I normally love this pharmacy. But since they started allowing covid testing in the drive thru line, the waiting time is ridiculous. I waited over 30 minutes with 2 cars in front of me. I was having bad pain that day that is why I didnt go inside. The car in front of me had multiple covid tests going on. They really need to leave the drive thru line alone to pickups and drop offs only or get a second window or dont do them. I had one med to pick up and it took 2 minutes max.
I am not the kind of person who often leaves distasteful reviews however after two visits I believe this is warranted! The customer service in the pharmacy is subpar at best! There is a line specifically for the service I was there to receive. I waited almost 10 minutes as staff walked by and did not even acknowledge me. Finally a staff member said “we have one line” prompting me to get into a line that was 3x as long as it was when I arrived. There was no apology or acknowledgment for this at all. Then when looking up my appointment, I was asked for additional information that was listed as optional at the time I made my appointment. When I shared that it was optional I was asked was I on Medicaid! Now, I have been in my childhood and have no judgment for anyone who is however I am a full time curriculum Facilitator with state insurance that I pay for so I can only assume that something about my appearance helped this employee arrive to this conclusion as I asked if this was stated in the system and was told no! The man who provided my direct service was very kind but this staff could use a nice training on how to communicate effectively with the population they serve!
Very nice check out person in the pharmacy on 7/31 at 9:30 pm! Person I called didn’t get the prescriptions correct but this lady straightened all out. She gets 5 stars!!
They need to do better. Tell ya ya one thing. You come back and it’s something different. Will not be going there again.
Other than pharmacy hours at this specific location absolutely satisfactory and been a customer for several years
Never been to a pharmacist like this one. It shouldn’t take anyone 40 minutes to have to wait in line to be waited on. And mind you, there were only THREE cars in front of me. I never had this experience at any other pharmacy I visited. It’s pathetic. I never experienced this at the Walgreens on Pisgah Church Road. I only came to this location because it’s the only pharmacy in my area that had availability for a Covid test on today. My supervisor need the results quickly. Regrettably, when registering for my appointment the one closer to my house on Pisgah Church Rd didn’t have any available appointments.I don’t recommend going to this pharmacy for any reason!
First time getting a prescription filled at this location, and it will definitely be the last time for me. Sent 3 prescriptions to this location to be filled, phoned in ahead of time to schedule a pick up time due to the holiday. Arrived at the drive thru for pickup, and was told that only two prescriptions were ready for pickup, the lady said the insurance wouldn’t cover the most important medication that I use daily(BP) which I was completely out of, so I offered to pay and was told that it ain’t ready and I would have to come back later. 1)I never received a phone call from the pharmacy advising me of this information prior to my arrival, so that I could offer to pay cash. 2)This is a daily medication that is absolutely covered by my insurance, so I knew that was untrue 3)The lady was a bit rude and unprofessional. I opted to take the high road and take the medications that they did fill and leave. The next day I phoned a completely different location, the staff was very professional and on top of that, I offered to pay cash and they told me that my insurance covers the cost, which was of no surprise to me. The Cornwallis location is one that I do not recommend because I had to go days without my BP medication due to misinformation from a rude and unprofessional pharmacy employee.
Needed some last minute supplies. I ordered online and picked up at the store. The order was ready in less than 30 minutes. I had an issue with a coupon applying online so the manager was able to help me out on the spot. I think we need to recognize our unsung heros like those who spend time away from their families to work and ensure that our families have what they need.Wishing everyone at the Cornwallis Walgreens a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I can’t express how grateful I am that employees like Ellis are taking care of my health & overall well-being. I’ve NEVER had anyone go above & beyond his job description to make sure that everything is in order with my prescriptions & medicine is ordered on time. I can only hope that more people get to have the excellent experiences I have when they do something as (one would hope) simple as going to the pharmacy. Even though it’s stressful at times, whenever I know that he’s taking care of my needs I know it’s going to be done not only accurately, but as precise as a surgeon, & superhuman “bedside manner”. Thank you Ellis.I know that this Walgreens pharmacy is one of the luckiest in the country.

If I could give this store zero stars I would. I went in to buy a present for my mother. Which was some perfume they had. I went on to go look at some make up brushes, and remembered that the brand of perfume I got had many different sents. I wanted to make sure it was the right sent so I opened the box to smell it. I then have a women as me If there is anything she can help me with? Politely I said no thank you I was just smelling this to make sure it was what I wanted, also I’m just looking at these make up brushes but thank you. The box I was looking at was a variety box of lotions the perfume and some other stuff, it was a $10.00 box. Then I went to the other side of the counter where I saw oh that they had bigger sizes and I even said that to the woman and she said “yup”. The bigger size bottle was about $55.00 or so.. also they had a big bottle of a perfume I was going to get for myself that cost about $70.00.. before I was going to ask an employee to get me the bigger bottles of perfumes, I went to the back to get my contact solution and my contact lense case because that was what I was originally there for.. what made my experience so bad is while I’m looking at the eye care I have this young man (who I already knew was following me) but when I turn around he is literally standing behind me just staring at me.. I turned back around and continued to search for what I was looking for.... and he literally stood there staring at me for a good 5-10 minutes.. it was very uncomfortable to me and it made me feel as if he and the women at the front thought I was going to steal. What they didn’t know what I was about to spend not only 50$ on my contact solution and eye drops and on some other things I needed, but I was also going to put the little $10.00 box of perfume and get both of the bigger bottles for my self and for my mother.. so in all I was Going to spend about $175.00 + tax... but since this young man wanted to stand at the end of the aisle making straight Eye contact with me... making me feel so uncomfortable, I just went put the $10.00 box back and walked out empty handed.. while I was walking to the front to put the box back the man even followed me. Never in my life have I felt so uncomfortable at a store and felt like I was being judged and followed.. also when I got in my car the the staff members including the women I spoke to and the man that followed me all watched me get in my car and leave. Like I was some criminal.. I had done nothing wrong. I smelled a product.. that’s it.. I do not recommend this store, if your like me and like to browse and make sure your getting the right thing. That was just rude and uncalled for and I know you wouldn’t have been following me around If you knew how much money I was spending with you. It’s ok I’ll never be back again!
Based on my experience today only! Went to get 1 specific sale item. Associate on the floor could not have been more rude. Purchased one more item and at check out, cashier wasnt rude but acted as if she would have rather been somewhere else. Will find another Walgreens.
Not enough workers but loads of people.👀.. Not safe.... Need signage on the floor to help people stay 6 ft apart.....I came in stood in line but it was too long with 1 cashier so I left....I luv the store yall just need more people helping get customers in and out
Experience rudeness from a pharmacy staff not the customers fault you have selective hearing when I was explaining my reason for calling you just wasnt listening & never gives customer time to speak before you cut them off!! Do Better
First of all, I used to LOVE this store. I came in all times of the day and never had any bad experiences. Some of the new people who work here...not so much. Still same clean organized store but the cashier Shelby doesnt need to work in customer service. He is rude and inpatient. I wont visit this store again.
Should train your staff on how to wear mask . Went tonight around 12 am and one employee didn’t have a mask on and tried yelling at me and the manager also didn’t even have his on proper and said we couldn’t be served if I didn’t have one . I have a medical condition and was discriminated against but yea maybe you should do more training on proper Ppe and customer service.
AWFUL!!! I needed my prenatal vitamins since Friday. They were out of stock apparently every where in Greensboro so today, Monday I called to refill them because I was told they would be ready today. I called and the tech acted like she’s never heard of the vitamins a day in her life. She put me on hold 4 times and then transferred to me to someone who hung up on me. I called again TWICE and no answer then I called a third time and got a helper who obviously was equally as incompetent who then tried to transfer me AGAIN and had me on hold for 10 minutes. Let’s get it together please!!
I have never had a questionable experience at Walgreens on Cornwallis. Ellis is an invaluable asset to the pharamacy! I was attempting to move my mothers Rxs from Walmart Pyramid Village (what an absolute nightmare!) to this Walgreens location. One of the staff said she made two attempts to obtain them, but was apparently unsuccessful. I had the good fortune of connecting with Ellis; he stated to me he would take care of it and he certainly did in an expeditious fashion. Also last fall and prior to transfer of Mothers Rxs, I stopped there to inquire about flu vaccinations for her (age 100) and Nanny (82) before bring them from my vehicle. The pharmacist was wonderful! I provided their information, completed the process, and he then came outside and gave their vaccinations. What a blessing for all of us!
We shop here several times a week. The prices are reasonable. There is a good selection. The store is clean. I can get what I need and be out of the store in minutes.

The staff in the pharmacy is great... I love these people... They take good care of me... Rob Ben Maria Hitat these guys are amazing... They treat me like family... Never go anywhere else... Not only a pharamcy... Lots of selections of other things... Even snacks and cookies at $1.00... Specials are cool and plenryful.. Lits of christmas presents and Christmas candy 🍬 and cookies 🍪
