Pate came out on Aug 4 to repair our dishwasher. The guy told us it was a heating element issue and that they would order the part. They charged us $90 and two and a half months later, they still havent been able to get the part, but they refuse to refund us. So we have to order a new dishwasher anyway and just wasted the $90 and several months of waiting and making do without a dishwasher. If youd like to pay to have your appliance problems diagnosed but not fixed, call Pate. If not, take your business elsewhere. We certainly will be doing that henceforth and advising all our friends to do the same.

I wish I could say good things. After a month of ordering parts, a guy came to put them in. Couldnt get the washer to work made calls, tried several things, then thought to turn on the water. They drained my washer onto the bathroom floor and left it there, popping up my linoleum tiles. They right out refuse to give me a receipt, promise hard copies emails, never one receipt. After they tore up my bathroom floor they said they would be bacck next week, now this is the second week and they arent here yer. They do not take my calls and left me with a broken washer and destroyed my flooring. I consider this company dishonest and clueless

We have used Pate Appliance for many years in our family for repairs. What we like about them is the service they give and theyre honesty.

Pate is awesome. We had a new refrigerator that was defective. Whirlpool had done 6 repairs on it and still couldnt get it fixed. Pate came out and within 5 minutes new exactly what the issue was. They are the only place I trust for appliance repair.

Had oven ignitor relaced about a year ago. It has already quit again.

I had scheduled an appointment with Jake to fix my dishwasher. I had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment. To which he commented that I didn’t seem to be in a hurry. I told him it would be fine. Appointment between 10 and 2. At 2:30 I called. I was then told my appointment had been pushed to between 12 and 4. He said, Sorry you weren’t notified. I informed him that I work nights and I needed to sleep. He called the technician to see when he would arrive. I waited on hold and then was informed that the technician was still coming but he didn’t have the parts to fix the dishwasher. I told him to forget it. I’d waited 2 weeks, my appointment time changed without notification, technician still coming without the part. Now I read that I wasn’t even in your system! Still ticked off!

First off we called and a tech came out and said the part was not in stock and needed to be ordered. He also told us it might take a couple of weeks. Four weeks later we call to find out what the hold up was. Apparently we had fallen through the cracks, (though that is not what they said) and now our tech was on vaca so we had to wait another week. A new service appt. was scheduled and our original tech came out. Upon getting into the problem of our refrigerator he decided the part wasnt needed after all and he zipped tied a tube away from a sensor and that was to fix the problem. (Remember this is after waiting 4-5 weeks for the part, now not needed) The tech charges us only for labor, $100. The next day the refrigerator was having the same issue as before. The next day we get a bill stating they are awaiting payment on the part that we didnt use. I call Monday, Will says theyll be out Tuesday between 1 and 5 and apologizes for the bill. Tuesday we stay home and wait; no one comes, no one calls. Wednesday comes and goes, no one comes, no one calls. Today, Thursday I call and talk to the girl who answers incoming calls. She confirms I was on the schedule for Tuesday..... I am currently waiting for a return call. Not a happy customer here and not a way to run a business.I was contacted by Tom and he explained the mix up over the billing. He was very polite and said he was refunding our $100. I told him it was not necessary but he insisted. He had tried to contact us on Tuesday but for whatever the reason his call did not come through. I appreciate his return call and his friendly manner. I moved too quickly in leaving a negative review that cannot be taken back and for that I am sorry. Issue resolved.

Cant beat their service. Was there Saturday to get a replacement heating element for our Maytag dryer and he fixed me right up! Matched our old one with a in stock element and saved us a lot of time and money. Highly recommend them for any appliance repair parts. Was good to get good old time quality service. Adam came out and helped fix our fridge. He was prompt, friendly courteous and very professional. He took the time to explain our options and did not push anything on us. We waited two days to have them come out because we read all the 5 star reviews. Glad we did instead of having another company come out sooner. We asked for extra cards because we wanted to share with friends because it is hard to find good service these days.

They set the conditions for service: in this case the 4 hour window during which I have to wait for them. The least they can do is either arrive during that time or contact me. When they do neither they display a contempt for my time and an indifference to good service that makes me not want to call them again ever.

Pate talks the talk - does not walk the walk. Horrible experience despite the friendly face they put on. My washer wasn’t working, so I asked them to repair it. They charged me $170 for an inspection and pump (that I found out I didn’t need). When the issue persisted, they kept me waiting for two weeks to get a part and never responded to my messages. Finally, they told me that they are not able to fix the issue. Then they charged me another $80 for the followup visit even though according to their own policy follow up visits after an initial inspection are free of charge for 90 days (and the followup visit was within that timeframe). Given the other reviews here it’s possible that I was just unlucky but overall I had a horrible experience with Pate Appliance Service.Update: two weeks after I posted this review, I realized that Pate had refunded the $170 they had charged me (and never followed up on the second charge they had claimed). They still didn’t fix my washer, but at least they seem to have the decency to make it up when they mess up on customer experience. It’s only fair to change my rating from 1 star to 4. hats off for trying to make it up to your most unsatisfied customers, Pate.

Bought a new washer Speed Queen love it. Cloths feel clean and look cleaner then they have for the past year. Much better then the High Efficiency washer I had, clothes never smelled clean.

Great service! Repairman, Tom, called 10 minutes before arrival giving me time to leave work and meet him at my house. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer and because Pate keeps good records on their customers, he found that the problem part was still under warranty. Called company to fix a one year old oven range in my home. Gentleman came out, told us that the part needed was unavailable and that we would need to buy a new oven range. He charged us $85.15 for coming out and doing nothing. I thought it wise to seek a second opinion. Called a different company. They came out and fixed the issue within 30 minutes. Called Pate appliance back, explained the situation and asked for a refund and they refused. Beware of these guys. Not sure what type of business theyre running, but it left me uneasy. Beware of this potentially fraudulent business practice.

Ive been a customer of Pate Appliance Service for 10 years now.When we moved to town our washing machine was damaged in the move. We didnt know who to call or trust. We called Pate on the recommendation of a friend. They came out and fixed the broken hot water connector the same day. They were friendly and professional while navigating around all of our moving boxes. We got another 10 years out of that washing machine.Since then Ive replaced my dryer, dishwashing machine, stove, refrigerator and a couple weeks ago we bought a new front loading washing machine - all from Pate.
