Staff is awesome. Was in during a table top sale and found complete new settings that were perfect. I had been looking for more than a year without success until going in by chance today.

I gave it three stars for appearance. The shop smells good because of candle fragrance wafting through the air coupled with the smell of new furniture. Its bright, colorful, a delight for the eyes, and totally ignites ones home decor imagination. The furniture looks neat and pretty.THEN you try sitting on the impeccably displayed chairs and couches and you realize you would be more comfortable sitting on a camel wit no saddle. And the price tags! Wow!--Cheaply made uncomfortable, AND exorbitantly priced.When I sat on the first settee in the store, I could feel its wood frame digging into my tailbone where the back rest meets the cushion. The chairs were equally uncomfortable with stiff feeling backs and Ill fitting sizes not suitable for normal adults. All I can tell you is anyone who uses Pier One to decorate a room in their house is really saying to their guests, Hey! Come on in an see how much money I spent on new trendy furniture but I got the uncomfortable stuff from Pier One so you wont hang around long. Kiss-kiss-B-bye now. Their Pink Champaign candles smell great and burn well though, lol...ahem..

Very nice store and displays were beautiful. However, compared to other Pier 1 stores, the staff wasnt as friendly as I would expect considering we were the ONLY people in the place. Seems like highlighting special deals and promotions would be the thing that should be said at the VERY LEAST. We got nothing.

Very nice store and staff. Does not have the oppresive seasonal scent that so many others have. The salesperson was able to expertly help with our selection. Since they didnt have the quantity we wanted in stock, she ordered them for us for delivery to home.

For some reason, the Pier 1 staff thinks they are too good to assist customers. They are borderline rude and act like they are working in a high end store like Saks. Its Hagerstown, people.

Staff was extremely pleasant and the store has some very cool things. But this place is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!!! If you are trying to furnish a house, go to Marshalls, HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, you could get more for less; as opposed to less for more if you shopped here.
