They are professional in everything they do. I had bought some night vision duals and the process of paying them off and getting them shipped to my house was amazing. They worked with me in every way possible to get me what I wanted and I am very happy with what I got.

Best gun shop around in my experience (including Jefferson gun outlet). Very knowledgeable and helpful. They don’t pressure you just so they can make a sale, and seem to like what they do. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase a new toy.

Parking was atrocious, but well worth the visit. There is a buzzer for admittance to the establishment which shows the care of security. They even allowed me to buy the shotgun I wanted and store it there for a week so I can situate my situation as I live in a (gated community) and have to have it registered during business hours. They were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. Even took the time for us to look at some guns for my son (age 6) even after I notified them I wouldnt be buying it. They preached gun safety and even let me teach my son some lessons of gun safety. As we browsed, they had much more than expected like older military gear issue items. They had the process down to where I would have only been maybe 20 minutes or so, but the browsing was fun.

I was very satisfied with how Gretna helped me out with a purchase over the phone as I live in FL and am not local to them. I have a good time every time I go. Good gunsmith and knowledgeable staff. They have a decent selection of suppressors and I have seen some of the cool things that you usually only see online in their gun counter. Good shop!

This place is a great place to go and shoot. It is most likely the best kept secret in NOLA as far as shooting ranges. You will need to be a member (which is a yearly fee) but you will most likely always get a lane to shoot. The staff is very professional and extremely friendly.

Be aware theyre site says closes at 1700hrs but during the Covid situation theyre closing at 1600

I dont buy all of my guns here but I have bought a few. Great staff, great range, Great selection .they have firearms in stock that you will not find at Academy or other places like that. But with that said you will be paying a slightly higher price. I do go here often and I will continue.

I like this Gun shop. Theres an indoor range in the bottom of the store. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Very willing and capable staff. Able to answer most questions on the spot. Not as big as before Katrina or new owners, very limited on reloading equipment.

Im not quite the type to want to OWN a gun, but that definitely doesnt exclude me from the group of humans that loves to SHOOT them. I come to Gretna all the time, probably at least once per week, and do some target practice. What a way to unwind, right?!

I’m told that they’re one of the oldest gun shops around. They’re prices on ammunition are a bit high ($10+>) and Magpul magazines are a couple dollars above average even direct from Magpul. They have an indoor range but I didn’t partake. Customer service was good. I don’t know the neighborhood but you have to be buzzed in & out.

Had my gun for months and when I got it back still didn’t work. They let me shoot it before leaving and the thing did exactly like it did when I bought it in. Would not do business again

I sent my wife there to get a part for my gun today. The young man behind the counter was a condescending prick. He was extremely rude and couldnt answer any of her questions without rolling his eyes. When she asked how long it would take, he said I dont know, when asked how much, I dont know! Well if you dont know you shouldnt be working there! Its unfortunate because I assured her that they were new owners with good reviews. I was horribly wrong. I will never do business with Gretna Gun Works and I will never refer anyone either.

Today was my first time going there and i love it they really have a good team at gretna gun works i went to the range and shot 50 rounds with my new xd 40 mod 2 i know next time when i buy a new gun would be from them nice prices on all the guns they have
