8/26/21: The fish tanks are absolutely disgusting and the fish are very obviously not taken care of. I am absolutely disgusted at the way you are neglecting animals that are considered easy to take care of. Just stop selling them if youre going to leave them to die.

I just wanted to give a shout out to whoever stocked their freezer section recently. This employee deserves a raise! It was very satisfying to look at and did actually make me want to buy more product lol. I heard other customers commenting on it as well! Nicely done maam or sir.

Clean store. Seems like one of the better locations in the Grand Rapids area. Toy section seems like it gets a lot of traffic, stuffed animals are very limited in selection.

Depending on the day, its rather nice. But regardless of how busy or not busy, there never seem to be enough lanes open. Employees are helpful, but customers are often oblivious to personal space and common decency.If you do plan to shop here, which I do, but mainly only for groceries, go early in the morning or late at night if you dont like crowds. P.S their 10 for 10 is one of the best things ever.

I like the that the layout of the stores do not change significantly from town to town. Once you learn to navigate the underlying theme of your local Meijer store, you can visit another hundreds of miles away and expect to find what you are looking for with minimal effort and time.

This Meijers had very bad associates. They were rude, snotty, made eye contact with deli associates that were just talking and still waited 5 min for service. I understand things have changed but we will not be going back there.

Its a good meijers to shop at. They are usually restocking around 10pm so sometimes grocery selection can be slim at that point, other than that, no complaints.

Meijer is great, my absolute go-to store for nearly every thing my household needs. Their groceries are excellent and then I can pick up anything else I need while Im there. Last time I was there the cashier was particularly friendly and helpful. This is what super Walmart wishes it could be.

Love the store, very convenient, like a supped up Walmart. And Max enjoys picking out his treats and toys.

I prefer Meijer over the other big box stores. The associates are happy to help you and it is easy to find stuf you need and things you didnt know you needed.

I usually love Meijer and have been a long time customer, however, I have a very bad taste in my mouth with Meijers curbside pick up after my experience yesterday. After working a 12 hour day I went to pick up my full cart of groceries at 8:00pm and somehow there was an error with my transaction payment method. With todays technology you would think I would be able to edit my payment method either on the app or the employee could take my payment method so that I could get my groceries and leave quickly, as planned, but instead I ended up having to leave without any groceries. I am overall very disappointed in Meijer and do not see myself using any of their services after this.

If I could give 0 stars I would.I visited the location in Grandville MI today. Upon arrival to the bottle return I was informed that the machines were broken and therefore returns were not being accepted at this time. I was told that if I wanted to speak to a manager then I was more than welcome to enter the store and ask for one. Upon entering the store, the greeter working was kind enough to call the anger for me. After a few moments Rob F. approached me and asked how he could assist me. I explained that I had cans and bottles that I had a need to return. He said our machines are broken, there is nothing I can do to help you. I explained that it is not true, he is capable of accepting the can returns and writing me a manual slip for the return of deposit. At this suggestion he laughed at me and said I am not going to and do not have to. I explained that that is how it used to be done and he said no it has not, this is how it has always been done. Untrue, machines have not been doing this always. I was also told the reason the machines were broken was due to the high humidity of late...every other location I spoke to (4 in the greater Grand Rapids area) all had machines up and running. So the store managers is accustomed to lying to customers?It is unlawful to collect bottle deposit for cans and bottles sold at your location but refuse to accept them back. Your acting store manager refused to accept them back. A dealer shall not refuse to accept from a person an empty returnable container of any kind, size, and brand sold by that dealer, nor refuse to pay to the person its full refund value in cash

Non-caring of management in the Grandville store does not work for meat. I bought some lamb that can only be described as rancid. I did get my money back, but I would have likedto see the manager eat it for lunch. Thanks a lot, I will never buy meat here again.

Great store! Always clean! Some days stocking could be a little better (pandemic issues??) Also it would be nice to see hours return to 24 hours / 7 days a week

10:00pm is a good time to go shopping if you dont like lots of people. However, it is their restocking shelves time and there were a lot of skids to go around. I would rather do that than have tons of people. All in all, great shopping experience.

Went shopping there today. The greeter was very helpful. I came in on crutches and expected to shop with those. He showed me how to use the amigo. It was very nice and kinda fun.

Always clean and organized. Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife has mobility issues and this location always has scooters clean, charged and ready to go.

I was returning an item for my mom. The line was like 6 deep and only took like 5 minutes to get to a clerk. She was not social, bit took care of the business without a hitch. I was out in like 10 minutes. Not bad.

The store layout is a little weird and sometimes the produce can be a little “eh” compared to other greater Grand Rapids Meijer locations. Other than that, good selection and fast process.

Our fav place to do our grocery shopping. Always clean and welcoming. Actually sitting in the parking lot writing this while my husband shops lol

I love Meijer produce. I can always count on the freshest and best produce available. Everything is kept neat and clean. Well stocked and someone is always around if help finding something is needed. Great job, Meijer!

We went to order a birthday cake for my 3 year old.When i was in line she wouldnt let us buy 8 packs of pokemon, 4 of us!!!! We all collect. She only let us buy 4 packs . 1 each!!it was very unprofessional... and sad for my kids. The manager wqs the person helping us..... and giveing us problems not solutions

Fremont meijer. Has definetly gone down quickly from once my favorite meijer to its no better than the others. Always out of the produce I want or if they have it poor quality, out of sale items. It is a clean store. We always ck ourselves out but you sometimes need someone to ck your groceries, those girls not so friendly. We normally shop during the week maybe weekends are better.

It’s Meijer, a place you can get oil filters, the range to install it, and a pretty good steak at almost any time.The prices are fine, and it’s the home team. (They are headquartered in Grand Rapids Michigan)

Average selection. Would like a bit of a better bakery. Perhaps bigger fresh pizza selection, (the ones you take home and bake) I was helped with quick service at the self check out area, (encountered an error) which is really impressive.

Meijer is just another name for Walmart but, staff is way more helpful when you ask for assistance.

Customer service is a joke. Watch out cashiers. Robot give better service. Cheesecake pkg a bug or crumb inside. Asked cashier to get another one. He just stood there and was like IDK what it is.

Quick in and out. Had most of what I was looking for. They were and have been out of the windshield wipers I need for my car. They had the really expensive ones but I didnt want those.

The store itself is fine but if you don’t like big crowds I would not recommend this meijer. Always so insanely busy, and it’s crowded in the aisles. I prefer the Clyde Park one.

Always seem to be out of stuff these days, store is never really clean anymore, and prices are getting ridiculous.

The art of customer service falls on deaf ears, unfortunately. This is not the Meijer I grew up with and loved for so many years. The company is asking so much of employees that theyre completely task driven. Sadly, not an isolated issue to this location. Although this location is a top contender for worst offender. Very disappointed.

My birthday was on Sunday, May 9th; today is Wednesday, May 12th; I worked a 12-hour shift and needed to buy groceries to go home and sleep quickly to work another 12-hour shift. Your employees at the Grandville Meijer, the on-duty manager Chase, explained to me that I could not purchase my Truly (alcoholic) beverages because my license is expired. I explained to him that I am scheduled to get my license renewed, and I provided him with the email from the State of Michigan confirming my appointment; however, due to Covid, they were not able to schedule till June 17th. He questioned why didnt I renew online; I explained to him that I could not because the wonderful State of Michigan required me to physically come in to renew my license because I have renewed by mail for the past 20+ years. He said if I had a passport, I could use that. Luckily I do have a passport. So I drove home and back and provided them with a passport, and then they allowed me to purchase the same items that I could not with a drivers license that expired 3 days ago. I want a reasonable explanation on why your managers do not have the ability to make a reasonable judgment given the fact that it was expired only 3 days and I had an email showing that I made the appointment to renew my license and allow the purchase; or why you have not made arrangements with the State of Michigan to accommodate these situations. I make a concerted effort to support my Michigan-based retailer instead of Trader Joes or the soon coming Whole Foods; why are you making it hard for your customers to support you? I called Meijer Corporate, and I will be registering a complaint because how many of your customers actually have a passport to produce at a moments notice so they can buy groceries?The action taken by their on-duty manager was a classist maneuver, and I will not make another purchase at the Meijer establishment ever until I receive an appropriate apology. I spend a considerate portion of my grocery budget at Meijer. I do not live in a grocery desert; I have choices. I hope your company will make a choice and offer an explanation on why a passport was acceptable; for the same person that had an expired ID, due to no fault of their own, to make this purchase. They did not scan my passport, so what the overriding factor that pushed through this sale? The manager wanted to be rude, and he wanted to put me in my place. How many of your regular everyday working customers affected by Covid have a valid Passport at the ready to produce so they can make their alcoholic purchases?

Went here to look for clothes for the season changes. Too bad they have the fitting rooms closed for COVID? Must be tough having like 75 employees and can’t dedicate one person to cleaning and disinfecting the fitting rooms. I mean you’ve got at least three people scheduled on this shift to stock shelves in the clothing department and they’re just standing talking in the bra aisle. What kind of customer service is that? Make an excuse so you have to do less work that’s what kind of service it is.

Had most of what I wanted. Shelves were bare in a few places, but I got my essentials. Self checkout was slow, they need more people watching them.

When Ive shopped at meijer,many times Ive paid with a gift card. So many times the checkout doesnt read the card properly and I have to swipe it REPEATEDLY! Or the assistant has to come over and do it. My shopping experiences at meijer usually leave me frustrated and I cant wait to get out of there!

My favorite of the 3 nearest Meijers. They generally dont have the family/party size bulk items, BUT its never super crowded and employees are always friendly

I love going here. But very disappointed with the pickup service. I dont know if the people that are doing the shopping just dont get time to learn where items are or dont try. But Ive done it twice so far I know its not much. But both times I went they were missing items on my list.The last time I picked up my groceries and I had to run inside to the bank real quick. And out of curiosity I went to see if they had some of the items I was missing. And I was shocked! They were stocked with those items.

I always shop here and I have never had a bad experience until now. The lady at the self checkout lane (wish I seen her name tag)was accusing me of using a walmart coupon ? When my coupon scanned and everything and said MEIJER on it.she asked me if my coupon worked and I said yes after I put it in the machine thats when she accused me of using a walmart coupon. And she whispered to her coworker make sure you watch coupons people like to use walmart coupons I guess im confused as to why walmart coupons would work at Meijer ? And this was the 5$ off your 30 dollar purchase or more which I got from the mail. I have no reason to steal a lowsy 5$ from a coupon lol. Maybe educate your staff on what coupons are out and when.

You cant even access their website now because it takes 3 hours to load thinking you want to shop. You cannot review what items they have WITHOUT shopping. It would be nice to be able to go to their website and have it load. It thinks I want to shop online so it just sits their spinning saving my spot in line which I dont need. Id just like to look at the website.

Easy to find everything very easily and was able to get what I needed. They even were very understanding with me not being able to wear a mask which is important in todays circumstances. Definitely always going to give them my support.

Honestly I have not been here in about 6 months. The selection on a Saturday afternoon was really good. Patrons were not great at mask wearing once they passed the door. Overall it was a decent experience.

Selection was fine as are prices. However we use the attended cashier line and both lines were backed up to a point of anger and disappointment. Only 2 lines open? Come on Meijer! Yes, most of you shoppers at 9am are retired and have all them time in the world. But this was ridiculous and happens far to often.

Grew up in the area. Took me a few minutes to orientate, after all the up dating.

Found exactly what I came for, great store. Only thing I noticed was they are wasting an enormous amount of electricity by leaving their HID parking lights on during the day. There are over 50 of them and they consume between 250-500 watts each which DDS up to a substantial waste. An LED conversion would save alot of energy also.

Pop return is out sode of store making quite a walking distance to car, also they dont carry frangelico after website said they did. Also gas station is notblocated in same parking spot its around the corner in the parking lot of a whole other strip mall. Store was clean but had a hard time find employees in any department to help find things,

One Meijer called another Meijer to see if they had something I needed and I bought the one at the first Meijers. The second Mejer had more of what I needed. She was so polite and ask if I would like her to call them. They had five so I was so excited and went to Meijer number two. And spent another 200.00 and some. Things I forgotten at Meijer number one!! My shopping it complete for Christmas. Thank You Meijers!

Ive been afraid to go there due to Covid. I was surprised at how open the aisles were. People all wore masks and we all stayed a safe distance. I was able to get everything I needed, which was a real blessing these days.I could go back and feel safe.

This is a nice clean Meijer. The bicycles are put together very nicely, by a professional bike company. Awesome!
