting in easy to understand verbiage. Thanks Dr Barrett.
Staff was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I was evaluated for Lasik. I had an eval, met with the doctor, and then the scheduler. The transitions were smooth and I didn’t have to wait long at any point. Everyone was great.
Everyone at this office was so polite. It is rare to find an office where everyone seems happy to assist you. I would recommend them to everyone.
I had a terrible experience here. The Dr was rude to me, was condescending, acted like I was crazy and couldnt seem to get my prescription right. In the a 30 years Ive been wearing glasses Ive never had problems like this. On top of it all he never took care of the original problem I came in for which was a scratched cornea, he wrote me off and told me there was nothing more to be done. I went back to my regular Dr who referred me to a specialist stating there was no reason I should be dealing with the issues I was left with at GR Opthalmology.
Due to my wifes eye problems we have seen 3 different eye specialists in the last 3 months, including the U of M. Grand Rapids Opthomology is the best. They were prompt and Dr. Muallem was thorough and explained things clearly. My wife is confined to a wheelchair and they were very accommodating.
I have been there one time prior to my last visit, and experienced decent service. This time, however, was not the same. I scheduled my appointment with their central call center. I told them I would like to go to the last location I visited on East Beltline. She said okay thats in Caledonia. Im not from the area, so I assumed it would be at the location I requested. It wasnt. So after they would not see me, they scheduled me in Walker. I realized I couldnt make it in time, so I went back in to cancel and reschedule. One woman was discussing rescheduling with me, when another woman, with a beautiful bowl-cut, rudely interrupted our conversation directing me to the back of a line. I had already been in line, and barely stepped out of the door before coming back to reschedule. One woman understood that I was justified to come right back up, since I did take time off work. It was rude and offensive so I no longer wanted to do business with them.I called to talk about it and request a prescription from the previous year since it is still good. I left a message on Wednesday stating my insurance runs out on Thursday, so I need to act fast. I received a call on Friday. Those people are really good at their jobs!!
My initial consultation was very thorough. The questions about my history were clearly explained. Dr Suderman and staff gave me a feeling of confidence about managing my pain.
I was given the diagnosis of diabetic blindness, diabetic retinopathy by Shoreline Vision in Fremont. Then a 3rd dr there told me that all my eye problems were from my migraines. So I went to GR Ophthalmology for a second opinion. I DID NOT have diabetic retinopathy and all my eye problems were NOT only due to migraines. Some of it was from migraines and I do have diabetic changes but again NOT going blind! I will always go to GR Opth and NEVER to Shoreline again. It was devastating when they told me I was going blind (Im in a wheelchair). I bought a computer and was going to have a voice program installed on it, I bought a mobility stick, my insurance arranged for a pill pack company to come and handle all my prescriptions, I was planning on giving my little dog away cuz I didnt want to run into it with my wheelchair and hurt it, my oldest son wanted me to go into assisted living, I told all my family and friends the diagnosis of blindness!!! The emotional roller coaster they had me on was cruel! So I am extremely grateful to GR Ophthalmology! I will continue my eyecare with them. Thank you so very much GR Ophthalmology!!!!
Im extremely happy with my LASIK results!! Dr. Muallem and the rest of the staff I encountered were all wonderful. Best decision I couldve made!
I have been going to GR Opthmalogy for several years now and I’m very pleased with there staff and my treatments.
I had cataract extraction with lens implants in both of my eyes. Everything was handled professionally. Dr Barretts staff was professional, listened to my concerns and needs. They explained everything they were doing. Preop, intraop and post op experience was perfect. I was well taken care of and everything was explained and handled professionally. I was given phone numbers if I had any concerns or problems. Didnt need or use them as, everything proceeded without any problems. I highly recommend Grand Rapids Ophthalmology...GJG
Dr Hamilton, Was able to see me within 2 hrs of making a call to the associate office manager at the Grand Rapids location! I had two previous pair of new glasses, and there was problems with both, Dr Hamilton within a few min found the problem with previous pair, just want to say thanks again, especially being on a Friday!
Dr Cowden and his staff do a wonderful job taking care of you..Thank you so much for making me comfortable and well care for. But most of all thank you for my wonderful vision.
Very professional staff. Doctor Cowden told me the way it was, and what needed to be done to correct my vision. Very pleased do far.
They caught the problem with my eye and sent me to a specialist and he had me in to do an emergency operation. He explain everything very carefully so I knew the options. They probably ended up saving my eye.
I found Dr Barrett to be very personable in the short time in his presence and feel confident of his ability to operate on my eyes
The Dr was very thourough in his explanations well mannered i am confident in him
Doctor Kendall was very caring and attentive, and is doing everything he can even though there is not much that can be done to help my eyes
The staff was so kind and helpful. I asked questions and the staff answered with knowledge. The office was busy but the staff made me feel like I was their only concern.Dr. Cowden easied my fear of a transplant. I was amazed at the photos of my eyes. It was my pleasure to meet him.
Always a pleasure visiting GR Ophthalmology. Dr Barrett and assistants were terrific.
I can see pure white and real blue again! I didn’t realize I was seeing everything thru a yellow/greenish filter. I couldn’t believe the color of the blue sky this morning compared the blue/grayish color thru the other eye.
Not inexpensive, but certainly very good care and service. In the end, I think it is still a very good value for something as important as your sight.
The eye he did us great! Just dont like having to wait 6 weeks for the other eye but it is the holiday season! ;)
I was very well taken care of professionally and with kindness and understanding.
Unless you are white you will be treated quite poorly from this place. I had the worst experience when it came to the care of my eyes, the optometrist and tech were very friendly and supportive but I am aiming this poor review towards the customer service/front desk team. Everything went smooth until it came to the waiting time to pick up my glasses, mind you they made me wait for nearly a month without even once contacting me about the status of my glasses (until I had to reach out to them first), I had to call them on 3 separate occasions to find out whats going on and even they didnt have the answers for me. When it came to the time for the fitting, Natalie, the worker who was adjusting the glasses for me made the statement of Im usually very good at this but with your kind, your structure is giving me a hard time. Oh you know sorry that my kind my bridge was built differently and you just had to struggle a bit to get it right. I wouldnt have minded if she just said she had a hard time rather than adding on that extra comment about the physical features of my race. I dont plan to come back to this facility and will be taking my eye care services elsewhere.
Dr. Barrett is one of the nicest men Ive ever met
The staff is great. Very friendly, doesnt matter if they are working with normal everyday person or someone who is a bit of a challenge.
Great doctor, fine surgeon and the best bedside manner. Always takes the time to answer your questions and ease any concerns
Good phycisians. Messy mixup in the Setting up appointments department, I received confusing phone calls and verivications. The set up appointment on line failed 2 year in a row. I never heard back. Generally long waits though my last visit went pretty smootly.
Dr Muellem is a good eye doctor and am disappointed that he has so many patients that he is sending me to another one of the GRO eye doctors. He will be working more with patients that need surgery and I dont need any surgery right now. Hopefully I will like the doctor that he is referring me to. She is also from GRO.
Excellent care from the start... Great staff and a fantastic doctor. Going to recommend GRO to my friends and family... Thank you Dr. Muallem
The registration was a breeze. Had a bit of a problem finding a spot in the waiting room because I was in a power chair. Waiting area was very clean. Assistant called me back and took me the easiest way for my wheelchair to check my vision, eye pressure and dialate my eyes. Took me to the waiting area while my eyes dilated. I was put in an exam room where Dr. Barrett came and did my diabetic eye exam proficiently and interested in any concerns I had. Released I checked out and left. All of the staff and Dr. Barrett were all very professional and kind. Grand Rapids Ophthalmology at 68th St, is an office I would recommend to others with out hesitation.
Dr. Muallem was an outstanding physician and fully explained my condition. I feel completely confident to proceed with the surgery he recommended.
Dr. Diekema is simply the best! Great patient skills and easy to understand.
Love Dr. Muallem at Grand Rapids Ophthalmology. He is a great doctor who cares deeply for his patients.
My appointment went well. Everyone was nice & professional. I just wish I’d been sent home with information about the glaucoma i was diagnosed with. I dont know much at all. I’ve had to Google it. I also have not received a call -text about the eye drops prescription i was told i need, from Parkwood pharmacy. My appointment was on Tuesday 2/13. Any help would be niceJanet Durvesh .
Have tried many places and GR Opthalmology is by far the best place, staff is great!
Dr Barrett and his complete team were awesome, including Karen, Clair, Patty and Greg to name a few.
