This is more than just a music shop. I went in for a bit of custom electronic work and the gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable. This shop also provides LED lighting, sound systems and other accessories to enhance ones automobile and I shall be returning for that.

Ive been installing car stereos all my life I just work a lot and was going to pay him to do it but the dude acted like it was rocket science and him and the old lady were rude, Ive been there one other time and both times I was treated rudely and they tried to sell me stuff I didnt need and i will never go back and after reading the posts here it seems like they are rude to most people, car tunes is the place to go to get quality work and great service

I called about a custom enclosure for subs that I already have, The guy(I think he said his name was Chris) told me that I would have to buy his subs to make it worth his time to do a custom design then proceeded to upsell me on some “sweet” Kicker L7’s and became defensive when I said I wasn’t interested. What you do with you money is your choice but I don’t see myself spending my money there🤷🏾‍♂️

I have gone here twice to try to get stuff for a DIY subwoofer install and have done them many many times, just for the man inside to get all technical with me when all I need is some cables and etc for the install, told me I need to bring the vehicle in to see what I need to buy so he can tell me what I need treated me like dirt no appreciated they will never get my business again. Go to car tunes the guys there are a no questions asked shop for diy people have gone to them since with no issues.

Tried to buy parts to install a stereo I had into a used car I bought. They refused to sell me the parts unless I bought something to make it worth it to them. Guy also hung up on me when I said I wont buy something I dont need, to be allowed to purchase what I do need. So thats what I get for trying to buy local.Bought everything I needed on Amazon for $25 and didnt get extorted into buying speakers I dont need.At least Car Tunes doesnt turn their nose up at diy guys (they just didnt have the parts in stock), and theyll get 100% of my business in the future.

I have been dealing with The Music Shop for over 15 years. I find Keaton to be very knowledgeable on the products. He really listens to what you want and tries to find the system that will suit you best. And Pearl is the most wonderful understanding lady. There have been a few times where I needed some stuff, She was kind enough to offer payment options, good to know that your word is still worth something these days.And Shawn, the installer, is awesome at what he does...never a complaint....always there to help with tuning your system.Will see you guys soon with my new FR-S :)

Never, never waste your money. The classic “ bait and switch”. Came in needing new speakers, told they would cost $300. Drop my car off for speaker installation received a call an hour later telling me my deck was bad and I needed a new deck. Upon returning to the store to pick up my vehicle I was told I needed another cable and that would be another $150. At this point I realize what was happening, being taken for the ride. I was told my speaker was taken out in bench tested. I’ve had all my speakers tested they’re all shot. All they care about is your money.

If price is your main concern ... this is probably not the place for you. If, quality workmanship and superior service after the sale are high priorities then this is where you want to go. I have been a regular customer here for years and, I will continue to be a customer here as long as they are open. From the quality of the products they sell to the training of the installation professionals on staff they have earned my loyalty as a customer. Admittedly, I have only used them for car audio but, if I were ever in the market for: a high end home stereo, an amazing old musical instrument or, some lovely antique furniture ... this would be my first stop. I genuinely enjoy every aspect of my experience every time I can come up with a reason to walk through their door.

Best place in town fair prices and quality workmanship.

We went in to have a CD player hooked up in a classic car. We were charged $200. For this. When we went to get the car ER were told that the CD we had was no good and we would need to get a new one. We purchased a name brand CD player and asked that it be installed in 2 days. One of the employees stated that would be great. The owner Grant came along and was not happy. He stated i have $1000.00 job that day and this one is not worth interrupting that one for.. The employee stated that they could do it and continued to make the appointment. We took the car in on the scheduled day, got a phone call at approximately 4:30pm stating that nothing had been done because the installer was sent home Ill and we would have to return with the car in 2 days. When we picked up the car from the appointment 2 days later the CD player was installed and was not usable because there was a short! Also the ash tray would not close. We also had no heat we discovered after we left the store. We took the car back 3 days later as we had been out of town. The CD know works, we still have no heat and the right passenger door has a ding that was not there prior. It had been touched up with paint that did not match! If you like to argue with someone who will not listen you will love this place!

Ive taken all six of my cars to the Music Shop, the first of which was when I was 16. My family has also been doing business with them for years, and have always referred people to the shop. Overall you can not beat what they have to offer. They are very friendly and trustworthy, and you can always count on them to finish your ride in a timely matter. Most people expect to walk in, buy something for $200 installed, and have it sound like a car straight out of a Kicker cover story. Being logical, you can not spend that kind of money anywhere nowadays (besides Walmart), let alone expect an item for that cheap to be of high quality. I feel like a lot of people get upset about pricing, and how they end up spending $300 when the sticker says $250 (all example numbers). There are costs to places like the Music Shop when they sell an item as well. You wouldnt buy a set of golf clubs and just go out and try to play golf would you? You need a bag, balls, tees (maybe a glove and or/shoes), lessons and so forth, otherwise your experience is not going to be good. My point is that there are many pieces to the puzzle besides just buying an initial item. I personally wouldnt let a friend go anywhere else, and will always take my vehicles to the Music Shop.

It was eye opening. More training on what was installed would be better. Other than that Grant was very knowledgeable.

Knowledgeable sales guy,Grant, who helped us find an affordable truck stereo that works w our Sirius. His son is the installer. Both helped us learn how to use Bluetooth w our new setup. 👍👍

We purchased a used vehicle from a dealer in Grants Pass that needed help with the existing radio. Knobs were broken and the Sirius/XM satellite needed to be activated. The dealer tried gluing the knobs on but that just didnt work. The dealers service rep. sent us to the Music Shop and said to check in with Grant. It took quite some effort on his part, but I couldnt be more pleased with the results. It was replaced with a radio that looks like new. Works great and the satellite was set up. We even got the 3 month free offer like a new customer so it was added to our existing account from our trade in vehicle. I will be coming back to the Music Shop--thats for sure. Plus you can enjoy the musical instruments for sale, too.

I love this store! I have been in there many times and and have purchased many items over the years. They always have new inventory, everything is in great condition, and the people are friendly and helpful.

Everyone there is so friendly and helpful! They know car audio and home theater better than anyone else in the area. Plus they have a used furniture dept with some great deals.

They got me everything I needed at a fantastic price. The service is in the ball and do what ever they need to do to make sure you leave happy. Great Establishment...

Grant took good care of my needs!

OK... Great service. But do double check their prices. I got a stereo and speakers for my wifes car and was amazed to find out that I paid over 200.00 for a system that cost 125.00. Originally they wanted 280.00 for this system. I would not go back there. Funny, before I actually knew what I knew now I was going to have one put in my truck. And finally, I was told that the stereo was marked way down because it was an outdated model. BUT, the receipt says USED. And I am also not too happy about that.

The worst customer service I have experienced in my life. That is not an exaggeration. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Theres plenty of other shops that are more than willing to take my business.

Lots of choices

These People are rude and will try to rip you off I went in for an adapter that I already knew the price of $3.99. When Grant and I found it in his drawer I asked what the price was he said $10 .I told him I can get it online for cheaper then he says then you should Then he lowers his price to eight.At this time his mother or whoever the old lady is that sits in the back said well if he dont like the price then he can go somewhere else.SO I DID!!!! I walked right out the door went to Larrys music and found the same exact piece for the $3.99 I mentioned.OH did I mention the one Grant tried to sell me wasnt even in a box.So not only were these people rude to a customer they were rude to a person who was clearly a veteran by the clothes I was wearing. I Know that $3.99 isnt much but I was thinking about going through these people to get a new system on my Harley, But not anymore.

Ive had several issues with this store. Everytime ive purchased from thos store ive had to take my 2012 jeep wrangler back to get fixed 3 headlights later and finally no condensation in the headlights. Bought 500 kenwood head unit they installed wrong. Wouldnt fix the problem or help in anyway. Keaton is the person i delt with from that store. Sold me stuff that wasnt under warranty but told me it was. Grant refuses to help those that spend thousands of dollars to get shafted by keaton cause he leaves his family business. Keaton you should have done your customer right before leaving to another job especially since you been working there forever.

Lived in Oregon for 11 years and I originally came to the music shop in 2004 and talked to Keaton he helped me out with great customer service and was very knowledgeable. I ended up buying a full system. 4 amps, solo x with custom box, mids and highs, and a pioneer navigation flip out tv. They gave me a great discounted price for buying so much. They had my vehicle for 2 days. The end of the 2nd day I picked my car up and couldnt have been happier. They did such great work I was very impressed with my system. They even threw in dynamat for me in the doors and through out the car for FREE. I have come down to the music shop for any problems with the system and they got me right in and fixed the problem, most of the time free of charge. I continued to come down to the music shop throughout the years and bought new upgrades for my system every time talking with Keaton who was very knowledgeable on the new gear. I highly recommend coming down to the music shop for any of your car stereo needs!!! Great staff, great customer service, great car stereo equipment. They treat you like family. Love this place and I tell everyone to go here. Just dont talk to Grant and watch out for Peggy on the furniture side.

The guy who ownes it or appeared to seemed cool but the guy in the car install room is a idiot. He was trying to half ass a car rattle and acted like he knew the planet. Double sided foam tape was the cheap answer but he went ahead and said it had to be dynamatted barely a rattle. If he would have done some bs like that in my car id ask for a refund right now. Sloppy. Kinda seemed like he had a scam goin too he didnt want to talk in front of who was in charge. 65 turntables at home 120 sets of speakers but you install car stereos lol. Guy with dark hair and moustache. Real winner. Not qualified In my eyes. They do have quite the collection upstaits im sure that has nothing to do with the dirtbag in the shop tho.

I recently had a major issue with a stereo Id purchased from The Music Shop. I must say, Keaton went above and beyond to make it right. I appreciate this level of customer service; it inspires a great deal of loyalty for me as well as my family.

Just to let everyone know who shops here that the old lady who owns this store is cruel and mean to people with special needs. Just because she is old does not give her the excuse to treat people with special needs so inhuman.
