THE RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I met with Kimberly the evening before to make a reservation and to be sure I chose the right size trailer for my needs. She was very nice and very helpful. I left with a copy of my reservation that clearly had the cost of the rental on it. All I had to do they next morning was show my ID and pay the quoted rental fee. When I arrived the next morning Dominique now tells me then rental was $40 more than the quoted price. I tried to show her my paperwork with the price quoted less than 12 hrs before she very rudely said I dont need to be see that Im looking at my computer. When will companies learn that good customer service goes a long way
Immediate, friendly, and courteous service. Truck Was Awesome!!! I rented a pickup with 8 bed, worked perfectly for the 2 layers of boxes and plastic bins that I needed to move. Will be a return customer in the future!

Employees hit my vehicle that was parked in the lot. No signs saying not to park there. I have thousands of dollars in damage. Shady employees lied and covered up for each other. I was met with nothing but rudeness and lies. I’ll never use Uhaul again. They don’t deserve even the one star.
They delivered a poor customer service experience here. Completely disrespectful.U haul had problems with their platform for taking payments and they just decided to kept my u boxes and didn’t respect the times and my personal property. Instead of me being the upset person, one of their representative just told me to not call back because they won’t do anything. If something would change they would let me know.I slept on the floor because of them. Having the money, the time and the good weather couldn’t get my things back. For them it’s money and their convenience before customers.After they made that decision of keeping the boxes a storm was coming and had to wait 3 extra days because the movers couldn’t work under the bad weather.

Due to traffic I was a few minutes behind which caused them to but a $200 hold on my card. The gentleman told me itd be released as soon as the truck is returned, Lie 3-5 business days. Even though my original reservation quoted me $65 after their ridiculously unnecessary hold it cost $315.56 to pick my truck up after deposit & feesTheir debit card keypad doesnt work, so they have to print everything which takes longer, I suggest being there at least 30 minutes early, more likely 45 minutes for covid restrictions in order to avoid it cutting into your rental time.I also suggest a morning pick up, I rented 2-8 however its not drop the truck off by 8 its complete the return process before 8 which involves cleaning & taking multiple pictures so get there by 7:30-7:40 since the process takes about 15 minutes.So even though my alloted time was 6 hours I only received 4.5 hours of use.I suggest using any other company, or a morning pick up, but remember to be there about 45 minutes before your pick up time.
I have rented thousands of dollars worth of equipment from u haul normally I am impressed with the customer service and very happy, but this is by far the worst u haul location i have ever dealt with and I would never recommend it to anyone. The staff is extremely rude and not helpful at all. Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles to go someplace else.

THE REP WAS ABLE TO FIND AND PUT ME IN A BIGGER TRUCK AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. SHE ALSO WAIVED THE 15 MINUTE CANCELLATION AFTER NO PICKUP (BECAUSE I WAS LATE). I SUGGEST FOR ONE WAY MOVING (STATE TO STATE) ORDER OVER THE PHONE VIA THE 1800 NUMBER AND PICK UP IN STORE SMOOTH PROCESS.

Proceeded to tell me they couldnt fill a empty propane tank because it was lying horizontally in my truck bed. It a forklift propane tank. Its designed to run horizontally!!! Proper dates on tank, new tank actually, rude customer service. Actually asked me if i wanted to read the u-haul manuel on the matter. Are you serious?!
In July 2020 I rented a Uhaul from the 4 Westbank expressway in New Orleans Louisiana from V.j. Mackey. It started off bad because we were Forced from the pandemic going on to wait outside and not into the store which is fine the problem lied we were not offered a tent to stand under a bottle of cold water or anything. I was offered no instruction how to mount my car on to the tow dolly I was given no instructions on the truck we had rented. I didn’t even know that the brake light didn’t work until I was pulled over in Tennessee luckily I was only given a warning and another car didn’t crash into me possibly killing my family or another. At one point I had missed placed the keys to the truck while packing and frantic about trying to move during a global pandemic and I was screamed at by U-Haul‘s employees that I was responsible for changing their ignition on their vehicle because they didn’t have an extra key. A lady named Kim did nothing but scream and make me even more upset during a stressful situation. I tried to call a locksmith and they said they absolutely would not change and invest ignition on a vehicle that I did not earn it was owned by U-Haul therefore they cannot change ignition and give me the key would be equivalent to me stealing their vehicle if I didn’t return it and he could not be held responsible for that but it was a U-Haul‘s responsibility to either send out roadside assistance to change that ignition or have a key handy for a replacement. After I returned all of their equipment in Baltimore Maryland the lady on the Bel Air Rd. location that I returned it to was a palled that it was ever rented in that condition she said she would’ve never rented a tow dolly that was meant to pull the car in that condition. I have spoken with U-Haul now on five different occasions how do you spoken with Crystal I have spoken with a Dawn how do you spoken with a Daniel I have left several messages for V.j. Mackel at the West Bank location. I asked for a refund of at least half of my money to cover the extra hotel room I had to get because my trip was delayed because of their incompetent equipment.So far I got a $75 refund out of the $1244 I spent to rent this equipment and not even as much as an apology from you V.j. Mackel. I feel like I should get a half of my money back for the way I was treated and at this point I feel like I should get all of it back from the trouble I’ve had just try to communicate problems in the photo equipment at U-Haul I only pray that nobody else gets that equipment before they fix it properly.My reference number where I can be reached though is #2752435

If I could give them zero stars I would give them 5 zero stars. walked in Ignored for five minutes when they finally got around to me (the only customer in the building) I said a fill up on a propane tank It was from sun belt rental AmeriGas on the side of the tank brand new they did not have a date on the bottle they refused to fill it. So much for trying to finish a shut down job at a huge museum across the river. these people have no sense. vj “manager” if he worked for my business ... well he wouldn’t be allowed Morons !

An employee scraped the front of my vehicle with a truck and refuses to acknowledge any fault. The corporate office also refuses to cover the cost of repairs. Don’t come anywhere near this place. In addition, these folks are rude and incompetent, not worth whatever U-haul is paying them. I’ll never use this company ever again. You shouldn’t either.
This location is pure garbage. The manager is a money hungry clown who will nitpick everything about a vehicle upon its return. I was charged $150 for a scratch that was so small it was hard to take a photo of. Not only that but the scratch appeared to have just been freshly done with a key during his inspection. The manager then tried to charge me for gas when the needle was only riding the line of where it was when I made the pick up. Because it had rained there was a small amount of mud in the truck so the clown a$$ manager tried to charge me $25 for detailing as well. He will try to milk every dollar he can from the customer. I advise to stay away & choose another location or rental dealer because the headache only gets even worse when trying to deal with Uhaul customer service because of the lies told by the manager. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible customer service. The manager VJ does not care about the safety of his customers. Truck had a flat when I got it. I didn’t notice until it was loaded. I immediately unloaded and brought it back and was told that I had to call roadside. Told me I was going to be charged either way and refused to give me another truck. On top of that uhauls moving help didn’t show. He could care less about any of that. treated me like my dad did when I scratched his car when I was 16. Totally unprofessional. He was looking for a fight and seemed to enjoy disrespecting me. I called customer service and they told me they would have a manager call me back within 2 days. No one ever called. Classic example of a company being too big to care about treating people like people- not a $.
Told to park in handicap parking spot by General Manager when there were 15 open spots on the other side of the isle. Then was told that they would to sell me anything because I parked in one of those empty spots that had no indication of being special or for special people or equipment. But, got yelled at by employee while General Manager watched and he just smiled. His little kingdom on a power trip. Thou shall not park in these empty spots but park illegally in the handicapped spot.

We always come to this location to get our tank refilled. The same tank they filled last time, we brought again to get it filled and they said they wont fill it because they had a rust spot. The rust spot is small and at the bottom of the ring! It was there the last time they filled it! Will not be going back there!

We were told by clerk to return fuel to 3/4 of a tank. At return they said it should have been 15/16 and charge us 4.00 dollars per gallon. Budget rental from new on

If you wanna get pissed, this is the place ! Headed there for filling propane, stopped at the spot and rang the bell. Three times. Waitedfor over 20 minutes. Nothing happened. Went inside, no one there, besides two customers. Waited more 15 min outisde, rang again the bell.Went inside again. Then a employee was there. Talked to her and explained i was waiting outside, checked inside. She started to argue likei was wrong !!?? After that i waited more 10 minutes to be attended. Never been so insulted before.
This place lacks customer service and road safety. Please be very careful renting from Uhaul because the employees are not trustworthy. Inspect and video all trucks you rent as they will falsify damages to the truck and authorise transactions as they take the cash for it. These locations do not drug test any employees so anything goes! Be warned.

I wish there was a way for me to give no star. Reserved a truck a week and a half ago for Saturday. Got a call Thursday to confirm my rental. Show up to pick up the truck and get told there is no truck. On the day that I must move! There were three trucks just like the one I reserved sitting in the parking lot. I was told they were dispatched out for 7am. It was 9am. Disgusted beyond belief with their business practices but what made it much worse was the attitude received from the employee behind the counter. We were treated like we did something wrong and they didnt want to hear any grief. They were rude and condescending to both my wife and I and their customer service reps couldnt care less. Penske truck rental in Harahan was a life saver and come to find out,cheaper. If you need to move stay away from uhaul in Gretna!

Reserved a motorcycle trailer, got an RT instead. Uhaul customer service was no assistance whatsoever. It was definitely an oversight on reservations and not on this particular location, but the point stands that I will not be using uhaul again in the future.
Had a unauthorized transaction made by them. Never received a notice or receipt in regards to the money that was taken out of my account without my permission for an account that has never had auto-pay!! Still waiting to hear from the general manager
Rented a uhal to move local and I was so upset with the service not from the place I picked up but uhaul itself. They overbooked that location so bad a lot of customers left.

The worst service for propane service! No hello, with his headphones on, tells me he cant fill the propane tank because he cant see the year. My RV is a 2018 and the dates are on the connecting cables but never wanted and left without saying anything. Really the first time this has happened to us. You should really see the service.
