We have been customers of the shop for nearly 10 years, and we feel fortunate to have found it. Dr. Hartz is very professional and efficient with eye exams. He always recommends what the customer actually needs. The management of the shop is also very professional, always being courteous and customer-friendly, including with fixing broken glasses. Highly recommended.

I give this place two ⭐⭐ because I was able to walk away with my prescription and the eye doctor was very nice. The customer service sucks the cost of glasses here are OUTRAGEOUS. I felt like they dont really care if you get glasses or not. They only care about your insurance information. And some of the staff here is nasty towards customers. If you really need glasses go somewhere else that will be beneficial for you and where you be treated like they really care

The eye doctor here is great but that’s about it. My mom ordered new glasses and they told her that they were going to be delivered to her house in 2 weeks. A month went by and nothing come in the mail. When she called to ask what happened they told her the frame was broken. So they knew it was broken the whole time and never bothered to tell her. Their customer service is horrible. I recommend you get an eye exam and then go somewhere else to buy your glasses.

This site is terrible....I went there almost 2 months ago and paid for contacts ....called them one month in and they told me my contacts were not ready and had not come in and would give me a call when they did ....now 2 months in I called again and they can’t find my paperwork or contacts .....I know with COVID there are time delays but this is ridiculous in my opinion...still waiting for my contacts at this point I am tempted to get a refund. I would not recommend this place the one silver lining is that the optometrist was very nice and welcoming during my initial appt otherwise their system sucks.

Dont go there. I have insurance. The Optometrist deliberately lied and said that my daughter needed special contact lenses when she didnt so that they could make more money. He said that I had to pay a copay but when I called to make the appointment the worker never mentioned that I would have to pay a copay or a fitting fee. When we arrived for our appointment he asked for my insurance card and ID and still didnt mention anything about a co-payment or a fitting fee The Optometrist said it is a copay but the manager called it a fitting fee. Which one is it. Very deceptive. He waited until after he did the exam to tell me that. I wasnt and didnt pay that ridiculous fitting fee and walked out and wont be going back there ever again. I dont do business with Businesses that try to overcharge and deceive their customers. Stay Away.

Bad place bad costumer serviceThe doctor have a brutal languageNo recommend at all.Arriving at the place I met with a secretary who asked me to fill out some form, I politely asked if it was possible to skip the process of filling out the form and I answered in the affirmative, after an hour and a half of waiting the place I went back to the secretary to ask when I could see a doctor. The secretary just took the form and handed it to me and said until I fill out I will not be able to see a doctor. Just gave me an hour and a half and more to teach me a lesson. !When I asked why not to tell me that hour and half ago?! I been answered with bad language.!A place that does not serve its customers and I would not recommend to any of my friends!

Well I gave one star because the lady that helped me was kind and told me to walk in and if they not busy they can see me fast.i want to buy an extra pair of glasses as well.i have Maryland physician care insurance and the rest of my family priority partners, the 2 boys Amerigroup,I’m way over due but I have my own frames and I don’t really want their frames but they asked me to pay to use my Own frames,I called my insurance and everyone’s else in my home.they said I had to pay if i used my own frames which all HMO by Medicaid said that’s not correct, I don’t have to pay anything, I also want to get me a second pair out of pocket but it’s discouring when they asking you for money that they cannot ask for since they have a contract with the state insurance and even the kids have to pay if they use their own frame.i will go back and tell them this lie they told me and if they rude then I will report this to the state and the state board because that could be insurance fraud as well for charging knowing they have a contract.i will go and give them one more chance I also have other frames to make so if they don’t get this together and tell the truth I will report to Medicaid and the optometrist state association and just let them question them to see if what they saying to me is legal. Someone tell me if I’m right or wrong befare I tell my OSHA friend inspector that I have because I used to work for an optometrist and No one got charged when you have a contract with Medicaid .So depending if they continue to lie I will call in the office and passed them the phone with the insurance to tell us why we have to pay when I never paid anything unless I bought an extra one.People don’t be fooled call your insurance and don’t go by what any office tell you and you can file a complaint about it too and to the Maryland State.

Rob is absolutely the best optician I’ve ever met. He was incredibly patient and offered excellent advice during all steps of the process. The glasses are good quality and well priced. I would recommend all my friends and family get their glasses at this store.

LAST I CHECKED, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Very poor attitudes in that store. I’m not bitter, I will give credit where it’s due, the service was exceptional, but when I ask for eye drops with my Colored Contacts, the Manager (Older lady) tones changed and she started getting smart with me, I didn’t know that the eye drops didn’t come with the contacts. I was just asking a question, and I payed good money for the contacts plus a $50 fee just to get them since I don’t need them/not prescribed to get them. Overall, I got a complimentary box of eye drops, and as I said the service is good, but they need to work on their attitudes towards customers. LAST I CHECKED, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT

I had an appointment with my son this week and was very happy with the customer service from the time we entered the door way. The ambience was stellar in the doctors practice filled with very artistic furniture, pictures and the like. I was inspired and very impressed. The doctor is a cool guy too, personable and patient.

They were very friendly. My son was a walk-in he was seen and we were in and out in about 45mins. They had nice affordable frames. All my questions were answered and concerns addressed. It was clean and comfortable in both the waiting area and the examine room. Will definitely be returning!!!💯😊💋

My complaint is with their customer service. Their frame collection is adequate. Their optometrist is fine. Its the staff. They are young, and for the most part are working their first professional retail jobs. The offence I took from visiting is probably because they didnt know any better. Im not young, but by golly, I am solvent and I certainly do not appreciate the patronizing nor familiarity they displayed while I looked at frames. After I found a few frames I was interested in buying while ignoring the young lady and Miss and even Sweetie entreaties, I asked the woman behind the counter-- who was idle and playing on the computer--what the discount was for Davis Insurance. Not only did she react as if she had no idea what that insurance was but said she could not look that up unless I signed in first and that someone was ahead of me...whom she was not dealing with. I left. Apparently, they didnt need my business.

The doctors are nice, but honestly I have had the WORST experience buying glasses here! Twice they have gotten my prescription wrong, so theyve had to send them back, and when they finally arrived with the correct prescription there were dents in the frame. With the amount of money spent on frames and lenses, I expect the glasses to be looking new, not like I dropped them on pavement!

It was our first time in this place 3 days ago. I scheduled an eye exam for my husband. The person who answered the phone wasn’t very pleasant, but I decided to overlook that. Once we were there I was able to witness the way the optician (the person who proceeds with the order of glasses) wasn’t very nice to the people ordering or picking up glasses. I should mention an older man had a few questions and the optician proceeded by saying “do you have any idea how long I’ve been doing this?” I was very disturbed. Opticians usually get a compensation on what they sale (at least LensCrafters, my eye doctor and others do) and I really didnt feel it was fair the way this gentleman was treating patients. My husband walked out of his appointment and told me the doctor was great, but unfortunately the staff in this place needs some improvement.

So let me say that the professionals at For Eyes know their stuff. I had the honor of having Mr Mike Carter taking care of me this time and this gentleman knew his stuff. He pointed me to a few pairs of glasses and let me browse without pushing me at all. I really like that . So while I browsed he went to work on checking on my insurance and what it would cover and he broke it down for me, so that I understood what was going on. I also had the pleasure of meeting his manager Mr Robert Abramsom who was very kind. I didnt get to see the dr on call but from what I have heard he is absolutely terrific. The entire staff was busy helping many people here you can tell that they care about their clients, and are super nice. If you need your eyes checked and some really cool glasses come on over to this spot you wont be disappointed.

Where do I begin. they quoted me a turn around time of a few days to a week. (that was a lie) i called and checked up on my order for days until the rudest person there someone named Ashley (garbage customer service skills) picked up and told me that my glasses broke twice at the lab and that its not her problem if i dont like it i can come in for a refund. this place wont be honest with you, they just tell you what they think you want to hear. as for my situation I will be getting a refund and taking my business elsewhere.

Worst Customer Service I have Ever Experienced!I had been a customer of For Eyes for many many years, their customer service had never been exceptional but not bad until today. Dr. Hartz was always very friendly. I usually schedule an appointment but today I was around the area and decided to walk in to get my son an eye exam (because I know they take walk-ins) I walk in and walk up to the front desk, there are 2 people there but it takes a minute for someone to acknowlege me. The young woman (whom was wearing cargo pants and slides- but who knows maybe it was casual Fridays and no one else got the memo 🤷🏻‍♀️) finally addresses me. Here is where the issue starts-All I get is attitude. I hear another employee call someone stupid. I ask for a manager and he sends someone else to talk to me. I explain how long I have been a customer there and how I had never been treated that way. He tells me he cant do anything about the employees and he gets the “manager” who didnt want to talk to me in the first place. I am so disappointed, I dont understand how they can tolerate the front desk treating customers this way.

Poor service and very disorganized. This was evident from my visit, but became especially apparent when I came back to ask for an itemized receipt. The staff asked me to have a seat and said they would get the receipt for me in just a minute. 15 minutes later, a woman walked by to tell me she had not forgotten about me. After 35 minutes and still no receipt, I got up and left. Good staff should know that if you are busy, you should tell a customer that you are too busy to help them and they should come back later. You NEVER make them wait along as long as I did.

One of our members went here and they were very disrespectful towards them. The person that was supposed to look up there eye glass prescription wasnt able to find it and it was just written up 5 minutes prior. Then our member has been going there since 2011 and they never keep the records of the prior visits. Last, when our member couldnt be taken care of they asked another foreyes location to request the eye exam information. They said, the member will have to come back in the store and show there drivers license and sign a release form to send to another foreyes store!!!! please do not visit this horrible location.

Went in this morning to buy glasses. Store was empty and three employees were there. After 10.minutes I asked if anyone could help us. I was asked to sign in. After another 10 minutes I told them we would go somewhere else as they must be too busy to work with us and the woman just said ok. Ended up at Lenscrafters which was a much better experience!!!

I went in the store and placed my order I payed an extra 10 dollars so I could get them shipped to my home that was 10/08/16 . It is 10/31/16 now and still havent received my order. They told me it usually takes 3 days to make the eyesglasses with my persceiption plus 5-7 days to ship them that is about 10 days! Its been more than 3 weeks already.When I call the store to track my order they tell me they Dont know where my glasses are?I dont know if Im ever getting them???Anyways 2stars bc the lady who helped me that day in the store was nice

HORRIBLE customer service; highly unpleasant and judgmental attitude from doctors office side staff! I am a long time patient, and one evening was examined for an eye infection stemming from my contact lens and prescribed medications. I called back with questions for ordering contacts once healed. One of the front desk staff representatives was very snappy, yelled and hung up the phone on me because she did not agree with my questions before my follow-up visit. Before I left the office on my initial visit ( without knowing my full eye situation) the same woman tried to force me to look at graphic pictures of people with serious eye problems as a result of wearing contacts. Her attitude and demeanor was very confrontational and mean spirited, especially since not fully understanding my inquiries about my next steps.I would advise visiting another office for eye examinations unless you want to deal with rude and unprofessional office staff before and after your visit!
