Called and spoke with one of the staff today about a few coins I had. I wanted to get some advice even sell If possible. So many people that work in retail need to acquire the people skills their staff has. The nice women took the time to talk to me and help me decide what steps I should take to get an accurate value of what I have. I dont want to pile on too much here, because I used to like this place back when they were on Augusta. But I just tried to sell some Morgans and only got offered $10 a coin and $3 for silver half dollars. I kept the coins because I can easily get $15 and $5 a piece from other places. I will try again next time I have something to sell and update if their prices get more competitive. But those cheap prices really add up when you are selling a lot of coins.

This is a great place for the collector who likes to see lots of coins! Many of the cases are packed full of great coins and many of them are reasonably priced. Plus the woman who was working there was quite friendly! I found a nice 1923 Peace dollar to add to my collection. Will certainly visit again next time Im in Greenville.

Very helpful. Needed to liquidate some silver bars and rounds. Other places wanted to pay between $7 to $2 under spot. Jud, the owner, was more than fair, didnt take advantage.

The guy was completely rude! I walk in at 4:55 to sell coins, he is mad BC I was in there 1 minute past 5 and says I need to leave he did me a favor for just letting me in! His price was low balling me anyway! GO ACROSS STREET TO COIN DEPOT! They gave me $50 dollars more he offered me 100... they gave 155

Ive been to lots of coin stores and this is not one I would recommend the old man and the young girl was rude and did not kno what they were talking about I was very insulted bye there offer on some coins I had I went across the street and doubled what they offered. my word if advice is they should shut down and he should retire

Never made it to the store. Called the store twice over a six month period. Last time I had a couple Uncirculated 1964 Kennedy half dollars, 90% silver. I knew I would not get retail, or even retail for a worn heavily circulated coin. But he said he would give me $5. Over a dollar less than scrap melt value for an Uncirculated 1964 Kennedy. He began the old they made millions, blah, blah. All coins were made in millions. But he said he would not even sell any Kennedy coin they were all worthless!!! ( NOW Im talking the pre 1965...the 90% silver ones....I know dang well he is not gonna scap melt any Uncirculated 1964 Kennedy Half. I know coin value, and I know they gotta make money, but an Uncirculated 1964 would go in his case for sale and for no less than $25-$30 cause APMEX says they go up to $50 at auction. So half of auction price is a price that he could sell it at fairly easy. And I was offered less than scrap. And he was very rude other times I talked to him, not just ludicrous. So I ask him when he said all Silver Kennedy coins were worthless if I could come in and buy a bucket of them for a dollar more than he offered me actual scape melt value $6.03 which Im sure is up now cause silver is back above $17/ounce now. And of course he was stumbled on that question cause I know he has regular circulated silver half dollars in his display. And they are not in scrap for melt. Its a coin collector shop. And quite a few people would like to have a Philadelphia mint 1964 Uncirculated KENNEDY HALF!! I know coin collectors cause I am one myself. But I wont be shopping at Plaza Coins, for sure.

Never going back, they offered me a fraction of what my gold and silver coins were worth. I ended up going to four different places and wound up getting three times more than what Plaza offered.

The most horrible coin store I have ever been in and rude as hell I bought a 1928 5 dollar bill for 10 bucks a week ago go back in to sale it back then he says Im not buying them they dont sale and I bluntly asked before I bought it if they would buy it back and the answer was yes I do not recommend buying anything from them go across the street there alot nicer and more help full the old timers need to put it down and close shop if they cant afford to be in business and keep there word they suck.
