Everyone loved the Christmas gifts I bought from this store. Guaranteed to find something youre looking for when shopping for holidays, birthdays, pets, or just for yourself! Kitschecoo is my favorite gift shop in Milwaukee. Friendly helpful staff, variety of brilliant art and fun classes!
To say I love this place would be an understatement. This place is loaded with so many interesting things for every age! Ive purchased a lot of different soaps along with other personal hygiene items(deodorant, lotion, chapstick)! I have also purchased many Wisconsin home decor things. I have shared many gifts with others from this store as well ranging from candles and MJ magnets to a handmade sewn monster for my little lady! The best part is that everything is made by local artists and its all one of a kind stuff! I have frequently visited this store since residing in Greendale in 2015 and this store is a Gem! I will admit that the store is quite tight now a days and holds many fragile items however, as the gentlemen below said there are signs posted to warn parents to watch for their children. I have had my soon to be two year old in this store with me a few times and the struggle is real parents, every time I turned around her hands were on the hunt for something to grab! I havent had any issues with the staff bring my little one to tears and I would say for the most part my family and I have always been warmly greeted and I often partake in small conversations with the staff during check out. Anyways, I love what kitschecoo is all about and I hope they stay in Greendale forever!
Unique...thats the first word I would use to describe KitscheCoo. Second word would be awesome. Its our first stop for gifts for any occasion. All items are made locally, and the store tries out new vendors on a regular basis. Check out some of of their hands on classes, from Paint your Pet to glass work, to all sorts of creative ways to have fun as a group, or if you join their small groups of people just looking to have fun. From jewelry, to soaps, to pet items, to art, gloves, hats, shirts, honey, clever buttons, dioramas, and on and on. Its hard to list everything. Just go!
This shop/studio is such a gem! The owner is knowledgeable, friendly and ultimately creative and makes you feel you can create no matter what your level of experience. The shop is filled with beautiful, local artist works that make amazing gifts for you or someone else. Don’t miss this shop; you’ll be glad you stopped!
They have such unique gifts and items for yourself. We love the classes and events. This shop is a great addition to our village and the sisters are such nice people.
The owner is extremely rude. I stopped in last week to check it out. Her store is unsafe and unclean. She started harassing me over her personal politics. Terrible customer service and a terrible person to do business with. Update: now she’s denying that I was at her store. I guess she’s trying to cover up for her misgivings. If you want to be treated poorly in a dirty store then go here. If you bring it up she will deny that she spoke with you. I think there’s some mental illness. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the risk.
This was my first time here and loved it!!! We bought several things and ate a terrific blueberry muffin. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again!
An art studio that holds a variety of classes, a tremendous amount of local artists work, and owners who are very helpful and interactive. There are really unique, beautiful, & funny gifts. I go frequently to see what has changed/been added. There arent many stores to buy unique hand-made gifts & support local artists. The artists also leave their cards, so you can learn more about their work. A great place to let your creativity shine, with a fun instructor in case you need some assistance. Also, on a recent visit with my family, my aunts liked some things, but they didnt have the sizes they wanted. The owner offered to contact the artist & let us know when they arrived! True customer service at its best!
I cant recommend this artsy store highly enough! The owner is really nice and accommodating. The items they stock are unique, creative, and darling. Its definitely worth a trip to Greendale to stop in this little gem of a store!
We have been to the fun and colorful KitscheCoo many times. We love the variety and funny items they have to offer. Please check out this unique store one street (Parking St.) west of the main drag (Broad Street)
Fun and relaxed pace fused glass class today. Helpful friendly owners, who let you do your own projects, but also offer samples and suggestions when needed. Additional classes that are more structured and a cute gift shop featuring Wisconsin artists.
This is a great little store. Its a 100% local small business that sells local artists wares. They have a ton of really amazing things. It ranges from jewelry, to fairy houses, to kids clothes, to pet items. Everytime I go I find something new and exciting! It made Christmas shopping pretty easy this year. And they have classes hosted weekly. You can sign up for the classes right on their website.
Beautiful store featuring so many talented crafters, artists and makers. Very creative owner! And the location is super quaint.
I recently attended a Paint Your Pet class and absolutely fell in love with this place! I really like how everything sold in the store is made by someone local. All the store items are so unique. I plan on doing all of my gift shopping here from now on. My friend and I had a blast during the painting class. Afterwards, the teacher of the class and owner of the store went through all the other classes they offer when I told her I was interested in bringing the children I nanny for in to make some gifts or just get creative. I highly recommend this place!!
Such a fun place! You feel like your in the owners home just crafting during the classes.. I definitely recommend it 😊
This store is amazing! Its like the Eastside grew up and moved to the suburbs. Super friendly staff and amazing artists showcased in a barrage of unique hand crafted items. There is truly something for everyone; art jewelry, candles, Bloody Mary mix, pet leashes, and the list goes on. Bravo KitchëCoo, your curation of products is reminiscent of the Eastside, truly Milwaukee and uniquely Greendale.
I love this all local artist, handmade shop! It is packed with so much awesomeness! The variety is a welcoming overwelmness! The workshops are fun and the owner is super nice. Definitely not a place for anyone with a stuck up nose and white gloves! Perfect for anyone who loves handmade creative gifts, and wants to be unique without using Kohl’s cash.. lol! Love this place!
This place supports several local artists. Such a cute little shop and Ill definitely be back to make more purchases. Im excited I found it! They had great customer service as well. :)
Love it here! Unique gifts & friendly staff. Would love to do one of your crafting classes one of these days. 😊
I have both shopped at KitcheCoo and taken many classes there. I love it!! I enjoy being able to be creative and try new things. Great energy and always helpful staff! I highly recommend KicheCoo!
A great place to find local products and gifts.
I love this little gem in Greendale. Not only are you supporting a local small business but independent artists. Every time I go in there I find something new and unique. Ive also taken a few classes and made some pretty cool stuff. Definelty check this place out!
Cute little village shop located in Historic Downtown GreendaleLots of very nice items
Before my wedding me and my girls did a paint your pet party here and the class was amazing! Price was much less than comparable classes at other places and our teacher Eleni was very attentive to each of us (SOOO much better than other painting classes I have attended) and so helpful in giving additional help and answering questions. We had an amazing time thanks to her expertise and the comfortable, fun environment. I would absolutely recommend the craft classes here to anyone!!!!
Always something fun to look at and purchase. They have classes. Definetly a great place to find gifts and a treat for yourself.
This is a fun store with unique items great for gifts!
KitscheCoo is the place to find the unusual, and they offer all kinds of classes that are fun.I stopped for Birthday cards today.
Left my 10-year old daughter in tears! Please read on:My daughter saved her allowance for weeks, hoping to make a purchase with her mom and grandma on a Monday afternoon. Turns out, the store where she wanted to buy something wasnt open on Mondays. Now, she could have spent her money in any of the various shops in Greendale, but instead decided to hang onto her money until she was able to come back. Impressed, her mom and grandmother brought her back the next day. While in the store the very next day, my wife had to step out because, evidently, the store does not contain a restroom that is open to the public. When my wife returned, she was petrified to find my daughter sobbing and her grandmother paying at the counter. Unfortunately, my daughter had accidentally knocked something off a shelf worth about six dollars. Policy aside, whatever is said, whatever your demeanor to make a ten-year old cry is atrocious! How dare you! Personally, I would have paid for it ten times over had you handled this situation with just a bit of compassion. I read the bios online and Im dumbfounded. I cant imagine anyone claiming to have any educational background would treat a child in this way. Eventually, my daughter moved on to another shop, and yes, she got over it. However, this is not how this type of lesson should have been taught. Is it fitting that when she walks into a store and sees a sign about breaking something that she should have anxiety? When I was younger, I broke a case of wine... A case! Do you know what the owner did? He apologized to my parents, worried that I could have gotten hurt. That was the 70s - whats going on with people today? You broke my daughters heart and left a sick feeling in my stomach.
This is one of the best stores in the Milwaukee area. They sell everything from local candles, to natural shampoo, to beer glasses with etchings of MKE and Wisconsin. Its like a brick-and-mortar Etsy. Everything is sectioned off by the artisan who produced it, and the prices are fairly reasonable for being handmade and local. They also have classes of the arts and crafts variety, but I havent taken one yet.
Friendly staff, relaxed environment, really nice art items.
This is a unigue boutique with a large variety of gifts and more.
Really unique store!
Great selection, helpful staff, excellent value. Looking forward to coming back.
Wonderful store- excellent for buying gifts and everyday products that support local creators
Unique gifts plus art classes. Cool vibe, friendly staff.
Delightful shop, wonderful class and instructor! Dont miss the opportunity to do glass fusing
Beautiful handmade goods and excellent learning opportunities! I recently attended KitscheCoo’s “Paint Your Pet” event and had an incredible experience. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body but was guided through the experience with humor and encouragement and came out with a painting of my dog that fills me with the warm fuzzies. I ended up staying late because I wanted the painting to turn out properly and after speaking with the owner, Eleni, she agreed to let me stay significantly later than the class was supposed to run and help me without hesitation. Even though she worked late for no additional money, she sat down and explained the steps I should take to finish the painting and the reasoning behind those steps. The store is filled with wonderful handmade goods and I will be returning frequently to purchase gifts for family, friends, and myself. I will also be on the look out for future classes taught here. Please ignore the one, anomalous 1 star review below. I refuse to believe that an employee of the store would even raise their voice at a 10 year old, much less leave them in tears after experiencing the patience they had with us beginners at the event. Based on your review, I have a strong feeling your daughter ignored the very visibly posted “You break it, you buy it” sign, knew she was going to be in trouble for breaking a handmade, locally crafted item, and knew those tears would get you on her side without question.
Great trinkets and knick-nacks.
Nice place, wonderful people, good variety. Very comfortable feeling about it. Offers classes!
Very rude when I called to ask a question about a few items finally just ended up driving there for the sale lady just to stand there and asked a few other costumers if they needed help ...completly by passed myself ..when I finally got to the front to ask a question I was rudely just staired at with a dumb founded look on the ladys face when I asked the question I just ended up saying thank you and left never again will I go there ..
Best place to shop local in the Village.
