Adam and Blake were a great help! I had a pick-up order that I ordered only 20 minutes before hand. I inquired at the front if someone could grab it for me. The manager at the front wasn’t very helpful. I believe his name was Ryan. He told no I would have to wait in a very rude tone and I asked if I could just go find it myself and he told me that I could but then they would have to cancel my order and charge me twice. I walked off to get it myself. I ran into Adam who was more than willing to help me find what I was looking for. In the mean time Blake was asking Adam for help with an order that just happened to be mine. Adam and Blake were super accommodating and friendly. I truly appreciate them, they made sure I got what I needed. Ryan needs to take some lessons from these gentlemen.

This Academy has an expanded fishing section to accommodate the people that enjoy fishing. Very nice and well kept store. Great employees.

Their prices are fair and reflective of the market for in demand items like ammo. Not like Bass Pro who offers credit cards and 10% off on purchases but then charges 10% more for items.Thank you Academy for being honest and valuing the business your customers bring. No issues at all. Store wasnt crowded, cashier greeted me by name as soon as I added my number at checkout. The guy at the outdoor counter was funny, and honest when I asked him about a product. Would visit again.

This location is a bit out of the way for me, but they always have items in stock & keep their prices reasonable. That makes it worth the drive.

I ordered curbside. Show up and checked in online then waited. And waited. I called and they someone is walking out with it. So, I waited some more. No one ever came. Walked in they found it 5 minutes later. Total of 30 minutes for something that should have been 5 minutes had they not ignored me.

These guys at the academy in the bike section and the door greeter are very outstanding people and help me exchange a bike that I had got from another academy in another city that the rim was bent on and gave me a freshly assembled bike and I was so happy and had to give them credit for there work.

Went for a college t shirt for a student. Did not have a large selection but found one that worked. Cashier was quick and polite.

Horrible service, I bought a jacket with a defective zipper so when I went to exchange it they told me I would have to wait in line behind all the customers waiting to make a purchase then go and get another jacket and wait in line again, when I questioned this process they said it was in order to be fair with the rest of the customers.Im not sure how this is fair, they sold me a defective jacket and I have to wait in line 3 times.

Great selection of sporting goods and apparel. When we went it was terribly busy and insufficient check out staff caused a severe line to form. Other than that great inventory of items and sporting good items.

The actual store was great! Almost everything was fully stocked. The bathrooms were a little unkept, but were still very respectable. I would have to say the customer service wasnt the best. The cashier was very friendly and so were the greeters. The people in the shoe department were not very helpful though, and mostly kept to themselves.

I went there to buy one of there Jon Boat trailers.They were super busy with the tax free wknd and all.They still managed to get me taken care of in a timely manner.I go out of my way to come to this location because of that and the quality service I receive every time.The trailer fits and I am quite happy with my purchase.

Worst Father’s Day gift ever, my wife and my daughter took me to Academy grapevine store, at the checkout, it was just simple question to the cashier is the marked price is 25% off and cashier said yes, and calculated the price, original price was $60and the marked price was $49, so it was just a difference of only$5,Cashier told her senior and in the mean time Manager Banon Huerta came was very rude and trying to take me outside and said I will show you as if he is going to hit me outside the store. He could have just said it is off upto 25% instead of all this.In my whole life I never had such a bad experiences. The managers job is to clarify the customers and not to be so aggressive that they don’t want to come to that store again.

Its 9 oclock they close at 10pm and theyve already locked their front door. Im trying to get my dad a new pair or shoes before work and theyre closed an hour before theyre supposed to be. Ridiculous.

Well stocked, conveniently located. Did have a bit of a challenge finding tennis skirts, but JESSE discovered they had been moved and showed them to me. A suggestion. When I phoned before making the trip, I was informed the store does not carry womens skorts. But it does! Let the staff know this. I was looking for a single pair of skorts, but ended up buying 3 shorts, 1 skort, and 2 tennis skirts. Also, CAROLYN the cashier is a real jewel.

Piss poor management from store director Kathy Thompson. Academy Needs to reevaluate whether she should be in a decision making role. *hint* she shouldn’t. Rude associates, manager is unaware of what “store pickup” means. God help us if someone does curbside pickup. Run your store better, Idiot.

Really good customer service. I was looking for a specific punching bag i couldnt find it. I ask one of the workers and 5 minutes later i was getting checked out. Also helped me put it on my car.

I was pretty disappointed in my visit today. They had staff but checkout had only 1 register running and the line was back into clothing section. There were a lot of empty shelves and items in the wrong spot. Im actually concerned they are about to go out of business. Im hopeful that it was just a bad day but it was a bad bad day for sure.

Great selection of sports themed merchandise and gear. Everything from casual observer fan apparel to actual game equipment. Prices are competitive with other retailers and they offer many sales and coupons. Staff is a bit thin these days, but everyone is now ( thank you Internet). They are mostly cheerful and knowledgeable, but stressed so cut them some slack. They are open and have decent hours to shop, thats a star by itself in 2020.

Decent store with a decent selection. It was fairly crowded when I went, but granted it was also boxing day and they had a lot of stuff on sale. The employees were helpful and friendly without being overly pushy. I was disappointed to find that they dont cary anything for ice skates, I was just looking for some laces for my boots but they literally have nothing for figure skates, and a very tiny 4ft section for hockey. Dont go here if youre looking for that stuff, its not worth your time. They do have a lot of other things for more common sport and hunting activities, and tons of clothes.

I should give one star but their selection isn’t bad at all . Employees were kinda acting weird when I went shopping with my gf as if we were stealing lol . Didn’t want to be a Karen but the lady at customer service was being sketchy & the guy who checked us out marked all bills with the counterfeit marker . I could understand the 100 but the 20 & 5 ? 🥴

I bought a bicycle and helmet online. Later I received a message saying that my order was ready to pick up. Once at the store they said the bicycle wasnt assembled yet and was going to take approximately 72 hours. Very disappointed I walked to the bikes area and yayyy the same bicycle was $20 cheaper!!!

This by far is the best Academy I’ve been to. The service here is impeccable!!!! Every associate was so helpful. However, I must say that Mason was extremely helpful for my mom and I when helping us select a bike. We will definitely be back once the team restocks on bikes, you have our continued business!

Nice store. Helpful people. Unfortunately, they didnt have the Handgun Ammunition I was looking for but I bought a new 22in Weber charcoal grill. They even loaded it in the car for me.

We always enjoy looking around Academy. Really good prices on clothing, shoes, kayaking gear, workout equipment and much more.

Store was clean and tidy, I found exactly what I needed and was able to check out quickly with multiple registers open. Made some hog bait and getting ready for a good hunt!

Staff and management is not very friendly at this location and doesnt seem to know their own return policys. Missing prices on items, ammunition not properly separated by caliber and non-returnable.. after several bad experiences at this store I will no longer do business with Academy Sports.

This was the worst experience ever at this store! I found a pair of work boot that were on clearance the pair had a clearance sticker on the shelf as well as on the box but when I got to the register they were coming up at a different price. So I then informed the sale consultant that they were on clearance so he called who I assume was the manager who then went back to check on the price. He then comes back with the clearance in his hand and throws it in the trash in front of me and says that it was a mistake and that they would not honor it! Not sure how they could of made the same mistake twice by putting it on the shelf as well as the box! I am extremely disappointed. I will be canceling my credit card with them and never shopping at another academy again I will be taking my business elsewhere. By far worse customer service ever!!!

This store varies on helpful staff in the firearms department, sometimes very introverted and youre pulling teeth, other times you leave full of knowledge and make a purchase. Prices are great on ammo sales as well as accessories. Was a bit confused they had an ASP-like baton on sale for purchase without any warnings.

Super friendly customer service. I purchased sandals on line, they didnt fit. I went to the store and Anna helped me find the right size. I was not looking in the correct area but she took her time to show me where they were and find my size, of course it had to be on the very top shelf in the back where I couldnt see. The exchange was simple. So glad I found them and on sale! The named brand athletic gear is comparable in pricing and the store is super clean.

I should have called before driving to store for the last one, the employee thought it had been shop lifted.
