We rented a Uhaul truck here for 1 day. They have a lot of trucks for rent and the customer service staff are very helpful in advising items youll need and ways to move items. The return check-in was as fast as it could possibily be.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO RENT! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERE AGAIN! THE OWNER/MANAGER WAS RUDE WHEN I PICKED UP THE TRUCK AND WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!! I INFORMED HIM THAT I COULD NOT USE THE TRUCK BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE A RAMP. HE TRIED TO OFFER ME ANOTHER TRUCK, I TOLD HIM I DID NOT NEED ONE ANYMORE. THEN WHEN I STATES I WISH I HAD KNOWN IT DID NOT HAVE A RAMP BECAUSE THE TRUCK WAS USELESS FOR ME. HE SARCASTICALLY SAID I SHOULD HAVE ASKED! I HAVE NEVER HAD A UHAUL WITHOUT A RAMP. I WAS NEVER TOLD IT WAS NOT STANDARD EQUIPMENT! SO HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? THEY DON’T EVEN DO A WALK AROUND THE VEHICLE WITH YOU ANYMORE!!

I went to this location to inquire about storage units. Upon arrival was not greeted with someone interested in helping me. The girl was more interested in her large dog which i believe tag said her name was Maddie. I happen to be allergic to dogs. Im not sure why a large dog was there in front office of a business, Im sure that Im not the only potential customer that is allergic to dogs. A young man answered most my questions, was very helpful while the office girl just kept sitting there playing w/ her dog. the young man was very helpful. I believe his name was Kevin or Keith, something with a K. I expected more willingness to help customers & no dogs.

I reserved a 10 truck and checked it out within 5 minutes of my arrival on a Saturday morning. Before I could take the truck off the lot to pick up some furniture I bought, the seller changed her mind. I likely was upset at the last minute notice and apparently visibly so. One of the representatives at the counter noticed and asked if everything was ok. I told her I didnt need the truck after all and asked if I could get a refund. She went to the manager and they gave me a full refund quickly and with a smile. And they were very busy so I appreciated this. I even offered to pay a serve fee for the inconvenience but they would not accept. I have rented there 4 times and always a good experience.

Excellent customer service...very accommodating, friendly & helpful. I spoke with Keith each time. Uhaul is extremely fortunate to have an employee like him.

I have been trying to contact the office for several days now and no one answers the phone.

Rented 26 ft box truck. During trip check engine light came on. I was miles away from the shop. I constantly checked all my gages till I was able to get back safely. Upon returning the truck I told the guy checking the truck in and he said they knew about it. It was just a sensor, safe to drive. Tell the customer so they dont worry the entire trip about breaking done. Yes I called the road service number and nobody knew what to tell me.

Do not go there for any reason at all they are incompetent and improper hitch installation told me they didnt feel comfortable doing it right and if I wanted my money to take him to court they feel that nobody can do anything because of covid and will not dispute them I cannot use my trailer hitch and wiring harness because it was not installed properly and could short out the entire electrical system on my brand new vehicle caveat emptor you have been warned

Had an issue with another U-Haul location where the truck we rented wasn’t ready because a customer wanted it another day, but didn’t bother telling the people. Was able to rent a van at first, but was able to upgrade to a truck that became available. These guys saved the day, and was so happy the day didn’t turn into a disaster!

These guys are awesome! Was in a massive time crunch. Connor had me in and out fast with a car trailer. He was efficient, organized, and knew exactly what he was doing. Thank you so much.

My mom and I booked a small trailer to drive to college 2 MONTHS ahead of time. At the last minute they changed our pickup location, our type of trailer, and our drop off location (AFTER WE PICKED IT UP). We tried to call and change the drop off location to our original spot and customer service was rude and said because it is their “busy time” it is essentially our problem. U-Haul will screw up your plans by changing everything last minute. They will not honor your reservation. They do not put their customers first. I will NOT be back.

Reserved a truck, confirmed three times!, no truck on moving day! Called and confirmed the evening before. Show up at 9am on moving day and the truck was not available and no empathy or help from management. They shrugged it off like it happens all the time and too bad for you. I was able to find one last minute from Rentals and More on 120. Basically these folks ruined our day with stress and lack of concern.

Got a bike hitch installed to my car at this location. From ordering process to installation it was an awesome experience. Sales person who picked up my call is very knowledgable and answered all questions accurately. Installation was smooth and quick. Pricing and quality of work is great. Having shopped around the county for hitch installation, this place for sure beat out others in price. Shout out to Daniel who assisted in selecting appropriate bike rack for my needI wish they had a waiting area for customers when they are waiting for service. Thats something that needs to be improved in this locationHighly recommended. Will use their services again.

COMPLETE SCAM ARTISTS!! DO NOT USE!! Rented a truck for a move. The truck was clean. That is the only good thing I can say. The truck came with 1/4 tank gas. I drove 21 miles and put 2 gallons of gas in the tank before I returned. They tried charged me for 10 gallons of gas plus a $30 service fee for having less gas that needed (which was a lie). I called to get a refund and was transferred several times and waiting over 30 minutes in the call queue. Finally they said a manager would call me back another day. The manager Daniel Bubel called me back and said I received the truck at 1/2 full and returned it at 1/8. However I have the paperwork that clearly states 1/4 and I returned at 1/4. He says he will refund their mistake but he actually LIED TO ME and they only refunded part of it. The place is a complete joke and they will SCAM YOU. STAY AWAY!!

U-Haul Truck, Storage and moving supplies

I had questions regarding my bill and I have never, in my life, been treated so disrespectfully. I was talked down to and insulted, and in front of other customers for that matter. Upon keeping the truck an extra day an improper hold was put on my account. I had to call the call center and they were polite and kind and corrected the hold within a couple hours. The guy didnt understand what I was trying to explained to him and was incredibly rude and continued to argue with me about it, not allowing me to fully explain what had happened. I was then charged a $20 convenience fee because I couldnt go onto their app upon returning the truck in the evening after the location was closed, all becase I didnt have cell access. I was going to rent a unit there, and ended up walking out and going to Metro Self Storage on 83, right down the road. They are polite and kind, and have MUCH more reasonable rates!

I have had several great experiences with this facility. Ive purchased moving supplies and rented trucks from them on multiple occasions and the process has always been painless. Im about to do it again for a cross country move and have no concerns. The building and grounds are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend.

So many different kinds of boxes (for books, mirrors/pictures, sports equipment, electronics, tvs, small, medium, large, wardrobe, etc) and moving supplies (tape, packing peanuts, locks for storage units, etc)! I was able to find everything I needed for my cross-country move. Save money when you buy certain boxes in bulk. Save your receipt and theyll buy back the boxes you dont use. They have trucks and trailers for rent too (I didnt rent any though -- I just saw them there). A one-stop moving/packing shop!

I rented a trailer yesterday. I had a really awesome experience there. Dan (I think he is the manger there) went above and beyond his job helping with an issue my truck was having. He probably spent 20 minutes under my truck testing and fixing. WOW is all I can say. He really saved my day as I needed this trailer for business. Cant say enough how grateful I am to Dan. Definitely would recommend.

Review update 1/17/16: I have rented twice from this location since my last review. Each time they had the trailers I needed as promised. One time they repaired my wiring harness free of charge--going above and beyond. Great experiences each of the last two times. Five stars for sure.

The person showing us storage units did not know what he was talking about. For example, he thought climate controlled units were not temperature controlled, but rather were the same climate as outdoors! We decided to look elsewhere for a unit.

This is a nice place and the staff is pleasant to work with.

Unbelievable!!One person working to attend all customerswaited 50 minutes to get a pick up truck that it was already reserved, imagine if it wasnt!The only guys working is doing the paper work and running all over the place, customers waiting in line loosing and patience...If you really want to waste your time?Come to this facility !!!!

Rented a $19.95 pick-up truck on August 18,2013-we reserved on line 2 days earlier.We got our almost new Ford F150 in about 10 minutes with NO HASSLES. David was great-answered all our questions-told us where to get E-85 gas nearby. The truck was a joy to drive. When I returned it- I called around 30 minutes before it was due back-Nora the Manager gave me an extra hour if I needed it with no late charges. Robert was terrific when I returned it. I was expecting a nightmare due to some bad reviews and instead HAD A PERFECT EXPERIENCE!!!! Just remember, if you rent at the end of the month for moving it can get crazy-same at any rental place, and you should expect long lines. We were lucky and highly recommend this location.

Uhaul was unsafe and would not pass and expection. 16ft truck had pass side mirror that would not orient correctly. had to have friend stick his head outside window. i had to step on the gas continuously to keep going. staff doesnt answer phone

They did a great job adding the electrical wiring for my trailer on the back of my minivan. Very helpful advice as well.

I have never had a worse experience with a Uhaul store. Reserved a van for two hours at 10am. Arrived to find 4 people in line in front of me, and only one person in attendance from staff. The place was only half finished, saws and hammers were going on all over the background, and I had to wait over 30 minutes just to get my van.

I scheduled a U-Haul pick for a Saturday. I was told the truck would be available at 7A.M. The day befor my move I received a text message saying I would need to get the truck at a different location at 9 A.M. This did not work for me as i had movers scheduled at 8A.M. I explained this to Steve at 19251 W. Washington, Grayslake, Il. He was not helpful. He did not want to correct the problem nor did he seem to understand my situation or provide an alternative truck. His sense of customer service was to refer me elsewhere. That is POOR, POOR, POOR! Do not use them!

Was charged for two gallons when i returned it over the f.....they do over charge and get angry when u ask for an explanation. do urself a favor and just go somewhere with good feedback.
