Some shady stuff goes on here. Got my car fixed and told me I needed to get new brakes asap. Been over six months and got second opinion on brakes. They are still good.
Mrs. Pam was amazing. She was very welcoming and polite. The shop was quick and very efficient. I will definitely be returning for my auto care needs.
Great service and Pam was very informative. My son goes to ECU and was having issues with the steering and front suspension. Greenville Automotive repaired his 4Runner at I think a fair price and he says it drives like a new one. Great job!
Fantastic repair show where they are honest and do good work at fair prices.
Excellent experience! Pam and the staff at Greenville Automotive Center were very nice and extremely helpful when my ECU student’s vehicle needed repair and was unable to make the drive home to our usual mechanic. They were straightforward with us regarding the issues as well as the costs. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with auto repair needs in the Greenville area!
I have dealt with this garage for about 5 years I took a vehicle to them with the full understanding repairs were going to cost up wards of 5,000 dollars.2 days later I get a call and am told that it will only cost about 1,000 dollars it wasn’t as bad as we thought. I would highly recommend this facility it is not often that you find this kind of honesty and integrity.
My son is an ECU student and is away from home. His truck needed repairs after researching auto mechanics in the Greenville area I came across the Greenville Automotive Center. I called and talked to Pam. I explained my situation and expressed that I needed my son to be taken care of. Pam understood my situation and took my sons vehicle in. The repairs on my sons vehicle required troubleshooting and they took the time needed to find the actual issue and repaired it. For the same issue if I would of sent my son to the dealership the cost would of been well over $1,000.00. Pam treated my son and I with respect and didnt talk down to him when he was at their facility. It is comforting to know that my son didnt get the run-around that some businesses give ECU students in the area that are on a limited budget or are of a different race than the owners. I HIGHLY recommend Greenville Automotive as they were very patient, thorough, fair priced and considerate of our situation. Pam was very easy to talk to and kept me informed. Its comforting to know that if my son has any issues with his vehicle while at ECU that he can take his vehicle to Pam and she will take care of his vehicle quickly and wont take advantage of him. My son will continue to use Pams services and will continue to encourage all of his ECU friends to take their vehicles to Pam.ECU parents give Pam a call. You wont be disappointed!
After having read all of the positive reviews, I took my car to Greenville Automotive Center. I will post my bill details and let you decide for yourself. 3 days at shop (looked at/fixed 3rd day). 4 spark plugs. 1 Mass Airflow Sensor. 1 Coolant System Pressure Test. Total= $494. The car runs very well and Pam was nice.
Dont let the infrastructure fool you, the staff are professional and knowledgable. Chances are you will be getting the best price in town with them.
GREAT service. AWESOME and HONEST people. FANTASTIC prices. This is the ONLY place my ECU student goes for car service/repair. You will not be disappointed. They understand how it is to be 100 miles away and your student has car issues. If I lived in Greenville, this would be MY service center of choice.
Supper nice and helpful staff. They knew what they where talking about and made getting my car fixed a painless event!
I’m a student at ECU and about 3 hours away from home. So when my car broke down I️ had to find someone to tow and fix my car. Greenville Automotive Center fixed my car in 2 days and at a reasonable price! They were very helpful and nice! Highly recommend them!
I recently moved from New Jersey and was having some car troubles. Greenville Automotive Center had some good reviews so I called and spoke with Pam who told me to bring my car right in. Im so glad I found this place! Pam was so nice and extremely helpful. They diagnosed the issue and fixed my car in just a few hours! I was so pleased with their service and recommend them highly! I will definitely return for future needs!
Pam was great! My daughter is a freshman at ECU, she read all your great reviews. They diagnosed the issue quickly and fixed it in a timely manner. Great prices too!!! Thank you!
Pam and Julian always take great care of me. Having moved to Greenville in the last year, it has been a relief to find a reliable automotive repair shop. These people are car people. Simple or complex, the repair is completed expertly. Will definitely continue to do business with them. Great people to do business with.
Unimpressed. A family member used this place for years and recommended them highly, but personally I felt they didnt try very hard to fix my issues. I came back several times for the same issue and the last time they didnt even bother looking at it.
Pam was so helpful and knowledgeable, she took care of everything for my car and even went as far as contacting an external towing service so that I would not have to find one myself! She was very fast and well-priced... will not go anywhere else in Greenville!
Most enjoyable experience you can have while trying to deal with car problems! Pam was very helpful and sweet! I am a female college student so I was nervous about finding a place I could trust. A friend recommended this place to me and I will never go anywhere else. They communicated with me and I even called my dad to help me explain to him what was going on and what was needed! Great business!
Very reasonably priced service and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. They conducted a thorough diagnostic on our vehicle and were able to determine the exact problem that the engine was experiencing. I also had them install two new tires that were also very reasonably priced. Pam even stayed beyond their closing time to accommodate my daughter picking our vehicle up that evening which I was very grateful for. They have my business for as long as my daughter lives in Greenville and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a place to service their vehicle. God Bless Greenville Automotive Center, the staff and their family members! Respectfully, Craig
I have never been more pleased with the service here at Greenville Automotive. I am originally from Charlotte and just purchased my first car a few months ago from a place in Monroe NC. The guy that sold me my car would look at my car and say nothing was wrong. I brought it here, Greenville Automotive, and Pam greeted me with a smile, she also was very helpful and knew a lot about cars. Although I had so many questions she had no problem taking me back to the mechanics to ask specific questions. The mechanics in the shop are knowledgeable and reliable and wont trick you for your money like most places will. As soon as I told them the problems I was having with my car and what kind of car I had, they started rattling information off about the times it was recalled for the catalytic converter setting on fire in 2002 and so many other things. It was so relieving to finally be able to find a kind and reliable place to take my car. Although my car was in need of an entire new engine, I would recommend the facility/shop to everyone I know. Very knowledgeable, personable, and willing to work with you. I am so pleased with my experience and I will continue to come back here for as long as I can.
Greenville Automotive Center was awesome. They were courteous, knowledgable and completely honest! My sons car died while at college 7 hours from home, found Greenville Automotive and spoke with Pam. Got car towed to them and the next day they called and said it was just a key fob lockout issue. They explained to him how to fix and didnt charge my son any money, What a stand up shop! Thank you!
As an ECU student I was nervous about being taken advantage of as I don’t know much about cars. However, the staff at Greenville Automotavie Center are not only extremely knowledgeable, but they are trustworthy! I received a quick fix, awesome prices, and amazing customer service. I would definitely be a repeat customer should I have any further car issues! Thanks for the help Greenville Automotive Center!
They have a super friendly staff. They were not only super fast but its reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend going here as I will be going back here in the future.
I honestly have no idea how they have all these great reviews. This is probably one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with an auto shop. Not only did they install and correct problems on my car before calling me and notifying me with a price quote, they also grossly overcharged for several tasks. Because they went ahead and fixed parts in my car, I was left with no choice except to pay what they charged instead of being given the chance to find a more ideal competitors price. They charge a ridiculous amount for a diagnostics test ($90) due to them using advanced and expensive equipment whereas another local body shop (plaza auto service) charges $35. I even provided them with one of the two codes they found with their diagnostic by getting a FREE check at Advanced Auto and they still charged me $90.Additionally their attitude soured quickly as soon as we asked any questions about charges, lack of notification, or competitors prices. I quote Quit their bitching, just take it off. We were never looking for discounts or price cuts. Why is answering customer questions so hard a task that it requires such a disgusting attitude? Safe to say Ill never recommend a friend to come here and Ill take a much longer look at google reviews in the future. They deserve a 1-2 star on their best day.
I have utilized Greenville Automotive twice. Both times they were very knowledgeable about the situation I had with my 97 Jeep Wrangler. They described to me in detail where the issues laid, and how best to address them. Ive had that jeep in and out of shops over the past 5 years, and they are the only shop in Greenville that I actually had confidence in that they knew what they were doing, and would take the most affordable route to resolving my jeeps issues. Pam and Julian are both great folks to work with and I will take my jeep there any time it has issues. And it will. It is a JEEP (-:
Amazing service!!! Very nice and hardworking people. They were able to fix my car that I drove into a flood and thought was totaled for a very fair price. Would 100% recommend taking your car to.
I have moved around all over the country due to being in the Navy. One of the first businesses I try to find in a new area is a good automotive shop. I am a recent transfer student at ECU and got to asking around various students, faculty, and coworkers. Greenville Automotive Center kept coming up in our discussions. I consider word of mouth to be very strong advertisement, especially for local businesses. I arrived late on a Thursday afternoon to drop of my truck and Pam was awesome at making me feel welcomed listened to my list of issues with my truck. She walked me through the process of what would more than likely take place and said she would call me with updates. I expected that it would take at least a week and a half to have all of the parts and work done, but it only took about 3 days for them to have checked all the leaks in my truck, fix the ignition module, fan blade, and a whole lot of other issues. The truck has been running fine thanks to them. After they fixed it, I got to meet Julian the master mechanic. He explained all that they had fixed and both he and Pam called the local Ford dealership about a recall offer that got fixed for free!My wife and I just used them again to fix her car and get a state inspection knocked out. They do great work with honest prices. You turn your car in when they first open and the turn around time is super quick. They will be our go to spot for any vehicle trouble. Thanks again Pam and Julian!
Did an exceptional job at an extremely fair price! Not from the area, so I was skeptical as to which mechanic I would go to for inspection and repairs on my G35, but Pam and the whole team treated me extremely well and did everything in a timely matter. Definitely found my go-to shop! Thanks yall
I just moved here for school and needed to find a place to work on my car. I went to several other places before going here & what stood out was the office manger that works there. Pam was so nice! And she made me feel very welcomed. When I picked my vehicle she was very informative in letting me know what all the mechanics had done & what I should do on a regular basis to maintain my vehicle. Great place! Will definitely use again in future!
After taking my car to a shop and not getting my problem fixed and being over charged, I took my car to them and took care of the problem in a couple of days. Very trustworthy and very nice. I have some other maintenance to be done soon and Im going to trust them from now on!
Pam and the folks are great. We originally took our Acura for service to Barbour Hendrick Honda. They tried to RIP US OFF with a long list of items which required repair in hopes of selling us a car. Thankfully we walked way and had our SUV serviced by Greenville Automotive. They were excellent in every way. The work was done right, and for much less than the Honda Dealer. If your vehicle requires service, please reach out to Pam. You wont be disappointed!
Pam was very very helpful to me and super sweet. The shop got things done so quickly as well, in and out the same day and reasonably priced. For a person who does not understand a thing about cars, Pam explained things so well and really helped me out.
Overall great experience! My car was overheating and I was able to get an appointment with them right away. Their mechanics were able to solve my issue and I was able to drive my car from Greenville back to New Bern that exact same day. I was also without a means of transport to pick up my car, and one of their mechanics was able to pick me up. I was pleased with the fact that they didnt find some reason to charge me for unneeded parts or work, such as previous locations. Great spot and I will consider coming here over other places, when I need any car work done.
Stay AWAY ! They were very rude and I ended up having to take my car to another shop to have the repairs done again... I cant help but think they left the clamps loose so we would have trouble with the car again ! My daughter is in school in Greenville and you really want to find someone you can trust to look after your childs car when they are out of town and have to drive several hours home on 64. I would never take anything to this shop
This place is amazing. Great and honest service. Very friendly staff. They always go above and beyond for their customers. Pam has driven me home when i was without a ride so i did not have to wait while my car was being worked on. I have an older vehicle and often run into problems. They always take the time to explain to me the issue and offer me affordable options to solve the problem. My vehicle drives wonderfully after it has had any kind of maintenance from here. I highly recommend Greenville Automotive.
This place was absolutely amazing! Pam is the sweetest woman alive and was so honest with me through the whole process! I will absolutely be returning to this place for the rest of my stay in Greenville!
This is by far the BEST car and customer service I have ever experienced. Pam is so helpful and thoroughly explains every automotive service. I have been back to Greenville Automotive Center numerous times because of their honesty, efficiency, and overall great automotive work.
The best car shop in town. They will tell you exactly what is wrong with your car, educate you on how the problem occurred, provide clear price estimates, and then do quality work. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else unless I absolutely had to.
I HIGHLY recommend Greenville Automotive Center !! The service was Great and Pam and the guys in the shop are Super people to work with. I live 4hrs away but my son lives in Greenville. We had been using another garage in the area the past year but when his Jeep was in need of a new oil pan it took them(the other garage) 3 days to call me with a quote and then said they could not do it on the day we had scheduled. I then called G.A.C., told Pam what I needed done. She called me back in 1hr with a quote that was cheaper than the other garage so we scheduled to have it done on the Friday before Memorial Day. They close at 5:30, when we got there at 5:15 they were still working on it and stayed until 6:45 to finish it. The owner even test drove it to make sure everything was to his liking before he let us have it. Any other garage would probably told us it would be Tuesday after Memorial Day before they could finish. As long as my son lives in Greenville this will be our garage when he needs repairs or oil changes. Again I HIGHLY recommend Greenville Automotive Center to anyone in the Greenville area that has car troubles. Just look at all the other reviews. They are GREAT people to deal with. Thank You G.A.C.
My 2004 Sonatas starter recently went bad and needed an immediate replacement. After seeing great reviews, I called this place first and was greeted with Pam who told me to come right away. A few days later, I came back and waited about 45 minutes to get my car back after paying for parts and labor. While waiting I was treated with good old southern hospitality and friendliness. When I got my car back, it started up this good before. As a ECU student, I received excellent service, good people, and great prices. I recommend this place to anyone in need of repairs!
Pam and everyone who works there went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I am new to Greenville and used the reviews I found online to make my decision as to where to have my vehicle fixed and I was not disappointed. I will definitely return if I need service in the Future. A+
Professional over the phone, they fixed my daughters car,but $551 for a starter on a 09 Honda civic is ludacris.
Extremely happy we found Greenville Automotive Center. My daughter goes to ECU and lives there now instead of coming back to NY. Her car wouldnt start. I was happy to find them close to her home after doing a google search. Best decision we ever made. Theyre knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and care about their customers. You dont find many shops like this anymore. Her car was fixed that day after not starting. They found the problem quickly and fixed it right away. They even called the next day because they were thinking about the problem and would like to do something else to make sure she doesnt ever get stuck. I was amazed. As a parent I have one more reason to be happy about her being in Greenville, and thats greenville automotive center. Dont bother looking any further!!! Oh, and Pam is amazing!!
I go to school at ECU and was having car troubles. Being 8 hours away from home makes it difficult to find a good place to take my car that I can trust and depend on. They were extremely helpful and it was a pleasant experience. Ill be sure to come here if I run into any problems in the future. Not only are they friendly but they are honest, something that is not easy to find these days!
Amazing Service. I called made and appointment and as soon as I got there the began to work on my car. They are great people. Great price, great service, I cant recommend enough
Fantastic experience with GAC. I went here to have my Honda checked out after some transmission issues. They checked it out for free, explained the pros and cons of different options and didnt rush or pressure me. Pam made me feel more than welcome and the guys working on the car took the time to explain everything and patiently answered my endless questions. The prices they quoted me were about 1/3 of the dealer to boot. Found this place through Google reviews and it lived up to its 5 star reputation. Ill definitely be going back!
My daughter is a student at ECU and there is always a level of apprehension sending your vehicle for repairs when you are unfamiliar with a business. Let me assure you, this repair shop has been honest, friendly and helpful. They will be my go to shop in the future and would recommend them to anyone.
My son hydroplaned and hit a curb while attending ECU in Greenville, NC. I called Greenville Automotive Center and spoke with Pam. When the car was towed in, she called me with a quote and worked with me to figure out the best plan of action since the entire suspension in the front and the wheel on the drivers side needed to be replaced. She communicated with me every step of the way and even texted me pictures so that I could see what was going on. I really appreciate how they took care of everything and kept cost at a minimum. Great down to earth people! Thanks for everything!
Pam is such a sweetheart! My dad gave me a car that had some issues and she kindly let me know it wasnt worth saving. They also gave me some help on junking it or trading it in. I really appreciated the kindness they showed and if I have an mechanical issues I will go back!
I am new to the area and saw Greenville Automotive had high reviews. I called about an A/C issue I was having. Pam squeezed me in that day, Recharged my A/C and told me about the small leak I had and the labor it would require to fix it. The leak was small and she instructed me it may be beneficial to just recharge as needed. They were honest and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.
I highly recommend Greenville Automotive Center and Pam !My daughter was traveling out of town and her vehicle broke down near Greenville, NC. I found Pam and her team online, did some inquiring and could not be more pleased with how we were treated and the service they provided. Prompt hometown service for an out of town visitor. Thanks for getting her Jeep in fast and the issues resolved!!
My daughter is a student at ECU and I live all the way out in California, so naturally I wanted to find a shop that I could trust being so far away. A shop that I was confident that my daughter could go to and not be taken advantage of. My daughters car needed a few minor things fixed on it, so I had a buddy look up automotive shops on yelp for me. He told me there was a small shop near the University that had a five star rating and how to get to it. I went by the shop after it was already closed for the day, and was met by Pam standing out in the parking lot. Without hesitation, she invited me in and we set up a plan to get the car worked on the very next day. From the very second I met Pam I felt like I had known her for years and immediately felt at ease. Greenville Automotive Center fixed my daughters car and left me with the peace of mind that if anything happens while Im so far away, the car and my daughter would be taken good care of. Do yourselves a favor and give them a try!
My daughters car needed repair and they got the car right in..did a great job and Pam stayed late so she could pick up her car that evening. Great customer service. Thanks Pam!
Never take your car or anything to this shop, the customer service was awful and they didn’t fix any of the problems my car had, they actually made them worse, to think someone would do something so disrespectful is truly sad. Stay away!!!
Blew a shock on my dodge ram on my way back into town one night. The next evening I brought it into Greenville Automotive, they overnighted the parts and I had my truck back by noon the next day. Pam, the shop manager is great with communication and asks before doing anything extra, no surprises. If youre in town for school and looking for a trust worthy mechanic, you found one.
My son is a student at ECU and was having car trouble. I contact Greenville Automotive and was met with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They towed my sons vehicle to their facility and diagnosed the issue. They made the necessary repairs in a timely manner and kept me informed throughout the process. In a world where you have to worry about being taken advantage of it was refreshing to find such nice and honest folks to do business with. I would recommend this shop to anyone with any car issues. Five (5) stars from me. Thank You Greenville Automotive!!!!!!
Great experience. Pam was a pleasure to work with. I dropped my car off in the morning, received a phone call with a quote and had my car back by that afternoon. I will definitely take my car back if ever needed.
Very friendly and straightforward staff. Fair and considerate. I would absolutely recommend checking them out.
Excellent service and friendly staff! My vehicle is running smoothly again. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend Greenville Automotive Center!
We’ve gone to Greenville Automotive Center three times now. We’ve had excellent, warm customer service all three times. One time, they repaired a broken spark plug, and then a month later, the problem returned, and we took it back, and they said that they had made a mistake and did that repair free of charge. We were impressed by their honesty. We’ll go back and tell everyone we know to go there!
A few months back my car broke down on campus, being a student here i didnt have a local mechanic. After speaking with Pam on the phone, i was sure my car would be in good hands with them. Working on a small budget they allowed me to purchase my own parts (without warranty) and after fixing my fuel pump module i had my car back in less than 48 hours. Today i needed to have an inspection so i returned, and after failing me for a few reasons, they helped me get it up to par free of charge besides the inspection fee. Great timely service, friendly honest people. 5 stars
Pam was very pleasant to work with. Gave an accurate quote and a quick turnaround. Will definitely be bringing future business to her.
Great shop! Doesnt look like much from the outside, but that could be a good thing. They have the tool necessary to get the job done. He quickly diagnosed my car and fixed issues I didnt even know I had!I did need the unknown repair. It was a blown out engine mount he showed me when I picked the car up from the shop. Its a very noticeable difference having it replaced on my 2007 Chrysler 300C.He showed me both parts that were replaced. I have total peace of mind that he only did what the car needed and didnt try to up-sell any extras.
Despite its somewhat run-down appearance, this is an excellent place. Pam works with confident know-how and a pleasant, trusting style.
VERY RUDE and unprofessional staff. I recently made a phone call to this place and the etiquette made me very uneasy. It makes you not even want to show up. I told the woman on the phone about a recent encounter with another mechanic followed by “would you all charge to look at it”. She responded (very rudely) “yeah you just paid them $80 to do nothing and expect us to do it for free”. It is not my fault I dealt with a faulty mechanic and she decided to take it out on me. The entire phone call was unwelcoming and rude. I would never STEP FOOT in this place due to their lack of proper customer service.
Ive taken my vehicle to GAC many times. Pam and Julian are always friendly and helpful! Extremely reasonable pricing for excellent work - GAC is a very honest and reliable shop. It gives me peace of mind to have a trustworthy place to take my vehicle to :)
While in Greenville I thought I had to get my car serviced, so I went here. They were friendly, timely and very honest.they could have told me anything because I really thought I had damaged my car,but they didnt. GREAT service.
Took my car there to fix my automatic driver window. They said just the motor and assembly parts with the automatic function would be $400, and without the automatic function it would be $200. Thats without added labor costs. I went to AutoZone and picked up the motor and assembly WITH the automatic function for $130 and did the job myself.
Pam is great! Great service good price! Thanks
Trust can be a difficult commodity in the automotive repair business. Greenville Automotive Center has been servicing my vehicles for several years, and Im feeling the trust. Most recently, I brought them a 1994 Chevy Caprice Classic that had been mostly idle since my father died in 2008. I was convinced it needed a new transmission and possibly a new rear end. It needed a lot of other things, but Greenville Automotive made only the necessary repairs and put that car back on the road running like new. I trust them completely and will continue brining all my vehicles to them.
They are super nice and know what they are talking about! Great customer service, I trust them with my car 100%
Ive been bringing my car to them for a few years and I always get great service and theyre fantastic people.
I had two cars that needed repairs and they got my Jeep Compass back on the road quickly and efficiently and I greatly appreciate that and Thank You for having patience with the second one. You guys are the greatest!
My son has used this shop a few times over his college career. Since he is not a car person, its painful having a diagnostic conversation when he thinks something is wrong. My interactions with the shop have been great. They are straight forward, knowledgable and have never tried to do a larger repair than necessary. Even better, weve never had to take the car back for the same problem. We tried this shop origianlly based on the reviews and are very glad we did. I highly recommend them.
Looking for a good car mechanic shop is like looking for a doctor. It better be good, and most importantly: it has to be trustworthy. I just moved to greenville a few month ago and it was time for the regular car maintenance stuff (oil change, brake checks, tire rotation, etc). A few local friends told me to try this place. I did try shopping around before finally going to this place. This place looks like a family-owned / family operated shop and I like that because in a place like this usually the mechanic is experienced and they are willing to go the extra mile to give you good service, because they actually own the business. And at this particular place, it seems like they take pride in their good service. In any case, other than good service, the bottomline is:1. Their price is competitive here2. They dont try to screw you over unnecessary stuff (which is my biggest fear when it comes to car mechanic)3. They explained to me in details what the problems were and told me what to watch out forGranted that I only went for simple maintenance stuff this time, so I cant comment for bigger jobs, such as engine problems, transmission stuff / gearbox, etc, but I am planning to go back here for whatever I need for my car, unless its something they cant handle.
GAC is amazing, I took my car in to replace an O2 sensor and they were fast and completely straightforward. They told me how much it would cost up front and there were no surprises when I got my bill. It was fixed in a few hours and Pam was so very nice. I hope that nothing else goes wrong with my car but in the event that it does, I will definitely be going back to GAC!
Awesome, honest service at a great price! Found their service searching google and read the reviews, and they were spot on! A great family owned repair center that is not into jerking you around or replacing unnecessary parts! My daughters car broke down and I had my car towed there on their online reputation alone...and I wasnt disappointed! She gave me a quote, they ran diagnostics and I didnt pay a penny more than she quoted! I thank you and would refer anyone to your place! Thanks for the honesty and quick work to get my daughter back on the road!
These guys are great. Brought my daughters Jeep in with brake issues and they were able to repair right away, plus oil change, plus very clever (cheap!) repair to her bad alarm fob, all by that afternoon. The place looks like Mayberry Garage circa 1950, but dot let that throw you. Excellent repair, amazing price. 5 stars to them!
Great people and great, quick service!! Definitely will visit here again for my car needs
My sons vehicle broke down 80 miles from Greenville on the way back to ECU. After having AAA handle the towing and asking the tow truck driver to recommend a repair center, we ended up at GAC. The communications were open and honest and approx. 24 hrs later, our vehicle is up and running with no apparent issues. The lead mechanic looked beyond the primary problem to find other collateral issues that would have eventually caused another breakdown. It is comforting to know that there are still some honest people in this industry and I would certainly recommend GAC to anyone.
My son called me in a panic that the car wouldnt start. Since I live over an hour away I had no idea who to call for repairs. I selected Greenville Automotive Repair based soley on their website ad saying that they put their customers first and provided service at reasonable cost. Pam was wonderful!!! She was able to get the car in right away and fixed within hours. She even arranged transportation for him to pick up the car when the work was complete. The price was reasonable and the service can not be beat!! Im hoping for no car trouble in the near future, but GAC can count on me as a loyal customer if I do! I am relieved to have found someone that I can trust and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Updated: We have used Greenville Automotive Center several times over the past 4 years for our daughters who are students at ECU. (The shop is walking distance to campus) Most recently our Honda Civic was having engine trouble. My daughter had it towed to GAC on a Friday. I told her she would probably need to find transportation for the weekend. To my surprise Pam called me that afternoon to let me know the problem was a sensor and she could have it finished by the end of the day. Highly recommend this shop. A Great shop and staff.2 years agoWe loaned our daughter our car while she is attending East Carolina University. During the winter cold snap in Greenville, she called to tell us the car would not start. We first tried AAA for a jump but that was not the problem and we would need to have the car towed for service. As out of state parents, we did not know where to have the car repaired. We Googled repair facilities in Greenville and found Greenville Automotive Center. The reviews were outstanding and the Center was near the ECU campus. We spoke to Pam and she handled all the details in a very professional and friendly manner. We felt both our daughter and our car would be in good hands. Everything went very smoothly. The service was done in a timely manner and at a cost that was very reasonable to us. Sometimes its hard to go on reviews alone, but in this case the reviews were spot on. GAC is a trusted repair facility and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I am beginning to question the validity and veracity of the comments posted in reference to Greenville Automotive Center. I contacted them recently and the lady who answered was very hurried and pushy, she kept saying call me back, tell me what you want me to do. When I finally called back, a man answered and I began to explain to him the issue I was having. I explained to him the starting issue and ruled out other possible issues, he asked how do you know that, I told him a had a mechanic stop by and look and he started asking what tools the guy used as if I was breathing down his neck while he tested various vehicle components. He then asked are you going to self-diagnose? Very rude and pompous. I wouldnt let these people touch my vehicle with a 10 foot pole!
They were so nice and offered a great price for all of the work that I had done.
Very quick and very nice people. And very good prices
Very friendly with great service. I would highly recommend.
Greenville Auto Center was my first choice when I had front end troubles in my Jeep since they did a good job with my girlfriends Honda that needed some A/C work. I got my Jeep towed there on Monday afternoon and was told it would get looked at the next morning. To my surprise, Pam called me about 20 minutes after I left and they told me that had it on the lift and they had diagnosed the problem and quoted how much it would cost to replace the parts. They had my Jeep ready to go the following morning by 10:45AM, which is absolutely incredible by anyones standards. Pam and the staff were incredibly friendly over the phone and in person as well. The reason for two stars: Once I had already paid them for the labor and parts, I drove it home and took a closer look at the receipt. They charged me $116 for each part ($228 for both), from which they purchased from OReillys. I looked on OReillys website for those exact parts, which I could have picked up myself, in-store, for $58 a piece ($116 for both). I called Pam back thinking that they had accidentally charged me twice for the parts. I was told that they add a 35% mark-up on all parts they have to purchase. I said that charging double the price for the parts is not a 35% mark-up, its a 100% mark-up. I was then told that if I wanted to do anymore business with them, then I could purchase the parts and they would only charge me labor. If I had known this from the beginning, I could have saved myself over $100.Overall, the staff was very friendly and courteous, but lacked professionalism, and they work incredibly fast and had my Jeep diagnosed and fixed within 18 hours.
Great service, brought my vehicle in and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 2 days. Fair pricing.
Very unprofessional, I got yelled at.So the owners wife answers the phone and I tell her what I need done and its like shes never heard of any car terms her whole life I can only imagine the dumb founded face that went with her whaaaat comment.she hands the phone to the owner and he knows exactly what Im talking about but as Im inquiring about pricing his tone gets louder and louder. This man is practically YELLING at me telling me not to by parts from a reputable online dealer that I personally trust. This did not go any further, I told the man that he sounded mad at me and told him I would inquire elsewhere.
As a customer who has spent more than $2000 at this company, I was thoroughly disgusted with the way I was treated this morning (6-3). I made an appointment to get my evaporator for my AC blown out. They looked at it for less than 5 minutes, told me they needed to take the dashboard out (at least $600). I asked why and showed them where the leak was actually coming from. Their mechanic Julian says, Oh, if you know it better than us, why dont you fix it. Well, I just left speedee, after they fixed it for $42.50.I had the misfortune of talking with Julian and Pam. I highly recommend avoiding this place. There are plenty of alternatives.
They worked with me to get my truck fixed.
Very rude service.
