First let me say that Im giving this a two star only because the staff is friendly and professional and the office is kept clean. However, when it comes to answering the phones, or even trying to leave a message you can forget it! I have been trying to call them every hour one day, and no one answers the phone snd their mailbox is full, so u cant even leave a message.And as for the prices of your glasses are extremely high, then theres always some reason or excuse why the wait is so long to get your glasses back. I dont know how this one in Greenbelt stays open or makes money. Its the worst.
I am giving two stars only because the staff is nice and professional. As far as getting glasses from here, I would not advise it. It has been 4 weeks and I still have not received my glasses. After several calls, I have been told I should give it another week. Who does that?!?!
I wouldn’t recommend this particular Visual Eyes. I normally go to the one in Mitchellville, but I live closer to the greenbelt area so I decided to go to this particular office. Staff and doctor were great, appointment was in and out. As of receiving my glasses it’s been since February and I have not received my glass. Highly disappointed and will not be coming back
A few days I came to Visual eyes and I have to say that the store is very clean and it have excellent customer service that was provide by Ms.Kathy. She was very patient with me and we had great conversations where I came to find out we have the same last name.
Friendly staff, clean office and loved that they cleaned equipment right in front of me. Will be returning.
I have had an amazing experience today. The young man assisted me to find a gcb frame, was the best welcoming costomer service. His hospitalities and professionalism is GOLD.!
I’ve been coming here for a while now I never had an issue until now. I went in for my yearly eye exam and ordered new glasses this was back in the beginning of February and it’s now June haven’t received my glasses I’ve been asking for the past months when will it be coming in they keep saying to give it another week it’s been months! I’ve started asking for a refund in May and now they don’t even answer when I call!!!
Customer friendly, great service and kind and friendly staff, I was attended by Ms Worrell who explained and help me out very much I would recommend visual eyes to my friends and family.
Great customer service. Great service, we was in and out no waiting a long time. Dr took his time, asked me questions and waited until all my concerns were met.
My daughter goes to visual eyes and we always have a great experience at all the locations, we are trying out the Greenbelt location and so far so good. The receptionist is knowledgeable and professional. The eye doctor at this Greenbelt locations is awesome as well. The entire staff are very welcoming. 🤗
I wasted a lot of time at Visual Eyes. I tried ordering contacts but my prescription was incorrect, because the measurement they gave me for contact axis does not exist. I called and was told I was wrong and was left on hold for 33 minutes. Go in store wait 1 hour to print out my correct prescription. I STRONGLY recommend going somewhere else.
They were able to fit my new lenses in my grandmothers antique frames without a fuss. The optometrist was also very friendly (cant remember his name but he recently moved here from Texas). Reasonably priced as well.

Used to go to MyEyeDr and they never could figure out my discomfort with my contacts. Visual Eyes Dr. Alexander figured it out! Super friendly and fast. It is difficult to schedule appt at preferred location
Im just going to start with this .. my appointment was at 2:00, I left at 5:30 only because I had to pick up my little one by 6:00. The receptionist told me that since the doctor is only in on Fridays that he TRIPLE BOOKS himself .. yes, TRIPLE BOOKS. The wait was ridiculous .. it doesnt really take the sting off of how much prescription glasses cost. I have this two stars because the doctor was nice and so were the staff that helped me place my order.
I am so happy I contacted the Dr. personally about my refund. He is a very understanding person and did wonderful solving the issue.

I came to the office to get a contact lense Exam after making my appointment 4 days in advance online. When the lady working the receptionist desk finally opened the door, she asked me what I was here. I told her that I have an appointment at 10am. She looks at me confused and says, there aren’t any appointments this morning. I told that she was incorrect and that I’d made my appointment online earlier in the week. She asked me if Friday was blocked off online and I told her that is was not. Shouldn’t she know that?! She informs me that the doctor doesn’t work on Fridays and if I wanted to make an appointment for Saturday. I told her that I did not want to make another appointment for Saturday and that it was an inconvenience to me as a new patient to come in and find out that I have no appointment. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. First impression is everything and my first impression is that this place is incompetent.

A truly awful experience.Lazy, lackadaisical unkempt staff. Refused to provide my PD number for glasses unless i paid extra. Hid the glasses included on my insurance plan. Avoid at all costs.
This is legit the first time Ive ever posted a negative review in my life. Waited 2 months for my contacts. Called them at least twice a week for 2 months because they never put the order in in the first place. Then finally after 2 months one day I called again and theyre there but they ordered the wrong prescription but kept telling me different BS that they were the right ones. I paid them in March and got munchies contacts in May. What kind of bs is this
I just came today to the greenbelt location to get a trial of contacts with my prescription.I had called ahead of time and they told me I could just walk in and get them, that they would cost $15 for the trial contacts. When I walk in I ask the lady at the feont desk and she said we have never sell contacts with prescription for $15 im like yes you guys have because I always get them here .But she was being very defensive and rude when i told her I had called before to double check if they still do that and the person I spoke with said yes just to walk in. I never had a problem here until today she was very rude and had no idea of what I was talking about. I Just did not like the way she was talking to me she was very rude and nasty I am not coming back here.
The worse! To date I’ve been waiting two weeks and two days for contacts. My husband went to pick up said contacts after TWO phone calls from Visual Eyes that the contacts were in BOTH the Greenbelt location AND the Mitchellville location.My husband arrived at the Greenbelt location after work only to find that the contacts were NOT there. [WHY the phone call then????] So, he drove to the Mitchellville location IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC—only to be told that “the carrier JUST took the contacts to the Greenbelt location.”Really Visual Eyes??!! What kind of senseless tennis match is that???!!!!At their advising we returned to the Visual Eyes Greenbelt location the following day. We arrived at 6pm and, you guessed it...no contacts! Smh. Luckily, I was smart enough to obtain my prescription. I’ll have a PROFESSIONAL eye center fill it. I’m just frustrated that I’ve wasted two weeks with this circus.Peeps, Lens Crafters, or America’s Best are better choices. I will not be returning to Visual Eyes. And, it’s sad because this is contrary to what I know to be true of the owner Dr. Nnabue who is a: 1) great doctor, 2) consummate professional, and 3) hard working black business owner. However, as I reported to him PRIOR TO THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT (yes, there was another incident), his staff is horrid. And, ultimately they are the face of Visual Eyes.

Terrible place. Charged me for glasses and lenses that I never got and when I called to say I havent bought nothing this year they tried to tell me it was from last year but the bill says its from this year!
