I took my Subaru there for a free diagnostic check and Joseph followed up quickly with a thorough explanation of what they found and what he recommended for next steps. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I had all the information I needed to make the best choice for me and my vehicle. They got me in and out quickly when I was dropping off and picking up my vehicle and made sure I knew what to look for in case any issues popped up after the work they performed. This has been the first great experience I have ever had dealing with car issues . I called last week after one of the mechanics came to my job (dollar general ) to shop and I told him what issues I was having with my brakes .. he reassured me and told me to bring it in anytime they be more than happy to help me . I got an appointment for today and within two hours they told me exactly what it was and how they could fix it. Moral of the story I felt so comfortable and relieved that they was able to fix my brakes and get me going ! I had requested a quote for a transmission issue my vehicle was experiencing. The gentleman who manages the shop called me and let me know that there was a good possibility my vehicle was still under warranty and that I should contact the dealership to see if they could take care of it for me. Ive always received excellent service at this AAMCO location that I felt was also honest, and I highly recommend them. This time, they replaced an ignition coil and spark plugs, but theyve repaired transmissions and more for me as well. One time when I was expecting a really large bill, they uncovered that the issue was actually not as big as expected. It wasnt something they could fix, but they honestly identified the issue, and I was able to get it taken care of for a fraction of what I thought it was going to cost. Definitely recommend them...and Tony is great!

Let me say that being a AAMCO customer prior to this visit, I always have received wonderful service. That hasnt changed. Customer Service is as always great, time line was great, cost was very fair, and I am so very happy with the warranty, it is the best out there. They really care about the customers. Left my car with them while waiting on parts to come in for my transmission. While it was parked there it was vandalized. Someone tried to steal the catalytic converter. Literally left it draging the ground. Aamco refused to pay the $50 welding fee in order to keep my $1000 job. If I couldve given a 0 star I wouldve. I will NEVER RETURN.Now the response really cracks me up. The reason it was left there with you is bc you discussed a price with Rodney to put the part we bought in for us at around $950. It wasnt until u called and said it was vandalized that we came to pick it up. The last thing I wanted to do is leave it so the thief can come finish the job.... then I would be out 3-4 hundred instead of $50.... lol .... What exactly would you have done then... NOTHING just like you have done for us thus far.

I had issues with my BMW and had it towed to a local BMW dealership. The cost estimate from the dealership was almost $10k to replace the transmission and various other engine components as this is a high end BMW. I learned about Aamco Greensboro through a good friend that totally trusts the owner. So, I decided to have the car towed from the BMW dealership their shop. The owner took the time to fully diagnose the issues and even found another problem with the cars suspension that he repaired. In the end, they did not replace the transmission and made all of the other repairs for less than 1/5 cost of the dealership. The car runs and drives like its brand new! Now, I totally trust the owner too. He texted me almost every day and sent pictures of the items that needed repair.I would encourage anyone to take their car to this shop. Top notch, professional and transparent.

I recently went to AAMCO - Greensboro because I was convinced that I needed to replace the transmission on my 2014 Hyundai sonata.I talked over the different options with Tony - the owner of the Greensboro franchise and settled on a replacement that would have been warranted for 18 months or 18,000 miles. I was expecting to pay about $2000 for this. They gave me a nice loaner car to drive in the meantime.Well get this: Tony couldn’t find anything wrong with my car. He kept it for four days and drove it each day and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. He called me and told me so and then I came to the shop and we went for a long test drive. No problems… He said no charge! Can you believe it?This kind of generosity and integrity is rare nowadays. When you find it in someone you want to give him all the business you can.I highly recommend this shop for any kind of service that you need on your car. You will be well treated, just like I was.

Took my vehicle in here to get a 2nd opinion. After their diagnosis I did not even need all of the things that I was told I needed from the other place. Highly recommend AAMCO in Greensboro. They are fast, honest and experts at what they do. My vehicle was towed to their shop on a Wednesday. They rebuilt the transmission, repaired oil leaks and had it back up and running by the weekend. It is driving better now than it has in years. The guys are super helpful and their prices are very fair. It you need transmission work or any other type of repair, I would advise taking it to AAMCO on Gate City Blvd.

Was recommended by my sister whom was pleased with transmission work completed on her car. I am pleased with the work completed on my truck. Guys really knowledgeable and doesnt push extra work than what you want done but they will recommend services needed for you vechile. Will come back for other services other than transmission.Only down side Is labor cost his higher than other shops.

From the beginning, Tony and Vinay communicated really well with trying to help get my vehicle the best service possible! I had my car towed to their shop to be looked at (& have the radiator replaced) and was then informed of the few repairs needed within 24 hours. I only selected a few of the recommendations mentioned for repair, but The car was finished the next day! I went to pick it up but it seemed to have another issue that I wasn’t aware of and it caused a bit of irritation, so they had to take a second look at it. Mr Vinay was very polite with Assisting me and recommended to get the repair required in order to fix the issue or it could potentially cause more damage. I left my car over the weekend and picked it up today! Everything was “fairly” priced, Office space was clean and I have no complaints! (I was even offered a discount)👏🏾 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

My 98 Honda Accord with 150K on it needed a new clutch and fly wheel. I called three places (a local Honda dealer, a local shop I use for light service, and AAMCO) for quotes. The Honda dealership came in a little over $1500, the other shop can in at a little under $1200, and AAMCO came in a little under $900.My entire experience from start to finish exceeded my expectations. My initial call was answered by Dawn, the friendly and competent manager. She took down my information, then called me back within 20 minutes with a full quote. I was able to set a convenient time to drop the vehicle off, and pick then again to pick it up. When I picked it up, the bill and terms of the warranty were fully and thoroughly explained.The new clutch is working perfectly, and Im very happy with the result.I strongly recommend AAMCO. I felt they provided exceptional, professional service at an exceedingly competitive price. I will use them from now on for all of my transmission needs.

The service was very quick and excellent. Dropped my car off on Tuesday and got a diagnosis Tuesday evening. Parts were ordered that day and my car was fixed by Thursday. My service was not being able to shift gears in a 5 speed manual. Turned out to be my clutch, and since the transmission needed to be dropped they asked if I wanted to swap the transmission out since the labor would be the same, and there was a sound coming from my transmission. Total came out to $1900 for a new clutch, 100k transmission, labor, and a 12 month warranty on both. They even have loaner cars if your service will take a few days!Very pleased and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Tony and Ron and everyone else in the shop I didn’t see behind the scenes!

I am from SC and my car started leaking transmission fluid while I was in NC. Stopped at at AAmco at 4pm . The gentleman looked at it and said to leave it and he would check the next morning first thing. I wasnt able to leave it but dropped it off at 645. By 2 my car was fixed and I was heading back to SC. Thankful someone was willing to help 3.5 hrs from homeThank you

After getting referred to AAMCO, they were upfront with me from the start that this job would not cost that much. As a matter of fact they fixed my Heater for a fraction of the cost the other dealer quoted me. I was very happy with my service and have found a new place to bring my car for any type of service work.

Fixed my issue...an o ring in the coolant system sensor and set me on my way after seeing my leak was stopped.True testament God made Good people and they can be found at aamco. I had them rebuild the transmission in my car because seals were leaking keep in mind the transmission worked correctly . After getting my car back the transmission kept hanging in gear therefore not working correctly. Then I noticed the shifter was loose because somebody at aamco had over tightened the pan bolts that hold shifter bracket. Not sure how many bolt holes they stripped out but I do know none of the pan bolt holes were stripped when I took my car to aamco the first time because I had changed the transmission fluid and filter a few years before I took it to aamco. I also noticed they put wrong stall converter in my car. Now the over drive dont work. So now they owe me at least a 700r4 case but with all the issues they might owe me a entire 700r4 transmission

I came in..they robbed me without a mask...just a friendly smile...and somehow convinced me to return to them when my issue wasnt resolved $499.86 later! Go figure. Did i mention how friendly their smiles were. Then, well robbers do what robbers do...they returned to the scene of the crime...my wallet...and robbed me again. For $420.89. I gave him $425 cash. He gave me the $5 back, smiled real friendly like and said, dont worry about it. I guess he figured whats $0.89 cents for a good customer? Or maybe he figured why worry about $0.89 cents when youve got bigger issues to worry about like your whole front end being out of alignment & somehow losing all power steering!? To which they said, No, i didnt notice any difference from when you first dtopped it off. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! NOT TO MENTION MY ORIGINAL ISSUE IS STILL UNRESOLVED AFTER OVER $900 DOLLARS LATER!! They then had the nerve to recommend me to a good mechanic shop. It was DIRECTLY next door to....yeaaaa Ill pass.p.s. i tried to post this WITHOUT giving it a star. Apparently you cant. It made my soul cringe giving this establishment a star!!

Sucky place. Never fixed my transmission properly. Even after I returned it numerous times. Hard SLAM shifting and bad slippage. I will never go to SCAMMCO again. They suckered me into giving up my money but my transmission problems persisted long after they fixed it. They refused to correct the problem even after taking it back numerous times. And they stepped in the way of me getting the tranny repaired at another SCAMMCO under warranty. I would recommend anyone needing car repairs stay FAR AWAY from this place! Find a place thats recommended by several people or by several auto parts stores. I lost $2,500+ not to mention the frustration and time from taking it back to the shop numerous times. Watch out for Winston-Salem AAMCO as well since they are closely tied to Greensboro shop. As a matter of fact, just stay away from AAMCO altogether. They have a long history of scamming people. Just check on Rip Off Report.

I went there had them replace my transmission on my vehicle and paid almost 3000 for this and not only did I pay that much but as soon as I started driving my vehicle my car was making strange noise when I turned and even as I drove I took it back to them even called several times before I went to ask if they had an Idea, brought it in they said when fixing it dirty might have gotten into the strutes and that they would blow it out, then I drove away still hearing the noise they told me it may take a few days to get out, I waited two weeks still hearing this increasingly worsening noise, then I had to make a fuss for them to actually work on it they asked me to leave it for a few hours, come to find out they didnt align my strutes when they pulled them down to swap my transmission, The manager is who I spoke with most of the time and I asked about my strutes he just proceeded to tell me I may need new ones soon, and come to find out they may have not relayed some wiring properly with another component so I would not recommend them at all. The mechanics where nice but I felt some stuff wasnt right and I felt alittle upset about my strutes and The fact I went there a total of 3 times after and it took that long and me leaving for the problem to be solved. just be weary !!!
