I needed an alternator replaced and Frankie offered free diagnostic testing and a quick repair on my Nissan Altima. Frankie is friendly, respectful with great customer service and communication. He even stayed open a little later until my wife could pick me up (On a Friday). My car was ready by Monday afternoon. He is truly a car guy doing what he loves to do in life. Frankie’s Auto Care is only place I take my car. Have a used car and had several repairs past year. Frankie’s was much cheaper and did quality work. Today my heat shield came loose and needed fixed. Frankie and staff stayed after business hours to fix it and only charged me $10.00! My air went out last month and he was able to find used quality compressor saving me hundreds of dollars. No frills shop, but honest quality work. Highly recommend!

Frankies Auto Care is the best repair shop in Greencastle; hands down, not even a question. He has the most reasonable rates, which is helpful to the college population, but also because he doesnt try and fleece you, or fix things that arent broken. When he quotes you a price, thats the price you pay. He will never perform an unauthorized extra repair, and he even lets you order your own parts if you want to. This is a big sign of an honest mechanic, as he will NEVER mark up parts and take you for a ride.Ive taken BMWs, Mercedes, Mitsubishis, Toyotas to him, and he is a true master mechanic. If you have a European car, this is the ONLY place to take your car, because he understands how these things are put together, and isnt afraid to take on the work. Because of his experience with Euro cars, he charges less than other shops because it doesnt take as much labor to diagnose and repair faults on foreign vehicles.Frankie is always willing to go the extra mile for his customers, working weekends and nights to help get them back on the road. Despite working himself to the bone, hes a friendly, polite, and well-spoken guy who is always willing to give you advice and talk to you about your car. WIlliam is just as polite and skilled, and he is a master mechanic as well.

My daughter is going to school in Greencastle & was having problems with her car (check engine light & oil light on). My cousin who lives in the area said to call Frankies. Called & was able to get the vehicle dropped off the next day. Frankie was able to fix the vehicle for a reasonable price and did not try to fix things that were not broken. He called the next day after looking at the car & had a heart to heart with me on what type of oil to put in the vehicle if any is needed before the next oil change. I would highly recommend Frankies and will be taking my daughters car back to him while she is attending school. Thank you Frankie. As a side note, I called back the next day to let them know when vehicle would be picked up. Frankie was out, but William answered the phone and he was equally as polite and a pleasure to talk to.

Great service is hard to find. I found it here. A great local resource, and my first option when having my German automobile serviced. Much better option than the dealer.

Over priced not fast

My car stopped running went failed as I was trhoughng though Greencastle on Main Street. I drifted into a parking pace in front of the Antique store across from the courthouse. It was cold winter day with some snow on the ground. I had my wife and two of my granddaughters with me. I couldnt figure out what happend to cause it to die. I am from Mulberry, IN and living on a social security and a small VA pension.fixed income. I knew it was going to be expensive to tow back to Lafayette. It was 4:00 in the afternoon on a Friday so I called my daughter to come from Lafayette and figured I would get it towed on Saturday. I had a friend who owns a car lot in Kentland so I called him to see how I could get it towed cheapest. He suggested I take it to Frankies Auto Care in Greencastle instead. I called Frankie, he agreed to look at it, so I had a local tow company from Greencastle tow it to Frankie. Frankie fugured out it needed a fuel pump, and also found some electrical issues caused by field mice. His fee was very reasonable, service was quick, and I would give him five stars for his excellent service. I have since taken him three more cars from Lafayette to repair. You wont go wrong with Frankie and he wont cheat you or rip you off.
