The store is never open, went by what the hours on the sign said. But it was never open, I stopped 3 times the same day. With zero luck.

This joint has a good variety of baked goods at the bakery, and sandwiches at the café part, staff are helpful and the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Great place for authentic Brazilian food. They have a huge variety of snacks: pão de queijo, esfiha and coxinha to name a few. The owners are very professional. Highly recommend.

My food group recently planned an excursion to the Waukegan-Gurnee area, and our search for interesting, off-the-beaten-path places yielded the Authentic Cheese Bread Company. This place is a real treasure: there were all sorts of savory and sweet treats for purchase over the counter, and there were many more items for sale in the freezer and along various tables and counters. In addition to Brazils celebrated cheese bread (pão de queijo), there were chicken croquettes, traditional honey bread (pão de mel), coconut candy, the drink Guaraná Antarctica, and many other housemade and imported specialties. In addition, the proprietor is a really sweet man who is working hard to maintain this incredible business. The space is small, and food is carry-out anyhow, but this place is highly recommended.

This was my first time coming at The Authentic Cheese Bread, I loved everything I had and is safe to say I already consider myself a regular.
