If your looking to save a penny on groceries go here clean store nice staff they sell almost everything and also bags of ice you can save alot lol only down side is you have to either bring your own bags or pay for theirs in store which are 10 cents a bag

It was a pleasant shopping experience they were well stocked on meats and produce the workers and even the people in the store were all very friendly it was my first time going there since I have recently moved here to Gulfport but I will be going back there again

Cheapest place for steak in Gulfport. Almost half off what all the other stores have it listed for.

Not sure whats going on here but not the same store anymore. Prices are much higher and many of the nice employees are gone.

I love to shop here. The prices are affordable in spite of the pandemic, their reduced produce are great too. I always manage to save at this store.

Always have what I need

Save a lot is located on the corner of 28th st. And pass road. Parking lot is not very well kept. Store is not very well organized and does not have a good variety of foods. The store saves a lot by letting customers bag their own groceries and purchasing bags to place their items in. I do no recommend shopping here.

There was a few Items I was interested in cheaper than other places.

One cashier with a long line, manager just goes to the little room!

It was very clean it was very fresh the employees were wonderful they had a large selection. It was well worth the stop at the store.

Literally the only grocery store In close walking distance to where I live. Since i don’t drive. But it seems those who work there are a bit on the lazy side when it comes to doing their jobs. Always one cashier open. Carts are never placed where they should be. I’m already doing part of their job by bagging up my own groceries like it’s a self check out. Store most of the time barely has much in it. Not much of variety either. But as I stated earlier it’s the only grocery store close to my home in walking distance. So you grin and bear it. Other than that. It’s friendly.

This store has the rudest manager Ive ever been to you dont have to be rude to your customers

I get these stores exist and sell at a low cost at the sake of often times lower quality products. As a private chef starting a business and doing my everything into my business this is where I went to stock my personal cupboards. The canned vegetables, spices exist so I was able to make something from them, basic staples, I was able to make them work; however their meat was questionable. With a full understanding of the different grades of cuts (prime, choice, select) I simply could not even place my Ribeyes into any category. Literally, meat under any circumstances should all cook the same way, to the point I questioned if this was real meat. The maillard effect is science, unable to be disproven, but it was one that I could not achieve with whatever my ribeyes, or any steak I bought that day, without purposely burning it for a mock effect. In my 25 years of cooking, I have never produced something I wouldnt eat....until my trip to a Save A Lot; thanks a lot.

Great prices, but a limited selection of items. It was convenient, being walking distance from my daughters home. The store was clean and well organized. The cashiers were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. They did have some fresh baked chocolate chunk cookies that were soft and delicious. Meat selection was good for this type of store, but frozen foods and ice cream selections were limited. The only hassle was having to move your groceries over to the bagging area, where you had to bag them yourself.

I enjoy shopping here,they might have alot of off brands and store brands but most of them are much better than the name brand products that cost $$ just because of the name.Great for frozen and canned foods.Still about the same price on there meat counter as everyone else. I will go back !

This is a great place to shop on a budget. They also have great selection. Friendly staff. Few registers open so dont have long lines. I will definitely be back, glad i was told about this place.

My wife hates save a lot but, I love it here. Super cheap prices you really can’t beat. With decent quality just remember to bring your own bags.

Save-A-Lot man they got some good situations and some low prices we stocked up we went in there with $200 a week came out feeling like a multimillion-dollar winner that awesome Meats everything you need is there low prices everything tastes good so Im shopping at Save-A-Lot wont regret it

Workers are nice. Store is clean. Always good variety and prices, produce was not so fresh but had good quality meats and frozen foods. Store hours are very accommodating . Fast checkouts . Getting in and out of parking area was easy.

The prices here are decent but the staff is not. The store itself is fine but the workers could not possibly care less about their customers. When they ring you up, they pay no attention to you. They dont ask how you are or how your visit was, they just absent mindedly swipe your items and talk and laugh with the other workers. Seems very rude to me. Other than that, the place is alright.

Everyone at this store has been friendly and helpful for years that Ive been going there. Theres always that new array of things on sale, lawn and garden, Linens, Electronics, and groceries. Great place to shop with good prices especially for toiletries and paper towels! I recommend this store.

Low prices, conveniently located off of pass rd, and easy to see. I give the staff 4 out of 10 in helpfulness. The store is pretty well organized most things are easy to locate.

It had all the basics. There were a couple items I would have liked that they didnt have but seriously, theyre a local grocery store not one of the Gucci super stores with fancy products we cant pronounce.

They are not accepting cash unless exact change.

1st of all THEYVE STARTED CHARGING FOR BAGS, like how tight could your budget get. 2nd they try to b like a mini sack-N-save not paying attention to what sent them out of business... I honestly dont see them being in business too much longer so enjoy your savings while its still here.. Go somewhere where I can have A REAL GROCERY STORE EXPERIENCE... I WILL NOT be going back in that store not even for a piece of gum.

Save-a-lot isnt as cost effective as it may attempt to identify with its namesake. Very limited on product and hard to find what is on your shopping list, even for the regular customer. Sometimes a good deal on steaks, but usually not very much product to satisfy the shoppers.

Good prices.. on brands that you may not have heard of.. just have to find the things you like.. most things are good as any other brands.. can be low on stock.. can be very busy at certain times... overall a ok small grocery store.

I dont really like this store, prices are higher than other stores such as bread. Sometimes only one cashier and long lines. You also have to sack your own groceries. After checking out your goods they put them back into your buggy and you have to role it to a bagging station. It slows your time when you are in a hurry. The meat department isnt that good either.

Best place for cheap groceries. Bag them yourself. Clean store. Not the best produce or meat, although broccoli and cauliflower are routinely on sale for 1.50$ a head. Generic brand dairy and frozen and boxed products taste like expensive brands, very worth it.

Not unpleasant but nothing special. Very few people in the store when I was there. The man who checked me out was very pleasant.

I come here a lot bc it is near by... Only flaw is the registers are usually vacant while one is in use... . Not many brands but I enjoy coming in seeing the sales and great deals

Limited amount of choices. Off brand foods. Name brands are expensive. Didnt buy anything, but a can of Bushs beans cost $2.29. Same thing at Dollar General is, $1.79. Have to watch expiration dates as well as prices.

Great place to shop the store isnt as big as the other grocery stores in the area but you will be able to find what you need. The employees and mangement are very friendly and If you are looking for a certain item and you cant find it most store tells you the isle it should be on are is on but at Savalot the employees are mangement will assist you with finding whatever you are looking by taking you to the isle where the item is on that you are looking for.

Pretty well stocked, even considering it was a major Holiday weekend, and we found everything we needed, and was able to check out fairly quickly.
