I left a review on the great customer service I received from Nicole on last week in the screws and locks departments. She was very professional and gave above and beyond good customer service. As a pro customer for over 15 years its great to experience good associates like Nicole!

Came in for an extension for a tool. Found it and left. Seems like a decent home depot.

I hit home depot stores quite often for home improvement projects I been doing for my family & myself & this store is like the worst one. To start everything is arrange differently from many of the stores around here. And so far several times coming here I can never find what I am looking for. Several employees seem to want to help after the fact if you know what I mean. Meaning after they dismiss you first & then sort of realize oh maybe they should be nice & do their job.But coming here I see the managers may need to be more on top with their Inventory. Ive had to travel more & head to other stores to get whatever I was looking for. This one too I noticed may not have those specialty items that many of the other stores carry. If you go often you may know what I am referring to. Those items though many times save the day.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT EVEN GO TO THIS STORE, THEY ARE THE MOST UNEDUCATED YOUNG PUNKS WITH ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL EVER COME INTO CONTACT WITH, FROM MANAGEMENT TO FLOOR ASSOCIATES ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE! EITHER SHUT THE STORE DOWN OR HIRE COMPETENT PEOPLE TO RUN THE STORE OR AT LEAST WITH SOME TYPE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT ON HOW TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE, YOU BEEN WARNED DONT EVEN GO THERE, DRIVE TO THE NEXT TOWN BELIEVE ME ITS WORTH THE DRIVE!!!!

My experience at Home Depot was over and beyond any customer service I ever had. There was two gentleman at the front who entrance greeted me. There was one gentleman who assisted me. He was in a wheel chair and his assistance was so amazing and he deserves to be a promoted just base on his knowledge and patience. Hes an excellent worker.

The store is not too bad, but I am going to stop shopping there. Twice now they have taken my cart away. Once when it was about ten feet away and I had my back to it while looking at screws. It was full of stuff, and had my large wide brimmed hat on top. They couldnt find the cart and I had to make a second trip to retrieve my hat. Today I took some lumber to the sawing station and then looked in the adjacent isle to find someone to cut it for me. No one around, but when I came back the cart with my selected lumber was gone. I left, will buy lumber somewhere else.

The customer service here is an absolute joke. We had the misfortune of coming here because the picnic table we wanted to buy was supposedly in stock (more on this below). Literally every single associate we went to were completely useless. I am not exaggerating when I say they gave us the cold shoulder. We asked if they can help us locate the item, they would either look down or just walk away somewhere else. They couldn’t even bother to help us in the least bit, one girl giving my girlfriend a complete attitude as if we weren’t even allowed to seek help.More on the picnic table: online said Hamden had 12 in stock. Not 1, not limited, TWELVE. After we were fed up by the complete disrespect by every single associate we had encountered, we left the store and decided to do curbside pickup because again, everyone was useless. 10 minutes later I get a text saying my order was cancelled because it was out of stock. How. Do. You. Mess. That. Up? The store needs to completely clean house of every lazy associate that’s employed there.After we were fed up with our experience, we went to our usual store in North Haven and the service was night and day. One of the customer service ladies was on the phone for 20 minutes with another store trying to make sure the picnic table we were looking for was in stock. The Hamden associates really need to learn from other stores on how to better take care of their customers. This experience was absolutely inexcusable and you best believe I will be sending this feedback to corporate.

Our cashier Olivia was awesome. She went above and beyond finding a product. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I usually go to the North Haven Home Depot, but today I went to the Hamden location because the item I wanted to buy was out of stock in North Haven, but said it was in stock at Hamden. I got to the store and asked 4 different staff members and none of them even bothered to help, some were even avoiding me when i tried to ask them for help. I don’t expect them to know where every single item is located, but the least they can do was try and help me. The online link didn’t even show me what aisle the item was located and I spent almost an hour looking around the store until I finally decided to order online and pick up curbside. A few minutes later they canceled my order saying it was out of stock. Their customer service is poor to say the least and whoever does their stock updates is even worse. Avoid if you can, there are plenty of other home depot stores to choose from around the area. And to all the young staff members who were standing around, chit chatting amongst themselves while trying to avoid answering my questions: stop wasting the company’s money and go find another job.

Dont waste your time. Ive been to this store plenty of times since being a new home owner in Hamden. Most of the time employees are nowhere to be found to ask for help. And whenever you do find one, chances are they dont know the location of what youre looking for, or theyll send you to someone else who doesnt know. So, majority of my trips there are wasted. So much for customer service. By the way, you could use the app only if your phone has sufficient signal. I think Ill stick to online shopping on Amazon. Much easier.

I got everything I needed with the aid of helpful staff.

I’ve always liked Home Depot in general, but the Hamden Home Depot was such a disappointing experience especially in the tool rental department. We rented a power washer that was advertised for cleaning a deck. It was worthless with the pencil stream of water and there was no wider spray attachment available. We rented a deck sander that hardly worked at all. The pad that attaches to the velcro wouldn’t stay on and we had to reattach every 2-3 minutes. The velcro was old and needed to be repaired. Furthermore, the sander stopped working and wouldn’t start due to an attachment plug that vibrated apart and was unable to be reattached due to broken plastic. We talked to the manager on the phone who wouldn’t let us get a different one and she wouldn’t pay us back. We returned the machine and the rental employee wouldn’t help us either and charged us $80 to repair the part that we didn’t break. His attitude had an intimidating tone as well.Also, on a different day an employee didn’t know why I needed a red flag to put on the lumber that was overhanging. I trained the employee that customers need red flags if the cargo goes past 4 feet. Never going back to Home Depot in Hamden.

They had what I needed at an affordable price

I waited patiently for 45 minutes for a staff member to come and help me, when I complained the guest liason, shrugged and said she would page someone again. Someone was paged times over the 45 minutes I was there and no one showed up and no one knew why. Everytime I went to this store the employees dont know anything, they arent friendly, and they dont do anything to help. I cant believe this store survives. The manager should be fired for incompetence and the staff for apathy. I will never go back.

ORLANDO IS THE BEST !!!!!! He went beyond what most employees would do for customers... Actually almost everyone there is helpful and so nice :) but my dude ORLANDO (never even met him, all of this was over several phone calls ) lol REALLY LOOKED OUT

This a great Home Depot. I come here when I stay with my girlfriend in Hamden. Great place for a quiet relaxing stroll through the aisles and to use the bathroom. Home Depot has some of the nicest bathrooms

I prefer to frequent small local owbes hardware stores like spring Glenn or goodys but home depot is literally 200 yards from my front door and I cant drive for a while. Always hit or miss w employees. Half know nithibg half know everything. All in all it got me what I needed

The service was terrible. I asked for help looking for a particular screw, and no one took the time to help. The 2 people I did asked for help, said nicole can help you, but I had no idea who this Nicole was. Smh!

We were going to buy a washing machine for my mom who is older and hard for her to stand for a long time but she needed to come to pick it out. We asked Richard that was at the desk by appliances and he said Ill call someone to help you. We waited almost 30 minutes for someone which I had to flag down. The whole time Richard is sitting at his desk. We go to this Home Depot a lot. We were there to purchase a larger item which is a sale for Home Depot Corp. Our service should of been a lot easier then it was.

Worst store in Connecticut. Every time I go to this store there is a problem. This time I called to rent a stump grinder told no problem. Then told they have no one to help load it and I need to get help. I go get a my small trailer go right back there and they rented to some else. B.S GO TO LOWES!!!!

This is the most helpful place for you to get building materials and the help for building a shed. Lessons l learned: well plan all the over-sized building materials you will need, go shopping and have them delivered all at once for $76! You will be glad if you do this😁

Like Home Depot, can be pricey, items usually in stock. Associates are usually knowledgeable.

Went there to look at machines and I think they must of let go half their staff because there was no one around to help me.

Home depot is my place for everything for the house, although the staff are NOT very helpful!! They will point u in the right direction, but dont assist thoroughly, as I think they should.

Great experience, excellent customer service needed help finding the heaters we were not only taking to the heaters. The gentleman explain the difference in each heater so we could buy the heater that would fit best for our needs. Wish I ask for his name, would have left a review on Home depot website.

Out of stock on items, said they had 24 but no one could find them.Always disappointed at the Hamden Home Depot.

They put a 20 lb. Bag of grass seeds in the wrong spot for $38 and wont honor it. Lowes needs to make its way out Hamden ASAP

Walked up to the door 20 minutes late (forgot my glasses) and a night security guard (dont know his name, but looks similar to a 25 year stuck in the dad bod of a 55 year old) asked me what I was doing in an extremely acerbic and authoritative tone. Dude needs to stop pretending hes a navy seal protecting the secrets of area 51 and actually do his job - which is basically standing there and assisting people. Shocks me how a capable human with arms, legs, and eyes can be so useless.

The items they sell are mostly returned by other customers and parts are missing. We purchased major products couple of times only to realize that they were returned by other customers, used and had missing parts.

Always have what I need.

Had to pickup flex house for bathroom sink. Gentlemen at store took us right to location and ensured we got the correct metal flex hose.

A very nice Home Depot. The parking lot is easy to navigate but where you come out is a long way from the entrance. Self Checkout is plentiful and that is the way to go.

Horrible customer service I purchased a washer grill and a AC hard to get someone to help and when you finally reach out to someone they are lost I needed help with getting grill and it took over 30 min one of the employee did t even acknowledge me just ignored me and walked away this place is horrible

Always a problem there, only a few employees really know what theyre talking about and the new crew is useless.

Friendy employees

The majority of employees I ran into were wearing their face masks as chin guards. They did not cover their noses and many had them just around their chin. With covet on the rise I would not feel comfortable walking back into the Hampden home Depot.

First and foremost I love Home Depot. When Im inside one of them its like a kid in a candy store. I walk in needing supplies for a project, and leave with at least a half of dozen new projects in mind.Variety helps with the cost of renovations, so thats a huge financial plus. Especially if you dont have a lot of cash-in-hand to drop. Planning longterm if key.They also do well with seasonal and holiday supplies. Most people wouldnt think to go there for decorations for say Halloween, but then you see they have some of the coolest options available out there.I also like to go there with my son to play with some tools so later on in life we can both do projects together. Its the little things that later on turn into something larger in life.

Had a really negative experience with Victoria in the garden section. Wouldn’t say hello, wouldn’t respond to my question other than a grunt, and had a complete attitude. If you don’t want the job many others would. Terrible.

Never have what you need, even when I look online it says they do. Then if you try to talk to a Mgr., they tell staff theyre busy and cant get there for at least 15 min. Do yourself a favor and go to the one in North Haven!

Lori the department supervisor of tool rental is very rude. I dont know if its a race thing or what but she always has an attitude whenever I come in for tool rentals. This particular incident I told her that we spoke to another department supervisor in the garden department and were instructed to go to tool rental to process a payment, to which she declared which has nothing to do with me.Go to sunbelt tool rental if you need any tools its cheaper and the service is great. Never renting or buying anything from home Depot again.

I am a frequent shopper at Home Depot In HamdenVery recently I had a issue with several combinations locks I purchased.I spoke with a Rob Nilsen who took the necssary time to solve and address my issues.I am a retired VP from YNH and understand the best of costomer service..Would of loved to of had this young man on mystaff.

This place is always in shambles the worst Home Depot in New Haven County. Associates are not friendly at all . Always have problems when I go over there. I’ll never go there again.

Great day today.I needed a weed wacker and leaf blower to clean after Isaisa.I was going to buy them separately but saw a Dewalt combo with both that I wanted and saved $100.

I was torn between giving 2 or 3 stars. The stores problem is that theres almost never anyone around to help and when you finally find someone they often act like theyre too busy to be bothered, or say its not my department, and walk away. Also, if you have someone paged to come help nobody ever comes, ever. This store needs to decide whether customer service is a priority for them. Right now its clearly not.

An older man in the lumber cutting department told me that home depot does not provide free labor to cut your little craft projects, and advised me not to come again. He was extremely rude and inappropriate. The cashier and majority of the floor workers are very sweet, but I will absolutely not be coming back.

This review is based off my experience this evening with employee named Sonny. He deserves a major shout out and really went out of his way for us today. We’d been searching EVERYWHERE for patio furniture and have not been able to find anything in stock. We live in west haven and called the hamden location to check stock. Sonny called us back an hour after he had helped by telling us unfortunately there werent any left to tell us that he found a super similar item and had us look up the SKU if we were interested. I’m so thankful for him going out of his way to do this, we rushed over and purchased this long awaited item. Sonny is the perfect example of amazing customer service and this Home Depot location is lucky to have him! I will return based off this experience.

Havent been to this location in awhile. The young lady at the customer service counter was very nice and helpful.

I did an online order with pick up and didnt read that the order needed 2 hours to process. When I came an hour later, 30 minutes before closing time, they did pick up the order for despite me being mistaken. Cudos! All staf here are doing a great job!
