I kept it as simple as possible and got grilled chicken and French fries. Chicken was very dry, and the fries undercooked. I thought you couldn’t go wrong, but I’d tread carefully. My family got something a bit more complex— eggs Benedict with sweet potato fries. The Hollandaise sauce was enjoyable.Coffee isn’t very good.Nevertheless, calm atmosphere, nice lighting and quick service. Definitely was expecting more.

Who would have thought that amidst the cornucopia of chic, trendy and sometimes pretentious offerings that is the Greenwich food scene one could find an honest to goodness diner serving good food at reasonable (for Greenwich) prices? They cover the basics (eggs, hamburgers and sandwiches) with aplomb and do a respectable job when stretching the offerings to include the likes of grilled salmon. Michelin wont be calling any time soon but hey, what you expect from a good diner is fresh food, professionally prepared thats delivered to your table quickly. The wait staff seems to be required to cover more territory than should be reasonably expected but they remain friendly and professional.Theres a good diner in Greenwich thats worth your attention. Strange but true.

Super polite, great service. Food was very hot and fresh. Only detraction was the price. $15 for breakfast plate before coffee and no toast is a bit much.... But it is Greenwich and Im sure they have to pay salary, rent and taxes. Have been here several times before and would have given the same review each time. Good food.

Stopped by for the first time and ordered a cup of coffee. The breakfast selection was quite extensive as in any other diner but then I noticed the “French Toast with Fresh Fruit.”Not so typical when the norm is just a breakfast dish with a “fruit” or “fruit flavored” syrup. The sides of home fries and sausages were ordered separately. The picture attached is just how it was right before I dove in.The fruit was fresh and a touch of maple syrup was just what I needed to just sweeten everything to get me ready for the day.The location does have parking but it’s limited as per the parking sharing spots with local businesses. There is street parking but you need to pay for it.The seating is comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the meal I had was delicious, the prices are fair and being that I was there for breakfast, the service was fast.I’m looking forward to heading back so I can try some lunch and dinner options. So being that the fruit wasn’t soggy, the French Toast was delicious and the coffee was nice and warm.. I stand with my 5 star rating. If you stop by, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Typical diner food, price is high, I guess its Greenwich. Big portions... My brother in-law wanted to order one piece of pancake on top of his egg breakfast meal, he asked how much would it cost? The waiter said no idea and didnt offer to find out. My brother in-law ordered it anyway. It came out around 1/2 of the price of the regular pancake dish for that one piece(we know the price, my daughter ordered that).

I was visiting from Manhattan and didnt want to spend $50 on lunch at your typical Greenwich Street cafe. First: the food is absolutely fantastic! I still remember the taste of even the pickle that came with my cheeseburger. Needless to say, the burger was more than satisfactory. The staff were lovely. Helpful and friendly. All this at pricing which is a bit hard to believe on Greenwich Street. I paid $15 w/tip for a delicious, filling lunch. I now have my Go-To place in Greenwich!

I had a wonderful experience at this particular diner mainly because they did not forcibly put a straw in my beverage. This is something that drives me absolutely crazy at plenty of other diners, I have reached the point of refusing to come back to places that do this again and again especially after I politely tell them that I cannot have a plastic straw but they put it in the beverage anyway like it is no big deal.. But aside from the fact that they give the patrons the straws wrapped so they could hand them back and actually listen, I enjoyed all of the food that was served especially the fancy cappuccino prepared with artistry and care. The female server listened to my request of putting the salad dressing for the delicious, Maryland Crab Salad on the salad instead of that plastic container that most diners choose to use these days. Due to a form of OCD I have a terrible fear of unnecessary waste as well as products that may not be recyclable. I do not have the right to impose my view on other people if they want to make certain choices, but I have the right to not be forced into making choices that make the environmental crisis worse. It meant a lot that this diner took my requests seriously. I live over an hour out of town and if I am ever in the community again I will definitely come back to this diner. My server was someone named, Tina and she was very kind and beautiful. People should go to a diner to be respected and feel special in addition to enjoying decent food, which was the case here at the Glory Days Diner every shape and form. I also have a huge phobia of flies around my food more than the average person. No matter how clean a diner is, this is always going to be a problem. But unlike other places, only two buzzed near my plate, and it was not enough to ruin my lunch. Furthermore, I was able to kill one of them. Victory is mine!! I decided to take a photo of the Maryland Crab Salad dish and cappuccino midway into consuming the salad. It was on the expensive side, but well worth the cost.

Ordered 1 pancake with banana + strawberries - paid strawberries were missing, and another waffle with strawberries for pick up.Food was great until we noticed some foreign pieces baked inside the waffle when biting on it.Thought it was overfried pieces of dough at first, but it seems to be either plastic or glue? as it doesnt dissolve in water either and is very hard and cannot be cut with a knife. There were multiple large pieces of those baked into the food. Not only is it disgusting, but also dangerous as we could have choked on that. Will be trying to get my money back through credit card company.Stay far away!!

Connecticut being what it is with traffic on Rte 95 I am often looking for some place, preferably a diner in order to calm my nerves and of course fill my stomach with something comforting and delicious. Glory Days Diner checked the boxes for me. It was an easy on and off of 95 and provided a plethora of food options with one that stuck out for me being the poutine. It came in a skillet and the fries were extra crispy with flavorful gravy and salty good cheese. It really hit the spot and only disappointment was that they didnt play Springsteens Glory Days. Love that it is open late as well, a good pit stop.

As far as diner places go, this place is par for the course. The portion sizes are big, so you can easily split a meal between 2 people. The kitchen is really generous with adding oil and butter to your meal. The bacon comes out extra fatty - not as crispy as it could be.If you’re really hungry, and don’t want to worry, order a simple entree from them. But hey, at least the coffee, potatoes and service are good.

If you happen to be out in this area you definitely need to stop by this family owned diner. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, good or bad, but the service is so fantastic to not. I came here with my mother-in-law at about 5pm. The food was shockingly amazing for a diner and exceeded both of our expectations. The waiter was attentive unfortunately I did not get his name. Boris is the manager and he is excellent. He was incredibly helpful answering any questions we had about the dishes and giving us great recommendations. We told him it was our first time there and it felt as though he went above and beyond for us to ensure we had a superb experience. Definitely worth going out of the way to visit.

Not a very welcoming entry. From parking lot you walk up ramp to door. When you get all the way up to the door you then see a small sign that says wheelchair entry only. And the door is locked. Why was no sign at bottom of ramp? So walked all the way down. Then had to wait for cars entering long driveway because theres no sidewalk. Then when able to walk down drive way cars still trying to enter had to wait in street blocking traffic. Once inside the host escorted me to a booth. Now, you would think a host who seats like at least 100 people a day would realize that a person of my girth would NEVER fit in that booth. But, he embarrassingly left me standing there. And, when I went back to him to request a table he acted like I was bothering him! What a welcome to their restaurant. The food was just OK. Service from waiter excellent. Might go again.

Our group of four - after a long day of driving in the rain, was more than hungry. I ordered the oven roasted turkey dinner, which came smothered in delicious gravy, apple herb stuffing, thick mashed potatoes, and huge grilled vegetables. This is not the diner for vegetables from a can, nor a place for instant anything. My friend had the meatloaf, which came with mashed potatoes, topped with fried onions and grilled vegetables. Another had the fried chicken platter, which looked like something that I could get back down in the south when I lived there. After I downed my cranberry dressing (which I dont even like cranberries), we all got our deserts to go.How I miss down-to-earth cooking with friendly service!
