I ordered a capachino boba with tapioca. It was awful it was very watered down and the tapioca was nasty. Also the woman that made my drink was not wearing gloves and after handling money, I asked if she would let my put the straw in because her hands were not clean. She put the straw in and didnt understand what i said. I would not waist your money here there are plenty of better options around for drinks.

The lady at the counter made my mango milk boba tea in 54 seconds, the fastest service I’ve ever had anywhere that serves gelato or boba tea. She was super nice too, and the checkout only took seconds (this may sound like a given, but you’d be surprised how horrible some companies are with their cash registers). With how the good the service was, I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu!

This place is awesome! Joe is a very nice guy! Everything is very fresh, and he was very generous with samples! You can tell they are proud of their product, and rightfully so! Its a new regular stop for my family and I whenever were in the mall!

Amazing place, great staff. Very clean and always a pleasure to visit. My go to for any milk tea or quality gelato. The nice, old man behind the counter is a genuine delight and makes the stop worthwhile. Give that man a raise!

*** update*** My Family and I went back to Illinois a week ago for Winter break. We went back to the mall and had the boba drink, strawberry flavor. Its different than what Im accustomed to as this one is a smoothie. But it had great strawberry flavor! My picky daughter drank most of it. The same lady was there from last time. She must be the owner or manager? And three others, one in training? They were all helpful and great in suggesting a flavor. The woman suggested Pina colada, which I didnt get, but I will next time!!! Awesome!!! *** I suppose Im really surprised about the negative reviews regarding Gelato Mio in Gurnee Mills. My family and I are from out of town and stopped in early at the mall to get a head start shopping. My kids wanted a snack and we came across this gelato place. There were two people, male and female there and they were super nice! I felt like they were treating us like family -going to grandmas and they are trying to feed you everthing and spoil you kind of treatment. I love that it is so clean, and the designs on the gelato are sooo awesome! The kids had gelato that late morning, we returned later all shopped out. They were busy with other customers and still greated us with such kindness!! Gelato was so awesome too!!! I love that coffee flavor! Thank you for such great service and delicious gelato!
