My husband and I stopped in to see if they could fix his glasses and Bill helped us right away. He was able to fix them and was so great to talk with! 11/10 would return!

Unfortunately my glasses got pretty bent, but I went into Lens Crafters and Allison was able to help me get my glasses looking brand new! Only took a couple of minutes for her to completely fix them!

I cant sing their praises enough. Im embarrassed to say but, I forgot the amazing womans name who helped me. I was having an issue with my insurance and she was so beyond helpful and patient. We didnt get the insurance figured out but, she still found me a great discount I qualified for and I was still able to get the glasses Ive been wanting for the last two years!!! Thanks so much for the help and the drive for customer service. Its an hour drive for me but, well worth it and now they have a customer for life.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else for prescription glasses. Dr Hunt and Dr Hoffhines are excellent. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, up on the latest technology, and eye fashions. The staff is the reason I drive from East Lansing for the past 8 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
It was way past time to replace my prescription and Id never considered LensCrafters. I went there because it was open on Saturday. They were busy, yet attentive to each customer. From appointment to paying took 1.5 hours. But these things take time to do them right. Bill the manager even popped my wifes lenses into new frames when the lenses differed by 1 mm from the frame size. Since her old frames were literally falling apart, she was over the moon. Now my glasses will be ready way before school starts and I am a happy guy.

Was there for a checkup about a week or 2 ago. The ladies in the store working were great and the optometrist was fantastic. Also bonus points for being LGBT friendly staff 👏 😄

Expect to spend a lot of time here. Spent two hours there for an eye exam and contact lens purchase and still had to come back for a second visit. They don’t answer the phone or return voicemails. The doctors are great, it’s the sales floor that takes so long

Dont really understand how I ordered new lenses and frames on the same day. The lesnes arrived but they told me I had to order my frames again because they ran out/ didnt have the blue frames I wanted.... it was 2 weeks ago and no one noticed/ordered those frames for my order I placed 2 weeks ago?? now I was told id have to wait another week just so they could finally order the frames I ordered 2 weeks ago? Im confused and kinda upset to be honest....The frames I chose were apparently out of stock.I appreciate, that they are making it right im glad they care about my satisfaction. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Really patient and gives you time to think about your purchase. I had to update my review.
Fantastic service the day my wife and I came in and had our exams and placed orders for two new sets of eye wear nearly $800.00 spent in storeFairly quick timing to have them ready for usWent to pick them up yesterday women seemed as if she could care less handed me my glasses they had finger prints all over them I had to clean them myself 😤😤 took absolutely zero time to adjust my wifes new glasses just in general it was fairly obvious she just wanted us gone !!!!!To top off this experience they didnt even offer a lens cleaning kit cloth nothingAlthough the prescriptions seem good Ill likely never go back
So unfortunately the current assistant manager at this location Michal, is rude and uninviting to patients and customers and with how much LC charges for glasses, the least the employees can do is show great customer service. Will not be a returning customer as I was before.
Whenever I come to the Woodland mall location. I received the best customer service and Courtney in particular is very professional.

EDIT: They sent me a link through a live chat. Same one owner provided at the bottom of this review. They said 5 business day for me to hear back. Its past that. I contacted live chat again, and they said that the only note was that someone was supposed to contact me. He then said its been escalated to the regional manager and to wait another 5 business days to hear back. Guess when someone feels discriminated they just keep postponing addressing the issue... very disappointed.I feel conflicted. I had such a good experience at first. Which was then soured by the experience of picking up my glasses. Everything went fantastic my first day. Dr. Phil was incredibly nice and informative during my exam and Lisa was amazing at helping me pick my frames.Lisa told me that I would a get text mssg when my frames with my prescription where ready. I got the text and I called and they said to just show up, no need for appointment. I drove out the next day after work 45 mins to pick them up. I got there and said I was there to pick my glasses up. Understandably, I was asked to sit and wait for a bit since the lady was currently tending to another gentleman at the time. Here was my issue, a man walks in after I have come, I clearly hear him say hes there to pick up his glasses. Same reason Im there right? However, they sit him up front and the lady while tending to the other gentleman goes and gets the glasses of the man that walked in after me. Asks him to make sure that they fit well. Meanwhile, Im just sitting there still waiting and only after they send him on his way do they decide to ask me for my name and look for my frames. This seemed very unprofessional to me. The man that walked in after is white. I am clearly not. The two staff in the location were white as well. I cant really think of any other reason this would go down this way. I was internally so upset, just wanted to leave. Stayed long enough to make sure the frames werent loose but didnt really pay attention to how they looked. Gave my best fake smile and got out. Just the next morning did I notice that theyre crooked and I really am not looking forward to going back in there to get them corrected. 🥴

Worst customer service I have ever had. Helped people coming in the door rather than my family that was just waiting to order glasses and leave. Everyone had already been seen by the doc. We have come here for over 10 years we will not be back.

I called before arriving, and spoke with Angela #758390. I asked her what accommodations the store has for persons who can not wear a mask (health exemption). I also said that any I had no concerns with the alleged virus and sanitation issues. She said I could come to the store. Ipon arrival, Angela also helped me with my eyewear prescription written by GR Ophthalmology. Angela excelled in every area of customer service. Contrary that of GR Ophthalmology, who treated me like I had leprosy (no mask), and told me never to return. I had been a patient there for 20 years. Filling my prescription only took about 15 minutes. I need to aslo mention that Sams club refused service for no mask. I only thought of Lenscrafters after hearing a Health Masters radio podast mentioning that your store accepted non maskers. Thank you very much.
Sales ladies didn’t keep their masks on their faces the entire time I was in there. I was surprised they took them down, when anyone can see them do that. Even just walking by, in the mall. It’s law in Michigan to wear masks, and I know they know that. Very upsetting. I don’t recommend going there, unless you don’t care about getting the coronavirus.
I wish there were more locations than just this one in our area. The staff is very professional and helpful. I have noticed over the years that the style of glasses they are stocking are becoming a little bit more edgy and stylish. Love this!

I am so unhappy with LensCrafters, for several years they have put an astigmatism correction on my prescription. After the first time I was unable to handle the correction no note was put in my chart and now it has been put in two more times since then. Each time I go they have not told me they put this correction in, I order glasses and when they come in they have to be remade again delaying me getting new glasses by another 2-3 weeks. This time I was in on the 1st of July to get them fixed, the glasses were not sent to the lab to be processed until the 4th and now on the 11th my glasses still have not come in. After waiting months to have my exam due to covid, my current glasses are falling apart and now there is no expected arrival date on my new pair. Overall very frustrating experience and I will be looking for a new local doctor for my 2021 exam.
I was very satisfied with the exam but now feeling pretty irritated that Im still waiting for my new glasses, I was told 7-10 days and its now day 12.
Backstory: Before I ordered prescription eyeglasses from LensCrafters, I purchased them online from a different online source. Unfortunately, those glasses were too small for my head. They sent me a free return label and got me my refund in 5 days.When I ordered the next size up I decided to switch to LC. Let’s see how that went for me...I bought prescription eyeglasses from LC’s online store on May 20. On their website and you’ll find these words: “30-day Happiness Guarantee - 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Thats our promise. So, if youre not completely happy with your purchase within the first 30 days, just let us know. Well do whatever it takes to make it right.” It’s the biggest lie they tell!The glasses I bought didn’t fit my face. It took 4 days (two phone calls and an email) to get them to acknowledge me. I took the time to write an email asking for help figuring out what size I should pick for my replacement glasses I didn’t say anything about wanting a return.The reply I received completely ignored my request for help with sizing. It said they will not do exchanges and I was to use the UPS label that was attached to return the glasses. So, I sent the glasses back using the free Overnight UPS label they sent to me. They received my return eyeglasses the very next day![I had to call a third time in order to get someone to help me figure out what size I should get in the future. This was my only positive experience with LC “Customer Service”.]Almost two weeks later (June 11), when I had heard nothing from LC about my return I reached out again using Live Chat this time. That’s when I learned that LC takes 15 BUSINESS days to do the refund and reverse the use of my vision benefits so that I could order another pair of eyeglasses. And this policy was NOT extended due to COVID-19, this is their norm. When I explained how unreasonable it is to make me function without eyeglasses for so long, I was told, “We do not have a way to speed up the process as it is handled by the lab.”I may be wrong, but when LensCrafters say, “Well do whatever it takes to make it right,” they are just lying! It should read: ‘We’ll do what it takes but we’ll take more than half of the 30-days to do it and not care how it affects you.’ Save yourself the pain, do not do online business with LC.

My prescription was messed up two times in a row. The first time I was sent home with my exact prescription when I needed a stronger one. Second time (both of my eyes have the same prescription) I was sent home with two different prescriptions in each eye that were even placed on the wrong sides! The staff was nice about the situation and did their best to fix it but I am switching my optometrist.
It is already twice this store did to me. Last year, went to pick up my sun glasses two times, but it is always wrong.End up with not getting the sun glasses at all. Today, went to pick up my eye glasses, and the lenses are wrong, cant read with it. Im so very disappointed with this store, we came to pick it up from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids 1 hour drive, with this kind of failed service again.
Had my glasses adjusted today and they melted the coating on my lenses. I cannot see out of the nasal aspect of the frame. I was not notified about any policy of not covering the glasses of they damage my lenses PRIOR to having them adjusted. I spoke to Gabby, the team lead, said that they will not cover the damage even though they created the damage. Now Im out of$80 to have the lenses replaced. They wont reimburse me.
Was waiting for the doctor for 45 minutes in the exam room after checking in with the assistants and the initial exam. My girlfriend was with me and watched him start helping others who had just arrived to the front room rather than coming back to fulfill his appointment time with me. When my glasses were ready, late by the way, they could not find them as they were not organized in the least bit let alone alphabetized by name, and while looking for them dropped several other peoples glasses to the floor, I do not know if they were damaged or not, but very poor customer service overall, do not go here.
Pricing seems a bit high but everything and everyone else at this location is amazing.
All staff are friendly. I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Hunt. He pays attention to you and is informational. Visit felt personal. Staff ladies were sweet and had a smile.

I have been given half information since I ordered my glass. Here it is, the 10th day of the 7-10 Days of my order and now they tell me my glasses are on back order, then they say it takes 10-14 days for glasses. I’ve gotten plenty of glasses from Lenscrafters in the past and this is the worst location I have ever dealt with. Staff isn’t knowledgable, provides false information and false pick up dates!

I had recently had an eye exam completed at a small company north of Grand Rapids but did not purchase new glasses as the out of pocket cost seemed high. I went to Lenscrafters and was very impressed with their selection of product as well as process for fitting of new glasses. Most importantly, they used an online app to discuss pricing connected to my insurance while the others figured out pricing looking at charts manually. Lenscrafters was over $100 cheaper for the same frame cost, exact same lenses then the other facility. Overall great experience in Grand Rapids!
I always get great service from Dr Gelfius and the manager, Sarah Pitsch. Theyre friendly, expedient, attentive, and knowledgeable. I usually shy away from big box stores, but they recognize you when you come in and make it a personable experience.
I got a text that said my glasses were there so I drove an hour to go pick up my glasses and I put them on and I couldn’t see anything...my prescription wasn’t in the frames. It was just clear lenses. $315 for what? Not a happy camper 2 hour round trip wasted gas and time.

Purchased glasses without buying their protection plan. 5 months in my transitions coating is falling off and causing smudges that are not removable. They wont fix. Ive worn transitions lens over 20 yrs. I know how to care for my glasses. Will never go back.
The best way to describe my experience Lenscrafters: I felt like I was at a used car lot getting scammed right and left. This is not an over exaggeration. They quoted me an exact price over the phone. I made an appointment and after my exam and eyeglass selection they told me it was $350! They all acted like I was crazy to think it would only cost $169. Meanwhile behind the register low and behold there was a sign for $169 package deal (exactly like i was told over the phone) They finally relented when I asked them to speak to the girl who (over the phone) made my appointment and quoted the price. Then they remembered that they did have that deal lol Then they snobishly walked me to the cheap rack where I picked a pair out and was told they would be ready in 4 to 7 days. Well its been 18 days since my exam and my glasses still arent in. They keep giving me excuses and Im sick of it. Please steer clear of lenscrafters at Woodland mall!
The eye doctor was professional and courteous, but receiving your purchased contact lenses and eye glasses is unacceptable. Going on 3-weeks and I have not received my contacts and glasses yet.
The lady. Ariel the lady with black hair and a lisp, was very rude towards me while I was trying on glasses, trying to get me to hurry up when she had no one else to help. Guess someone really wanted to go on lunch

Said I need bifocals cause I wouldnt be able to read with new prescription....put sample contacts in and concourse I can see better and still read....doctor argued it was impossible....he tried to sell me on something unneeded....did same to my wife tried to tell her she needed some special sunglasses..she still trying to figure out why....so we came to conclusions that they are more inclined to make sales even if not needed.....if I did use bifocals without the need it would damage my eyes...even though I mentioned it to the doctor he wants to make sales.
