Convenient location and good pizza. They will make a pizza to order, and you can use a touch screen menu to order a custom pizza. Coffee bar has at least somewhat fresh coffee at any time of day. They have a beer cave full of water and pop—I don’t recall if they have beer elsewhere. The indoor decor is outdated but it is not cluttered. There is a small eating area near the front window so you don’t have to eat in your car. This is a popular place as demonstrated by difficulty in finding an open pump or parking space, and there is always a line at the registers. Some cashiers are friendly and some are not. Don’t forget there are more pumps and parking spaces directly behind the building.

Id give a higher rating, but it seems like every time I go in they are out of quarts of milk. Shame their regulars cant come in and get what theyre looking for.

Speedway stations are my favorite. Always consistent.

When I walked in, I felt I am not welcomed. There was no customer and I felt I interrupted her time resting. She didnt talk even even how much total came out until I was looking at her waiting for total. On top of all these, she didnt wear the mask on me. Ive never seen the place cashier didnt wear the mask while the sign said all the customer have to wear the mask.I asked to her she didnt wear the mask on me and replied yah~ and kept not wearing.

Stopped in to gas and a pizza. Jen working in the speedy cafe was very rude and dismissive.

As the other customer noted, staff members are refusing to weartheir masks properly. This creates a safety issue for customers.The corporate office should handle this.

I had good opinion about this station, but lately two times at night in one week span I was trying take diesel for my Jeep and two there werent any sign that is problem with that fuel but were nothing comming from the nozle after setup payment. I had to walk each time inside for nothing and go somewhere else take the fuel. I will try agan I will see how will change my rating

Always open, great neighborhood gas station with reasonable price. They also have food and my Juul Pods!

Easy in and out, usually the best prices in the area. Inside is clean, inventory is good and the staff is awesome. I dont generally have loyalty to a gas station but this one is it for me.

Awesome place specially Adam the guy at the register, our car broke down in front of the gas station which is the hotel Super 8 they didn’t let us stay because we weren’t pay for a room even the manager denied us to park there because we weren’t paying for a room but as soon as we parked in Speedway and spoke to Adam he let us park our truck there without a doubt thank you Adam for being so polite and to the store for teach your employees the right way to handle problems. I wish i can give a 6 stars if i could

Can not believe they do no enforce masks! Not only for employers ( who wear them under their nose or not at all) the customers literally 90% are not wearing masks! It’s horrible how during a pandemic they risks other lives! NO MASK NO SERVICE! Just a shame!

Very inconsistent service. Sometimes its great, sometimes you wait 10 minutes for a cashier. The payment system goes down with regularity too and I dont have 15 minutes to wait for the cashier to figure it out.

Monday at 12:05am one lady working that night and i was going inside with my wife to by cigarette. 1st time I don’t have id with me so i go back to my motal and bringing id with me then i show that lady she is asked id to my wife ! I told her she don’t want cigarette i want cigarette why you asking her id (THAT LADY WAS STUPID SHE DON’T KNOW WHAT IS THE LOW TO SELL CIGARETTE ) SHE DON’T HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT CIGARETTE SELLING LOW.... She is stupid

Im excited to try all the new items in the cafe. Third shift at this store is awesome. Nick, Marcus, Ricky, & Eric are all amazing. I go out of my way to come to this location because they are super friendly & cheaper gas than by my house.

This is a great new gas station and as they have added a Cafe to the store its new and great the food is so great to eat and its like restaurant food and they have plenty of space to sit and wait and eat your meal in the Store is kept really clean and with it being new its already updated with new products and technology.

Never in my life have I walked into an establishment and a manager went from employee to employee making jokes about a customer. I believe the managers name was Evan. I’m not sure what the management training is but I’m sure that isn’t an acceptable behavior. What type of leadership quality is that? Is this he trains is subordinates to behave. He went to one girl and she knew I knew what was going on because we caught eyes as soon as she looked directly at me while he was talking to her. I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. Evan, making fun of overweight customers is a horrible think to do as a person but even worst to do as someone in leadership that suppose to set an example for others. I hope Speedway re-evaluates if your ready for management.

Im a fan of their large selection on fountain drinks and frozen drinks. Prices arent bad, I think the 52 ounce super size is $1.49, which beats the 7-Elevens in the city but compares well to Circle K and Kwik Trips in Wisconsin. I choose Speedway over 7-Eleven any day. Too bad that there arent any downtown. Quite possibly my favorite convenience store location, and Ive visited a lot of convenience store locations and chains across Chicagoland and the United States.

The cashier tonight wasnt wearing a mask over her nose and mouth, she was wearing it over her chin. That is unacceptable. That is a threat to public health.

Think twice before you judge we went to the speedway we go to the speedway always I have nothing against the store but I have something to guess the employees implying that I came to steal my son ran ahead of me and went and got something to drink taking his phone in there and left it there and a lady decides to ask someone else that he was the only one by the drink station someone else who wasnt black if it was their fault theyre like no and then I asked my son wheres your black Samsung Galaxy phone and she stuck it in her pocket quickly and disappeared halfway down the street my son said Mom I thought you said you were going to look for my phone I said you didnt say nothing when we came back to the car I saw my phones was here and I went back to the store and the lady was trying to say to me and acting all stupid about it she didnt ask us and she heard me ask my son where was the phone and she told me well how would you like for someone to take something that didnt belong to you implying that I was trying to steal someone elses phone that I couldnt I wasnt good enough to have a phone a Samsung phone even though I told her how was I going to see that all the way from where she was standing was far away I was paying and she was standing far away asking someone else and I heard her over her so shes like unlock it Im like its my sons birthday.She still didnt believe it but Im here to tell you you need to stop judging thinking and I come from Waukegan or Gurnee Ill come from either and Im a Christian and we just came from church so I hope they see this and think twice before accusing people of stealing.#speedway #gurnee

Not a bad store, and the fuel prices are among the lowest in the area but... each fuel pump has a t.v. on top of it for annoying and LOUD ads that cannot be muted.I will take my business elsewhere. Im so sick of the ads on pumps (that you can usually mute), but these new additions are sickening. You can hear every single t.v. on each pump echoing. These God damn corporations need to cut this out.

Most of the time the cashiers, manager, and cafe workers are really nice. There have been a few times that the customer service is something to be desired here. Otherwise I frequently stop here for gas, drinks, coffee, and maybe a lunch or dinner. Everything always seems to be clean.I used to wonder why there was always such mood swings with the employees until about a month ago I found out why.Long story, but I want to paint a picture.I was sitting at the intersection in front of Speedway (on a Saturday morning) waiting to turn left to go there. There is this nice car in front of me (2 seat convertible) and a couple more cars in front of it. The convertible pulls a U-turn (no big deal) in front of me. When I went to enter the parking lot I saw the same convertible dart across the parking lot and then park on an angle taking up 2 parking spaces in front of the door 1 of them being a handicap (figured it was a restroom emergency). Saw they guy get out of the car wearing khaki shorts and a polyester polo as I was approaching the door and he pushed his way in front of people that were about to open the door and he made no comments, again restroom emergency. When I get inside (10 seconds or less later) I see the same man in the employee area talking and joking with the employees (about 3 or 4). As I was at the cafe I got a closer look and he was wearing a Speedway name tag. I then go to the line to check out and there is about 10 people in line and 1 cashier doing his/her job. While the others are standing there chatting away. He did not even point out that someone needed to take the register as he stood there watching the line get longer and longer (from registers to the doughnut display case).From that experience I understand why the employee(s) might be having a rough time. I do not know if he is the district manager or the store manager. He has no consideration for anyone else other than himself. I can remember working at different places that were customer facing and everyone had to take parking the furthest away, be respectful to customers, and show you appreciate the patrons that come in.
